Out for a brief drive whilst Mrs Msc20 is with family.Id noticed this pretty wee church on my drive past to another cache some 10 minutes prior so was pleased to be able to return so quickly for a closer look. Not as obvious a GZ as I initially thought but once Id found the correct one of three I spied the cache quickly. Thanks Grobyc#5550Logged using Cachly.
Thanks bro, took me quite a while till I found that one big tree. Just nice to find them knowing theyre actually there.
Coords are off but found thanks to others' comments. Log is Soaked. We should have bought a replacement. TFTC
We stopped at the old dairy factory for coffee and walked up the overgrown path to find this cache. Read the previous logs and headed in. Found the "swimming pool" cache. We emptied it out but it will refill. Luckily someone has placed some waterproof log paper in. Thanks for bringing us here grobyc
Took a tad of time to find the co-ords are very blunt..but thats an easy fix sadly the container was full of aqua ..dried out as best possible...a lovely piece of bush and nice spot for a cache...just requires some TLC thanks for the cache
It’s been teeming with rain and everything is wet Nice church & grounds. We followed the previous logs about the coords being 18 m out + the hint for a fast find. We added a small waterproof log as the existing one was soaked and slimy. Initialled as
Final day (3) of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the West of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and then heading south getting some of the most northern caches in Auckland and then heading back to the airport for a flight back to Wellington. It rained on and off through the morning and some caches were done in pouring rain whilst others were in gaps in between. We signed the log as BIC for BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Next up was the MM series. Quite a few DNF's but could have been due to rain that we didn't find them. Luckily some of them were "inside" and so we had a reprive from the rain. Thanks for the puzzles and series..
Lovely church and cache in the forest was a good 18m out, but great spot...

09:49 Day 3 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Other team members had better cache sense than I did...
TFTC Grobyc for placing this cache, number 11983 for me.

Found it but your have to go into the bush about 15m you are looking bigger tree (looking for three that are in a row going back from the road)
We couldn't find this. We looked and looked, including 18m from the spot as per the previous entries.
After doing the LAB in Kamo its on the road to Dargaville. Lenny lead me way up a side road here?? Got that sorted and back to the main road to stop here. Hey I remember this place. We searched for ages. With the help of some old logs I finally tracked this one down. Cheers.. Yes 18m in woods about right.
Day 11, Sunday 30 January - Whangarie to Dargiville, and back. Then moved south to Puhoi Village. Toby had fun along Bayleys beach today. Roads stayed quiet till we got to wellsford then the traffic increased ten fold. We finally ran out of time, arriving in Puhoi Village in the dark, so stayed the night.
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Great find while killing time in L3. All on good condition. Like others said, 18m from GZ. Such lovely bush! TFTC.

Roadtrip time, day 7.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
I had spent last night at the campground in Waipu, and today was looking to head over to the west coast of Northland and then onto 90 Mile Beach. I didn't know it as I started my day, but by tonight I will only have gotten as far as Opononi after a very full days caching.
This should have been a quick park n grab for me today, but I was having problems making the Hint match anything at the posted co-ords. In the end I widened my search and found the cache about 18m away from the official GZ.
I encountered no issues with either the container or the log, which was swiftly signed before the whole lot was replaced exactly as found.
Thanks for setting up and maintaining this cache.

So glad to get this one today!
Was rushing past yesterday and couldn't stop.
Today I am more relaxed and was keen to go exploring in
this lovely peaceful clump of bush...near the recently retored Church.
Great job.
Thanks Grobyc for replacing this with a brand new container containing toys too; and even a pencil!
Such a good place for folk to stop and stretch their legs on a long car journey.

The elder Future Finder and I are making our way back home after visiting family in Northland. I have driven past/near this one on a few occasions, but, today was the day I stopped to make the find. A passing shower had eased off just before we parked up in the church grounds. The trees helped shelter me from what participation still remained. The hint was very helpful here and aided in a quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
Lovely to be able to find this cache and de-stress a bit after the Covid lock-down announcement. Thank you!
After a rather busy day with the little ones we headed back to the peace and quiet of Ngunguru, but first a find of Ed's nearest to home cache. After checking a few options the well-stocked cache was found. Will bring the tsunami that are the twins next time we visit. They will love the treasure I'm sure. T F T C Grobyc
After a weekend in Wellington and catching up with my UK based mother and her cruise trip to NZ, we made the most of being up here on the North Island and added an extra 6 days in Northland to the trip itinerary. We flew up to Auckland on Sunday afternoon and after a faff around with a hire car we took the scenic/dark route up the Helennsville highway to the North. Arrived late on Sunday night and straight to sleep. We had a week with son Ed and his 4 under 3 years old children. Fun time was had and some nice experiences.

I have driven passed this cache many, many times but haven't stopped cos the muggle wife grumbles but she wasn't with me today as I was in the area visiting rellies so I made the stop ..... only to DNF. This should've been a quick PnG but after searching all the available hint items and more, I came up short. Three strikes here CO, can you check it please?
Believe their may have been recent works done in the church yard and the cache maybe involved. CO may need to check.
During a break in a conference I was attending at Barge Park I took the opportunity to go for a short drive and seek out some caches. A quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Left Whangarei as the weather was "crap"(not so good). Heading for Baylys Beach where the weather looks much better. Picked this one up on the way.
Out for a tikitour around my old stomping ground today to look for a few caches. First on the list was this one at the church where my nephew was married 25 years ago. No wedding on today though.
Quick find with the good clues. Picked up TB to take on more adventures.

Feels like a long time since we have been home to enjoy exploring our own backyard, so off today to explore Kauri and around Lake Waro, but also a chance to collect some previous DNFs that have been updated. What an awesome afternoon of caching was had (although now to deal with the sunburn consequences). 22 caches in 3 hours of adventure, we even had to go for a swim to collect a cache, this was our last cache of the day. TB dropped
Nice quick one. Coming back from feeding family members pets thought I'd stop grab it.
Took mum to lunch at The Office in Mangatapere since I'm going to be away for a month. Quick detour soon had this cache in hand TFTC
I always want to do this one. Done on our way back from Dargaville.
Moist crystals fab idea. Never seen it in a cache.

We visited this cache during our trip through out New Zealand!
With our rental car, we explored the north island for 12 days.
NZ is a beautiful country and we really enjoyed our time here.
We hope to return one day and explore a little bit more!
Day 10 - Awanui to Auckland
Today we had a long drive back to Auckland, on the way we did a few stops, and visited some interesting locations.
In the afternoon we visited Auckland's downtown.
Thanks for the cache.

On the way to visit the mother in law. A quick stop at the place where we got married nearly six years ago. Hubby found while I was faffing about with my GC app. A very nice little spot and an easy find if you're new to the game.
A quick and easy find not too far from my Aunty and Uncles house. Am up from Auckland for the weekend and am hoping that this is the first of many Whangarei caches I get to find! All is well with the cache, however there is no trackable.
This weekends little adventure was in the company of HKCB (as we'd both been given leave passes by our respective partners) so off we set.
The primary goals this weekend were to collect as many of the earthcaches as time would allow, the two virtuals, and complete both the requirements for the S35 & S36 challenges. Mind you this did not stop us working to collect anything else that we could find as time allowed.
It was a great trip with the weather playing its part so that we saw a great variety of countryside between caches and far too little sleep.
THe result was 1600kms (over 48 hours), 189 caches (35 hours caching) & 4 hours sleep, not bad for a couple of beginners. THanks to all the CO's and those that maintain the caches for us to collect on our too brief tour of the north.
getting into the new day, but not sure how long we can go on before I need sleep as we headed out west for a few more caches and then a short period of sleep (very short)
Thanks for the placement

Out with the geohubby for a long drive to visit his dad. We stopped along the way to pick up some caches. The roads were very busy so we only managed to get 15 but all of them were found quite quickly. TFTC
