A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter Cool
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine SurprisedWink
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today I found 23 caches Smile and had 3 DNFs Sad

DNF! Sad The day's first DNF and it was a shame to DNF this cache as it is a very interesting site.
Geodad and geobro said it would be at the peper tree but I followed the GPSr and was near a fence post.
I lifted the rock at the base but there was no cache under it Sad
It was only after I got home that I realised whose cache this was so the coords would have been pretty accurate, as his coords are almost always spot on!
However we called the search off very quickly as the lady over the road came out almost as soon as we stopped Sad
Loved seeing this Cobba site and reading the history Cool
It will be pretty speccy once the restorations are completed. [^]

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.

No luck for us here today. The obvious spots were checked without joy. We were watched by from the house across the road.

Another one not to find it but does look like there is some maintainance/repair work going on so could easily have been lost/muggled.

26-Mar-15
Not found after a good look. Problem is also that with no hint, neither I nor the CO knows if I looked in the right place. The only way to be sure is for another find (and there have been none for 6 months) or the maintainer has to come out for a look. A hint might avoid that, not to mention enable a find.

21-Mar-15
Arrived at GZ and didn't attempt it as nearby resident muggle were watching us. I'm glad we came just to see the structure and take a couple of photos.

I had a look for this one but I couldn't find it today. I spent a bit of time, but had to move on. My thanks to The Rejects for placing it.

Found at 10am, interesting to see the "wattle & daub " building technique. Such a small structure too, so different to the massive highway "rest stops" of today which are considerable here but amount to shopping centre's in the UK! What a different world! SL TFTC

Went to look for this one specifically and found no problems. Too a photo also. Thanks for the history.

Found on way to Adelaide for work/holiday. Got photo of modern geocoach in front of sign. I guess the bindii's wouldn't bother the steel wheels, but the horses might have complained. Wasn't hard to make the find while muggle at nearby unpacked her ute. TFTC

I bet the neighbours love this cache. Their dog barked the whole time we were there. We admired the old building and signed the log at the same time. The 'prize winning cakes' at the nearby shop are very nice - as is the gallery.

#2276 Found whilst heading toward Barmera, South Australia for a good friends 40th birthday. We took a longer route to cover some caching areas we'd never been before, we were headed from Deni to Hay then through to Mildura. This was a fantastic historical site to be encouraged to via caching - spent a good while checking out the structure. Thanks for the cache Tk2

This is the 1045th cache find for WazzaAndWenches.

After a few days of holidays with the Wench and the Wenchette I think I have earned a break away on my own. Of course I'll have to look for a few caches along the wayBig Grin

I felt quite exposed not knowing if the neighbour across the road was watching me. Even so the cache was retrieved and taken back to the car to be signed.

Thanks again The Rejects

We were fortunate enough to meet a local on site who gave us some history of this once thriving store. Reminded us of how things were way back then - thank you Tk2 for bringing us here.
