I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi Ca_Kiwis2

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Regards

We went both ways from GZ for many many meters and did both sides of the rock wall. Don't believe this is here anymore. Requires maintenance.

I have tried a couple of times to try and find and before leaving home I added to my offline list as I saw a green log but didn’t open it. No joy today and it is annoying that the green found log was actually a DNF

With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...

There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!

1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...

After the police moved us on from McLeans Island, we decided to head south-east. There are lots of interesting caches to visit in the area, including a puzzle trail, Canterbury CANZ and the Little River Ad Lab... We stopped for this hide along the way. Based on the number of DNFs, we didn’t entertain high hopes of finding this one. The present fence line is a mess, but we took the time to systematically lift fallen stones and found this one. It is still in place... Thanks Ca_Kiwis2 and TFTC.

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 6: An early start as we ventured out of Christchurch towards the mesmerisingly beautiful l hills lakes and coastline of the Banks Peninsula before heading back to the airport to catch our flight home. It's fair to say I've never taken so many photos in a single area in ny life than I took around here, the scenery is breathtaking!

Wednesday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Six saw us travel from Christchurch out to the East for some sightseeing (absolutely stunning scenery) and caching before returning to the Airport and heading home for Brisbane. Orange Crew did the honours for this one, as he was graciously allowing me not to start the day with soaked shoes! Took a little while until the find was made.

This was the 5th of 18 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Ca_Kiwis2***, for showing us this place. Smile

Found with StreetWalker on a weekend trip to Akaroa, our first visit in over 7 years.
This cache popped up just a few months after our last visit to the area. Pity these lovely old stone churches didn't fare very well in the earthquakes, I wonder what it's future is.
We weren't sure whether to trust the co-ords, given the instructions on the cache page, but ended up finding the cache pretty much where the GPSr was pointing. TFTC.

We went to NZ for six weeks and did some geocaching on the way Smile

We started exploring in Christchurch. What an exciting city, we loved it! The ReStart Market, the food trucks, the people, awesome city! After CHCH we went south. Dunedin and the pinguins were great! We went to Stewart Island and even Ulva Island to see some birds and find a geocache down south. From there we went to the North. Doubtfulsound was beautiful and sunny, Lake Wanaka wonderful! Abel Tasmantrack is an awesome hike, i can recommend it to all geocachers. The North Island was also a succes. Rotorua and the Vulcano's, wow! Napier, Tongariro Crossing, Ohopi Beach, White Island, big Kauri trees, Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands... it was all fantastic.
We did love travelling and camping in NZ.

Even here so much damage! Had to climb over the wall....and got it!

MPLC from the Netherlands.

SisterCorny travelling Asia and Oceania for four month, now in New Zealand.
Our last day in NZ, flying out of CHC tonight, we drove very slowly from Little River back to the airport, stopping for views, coffee and caches. We had a great time down here and hopefully we will come back in a couple of years...
Took us a while until we finally found the right spot... Nice little church... TFTC

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. Toby and Zara are playing tag from Springs Junction to Akaroa. We park Zara up and jump into Toby, with the Seagnoid navigator via phone & scribe and I delegated to log blogger and driver.
This church was interesting so had to walk around it. Extra supports to help it stay standing. Another one bagged. TFTC Cheers
