We found the cache today, cache is still there! Greetings from The Netherlands. (Made our queries long time ago).
After all these years they have at last decided to build and it has to be very close to the Store so to save a close neighbour I will now have to archive this cache.
been past here many times without thinking about the remains of this old building. The reason I like geo caching! Section (next door?) being built on, may make retrieving this cache a little more difficult in the future. tftc
Another interesting reminder of the past. Tftc

Time has certainly taken its toll on what I guess was once a thriving enterprise. There only remains a hint of how it used to be.
Was always curious about this site and now I know what it was, thanks erninz, logged with Granville86a
Lovely ( and historic ) spot to hide and look for a cache near the sea. Easy access and a quick find for my daughter and me.
TFTC SL Not quite where I thought it should be according to pointer on cache page - but found after a few looks.
Never noticed this before when we've zoomed past, thanks for making us stop and take note. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Out for a wander to show someone about caching. Thought it was a good one to start with seen as he lived across the road!!!

Have never noticed this and it sure won't have been shifted.!!!! Found swiftly. Nice clean find. Thanks.
On the way home from Timaru, I had to have a break, so why not stretch the legs looking for a cache. TFTC.
We are staying at Rakaia Gorge this week, and we decided to spend a day travelling south so we could complete 2 Auckland challenge caches. For the 'So Far Away Challenge' we needed to find 10 caches that are 1000km or more from home. And for our Full Geocaching Licence we needed to find 50 caches in a day that are at least 1km apart. We have also been wanting to visit Moeraki Boulders (which also happens to be 1001 kms from home), so we had to time our trip around the tides. The 8.30am low tide meant we had to leave very early to travel 220kms from Rakaia Gorge to Moeraki , then find at least 10 caches further south before caching our way back north.
We had a very enjoyable day exploring further south than we have travelled before, clocking up close to 500kms, finding 69 caches along the way, and achieving both the challenge cache goals we had set.
Pulled off the main drag and spent a short time looking around this old relic. Found the cache once we were on the right side of the wall.
Thanks for your part in helping make our day so much fun.

Found on our Invercargill to Christchurch road trip. Thanks to all the cache owners who have put out some great caches in some great locations, we enjoyed our trip and enjoyed many of the places we found ourselves. SL TFTC.
Had looked for this a year ago and couldn't find it - suspect it had been removed at the time. This time it was easy! Thanks
We have driven past lots of times and often wondered what this was. Thanks for the reason to check it out.
19 of 100 on a road trip up to Christchurch and then down to Te Anau. A quick easy find in the rain. Awesome piece of history. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Quick Find, one one around to see what 1eyednbf (one eyed and proud of it) was up to, TFTH
Always thought it had something to do with coastal defence or something similar so was interesting to hear what it actually was.

We wondered what this building used to be and now we know. Odd that there was a sealed roadway right up to the building. Left a TB to continue on its journey. TFTC
This is something that we would normally drive by without a thought. Thanks for making us stop
quick find tftc my daughter especially happy as I let her have a quick driving lesson, woe the teenage years are well and truely upon me ...maybe I can work this to my advantage ..cacher chauffeur???
Replaced today as it was truly soaked. Please cover with hint object so it is nice and dry for the next finder.
Through a billion of thistles in flip-flops to find a very, very wet cache container... This definitely needs some care!
Heading south to Dunedin and stopped in here on the way.
The farmer was in a tractor in the paddock nearby and gave me a wave as he went about his tasks.

6th of 13 for the day. Quick drive by - albeit with a walk through a paddock. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #195 for us.
Selectively caching our way from Dunedin to Christchurch today to catch a plane home to OZ at 0600 in the morning. 23 caches today for a 16 day caching total of 204. Drove down the road and saw the old structure and soon arrived at a safe place to park. Followed the little track in the grass and soon had container in hand. TFTC.
Parked nearby for lunch, and went for a quick stroll while Anna was making a nice roll from a baguette bought at Ormaru. An easy find today. There were lots of nice birds flying around and nesting on the cliffs nearby, thanks erninz.
Was on my way South to the first Mega in New Zealand which was being held in Dunedin. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with fozzmiester and agcnz and go on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 1 of the road trip.
After finding GC38CRX - River Gauge ( South Canterbury ), we continued making our way South and noticed that there was two more caches that were on our left and knew that there was a traditional cache as well as a multi. Decided that we would have a go at them since we were in the area and decided that we would go for the Trad first.
As we arrived at GZ we noticed that there wasnt too much left of the old structure, was a bit of a shame that the old building had virtually gone. As we got out of the car we were teamed up with StreetWalkerNZ and Troodles at GZ and we all manage to find the cache very quickly. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this interesting and historical spot, would not have know about this structure if it was not for Geocaching, TFTC TNLNSL (4928), now it is time to go and check out this multicache, WP1 isn't that far away, but not sure about the final.

Came by here with Roostaman on the way to Dunedin on this our third day of caching in NZ, and I must admit I did wonder what this used to be until I had a read of the cache page. Great seeing these little interesting spots of days gone by.

This was a interesting place to stop. The small township nearby must get buffeted by seaspray on a rough day.
Found very early in the morning after just having had to backtrack 80km to find a phone which was lost nearby. Thanks for drawing my attention to this historical structure.
Day 2, Geraldine to Dunedin. What a gorgeous day to be caching in St Andrews. It was windy but well worth the views. A train passed as we were signing the logbook. We also picked up a TB from here and will take it to the NZ Mega. TFTC
#4197. Parled just before our Wellington comrades, but they drove a bit further and had the log book ready and waiting for us. Interesting structure. TFTC.
Traveling with Team Spinner in our campervan. We are on our way to the Mega Event on the South Island, stopping at various interesting places. What no gift shop in this store?
Cache has been popular the past few days as Mega hordes travel south.
We found this cache in the company of fellow Wellingtonians who had muggled us at a previous cache. Interesting piece of history.

Found on the "Gangsters" NZ Mega 2012 trip with steeba, The Rats and Farmer Frentzen. A good bit of history in the area. The prickles had all be trampled so a simple find.
Thanks erninz for the cache. Stats for our trip can be found here http://www.campersdownunder.com.au/geocaching/NZTrip/stats2.html

This old store was for sale but doesn't look like it has many offers made, even with it's view to the sea - maybe because it is a bit off the main road. Still it had some customers shopping for a cache. PurdiePurdie located the shelf that it was placed on.
484 and 12/55 for the day
Yes I need help, I'm a shopaholic... I even visited here but unfortunately there were no wares on display. I looked and looked as JMG sat on the sidelines and watched... and sighed... lol pix to follow This shop is definitely past its use-by date.
The GeoJuMP team were heading south for the NZ Mega but this structure caught our eye and we enjoyed our time exploring it. Beautiful sea views. TFTC

#3280 Heading south to Dunedin with DazzPete for the NZ Mega. We continued on foot as the Britz barge was parked & we needed some exercise. The boys were way ahead of the girls and Dad had already located the cache by the time they caught up. The cache was well hidden and in good condition. This place has quite a long history! Our thanks to erninz for bringing us here. Cheers
NZ12. Plenty of walls, but very vacant. It is for sale, so I wonder what will happen here next. Thanks.

Day 3 of our N Z Mega Event Adventure as we were slowly making our way down to Dunedin in our hire camper van geo mobile. We had arrived in Christchurch on a very cold and rainy day, but the weather was now beautiful and sunny - perfect caching weather. We found this cache quite easily and with the log quickly signed, we jumped back into our cache mobile to continue our adventure. Thank you for having placed the cache emienz
