Some solving was done last night and this morning in anticipation of doing this loop on a particularly rainy Sunday before mothers day. Thankyou for placing and maintaining the cache and allowing me to discover a new area and some beautiful countryside.TFTCGeneric overly-detailed summation of the day:Weather report: cool, overcast and a fair amount of rain for all of our caching today.Caching conditions: minimal muggle activity, GPS satellites talking nicely to my phoneSnack situation: optimal: a piece of carrot cake from O'Connell cafe to get me by until dinner. Also a good street library here, picked up Pompeii by Thomas Harris to have a read of.Public toilet status: bush loo today.Munzee distractions: none today, kinda forgot about them.Weirdos encountered: just the caching company.Out Caching with: Irondale and Malfromthefarm

Catching up with late logs.We are traveling with Geoturtle 37, Papi4506 & The Drovers to do an assault on Bathurst and surrounds. We solved all the puzzles we could before we left home which was also an enjoyable part of this journey. We had a great time today doing a southerly loop picking up any caches that came up on the map finding all types of cache sizes and hides but unfortunately we have got behind in our logging and are trying to catch up now.We can no longer remember the caches individually so we apologize for the generic log, it's certainly not meant to take anything away from our experience, it's just the old minds just ain't what they used to be.This cache made us smile and we have always said if it makes you smile it is worth a favourite point so we are leaving one behind. We signed the logs as The Mob.Many thanks for adding this piece to the game board for our enjoyment.

Day 2 of our Bathurst trip with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.Today we did a lot of country driving, through nearby towns. The scenery was lovely with the trees turning a multitude of different colours for winter. All puzzles were solved before the trip. This is one of the caches we stopped to find along the way.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Code1, for us and others to find.

Nice views here. Love this road. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.

Today we will be continuing our travels on some more of "the roads less travelled" to collect some more of the TRLT cache series, and also any other caches we come across along the way, including numerous previously solved puzzle/mystery caches. Yesterday we travelled roads to the South of Oberon, and today we will be travelling North towards O'Connell, Tarana, and Meadow Flat. This was our 8th find of the day (day 7), and 137th find of the holiday.

The cache was an easy find, but the container is trashed with large holes in it. There was no log inside, just the geo stash note, so we added a new log sheet in a plastic bag. Stamped the new log sheet and then placed what's left of the cache container back where we had found it. TFTC Code1.

With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild.

We hit the road early and resisted the urge to stop along way. We decided to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area. We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure.
Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.

Thanks for the hide Code1 and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.

Nice simple find here thankfully Big Grin

Thanks for the hide Code1 Big Grin And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others Big Grin

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.

Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.

Cheers

27-Nov-16
Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.

Day 2 of our caching trip and we were out on the roads again. We headed to Oberon and some of the back roads around Bathurst before getting a few more caches in Bathurst. By days end we’d put a good dint in our "beyond the Great Divide" so decided to head for home. Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.

TFTC Wink

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.

The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.

Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

It is interesting to follow so much of the road that Cox built. This cache was no problem to find and all was done as needed to be. The cache was then replaced as it had been found. Thank you to Code1 for placing this cache along a quiet road.

Wilbert67 and us have been planning an over night trip to Bathurst and pre solved many puzzles in preparation, we also picked up quite a few others along the way. We left early in the morning and we were hoping for better weather in light of all the rain we been having and good weather we had. We had an enjoyable day with only 4 DNF out of approximately 43. A big thanks to all the CO for making our trip enjoyable. TFTC.

On A weekender with J+J.AU, Goulburn, Oberon, Bathurst, Lithgow and back is our goal. Solved lots of puzzles as a preparation for this trip and happy to collect in on a lot of them. More eyes makes easier caching. Started with some fog and cold on Saturday morning, but the weather got better and better. Thanks for putting out all the caches!

This cache was on our list of caches to find for the weekend but by the time we got to it night had fallen. We parked near the entrance to the nearby property and walked back to the cache to make an easy find. The gates of the property had been lit for Christmas. We thought they should leave them lit throughout the year. We figured the lights would make it easier for visitors to find the entrance, and give Christmas drunks some help in avoiding a collision. Thanks

Thanks Code1, for a nice easy cache-of-the-day find, even of I did have to go 30.9 km to get to it Wink
A beautiful section of road and well worth the views of Evans crow. That you don't often get to see from this side. Took a Aussie Native brooch and left something for the little chick to surf on...

From here, you get a great view of Evans crown, but not quite as sketched in his notes of 1813!

Greeted by a wall of very long thick grass we had to just use the force to locate and retrieve this one. There did not appear to be any ants here this time but the container was a bit sad around the seal area so we fixed that up and all is well again. All the contents and log book were in good order.
Thanks for the cache.

The animal theme is wearing thin - first the spiders, then the cows and then the little ants. This cache is steadily being built into an ants nest and this time they are BIG ants. They were very angry and not at all inclined to be rounded up. We signed the log but have no idea what's in the cache - apart from ants. Nice views - thanks.
