No problems finding this today while out for a bike ride along here this afternoon, TFTC
Found with kakariki on a back road trip from Makikihi to Waimate. The bush has been cut down but cache still all good. TFTC
We hit the jackpot on this one. We found 2 caches at GZ so we signed both just in case. TFTC.
Heading to Waimate for lunch - with feet firmly on the ground instead of in the air!Nice easy P&G here and plenty of shelter in the rain. Had just returned the log as a muggle turned up but exited without being spotted TFTC drawp
Taking the scenic route out of Waimate going to come out on SH1 at Makikihi. Geocaching along the way. Tftc
We came here and had a good look. Had seen the dnf's but were hoping it was replaced and tried anyway. No luck for us here.
#15738. Quick find (didn't spot any golfers on a rather grey, chilly morning). TFTC.
Our last day in Waimate, so we thought we'd better find some Waimate caches before heading back home to Christchurch . We set out at 8am on a grey dismal morning, eager to find as many caches as possible before the forecast rain started (luckily it remained dry until late morning).
Time to start our journey back to Chch, using the scenic route, of course. After reading a recent log, we had a replacement container and log book but didn't need to use it as it looks like the CO has done maintenance recently. TFTC.

We were so lucky to find this one and if it hadn't been for the covering stone we wouldn't have found it!!! It was in very poor condition and was inside the fence line!!! Thanks. I love this course it is so well looked after.
Day 2 of our 6-Day End of the Year caching trip to Dunedin. A quick look at the obvious locations but we had to leave in search of a restroom instead. Thanks anyway.
We must've looked very dubious characters as the walker coming along as we pulled up crossed to the other side of the road before she got to us and then back again when she'd passed. She also kept looking back as I ducked in to retrieve the cache. Funny - can't help but wonder what she thought. TFTC # 10106
I have been planning this trip for a while now as I had some airpoints due to expire and wanted to go somewhere for Wellington Anniversary Weekend. So I've made it a 4 day weekend and come down from Palmerston North for a caching road trip. I have two goals for this weekend, to get two 2500 caches before 23 January as that is when I took up caching last year and to get caches on as many minutes as possible that will hopefully qualify me for a challenge cache in the Manawatu. Day 1 is Christchurch to Oamaru.
A visit to Waimate wasn't on my plan for today but just as I got tithe Waimate turnoff, they were closing state highway one due to an accident with a detour through Waimate so I had to adapt.
Cache was quickly found here. Looks like a lovely golf course for those that way inclined. Tftc

A quick find, the first on an afternoon trip to find some of the caches on this side of Waimate. Signed log, TFTC
I had left this one for today's cache-a-day cache and before I headed off for Awamoko for a few days.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #267 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and sixty seventh on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip. Signed logs as HOAC to save room
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Interesting area, thanks for bringing us here and placing caches for us to find. Now the cache name makes sense!

Having a ball caching around Waimate!! Last time we visited it was before caching, and I feel that we never got to know the place until now [^] Quick find here, and even the sun decided to make this a nice day TFTC!!

No one about on this part of the golf course meant a quick find for us. Found with Woody104 and Aoraki Sheep.
Nice looking course. No time for a round today, find the cache and onto the next one.
Found with DebsNZ and Aoraki.

Headed out for a weekend of crazy caching with sharkiefan - it was all about numbers this weekend!
For me personally, I needed the numbers so that I could get enough caches to bring my average a day back up to 4 caches at least for this year, as on a streak it's not really possible to find heaps of caches in your home hood!
This was cache number 5 out of the 116 we found over the two days. And a huge thank you to all the cachers who put out all these caches! Loved the fun time we had - though weekend could have ended better!
Sorry for not writing cooler logs, but heading overseas in a couple days, and I don't exactly want to be behind in my logging then!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 405

A quick grab on the way home after - yep, you guessed it - a steady stream of people chasing a white ball around a lovely patch of green!
TFTC, worried the winds/ fallen trees nearby may have disrupted it but it was fine
A quick find with no golfers in the immediate area, you've got to be quick around here, golf is obviously pretty popular in this area. TFTC
Another perspective on this rather nice golf course.. and another cache under our belt.
Had to time this right with alot of golfers & walkers enjoying the nice autumn afternoon
My Mum _aphrodite_ took me to this spot. It's my first cache, I really enjoyed myself.
Found my first cache. Originally it was tricky, as the previous geocacher had not replaced the rock and leaves had covered it. However... with a little help from _aphrodite_ I had success TFTC

Congratulations to the two first timers. It is more fun the more you find. TFTC
This the very first cache I have tried to find. What a hoot. 2pm on a sunny autumn day, had to avoid golfers, of course. Looking forward to many more. Thanx drawp.
