What a place indeed! Found the final, poured the water out and tried to sign the logbook. Finally managed. Thanks for showing the places!
Thank you for the multi and showing these places!PS the logsheets were all completely wet, so we placed a new sheet in the small bag.
Journey to Wainuiomata today as my partner is doing a Xterra 16k marathon through the regional park. While I wait in the pouring rain, at least I can find a cache. Sadly most of the caches in this area are on the marathon path. Bingo heres one I can find today - peaceful spot, nice multi, and loved the final area. Container was filled with water. So water drained, waterproof paper was a great idea in this spot, so all signed. Thanks for the cache.
Cache was in perfect condition, container and log were dry. However I replaced the cache anyway. As there hasn't been anything much in the way or rain or atmospheric moisture lately I will need to do another check on things once we get more rain, dew etc.
Was hoping to get there yesterday but it didn't work out.Hoping to attend it to it next week subject to transport and weather issues.
If I understand correctly that the finder replaced the log many thanks. Not enabling yet as I want to still want to check on the moisture issue. If a cache is disabled I believe it should not be logged but I will make an exception in this case.
After coming in pretty late yesterday evening with the ferry from Picton, we decided to go to the old "Kevin Anderson" geocache today. On our way to and from the Cache, we visited some Others nearby and had a nice little Trip. Thanks to our Rental car, we were quite flexible. Having found one of the oldest active caches in the world, was something special. We enjoyed also the way through the area a lot!The Garden of remembrance was also a special place and a surprise. A Brand New logbook was awaiting its first Log. I happily completed the Task at Hand. Afterwards we had still enough time for a stroll through the City. With a hot chocolate as a reward, we took went to the "beehieve" and the waterfront. All in all it was a beautiful day, with great stops, beautiful views and lots to see. Thank you to all Cache owners for the Caches and their maintenance. Thank you for the Caches and greetings from Germanyaussi96
Before we went to the first cache in New Zealand, we first visited this cache here. Collected the data and later searched for and found the can. The Knuffelbren from Nuremberg say thank you for the cache.
This was a nice quick multi that I did on my way out of gc46 on the way back to the city.
It was really easy to get here by public transport. I took a train from central to Waterloo station, then got a wainuiomata bus to the very last stop, which is just down the road from this gz. Super easy.
The final took me somewhere i definitely wouldn't have ever discovered without geocaching to guide me.

Cache had disappeared altogether.
Replaced.
Need to bring your own writing implement, anyone not signing the physical log will have their online log deleted. (I will add a pen or pencil next time I get a chance to visit.)

After finishing work earlier this afternoon, a quick look on the traffic layer of Google Maps showed a long delay heading back into town. I decided I'd stay out in this area while it died down, and in the meantime, have a go at finding a few local caches. This cache was my 99th find!
I arrived at the nearby carpark on this lovely sunny afternoon, grabbed my pen and GPS, and set out for this cache. I have never been to this area before and I was really quite impressed by how well-kept these parks and gardens are. I soon arrived at the first waypoint. It didn't take me too long to jot down the answers to the questions and I soon had the coordinates for WP2 in hand. I arrived at WP2 after a brief pleasant stroll and from there, it didn't take me much longer to locate the final cache.
I opened the container and quickly discovered that the '...allegedly waterproof 380ml Sistema.' isn't very waterproof. Unfortunately there was a lot of water in the container and the logbook was drenched. I managed to find an area to sign my name but it was very difficult to write on. I would highly recommend the logbook be replaced. I emptied the water that I could from the container before continuing on my way.
Thanks for placing this cache here in this very beautiful area.

Found on the pilgrimage to GC46 - this was a very neat multi with an interesting final that we would have missed otherwise - thank you!
A very interesting place, I always wonder what happen to the people I see in these memorial plaques. Thank you for the cache.
In Wainui with family for a club meeting and had time to look for a few caches afterwards. Had a nice stroll to the Garden of Remembrance from where we were parked, some very large trees in some of the gardens along our route, wouldn't want those coming down in an earthquake or storm! We were surprised to see a kiwi road sign along the way. The garden was very peaceful and there was a beautiful smell of daphne at WP1. Multi caches aren't usually my favourite type of cache but I thought this multi was very well set out - short and sweet, in an interesting location and a nice quick find at the end. We were the first finders of the cache since it was replaced last year - not sure if the "allegedly waterproof container" is 100% waterproof as the logbook is slightly damp (despite being in a sealed plastic bag) but it was still signable so no more maintenance needed at the moment. Adding a FP. TFTC
Replaced log and container which is an allegedly waterproof 380ml Sistema.
Grabbed the TB.
Grabbed the TB.
Was hoping to get to this on a maintenance run in Wainui but running out of time so will try and get to it within a week or so.
Not enabling this yet following the level change as I need to sort out the reported soggy log.
As we are at Level 4 no logs will be accepted. (I will check on the TB in the cache as soon as we get the all clear to resume caching.)
The Great Geocaching Tour of New Zealand Cemetaries rolls on! This one is very historic. All good in cache, although log a bit soggy. Dropped off a TB. Tftc!
Pro forma maintenance log to get rid of the Needs Maintenance attribute, the NM log related to the need for a new log which was replaced in 2019!- I overlooked the need to do an Owner Maintenance log at the time to clear the flag.
We are at Level 1 as from 9 June.
Social distancing is no longer required but use of hand sanitiser is still a good idea.

Quick little multi once we were back in cell service range. Found with c_storm.
Came over to see whanau from wairarapa now that we can burst our bubble. Nice place for a walk with the kids. Tftc.
Caching can resume here provided you observe Level 2 protocol.
This includes using hand sanitiser before and after handling the cache and social distancing from anyone around who is not part of your "bubble" (and visitors to the Garden are frequent and may include the elderly who are vulnerable.)
Lives including yours and those of others you care about may depend on it and some of what you see at WP2 is a sad commentary on what can happen when things turn out bad.

Disabled to the nationwide lockdown.
No logs will be accepted during the lockdown.
Hoping that there won't be a need for more memorials here as a result of the virus so let's do as we have been told so we can live and cache in the future!

#1117. I really wanted to find at least one multi cache on the leap day and this was the one! I did it with a friend and we didn't have any problems other than the rain.
Thanks very much for the cache!
Thanks very much for the cache!
What a beautiful garden of remembrance- we soon found the info we needed to calculate the coordinates for WP2. A short stroll brought us to this hidden place and we soon worked out where the cache would be. TFTC
Found with aeshna_uk on our way to GC46.
Having parked up nearby, we stopped by the garden and took a brief walk around to collect the data for a quick calculation and find. TFTC!

Visited on my Christmas holiday trip to Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Korea. A quick log now to get the correct TB/GC mileage, details later. TFTC!
Another place I've never been to esp WP2 - who knew! Thanks for bringing me here. A lovely spot - (watch out for mozzies!). Good luck with the new container, seal at the top looks good. TFTC
Thanks CO for keeping this cache alive and such a nice location. Multi was very straightforward and soon had the cache and a fav point from us.
# 238 Haha Mum tried to do the GSAK thing and stuffed it up! This is my actual bulk uploaded log! I would have found this one with my mum Gr33nslime! Im sure I had fun, i especially like finding toys. I hope to have more finds than weeks alive! Thanks to my mums obsession for geocaching... Cheers for the cache.
# 1352 I was in the area and thought I would give this multi a go - particularly to give the DangerBOY a bit of a run around, and because i dont mind the occasional learning session of something random. We both had a lot of fun just walking around the garden and looking at all the pretty things. So many butterflies, birds, whirligigs and other things to admire. The second stage was lovely too and you can just feel the history in the place near the final. Cache was found in a subtle location behind something probably quite historical itself in its time. Thanks robnzh for replacing the log book and keeping this one going... First to sign new log book,... yay.
Cache and log replaced.
Trying a new type of container that is supposed to be less prone to water ingress.
Please ensure you cover the cache well as being a little larger than the original it will be more obvious if not covered properly.

I won't disable this because of the condition of the log sheet as I should be able to do maintenance very soon. I will accept any online logs on other proof of find in the meantime.
[#4359] The date of December 22nd was on my mind for quite some time as it would be the day on which I would visit GC46 and complete my Jasmer challenge after finding it. So today we took off to Wainuiomata to walk in the park. We first visited the Garden of Remembrance where each plaque was gifted with a small present, very thougtful. I had never seen this before. The cache could be found without issues, but the logsheets were very wet and need maintenance/replacing. Thanks for taking us to this nice place.

I discovered that the Garden of Remembrance is having a makeover and the workers had some of their tools sitting at WP1.
I suggest not doing this cache during the working week until the work is finished which may be some time.
Am hoping that they won't be working over the long weekend impeding our WENZ visitors from attempting the cache. Unfortunately owing to other commitments I can't check on Saturday so will leave the cache enabled in the hope that there won't be a problem.
The other waypoint and final should not be affected.

#6097. I have been away in the field for a while but back now and needed to do some maintenance of caches before the Mega starts on Friday. I noticed this multi when I was doing the nearby Mt McKerrow walk earlier in the year. But didn't have time to stop on that occasion. Today I decided to check it out. Didn't take long to gather the necessary information at the nicely positioned memorial garden. Then headed off to WP2. Yes another hidden gem revealed by geocaching. Didn't have a compass on me but guessed it was hidden in one of two nearby objects. The hint narrowed it down even further. Nice quick find. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here robnzh.
When I looked out the window this morning I thought this wasn't boding well for day two of my attempt at a 50-day streak, but I persevered and headed out for my mission over the hill. I parked up nearby and while waiting for my handheld GPS to lock on I went for a wander, eventually reaching WP1. Took in the information and quickly calculated the next waypoint. Headed on over to WP2 and projected for the final to make sure I knew which object to head for. Soon found the cache tucked away in there, and signed and replaced. A peaceful little area. TFTC
Very well kept Garden of Remembrance and interesting GZ. A quick find with rain threatening but not eventuating. TFTC
Found this dodging between showers, the day after Gita! All in place and thanks for the new log MM. TFTC
Thanks Mermaid Man.
Should be able to get there reasonably soon, might need a checkup after Gita has been through and maybe a change of container to reduce the chances of more moisture getting in.

I really enjoyed this little multi cache this afternoon - my last stop after a couple of hours walking the tracks. In particular, WP2 seemed a very interesting and atmospheric spot.
I had noticed that the cache was currently disabled - but only because the logbook was damp. My car was parked nearby so I jimmied together a temporary logbook in a small sealed bag, and I have removed the original logbook which was indeed completely soaked through.
The systema container seemed dry inside. The CO may wish to enable the cache if he isn't going to be able to visit for a while as I feel that my temporary setup should be OK for a while.
Thanks heaps for the cache. FP added.

I've been to this car park so many times I've lost count but I've never had the enthusiam to do this multi right next to it (not a fan of multis). The logs makes it sound relatively straightforward and, thankfully, it was. I'd stumbled upon WP2 accidently the other day when I was coming down a trail I hadn't been down before so I knew the way to get to it from WP1. Somehow I managed to search in the correct place first time without seeing the cache. So I wandered around a bit and later found it where I started!
As as been the case with several caches I've found today the log is a soggy pulp and unsignable. Always a let down after the success of a find. But thanks for the multi.

Like others, I suspect, we were in the vicinity to visit geocaching history in the form of New Zealand's oldest still active geocache, "Geocache by Kevin Anderson". It has to be said that my wife is not a massive fan of multis, which is not uncommon as we frequently make mistakes on the calculations or find a waypoint is missing. Still, this looked like a charming and historical multi so we took the short walk across the lawn from the trailhead for the track to the other geocaches we were looking for to have a go at this one.
The remembrance garden is lovely and perfectly maintained as one would expect. We found the spot to make the adjustment for WP2 and it was really very straightforward. If more multis were like this more people would do them. Off we went to WP2 and taking the advice on the description we had a fair idea of the correct route to the spot and definitely not a second of bush bashing required to get to the touching WP2. We brought our GPSr on this trip so were able to cast the waypoint very accurately and had the cache in no time at all.
Very well done multi, with good locations and hides. Thanks for placing and maintaining this geocache.

I'd just come back from the cache at the top of the Nikau track and had a little time so I tackled this short multi. Short indeed - one item to locate at WP1 and a two minute walk to WP2 for a quick find and finish.

Visiting New Zealand's oldest geocache, I had to figure out how to get here without a car. Public Transport brought me close to this multi, but at GZ there were people, so I gave it a miss. After coming back from a small cache tour, the coast was clear and I soon found the information needed. A short stroll and ... The area must have been cleared, everything looks clean, the grass is mown and a red cat just took off from its sunny place on one of the stumps. Very idyllic!
Thanks a lot robnzh for this nice little multi with a surprise and greetings from Switzerland

Day # 11 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today was a very important day in my current life as a NZ-guest-cacher :
Main goals:
1) Visit NZ's oldest cache [^] and
2) Collect 7 Kiwi-cache-types in one day
Both missions could be successfully accomplished . At the end of the busy day the daily record contained 23 finds of 7 distinct types and on top a wonderful [^] (unexpected) event . This added even one more icon to the list of cache-variety for today - so cool! [^]
This was a nice short multi-cache [^] . I enjoyed it a lot .
Again geocaching let me to a wonderful place that I would otherwise never had discovered .
Hey - Wellington area - you have cool caches and of course sympathetic cachers and owners [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Cheers from Germany

We had a little time to spare as we waited for the bus back, so we decided to have a go at this nice little multi. Numbers soon gathered and we were off on the short walk to GZ. Quick find thanks to the hint. SL and replaced has found before dashing back to catch the bus.
Found as part of our "2016 Pensioners' Road Trip"
Many thanks to robnzh for setting this cache and greetings from the Isle of Man.

I had the afternoon off work and my kids are on holiday. The weather was so nice we decided to go to Wainui Pool.
After three hours of swimming and playing we drove out here to have a look for this cache. When we arrived I discovered that all the pens had been removed from the car. Grrrr!
I went and found the cache, hoping that there would be a pen or pencil in the container. Sadly not. So I took the log book back to the car park and asked some random person who was walking their dog if they had a pen I could use. Yes.
The cache is in good condition. A little damp, but able to be written on.
Thank you

After visiting a few caches in the near Wainuiomata Recreation Area, i came back to to this very nice and peaceful place, since i had my car parked there. As i came near i took a look at this multicache and decided to give it a try. Station 1 was found quickly and brought some memories into mind, since i had a stroke myself 2 years and 7 months ago. Now everything is fine again for me, but see how far i've come, from a hospital at home in Germany to Wellington in New Zealand. So i went to waypoint 2 and instantly had an idea, where the final would be. Went there and was able to sign this caches log too.
Thank you for this nice short multi, a favorite point from me too...

At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.
Greetings from Germany – Luco235

Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.
Greetings from Germany – Luco235
Hideeho Thanks for the cache:) Greetings from the USA, I do not usually do multis as I am too impatient and don't like jumping through hops. But we were stuck here waiting for our driver to return so why not?
Lovely little garden, thanks robnzh. Another for my multi streak after being out here for GC46.
We made sure we had time to do this multi before we started our pilgrimage to Kevin Anderson's cache! It was a nice simple multi and would have been very quick if it were not for technology causing problems. But we got there in the end and enjoyed the final location! Thanks for the multi trackable picked up!
TFTC!
I am pretty wary of doing multis and mysteries in foreign countries as very often they are very related to something local and often meanings are lost in translation.
Having just taken a lovely walk from the bus stop close-by to NZ's oldest cache and doing one or two there abouts too I decided to try this one on my way back. What a pleasant surprise and straight forward multi! Thank you for that! I enjoyed the slight diversion off the path back to the bus stop and nice easy find. Dropped a TB too.
Cache is still in good condition. Thank you for showing me both the 2 WP's, interesting! FP awarded.

Trackables visiting.
Discovered that work is in progress on a further stage of the Garden of Remembrance so there is a construction area at the entrance to the garden and park. All stages of the cache are still available but you may have to take a bit of a roundabout route between WP1 and WP2.
Please take care as there may be construction vehicle movements in the area.

We had talked about this cache with the CO when he was in Dunedin for the Masters Games so,after our pilgrimage to Geocache by Kevin Anderson, we visited the Garden of Remembrance. Hmm, Mrs D remembers that name from growing up at Korokoro decades ago. And then, aha, what an interesting place to find! then, lunch under the trees. Looked up the internet just now and learnt more about the background of the final. Thank you for showing it to us robnzh.
TB visit.
Unfortunately I have had to delete the hint for anyone having difficulty with WP1 as the info near the spout is no longer there - the info at WP1 itself is still there so the clues are unaffected.

A very nicely set up multi, especially in spring. WP1 & WP2 quickly found and the final moments after that. TFTM
TFTC! This was my first ever cache and it took me a while to get the gist but it was a lot of fun and I was overjoyed when i finally found it!
I had no idea any of this was here. A well constructed quick Multi. Cache is in good condition. TFTC.
#11 Got the coordinates a few weeks ago but didn't have a gps with me. I returned today and quickly found the cache. I was treated to a view of some majestic trees beautifully lit by the setting winter sun. TFTC
Arrived at WP1 to find the GPS was dead and the phones all barely had signal so wasn't sure we'd manage but luckily did. TFTC, very nice garden
TB visit, including a special TB in memory of a US cacher Steelygrey who passed away while caching.
Nice little multi. Although I used to live in Wainuiomata I have never been to this spot before. Tftc.
After visiting the honourable GC46 and doing some of the walks around we also enjoyed this very peaceful place and the ... final.
We simply lack the correct words to describe the final without spoiling. So we just say that we were surprised and we did like it. That's all and now we have to say goodbye to this place.
TFTC,

A reminder of the following:
'Non-spoiler photos of WP1 are welcome, but no photos of WP2 or the final in your log
please."
Please do not post any other spoilers describing the final in your log, this should be obvious but I have amended the description so it is absolutely clear.

While the area at WP1 was pretty enough, particularly the flowers and the outlook across the river, it was GZ that had Kjwx and I hopping with excitement. Nothing I love more than discovering a new 'hidden place'. Awesome! TFTC
Have long eyed this multi but never had time to visit whenever I was headed to neighbouring geo-star GC46.
Tonight's impromptu visit to Wainui with JardisLikeTardis proved an ideal opportunity - and the location certainly didn't disappoint.
Enjoyed both sections of the garden but would love to know more about the restored Sinclair Cemetery.
Well worth a favourite point - and the surprise star of our geo-outing.
