Day eighteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Traveling from Te Anau to Queenstown, with just a few caches done.Cloud over the mountains, but no rain today.At least there is still a building here, a lot of the ex-schools we have visited you wouldn't know there was anything there without a plaque.A bit of a stretch had the cache in hand.Thanks, Robmc.

Day 18 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we left Te Anau and travelled to Queenstown caching along the way. Not before collecting some delicious muffins at the Merchant Store.The weather is looking very promising and the scenery was pretty good too. Nice hide but someone has made it a pretty unpleasant area to search in at the moment.Thanks for contributing to our amazing holiday Ashsal

Tolik je te pr u ns doma taky. Tak jsem to zabalila a vydala se na cestu do hor k dalm jezerm. Kolem poledne se natst trochu vyasilo a teplota stoupla na 11, ale a do veera byly pehky stdan ovem sluncem. Dokonila jsem cestu po Southern Scenic Route u msta Queenstown a pokraovala dl po Alpine Scenic Route, super silnic plnou zatek. Hory jsou vude kolem a vysok, nkde le na vrcholu i snh. A jezera jsou pln filmov. Zelen i modr, obrovsk a vlastn bez civilizace. Mstn obce jsou jen obydlen kiovatky na cest a v jedn takov byla keka v ikonickm hotelu Cardrone s hospodou. Hned bych tu zstala. Skvl atmosfra, vude hoely krby, lid se povalovali v sedakch a pili vno. Jen jdelnek m zase zklamal - burgry, tacos, fish and chips a podobn. Od takovho podniku bych tedy ekala fakt vc, teba ryby z tch jezer nebo zvinu z okolnch kopc nebo aspo peen jehn, kdy jsou tu ty ovce vude. To prost nechpu. Zajmav je, e na Zland pili osadnci z cel Evropy, ale sv kulinsk zvyky nechali doma. Odpoledne se u daly lovit i keky, tak jsem obas zastavila na vyhldce i u njak zajmavosti a v podveer dojela do Lake Hawea, co je nzev krsnho jezera a taky pr dom okolo. J mm velkou chatu v lesku u jezera, kterou na tu jednu noc ani moc nevyuiju. Dalo by se tu pr dn pobt. Vait se mi nechtlo, zajela jsem si k tm pr domm do nejlepho mstnho hotelu s jedinou restaurac. Vbr opt stejn, tak dolo na steak. Byl vborn, ale dala bych krlovstv za hovz vvar s nudlemi, flk toho vaenho hovzho z polvky s msou duenho pentu a hlavn s vaenmi bramborami ! Nebo za panlskho ptka s r i rotnky. Vaen brambory tu vbec nevedou, pouze hranolky nebo smaen brambory. Ani lososa, kterch jsou tu pln jezera, nemli. U mm toho jednotvrnho jdla dost. A to se snam si jdelnek oivit vlastn ppravou. Na vt vaen ale nemm as. Taky jsem se dnes nachladila a tak piju u 4. aj a vezmu si Modafen a pjdu si lehnout.It was raining until lunch and it was very cold, only 9C. Then the weather improved slightly and I was able to find some caches along the way. Today I continued along the Southern Scenic Route from Te Anau to Queenstown and then the Alpine Scenic Route to Lake Hawea. The roads were really scenic and I enjoyed the ride. Today steffixx and me spent another wonderful day here in NZ and we drove from Te Anau to Queenstown.We stopped here and spend a little time searching for this cache. In the end, we found it and it wasn't that hard . We were able to write our names into the dry logbook and the cache is now waiting in its hiding place for the next geocacher to search for it. This day:Shortly before 6am I left the motorhome in Lumsden to set off on an epic mountainbike adventure. First from Lumsden to Garston along the Around the Mountains trail. The up the mountain to do the Welcome Rock single trail experience. Then all the way down again to complete the Around the Mountains trail to Kingston where I arrived shortly after 4pm. Wow, what a day it was! Many kilometers, great mountain views and of course I stopped for some caches along the way.This cache:Thanks for showing me this historical place. Wonder what it looks like inside. Did not understand the hint but quickly found the cache nonetheless, tftc!

I came up here to find a puzzle final only to discover I couldn't reach it except by bike or a long walk - never mind I made this find instead. Very straightforward.

Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!

We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.
Our third stop after Los Angeles and Hawaii is New Zealand.

This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we were searching for the Traditional **School's Out (Southland)**.

Thank to the Hints and the good coordinates the little box was found quickly!
After signing the logbook there is a new smile on our geocaching map!

At least we would like to take this opportunity to thank **Ashsal** for creating and maintaining this Traditional.

Today I drove from Te Anau to Kingston. To shorten the drive a bit (or to delay hours) I took the opportunity to pick up some caches. Thank you.

Kiwicampnut and I finally managed to coordinate ourselves having been over to the island we have finished my PWGT5 caches and making good progress on hers while finding others along the way.
A revisit. Was not longer hidden in plain sight as it was when I originally found it, but all in good condition.

Ruru-NZ and I are or have been on Stewart Island doing the Geotour caches as a priority but any others found are a bonus for me.

Its been a long time in the planning but finally the week long trip to the South Island to complete the Routeburn Track is here. Day #1 we have landed and are on the way to Te Anau.

As we drove up another car left the exact spot so we wondered if they were cachers but the log was not signed with todays date so guess not. Quick find, signed log and we were on our way again.

The plan has been a in the cards for a while. I failed to complete the Routeburn track due to poort weather and wanted to finish it.
5 years on, I invited Keylev to come along as I was sure there was some caching to be done. a year on and here we are.

Nosynel and I are having a caching trip now after our taxi service for Routeburn drop off and collect became unnecessary due to one of the trampers becoming ill and them leaving the track.
Nice quick find on our way to Kingston. Café closed today.

It took a while to find.
I found this cache during a Mum Taxi service.

Unfortunately they had to abandon their trip an a few hours into the walk due to sickness.
Two of my children are walking the Routeburne. So I offered my services for drop off at the Glenorchy end and am picking them up at the TeAnau end. I invited Jude_E along for company, so we'll be taking a few detours along the way.

We stopped at the cafe for a milkshake as I was getting dehydrated as it is such a hot day. We found the cache quickly.

I'm driving logistics support for a bunch of crazies on a 4 day cycle tour (average 110km/day, no e-bikes!), which gives me time for a few geocaches.

We detoured slightly from the railway to find this. The hint is related to the hide container, not the location - our GZ was by the stone pillar, you need to be a few metres left along the wooden fence. It's nice to see this building still being used by the community.
