This cache:Would never have found it without the hint but this made it easy, tftc!Today:Great hike from Springwood to Blaxland through the lower Blue Mountains. Typical nature of the area: full of life (really loud crickets) and many beautiful rock formations! I loved the climb up to Lost World and the views there!
Sunday funday! We got up early and headed to Jordon Springs for breakfast. It was quite nice and one of the yummiest mochas I have had in a while. After that we met up with our friends (fitzy_1965, minniek, Joolay, contesta, Flintstones, Aquilus1 and sacada) to cache up to Katoomba and back. The day had its good points and bad:Good - great company, fabulous views, amazing places, finding caches and fantastic food. Bad - too many muggles, AL and Geocaching App meltdown. So frustrating! We found a handful of caches and got back to Penrith for an awesome dinner at Ros Niyom which was so delicious and the staff amazingly attentive. Not hard though, as we were the only ones there - everyone else was probably watching the NRL Penrith v Storm (Penrith won). We did a few caches on the way home after dinner before the roads got busy with very happy residents. This cache: Nice to have a couple of other caches in the area, so this was a quick find while here. Nice spot. Tftc!!!
Lots of caches to find here, a nice trad to enjoy while here. A caching weekend in the Penrith area with a group of canberra cachers. Prior puzzle solving had a wealth of caches, more than we could do but made for full days and plenty of choice. Log signed with team name CPI24. (Canberra Penrith Invasion 2024) The group is MinnieK, Fitzy_65, joolay, Contesta, Flintstones, sacada, Gliss, Nibletricecakes, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and myself.Weather was nice and warm and company great. A challenging weekend at times with my ongoing health issues but managed best I could. Lots of events, morning catch ups to focus our day with dinners to relax at the end. Good to meet local cachers at them too.The Saturday was a local busy day, puzzles and others as we passed. Sunday was the pretty day up in the blue mountains with scenery and short walks. Monday was another local day of groups and some independent caching to round out the weekend. Thanks for your cache!
Find # 128586/10/2024 Caching adventures continue in Day 2 of the long weekend. Ticking off some of the Katoomba caches as well as many on the solved ones around Penrith as we can. Fabulous weather for caching, and great to get some warmth too! this is one such cache, found and signed CPI24! for Canberra Penrith Invaders - consisting of Joolay, Tankengine, dty73, Youban, Sacada, Flintstones, minniek, Aquillis, and Fitzy65. All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks WaywardWoman for Corridor of Oaks
A cache trip to Penrith and the Blue Mountains with a large group from Canberra, signing with CPI24. A number of caches planned and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful spring weather day. This cache: A quick find along the way. A nice spot for a cache. Thank you WaywardWoman for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Travelling with the Canberra Penrith invasion group. Quick find in this great little park. Kutgw
Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC. The second day of caching Penrith with the Canberra mob (CPI24). Today was a trip to Katoomba in the blue mountains finding many old and interesting caches.Lots of great treks with fantastic views.Final dinner was not at the Panthers club with the grand final on tonight.Found with CPI24
#21023 - 10:52:00 AM; After a couple of nights in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney for a couple of days of R&R, we are now headed for Sydney for the last night of our trip. After breakfast in Leura, we set off towards Faulconbridge for a Postcard Day Event as we passed through. I managed to collect a couple of caches along the corridor before the start of the event, including this one. All in good order and replaced as found once I signed/stamped the log. TFTC WaywardWoman
Day 22 of our roadtrip in Australia. Today we're leaving Sydney for the Blue Mountains, unfortunately with a rather bad weather forecast. Let's see how that turns out. On the way we plan two stops for the year 2000 caches in the area. Found in the drizzle while doing the nearby virtual. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Found with Portstevo on our way home from the Blue Mountains, what an adventurous weekend we've had! Stopped here for lunch and the close by caches, nice shady spot to eat, tftc
Tftc. Stopped for a spot of lunch and quickly grabbed this cache while we were here. Found with red_ear_slider
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Wet logbook so we photo it.

Then depending on the time that we will have left at each of our stages, all caches allowing usto visit a nice new place. We only visited a tiny part of this beautiful country which makes us want to come back although it is not next door and I would also remember the warm welcome of Australians and their kindness.I sincerely thank all the poseurs without whom the exploration of all theseplaces known or much more discreet would not have been possible. 6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.Today, we visit Blue Montain.Guided by the GCs, we hiked in its beautiful mountains. Very beautiful landscape. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Slowly indoctrinating my spouse into an avid geocacher, with fun finds like this one - on a lazy Sunday afternoon
Today we visited The Blue Mountains. We admired the fantastic views and several waterfalls. Thank you for the cache.
Quickly found. I had some trouble with my pen but managed to scribble my G! on the log. TFTC.
Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 12: TripCache #49: Today we started early so that we could pick up the Muggle family members from the airport as they had come to join us for the weekend. We took a drive to the ANZAC memorial walk at North Head so that they could see our grandfather's stone and the beautiful scenery from this side of the Harbour. We then took the girls to lunch at 'Little Evie' before driving them to their hotel and went back to our own to rest, change and get ready for the night's adventures. We met again along the harbour for dinner, where GeoHubby and I enjoyed a wander through the outside of the Maritime Museum and the views from local lookouts along the way. After dinner, GeoHubby spent some time at the Star Casino (which is SO big inside - and all shiny and sparkly!) while us three ladies went to see Wicked - which was phenomenal as always! While I appreciated the opportunity to drive over the Sydney Harbour Bridge - I have to say that I still detest Sydney traffic and the layout of the city - after 20 minutes you get no where because the city snakes in and out and doesn't go anywhere - I still claim Melbourne has a much better layout for driving around in.This was an amazing find in terms of location. As someone who absolutely loves history, I really enjoyed wandering this area and taking it all in - and taking photos with people that I have a family connection to. Unfortunately when I went to grab the cache my superb lack of spatial awareness meant that I was attacked by a tree branch - no lasting damage so all good. But, the cache is in better condition than I, it was found easily, log signed and replaced. Thanks so much for bringing me here.
On a road trip holiday with CaptainKirky. On this part of the trip we are heading from Katoomba to North Ryde. As this area has history we decided to stop by and grab some caches in the area, including this one.
It was a great hiding place! We could not write our names because there was no space to write them. We liked how it was rolled up in a scroll. Our favourite yet!
3rd find with the kidlets, back to our original ftf after a few years!

Descending the mountain provides multiple places to stop, so many interesting locations to explore but here had a multi, virtual, 3 traditionals and a letterbox to help complete the months challenge souvenir and so took the prize for a 20 min walk involving history , nature , and the wonderul SES
An amazing place we would never have known about without studying the geocaching map. A fascinating slice of history. What forward planning from the fellow who had the idea.
Cache found in good condition. Thanks WaywardWoman for placing and maintaining, and for the hint!

We are almost there! The area has been turfed and should be open in about two weeks. I will enable it as soon as the flags are off.
I checked on this again today. Council still seems to have quite a bit to do, though my latest update said likely due to finish the end of June. Looks unlikely at this stage. Will keep it updated. The whole area of the park is inaccessible, so this is not the only cache affected.
The council is still doing upgrading. Will check in again soon to see how it is going.
The work at the park is still ongoing atm, so as such, this will be offline for a while yet- I am told the end of May by council.
Council suggests that all the work should be completed by late May, so at least a few months till I will enable this again.
There is a lot of construction in the park at the moment, so I am disabling this until it’s finished. Hopefully it will look good when they finish.
Working in the lower mountains today and needing to fill a calendar date. Interesting park hope this keeps up the reason to have it. Log is full just managed to sign it. TFTC
Three days in the Blue Mountains. First stop at the Glenbrook visitors centre for the virtual and some useful information.
Another stop at the Corridor of Oaks - Mrs Bear loves virtuals, yet Mr Bear likes traditionals with real cache containers better - and a solved mystery in Woodford.
When we reached Wentworth Falls, it was time to eat a pie... or two. Afterwards we enjoyed the views at Lincoln's Rock - no selfie on the rock ledge for us, but an amazing cache with a view.
Spent the afternoon strolling through the magnificent Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath with plenty of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and even Waratahs in bloom.
At last we went to Govetts Leap Lookout which was partially closed, nevertheless the view was well worth the walk from the carpark at the visitors centre.
Nice one. TFTC WaywardWoman

This one was a struggle I looked in the right tree but the wrong branch ended up finding it later
Meme28 and I C Nothing are heading off on another geocaching adventure leaving the West and heading into Sydney to explore unfound territory.
Our aim is to find some older caches we wouldn’t be able to find in WA and then anything else that takes our fancy. Today we found your cache and happy to report it was in good condition.

We are on another short (four day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Planning to collect some of the solved GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and Wallacia, then visiting the Blue Mountains from Springwood to Wentworth Falls (over two days) for numerous Adventure Labs and other targeted caches.
Today (day 3) we completed two Adventure Labs that had their various stages scattered around Springwood and Winmalee, and also collected numerous caches of various types (Traditional, Multi, Mystery/Puzzle, and Virtual) that we passed along the way. Also visited an old "2 Dogs" Traditional cache from 2001 that we needed for an "old school" challenge cache. This was our 29th find of the day (day 3), and 75th find of the holiday.
Next stop was here at the Corridor of Oaks, which is obviously a very popular spot for placing caches, with no less than four caches of various types (Traditional, Multi, Virtual, and an Adventure Lab stage) located here.
After grabbing the Adventure Lab stage we next turned our attention to this Traditional cache and, while I was busy looking around at the wrong level, the family's chief puzzle solver was making the find at the correct level. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
We will now go for a stroll down through the Corridor of Oaks and take a "foot photo" for the Virtual cache. TFTC WaywardWoman.

TFTC. A sneaky hide. I was there yesterday and found it in and out of sprinkling rain. I’m visiting from the Hunter Valley.
