Had a good look around, but failed at this one. We live near here, so will try again next time we pass by. The cows over the fence even came over to see what we were doing.
4 of us spent 1hour searching around and still no luck! Either it's buried or we're blind? Maybe try again later.
After our busy period with the animal minding business slowly coming to an end, a plan was hatched with Rapidlywild for an assault on the caches around the region. The weather was kind, warm and overcast.
We stopped in Yass to commence this assault and then moved further north to Cowra.
After Cowra we decided to have a go at the Harry Potter mini powertail. After completing that we slowly headed our way back to Canberra collecting caches scattered along the way.
This one had a giggle factor with it when RW got a fight from a little spider that decided to call this cache home. Things flew everywhere but we're soon gathered and placed back in the container. The spider couldn't be seen anywhere. Think it too got scared off.

Plans were put into place with one party of the FurfacesLL team to do a country drive and pick up some caches in Yass, Cowra, Young and surrounds. We made plans to set off early and headed North for a long day of caching. After finishing off Yass, we headed further north.
We had now finished off what we could in Cowra, and finishing off the Harry Potter mini trail. The GZ for this one had us in the middle of no where, so we put the GPSr's down and used caching instincts. Soon the cache was located and I was given a rather big fright when an 8 legged freak popped out of the cache as I opened the lid. I threw all the contents in fear. Soon retrieved all the contents and replaced them.
Log signed, cache replaced and on we went.
Thanks for the cache placement tigersden

Actually pulled up here, it's very van friendly, before going into town so had to come back after a coffee break. Not a bad outlook.
Joelisa and I are heading home and collecting the last few caches of the day on route. Had trouble zeroing in on the GZ and even overlooked the cache location. Joelisa had a more thorough look and had the cache in hand. TFTC. We still had one more to pick up on the way home but we would only get to the location after midnight. Thus our big, epic, geocaching day comes to a conclusion at 11.45pm. Had an awesome day hanging out with Joelisa and finding so many caches. Loved it!!
A quick find on a big day out caching with The Storm Man. This was the final for the day as we didn't get the next before midnight. So this leaves me with 190 for the day. The biggest day of caching I personally have done. Fantastic day! TFTC.
Tftc.. took strength left button.. beautiful view.... fun find after cherry picking
Taking a day trip to the ACT and Canberra since our location is within a couple hours drive.
We found and signed the cache fairly easily

Caravanning around Oz from Perth WA, caching on our way. TFTC. Great view of the town and easy parking with the van!
The 5 year old grabbed this one super quick much to the 11 year olds disgust!! Left a track able!!
This was a lovely little spot to stop and stretch the legs before heading in to the twin townes below
I soon found the well hidden cache and while I was signing the logbook ....
.... a familiar 'throb throb throb throb' sound came into hearing [:o]
No !! It was not me heartbeat racing at the thought of another smilie !! [:o)]
It was indeed the sound of a rake of multiple diesel locomotives dragging a long string of squeaky wagons behind them towards Harden !!
This is a great spot to watch the long trains snake past
The train in question had no less than five NR class locomotives !!

What an awesome view! A great place to bring us to, very pleasant to pull over and enjoy. Thank you tigersden and nannymo.
I've tried to find this before without success. Today had a good look around but still had trouble. In the end you just have to trust the GPS and start scratching around. Eventually spotted it. Good to get this one off the list! Used to go past here every year on our pilgrimage to Petal Falls further down the road.
Thanks
Thanks
6th on an easter roadtrip. We pulled in here to check the map and found there was a cache here. Made a quick find...
Day 79 of my trip to Brisbane.
Eigthth day on the road, today we make it home!!! We'll have brekky, then head off, caching the while. I'm a bit late with the logging, I'm home now, and have five days of caching to log, of which this is the last. Have I made 1000 caches on the trip? No, today's five gets me to 999. That'll learn me to keep up with my logging!!! Still, the GeoSchnauzers and I have had a great trip, and now it's nearly time to go back to work (shudder).
No 3 of 5 today. Thanks, tigersden. Oh, well hidden!! The GeoSchnauzers and I wandered around for about 15 minutes waiting for a muggle in a truck to continue. In that time, I pin-pointed GZ, but couldn't see the cache. So we wandered around, looked at the scenery, saw no trains or planes, and finally all muggles removed themselves. Then, back to GZ, and a rummage was needed to turn up the cache.

Here in town looking after my mum for a few days... Thought I would check on this on.
Cache is still in correct location.

Out spending a couple of days with my eldest daughter finding caches in the Yass/Bookham/Cootamundra regions. A quick find. Thanks tigersden.
We had an end of year work activity where five of us hit the road from Canberra for an overnight stay out on a farm and relax from a long year.
As part of the "education" component of the trip I gave a short presentation about geocaching and then on the drive back we decided to find some along the route.
This was our last find for the day and had a nice view of the place before we stopped for a bite to eat in town.

Love this location! Visiting the area from Canada. Swapped TBs, will take our new friend back to the Northern Hemisphere. TFTF!
A well hidden but simple, cache here Left TB and enjoyed the view over Harden TFTC tigersden
Found it. Picked a few wild daisies like I did in my childhood (often when 'train chasing' with my dad). TFTC.
A bit windy today so a quick retrieval and retreat to the car. No problem trains right now. Tftc.
[:(!] Went for a weekend caching run to do the ES Series (Endangered Species Power Trail), after spending the night at Burrinjuck Waters State Park (I recommend it), I was once again on me way back to my abode and picking up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes, once the fog had lifted, the sun was out and it was a marvelous day for caching after experiencing the previous day of miserable weather.
I love it

First find on a beautiful winters day. The wind was a bit cold today. The views were great and the kids sat on the seat eating their apples before the next stop. TFTC
Heaps of cars turn onto the road to Young. TFTC tigersden
After an enjoyable 4 days in the Grampians it was time to depart. Not much spare time was available on the first day and the second was very wet with heavy rain, so geocaching was off the agenda. However on our final day the weather was back to fine and we also had sufficient time to look for some between Cootamundra and the Hume highway.

Headed out early this morning on another caching adventure. Drove down the long black line to the Southern Highands and points beyond including Goulburn Yass, Harden, Young and some other places on the way home. Second day of the adventure. Departed Harden another early morning start Great cache. TFTC

Quick find at a location I frequented growing up... Did you know at night the town lights are rumored to spell out "DUMP"? True story!!
TFTC,
After attending the Oz Mega 2014 Event it is time to head home and grab a few caches along the way using a random stop every 1/2 hour system.
Visited a group of trackables.

Nice easy find on my way back to Canberra. Particularly appreciated it wasn't in the nearer "obvious" spot and therefore less prone to be accidentally discovered by muggles.
TFTC.

A nice little park overlooking the district; well yeah there was something on the railway track for sure; a Toyota LandCruiser with train wheels. That was different! TFTC TN and left a weroamin token.
found in the company of geo grandson, Haydos & weroamin, those geoboys had the cache in hand in under a minute whilst I was still enjoying the view. a good place for a cache. tftc
A relative quick drive by except for the B Double trailer parked in the way, navigated around it ,signed log and on way, tftview
A quick find on the way home once the phone decided that GZ was not 27m from everywhere. Signed and replaced. Bag is split but log is dry.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Nice quick find when GPS caught up!Found on our road trip while visiting friends!TFTC
A smoko stop and a cache find - can't do much better than that. Thanks and cheers.

I'm logging these caches a week after our trip. Today I went caching in the west of Sydney, and one of the caches I looked for was one of a series of Train Spotter caches. It, like so many of that series, took me ages to find, despite a D1.5 rating. This one however, was a very nice cache that was easy to find.
No trains passed by while we were here, but we saw one later while looking for another cache.
Thanks

We were on our way to Harden with the purpose of looking at a windmill there. It was another stage in a long multi we have begun which starts in Sydney. We almost drove past this cache. I spotted it on my GPS map just in time to pull over.
We have a train spotter series in Sydney. Some of them are easy, some can be quite difficult. But given the size of this cache, it was a much simpler hide and so was easy to locate. And the cache gave good views to the train line across the hills. Although it wasn't until we were doing another cache in Harden that we actually saw a train. Thanks

I found this cache some time ago but forgot to log it, so today I had another visit and I placed a trackable in it.
Thanks for both visits.
Thanks for both visits.
Pulled over and had to make myself look busy inside my car until a muggle and her car left. Great view in the daytime! TFTC
We've driven past this spot many times since I learned there was a cache there, but hadn't had the time to stop before this day.
We stopped by here following an athletics carnival in Harden/Murrumburrah. I have to brag, our GeoGirl came first in discus! She has worked hard to improve her throws and got a personal best on the day.
For our trip home we decided to have a caching adventure to finish off some caches in Wombat and Young. This was our first stop of the day.

Nice trip to visit family in cootamundra finding caches on the way with Frances tftc
Collected XTMGE2 will move this one to another dark place on our travels to Sydney
Driving away from the Riverina we stopped to pick up a few caches. Thanks to all the COs for their initiative in adding to our journey by making it so much more enjoyable. This cache was significant for us as it was in a position overlooking Harden, a town lived in by a shocker about 60 years ago when the railways carriageworks were open in town. It was also our 500th find for our geocaching year.
Was almost too cold to get out of the car! Found at 5:15pm. Took skateboard and left behind a gold coin and a free marsbar ♡ TJ.Hanno xx + Eliza
Night find!
It's pretty hard finding caches in the dark without torches!
Note to self: keep a torch in the car just in case
Took: 1948 penny
Left: plastic skateboard

Found this cache at 12:30pm while on our way home to the Southern Highlands after being in Forbes for the weekend. Nice place to stop and watch the trains go thru. Just as we were having our lunch a train wizzed on by. There is a nice new picnic table and cover there now.
Thanks Tigersden and nannymo for the hide.
