Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Looked for ages too! Middle aged woman clambering all over, in and around the rocks was an interesting sight for the police boat at least.
Found a perfect spot for a cache, prepared with a huge amount of effort. But it was empty. Could it have fallen out of its hiding place? Or did I look at the wrong place?
We DNFed this one on a showery, cold, dark night back in August last year and decided today since it was a nice day for walking the waterfront to try and see if we couldn't have more luck. Parked up in the only empty spot near GZ among visitors heading to what looked to us to be an absurdly extravagant birthday party for a small child. Times have changed.
Once at GZ we resumed the search. Found an empty film canister that I will see about returning to the wild one day but eventually spotted the cache. No wonder we didn't find it - it is a tricky little number to spot. Like others we could not open the log to sign it as it has well and truly seized shut - will need replacing or a bath in some CRC. I see noone has logged a needs maintenance to advise the CO, so will do that.
Thanks for bringing us to this nice spot - saw a couple of helicopters take off too.

This geocacher reported that the container is damaged. Container has corroded and is no longer able to be opened.
Vistra and I had decided to kick off the Planetary pursue this morning and had some caches we were going to target, along with grabbing some of the local owls from the Big Hoot. Sunday morning meant that the parking for this one was more available, got to GZ and we wandered along the beautifully calm waters edge and quickly came to GZ. Tried to open with pliers but still no joy, have a photo of proof of find if the CO requires.
Walked on water with yorkshirekiwi83 to get to this cache and made a quick find of it at GZ. Noted previous logs about it being shut tight so we took some pliers with us, but unfortunately they didn't help... so couldn't access the log. Cool spot for a cache though, TFTC!
Passport11 and I made it out to GZ and had to manufacture a TOTT in order to extract the cache from it's hiding place. Unfortunately, like others, we were unable to open the cache. I recommend a couple pairs of pliers or better still, a new cache. Regards from San Francisco and TFTC!!
Found it took a little longer than I thought.
But it was obvious.
Couldn’t open it.

Lordy. Verge of giving up so sat down for a minute. Had one last quick look close by and found it. Tftc. Note - log book full. So can’t sign
Searched in wrong area for a bit then had a rethink and quickly found it. Could open container but log completely full so couldn’t sign.
Been meaning to come and find the caches around Parnell and along here, but it's always been too busy with muggles. So today was perfect, as the area was very quiet. We walked along to the end here and began our search. Of course while we were searching a large Police boat came back into base and a chartered helicopter came back to land. Neither of those deterred our search, and shortly after merlot58 located the sneakily hidden cache.
In the area with Aiden29 today so we decided we would try walking on water. We'd only just started searching when we had to stop and admire the view as the Deodar II came into base shortly afterwards followed by a helicopter landing nearby. Once they were all settled we resumed our search and shortly after I found the sneakily hidden cache.
Ebike tour #2. Easy to find but it took about 15 mins to get cachebox out of it's hide. TFTC
I was back in the area today, and had a chance to search for this. Yesterday, after performing the "Rescue" there were Muggles enjoying their "Cody's". Today, all clear. Took a short while, until I realized I was sitting right on top of it. Could not open the container, but did manage to fish out the supplemental log and signed that. TFTC
How did I not find this the first time? Now tbh, I had a gander at some old photos which mayyyyyy have helped . It's simply just right there where it'd make sense without being overly difficult. Nice sunset view too and at this hour there isn't anybody in the Marine rescue center or the docks.
Couldn't open the container bc it's rusted shut, and found and old log stuffed alongside it

Looks like it is not there anymore? We witnessed another two couples who did not find it neither
In the city while Mrs B and Tinytree went to a show, I had 3 hours to spare so decided to clear as many remaining caches as I could.
This one proved a bit of a challenge; had an idea what it might be and then when that proved wrong read the description a little more and had another idea that also turned out to be incorrect. Was wonder if I should give up and had thoughts of all the eyes in a neighbouring building on me when I finally managed to spot it after a 10-15 minute search. Signed the log just as the police were launching their boat so glad I wasn't being too suspicious at this time. This is indeed a tricky little hide and worth another FP. TFTC.

Enjoyed the walk along the breakwater (as it's not currently raining) but was unfortunately unable to locate this cache
Looked at the end of the hint item but couldn't find anything. Gps had us closer to waters edge over the rocks which we didn't fancy at night.
Two seagulls didnt like me walking out to this cache. They kept diving at me but gave up when I got to GZ. A quick search and the cache was spotted. Log is soaking wet.Tftc
This one was so close by so we had to go for it. Walked the small route leading to a dead end. Turned around a lot of stone and thought we had the container in between. Turned out to be an empty plastic bottle with nothing else inside. Searched more and spotted the nasty little thing.
Afterwards we turned around and tried to reach the end of the rainbow. Again now luck.

Had been down this way for a meeting so decided to have a wander around on this sunny morning. Sneaky little hide here, sat and watched the rescue helicopter take off before returning the cache, cheers
Needed a cache for my geo calendar. Was running out of quick and easy ones. This was one of the only ones near work. Luckily no one was around. Took a while to retrieve the cache. Wish I bought my tweezers. But a small key helped. Cache signed and back to work i went.
Up in Auckland for a SAR conference and this afternoon we were down at the Marine Rescue Centre before heading out on the water for the demonstration of a liferaft being dropped from a US Coastguard aircraft and then a winch up of a person out of the liferaft by the Auckland Westpac helicopter. It was incredible having the USCG aircraft pass directly overhead as it made its runs.
But before that all happened it was a stroll to the end of the breakwater to have a look for this cache. A quick poke about before spotting the cleverly hidden cache. After retrieving the cache and extracting the log it was the signing bit - opps no pen, photo taken to prove I had found the cache but then I spotted some colleagues and went and borrowed a pen from them. Log signed the cache was returned to where it was found. Many thanks for the cache.

Such stunning weather today, we thought we'd head this way to find a few caches and enjoy the sunshine. A few fisherman along the breakwater but no one around at GZ. A sneaky hide which took a few minutes to retrieve. A lovely place to sit and take in the view, TFTC!
Great hiding spot. Luckily the guys fishing down on the rocks took no notice of us. TFTC
I was out and about with the kids having a bike ride around the bays so stopped off for a quick grab. It took a few minutes of searching and it was eventually my muggle husband who spotted it TFTC!
Great hide took me about 5 mins but found it in the end lots of fun Number 2 YaY
Been meaning to do this for ages and the other two close by. Today was the day no problems, but takes a little effort to dislodge but not any difficulty that it should cause any issues. Lovely spot and some great photo ops for those from afar.

Spent 7-8 minutes looking for this one without success. Could well have been several metres from where we were searching, but we were kind of restricted by time. Another shot another day perhaps.
Had a good look for this earlier in the year, but came away empty-handed.
So I made it the target of my lunchtime run from the city today to try again - better luck this time. In my previous attempt, I had an incorrect preconceived idea of what the cache would look like. Thanks!

Had dropped the kids to spend some time with friends at Orakei Basin so thought I would take the opportunity to collect some local caches before picking them up.
After success at the local Rescue Me I decided to take a walk on water. It was really really windy out here!! Unfortunately I had no success today. Found lots of fishing wire, hooks, drinks containers but no cache.
I'll be back now I know where to head....

Hideeho that for the cache:) we have a day before our tour of New Zealand begins and we are out getting as many caches that time , energy and geo sense allow !Added a new log strip so the whiners have no excuse.
The places you get to see when exploring by a new location via the geo-guidebook... thanks for bringing me all the way down here, it was nice to see this side of the harbour, which I Think is alot more inviting that the other viaduct end. I enjoyed wandering along the breakwall to its end, where a quick find was made, although extraction took while longer. Log is still soaked through. Thanks for the cache and bringing me out here - I even got to see a helicopter take off
Beautiful spot at night. Thanks for bringing me here. Cache found bit took a bit to get it out of its hole. Log too wet to sign. TFTC
It's definitely still there, clue very helpful as is an extraction tott

We'd been here previous I think??? Found within a couple of minutes this time, although it was a bit stuck. We didn't have any spare logs this size, but managed to squeeze our names in, thanks kiwicouple
Wow it had been really pushed in. Managed to get it out but log is still full. Got to see a helicopter take off.

Out for a beautiful evening walk. we were not sure to try this one as fisher men were right at the GZ. but then we decided to sit and admire the view.. soon located the cache. retrieval was bit of a trouble, but luckily we had the right tool. tftc.

Fishermen trio right at the end of breakwater. Well, decided to go and check anyway. We sat down, admired the view and stealthily did some fishing of our own.
It is not a micro as cache page says. And it is close to impossible to get out with just your fingers, some kind of a tool is useful here.
Thanks for the cache!

Located yesterday, returned with appropriate tool today. Log book is full but wrote very small on a tiny blank space. TFTC!
Nice spot to watch the busy port. Logbook is more than full. Urgent replacement required.

I'd found this cache before but did not have the tools to extract it. I returned tonight, and with no muggles around had cache in hand. Log full but squeezed name in. TFTC.
Found it see email, but could not get it out so did not sign. Tried tweezers, wire and a small magnet!
I had no luck on this one but obviously someone else today found it. Maybe I'll get another chance next time I'm up in Auckland.
The cache was quickly found, retrieving it took a bit more work as it was stuck in it's hiding place. Tried to get it out with my tiny child sized fingers no joy, we tried a safety pin, no luck but third attempt with a piece of wire worked. Logbook is full but we managed to squeeze our initials onto it.
Found with ghanescha and lytteltonwitch. Getting it out was tricky. With a lot of fiddling, in the end a rusty piece of wire succeeded. Log is also full and we only managed to fit in initials. This needs CO attention. TFTC kiwicouple.
Find the box, but cant log it, because the part of the box with logbook not to go pull out
I'm not very good at these ones and with a police helicopter landing nearby, I was feeling too nervous. Oh well, nice spot!

Alas I didn't find it because I read the clue, the hint and the previous logs... Then when I started looking a muggle walked right up to GZ and started fishing...
How unlucky I am...
I shall return my cache... e)

Lovely but cool day to walk out and try to locate this cache. Lots of activity around us - helicopters taking off, jet boats whizzing by, container ships leaving port, you name it.... Anyway back to the cache. We were well and truly caught out, hook , line and sinker. Searched everywhere we thought possible when suddenly there it was ..... and there it wasn't. Thankfully the gods smiled on us and it landed in a "safe " area. It will only be a matter of time before some unfortunates luck expires. We have "rubber banded" it to try and preserve its current situation but could do with some attention. Some impromptu fishing was had by kiwiscot ( who abandoned the hunt ) with discarded fishing line, a stick and a huge imagination. Unsurprisingly we had better luck than she did. TFTC
Ha! thought it must obvious and after a couple of minutes it was!. A nice walk along the breakwater. Cache needs some more tape.
Had a couple of days in Auckland while Ms KR was in a conference, so what todo? CACHE! Found many parks never before visited.
Thanks for effort put your hides.

After reading some of the comments I knew I'd have an interesting challenge trying to find this one at 9:30 at night with only 15% phone battery left!! I to searched around and was sticking my hands into all sorts of places with no joy. Sat back and had a read of some more comments and with the revised coordinates S 36° 50.766 E 174° 47.342 I managed to find the cache just as my phone ran out of battery. Luckily there was enough moon light to sign the log and place it back in its hiding spot. TFTC
Great camo.Needs maintenance urgently. I almost lost it as it fell from its holder and if it fell between the rocks it would never be seen again. Future finders need to be very very careful when extracting and some sticky tape could make for a useful repair. TFTC
Haha love it! I came looking the other night but had to stop the hunt when some muggles turned up thinking it was a good spot for some romantic takeaways. Back past today and thought the high tide would at least give some search boundaries. After sitting to contemplate the view and the clue - success! TFTC Definitely needs some maintenance though.
Don't want to spoil anything so CO got an email with the details.
Be careful not to break/loose anything

After taking some last NZ pictures in the harbour we found this tricky one. I was still climbing around and trying to figure out the double(?) meaning of the hint when Tyrox. already called a "got it". tftc
Sadly we couldn't repair the cool container as we didn't have the right equipment with us.

Last cache for the day. And what a sneaky one. If I hadn't had found similar caches before, this could have taken us even longer than it already did. TFTC.
