Found on a magnificent Autumn day. This area has been heavily worked over by mining in the past. The cache could do with some TLC. Thanks for the hunt billywillysillydilly.
The container is weather-damaged. Log book is still useable though it has endured some soakings. Looks like this has been muggled too.
Thanks Kaneira and all who found this cache over the last 4 years. Time to archive.
Another interesting drive in amongst the old gold mining areas, this is why we love country caches they take you to places that we would never see otherwise. Drove the Combo to within 30 metres of the cache which made for an easy find. I wish we had our lunch with us because this was a lovely spot to stop. Thanks fot the cache.

Headed out to check on the heroes series and managed to get a few others this being one of them. Enjoyed following the tracks to this bushland location.
Nice work thanks to billywillysillydilly.

Our 5th find on the way home from Wedderburn and once again an easy find as cache wasn't well covered so covered it more when we replaced it.

So started a weekend away that took in just over 100 caches, including 4 First to Finds, about 1000 days towards the Unloved Cache Challenge (GC3KWWQ) and some really fun adventures both solo and with new and old friends, topped off with a great well attended event cache at Wedderburn.. (with yummy food too) Thanks to all the various cache owners along the way and my apologies upfront for the copy / paste style logging of those 100 odd caches.. Some of the Caches hadn't been found for between 6months and 18months which added greatly to my 15years required for GC3KWWQ.. Thanks..
Many of the caches were a blur and thus there isn't too much I can add from a single cache log point of view, my apologies to the cache owners who each have put a lot of effort into their respective hides..
I stayed overnight in my swag not too far from these caches.. A nice nights sleep was had which left me good to go early the next morning..

I suspect last years fire gave the surrounds a bit of a hard time, but it did make the find a lot easier
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
GeoDaewoo on a roll today with all of the track work and puddles! Drove in to GZ and was pleased to see previous log of a Tiida having been there too SL TNLN TFTC
Nice spot for a cache, it's very secluded. It was a bit of a challenge figuring out where to drive and where to turn, just to get the car nearer to this cache. I came back here at night for a campsite, it's good for some privacy as opposed to the fully packed campsites nearby to Inglewood.
A challenging drive in for the Tiida but caution mixed with a little adventurous spirit normally locates a cache. Plenty of past activity here. TFTC
Decided to leg it to this one which made it so much worse!!! Stupid stupid stupid.. gps. round and round again. I think i Should have gone home at this point. Well I didn't.
Found under the cover of darkness with 'The Comrades'. Spot on co-ordinates made this one a lot easier as did having strong torches (you could easily turn an ankle if not careful especially at night). Still, it was pleasing to find this one neatly tucked away and all the better for its recent check-up. The 4 WD drive got us to within 20 meters, though it would seem a fine walk is offing along the old reservoir (in daylight) would be the trick too. Thank you again to 'billywillysillydilly' for the cache and its location. TNLN.
Cache container replaced and added a few swaps. The old container had a hole burnt into it, which allowed lizards, spiders, unicorns, dodo birds and a tasmanian tiger entry. All better now though.
Found this one today, hole burnt in the side. Guarding the cache is a nest of ants and a lizard, living inside the cache was; a huntsman and some critter has created a cocoon on the inside lid. Huntsman is gone cocoon stayed. Left blue glass ball, took geocoin SL. TFTC billywillysillydilly
Have sent an email to the owner re this one. The poor thing was in the middle of a burnoff (it was all still smouldering) and while it has survived very well it has a hole burnt in the side. Cache is still findable and loggable but we took the TB in case it rains. TFTC
We arrived at this cache as the sun was going down behind the hill. There was still plenty of time to find the cache and sign the log but with no time to have a look around the area we decided to camp the night and have look in the morning. With plenty of wood around we had a very enjoyable night and a nice early morning look around. We were in Western Australia doing our own detecting in the eighties with newly purchased metal detectors and again in the late eighties when the SD2000 detectors hit the scene and all old ground became workable again. Unfortunately we have never detected in Victoria, now we spend our money on different equipment and are just happy to search for geocaches because of places like this
Thanks once more billywillysillydilly for the cache

Found on a fantastic three days caching with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671) and Team Haveanez. The trip included attending the Pre Easter Event 2011 event. Had three of my kiddies with me including my older daughter Jacqueline, 6yo Jasmine and my 4yo boy James. The trip took us through a tour of the Victorian Goldfields and then back up to my place at Tocumwal. One of around 110 finds for the trip.
Liked this one because it has the same name as my daughter Jasmine...! Foudn pretty quick as per Quasar3671's log. TFTC.

Out caching this afternoon with Blacklegend as haveanez had just parted company with us. Had a toilet stop at the little parking area on the other side of the reservoir before heading on up the dirt tracks to GZ. The mozzies were out and about here so the kids stayed in the car and a quick find was made and the log signed. Thanks for the hide.
Found while in the area attending the Pre-Easter event near Bendigo over the weekend with my good mate Blacklegend (Marshy) and team Haveanez; and during a five day caching blitz with my two boys (Tyler and Cooper) which eventually took us through the Victorian Goldfields, up to the Murray River in Tocumwal and back down through Wangaratta.

Remnants of gold mining in this area and a bit of a collapse into a hole on the track in. Another pprass type drive-by. Exchanged pathtags.

6th find of the day, and 2766th total find at 13:13.
A nice easy find. The cache is guarded well by rather large spiders though.
Took: Nothing

Cache found and retrieved from it's hiding spot to find a scorpion in residence underneath the cache container, so back to the car for the camera and a few photos taken. Hopefully there will be one suitable to put up on the log page. Log written, no swaps made cache returned and scorpion still alive, so be careful when retrieving. TFTC
We found this cache 11:10am as the 8th of 21 on route from Melbourne to Renmark. An unexpected delight to find this little grove with peppercorn trees. Thanks from D, HA and A B-A.
After all the rain I left the car on the main track and walked the rest for an easy find. Everything is quite green and the birds seem to be benefiting. Thanks billy... and also I assume Jasmine.

Found by Mary & David at 1055. A nice little area of bushland with some open grassy spots. The houses don't seem to have been very big, but would have been better that a tent. Not so happy to see pampas grass growing nearby. Surely the council or landcare people would want to get rid of it? Our thanks once more to billywillysillydilly.
I've been caching in the Inglewood area for over 4 years now and most caches here not surprisingly have a mining feel about them.
I was able to drive to within 100m and from there hoofed it through the diggings to the cache.
Nicely hidden
Thanks

2nd for the day in the company of n.s.e.w.where?
Out for the day detecting but the roads in and around the area are too wet to get the cars in so we decided to to some of the caches around town. This turned out to be an interesting place with all the old footings of the small homes made by the miners in the day.

Our very first find. In the company of the old blokes. Made no swap. Thank you billywillysillydilly
Found in the company of our new geocaching friends, the team of David and Dierdre, kobione. This being their first cache and not being set up yet, we selected a nice out of the way cache and relinquished the GPSr and the task of navigation to them. No problems. Straight to it and we both signed the log and made a swap of Joan of Arc for a giant locust.
Thanks Billy for a nice walk, Kobione's two german shepherds loved it.

Found by Roma and Max.
This surrounding area was very popular with early gold miners and they have left much evidence of their dwellings, such as this one, scattered throughout the local bushland.
Another good sized clip lock container, full of goodies and well hidden.
Thank you again billywillsilldilly for this hide.
