Picking up a few caches while travelling south to Victoria.
Just after we did this one, two park ranger vehicles pulled up and the rangers were quite 'dismayed' that we were here. "This is a restricted area" they said, and pointed to a sign that implied we could have a $1100 fine! They knew about geocaching, but were insistent that the cache should not be here, even after our explanations and offering to remove it, they took the geocache away with them. So it is no longer here. We told them that we would ask for the cache to be archived. So they decided not to fine us!

was only able to have a quick look before the security guard came along & said you cant park here
After the flood that came through here last year I had fears for this one. So, after getting confirmation I was in the right spot I elected to replace it with a nano. If the owner wants to do some maintenance they could replace it and delete my log if they do wish.
A lovely detour of the highway. Very pretty.

Took advantage of a lull in the traffic. Found on a wonderful day of Caching! TFTC.
OCW StumbleTrip, Falling Rock and Bob the Minion. Lovely drive to the location and a quick park and grab. TFTC
Magnificent spot here and the clue had me looking in the most obvious place that wasn't quite obvious in the reality. TFTC
My bud said he found it, had to ditch him on the bridge because it was way to narrow
Was hard to fund a park and was also a difficult find but was worth it and heaps of fun
Decided to take a quick detour off the Hume Highway to grab this cache and ended up spending quite some time exploring the dam. What a great spot. Can't believe we've never ventured down here before. More caches required hehe! TFTC

Parked on outbound side. Not much room .nice hide need more than a hand to get it out.no muggles but 2 cars inbound after cache signed, then security car, allgoodtftc
Just a quick little outing to have a look at the dam wow an an amazing picnic area. TFTC it wasn't busy so no troubles avoiding muggles.
Found when out and about on my birthday. When i got to GZ i remembered having a go at this on when i first started caching six year ago. Only had a Tom Tom then. Garmin 550 much easier.Well hid all the same. TFTC GOtcha16
Lot longer road in than I was expecting and even had a wallaby jump out in front of me from nowhere. Took it a lot slower after that, not that I was speeding in the first place as road can be narrow and winding. Even finding somewhere to pullover at GZ was probably illegal and why people have been stopped by rangers. Lucky it was really quiet with no one about today and a quick traditional find.
Pretty sure with the name of this cache I was looking where I should... New cap but no find.
we got to the gates early, 9:20 and found them already open. A very pleasant drive in seeing wallabies and a lyrebird. TFTC
At first I was looking in the wrong area but soon realised where I should have been looking. Found it immediately. TFTC.
No signal around here so I started looking in the obvious place.
These rivers and dams certainly are beautiful. Such a pity that it is wrapped in rules and regulations and we can not enjoy the area and facilities more. I half expected a sign that said "no farting" - it would not hve been out of place amongs all the other NO signs.
Anyway, enough of th rant! TFTC

Parked nearby on the way out, despite signs requesting that we do not.
No reception, so started a lengthy search. Used the map coordinates, and kept on searching on the side of the bridge as that is where the pointer was. Still couldn't find it.
We were about to give up when we checked the very first location a little more closely, and sure enough, that was it.
Thanks for the cache, nice river!

After visiting Sydney returning home to Canberra and made a few stops en-route rather than following the Highway all the way home
found after a a picnic lunch at the Dam got this one the way out.
I think most people must be confused with this one and the name but widen your search a few metres and it should be an easy find.. doh.
all good
thanks

On the way home before the gates get locked, a quick and easy find, a bit of a bugger to get the container out. TNSLLN

TFTC,
Had a great time in the Southern Highlands area for a few days and heading home.
Short detour so visiting trackables can discover local points of interest and build miles.

Highlands day trip with Sol de Lune. This ended up being a quick stop, but we had to do it on the way out as a work crew pulled up when we first stopped to change a speed sign. Thanks.

Very Deep after lots of rain I would think......
Found after a DMR crew had change the speed limit sign...not that they change the speed limit itself, just the damage sign.
An interesting spot to check out the river.....and the remnants of the old bridge.

2022. I called on this one on the way out to access the easy parking spot. After a bit of a search I was left empty handed, so time to try a little harder. I thought I had looked there! TFTC.
Nice quick find on the way back from Avon. What a view ! Thanks for this cache.
A quick drive by with FurFacesLL after a weekend in Sydney playing seven games of softball in the SDSA masters comp. (Yep, gold medal for us!)
A lovely spot to put a cache. Bit worried about FF1 talking about abseiling down the cliffs considering neither of us can barely walk at the moment!
Took puppy TB, TFTC.

Heading home after playing in a masters softball competition with hccatcher11415 in Sydney. The team was good enough to snag the gold medal in the top division, well done!
Nice spot, found a place to pull over. Hide was located, log signed and now off to collect the others close by in the fading light.

Wow, magnificent little spot! The geokiddies loved this one, obviously watched them closely. A lovely day and a great end to a long weekend! Thanks.

A nice hot new years day out geocaching, so though we would do some of the Dams around the area.
Nice location on the way back out from visiting the Avon Dam, Signed the log book, cache in fantastic condition.
Prob best to get this cache on the way "out" there is one spot to park off the road on the right hand side before you cross the 'one way' bridge. Don't scramble down under the bridge like we did there is no need LOL

I can't believe we didn't find this the first time we were here about 18 months ago. We'll put that down to being new to caching the first time around.
Today this was an easy find. We took two trackables and left one behind that wants to go to Ayers Rock.
TFTC. Cache all good - dry and clean.

Stopped by on our drive to Canberra from Sydney. Not what I expected, but a lot of fun nonetheless! Extracting the container was a bit of a trick. What a lovely area, and the weather was gorgeous. Thanks!
First one I found solo went back and logged today with MrRaindrop, good hiding spot
One of four DNF`S AT AVON & NEPEAN DAMS, we wonder if the water board has removed all the caches around here.
I love bridges and dams - but don't think I've ever been to this one. Always looked at the sign on the way further south. Today was the day. It's a lovely dam and I especially liked the Egyptian motifs. Thanks for bringing us here.
The security guard turned up just after I got out of the car. He asked what I was doing so I got him involved in the search and he ended up finding it. I think he was pretty pleased with himself too. Left pirate TB.
Missed stopping here going to and from the dam. Returned to give it a go. TNLNSL. TFTC
We were a bit unsure about stopping for this cache as the notes said the parking was not good, but the parking area was enough for our "Urban Geomobile". What a great spot to stop. The water was absolutely fantastic. Stayed for a bit taking in the view. TFTC and getting us to stop here.
TFTC! Loggin alot today, so sorry theres no spcific message about the cache, but I really do enjoy every cache I find
Found today with Davieson, Rindy9, GeoJackCo, Prospector27 and Noah.

From Wollongong this was my closest unfound cache to home... not anymore! We once again made the trip towards the dams, and grabbed the cache. Chip salivated over the water hole, at least the ducks seemed to be enjoying it!
Cheers!

A nice easy find in a deserted area. It is such a pity that people can't make use of the perfect swimming hole across from the cache. It would be great to visit on one summers day. Couldn't even be sneaky and walk to it because its in plain sight from the road and the fine does seem a little steep. Well I guess we all have to drink something.
Cheers.

Searched for about half an hour in all the usual places.Even jumped the guard rail to an area that one should no go into ($1100.00 fine ?). Others seem to find it easy.Must be a bit of a Log.Even so could not find.Gotcha16
The name clicked as I arrived at GZ, and I had the cache in hand straight away - nice for a change! Thanks Try hards for the cache
