Well, imagine driving all the way out here and you look at the obvious and theres no cache there. You start looking around and something strikes your eye as being a wee bit out of place in the paddock. Its the cache! How theRetrieve it from the paddock and put back where it belongs. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find here today cache is all goodOn a week long trip to Melbourne for work and to watch the AFL prelim at the MCG, I decided to drive over and make a bit if a caching trip out of it as well. Stopping to find the odd cache here and there along the way. Thanks for the cache
Found with Bogonghazy, sorceysal and Geo dog. Heading up to Mildura for the week. Thanks for placing the geocache
A week of caching and golf with bogonghazy and Littleboss 2 in and around Mildura and of course any smileys we can pick up on the way. Thanks tigersden for showing us this part of history in the Mallee
The third of four days cachign with Robmc. We had our planned caches, but often changed plans at the drop of a hat if something looked cool. Started off in Horsham, travelled north towards Birchip then west towards Kerang and then south to stop off at Pyramid Hill.TFTC!
Day three with Day on our LGA collection trip around Western Victoria.Today we started at Horsham, and traveled northeast and finished in Pyramid Hill. The weather was drier but still overcast all day.Another school, just by the railway line. Thanks, Robmc.
On the road to Mildura. Find #5.Not originally on our hitlist, it was an impromptu stop to claim this one. Glad we did! It doesn't look like this one gets much love.Cache is in fine condition. Interesting to learn about the fate of some rural public schools.
Managed to squeeze in another roadside geocache during our trip to Mildura. Thanks for placing this cache. Not many names on the log, but it seemed it had been there awhile.
A quick stop on our way to our next overnight stop at Woomelang. Thanks for bringing us to this site.
Quick find here on a trip back through my childhood..as noted cache has lost lid and plastic bag is gone but remarkably log signable tftc
Found this one - desperately needs maintenance - no lid on container - bag with log in has disintegrated - log very wet. Sorry had nothing to assist with maintenance in the car.

Travelling from St Arnaud today caching as we go. This was a good excuse to stretch the legs while we searched. Listened to the frogs in the huge puddle over the road while we signed the logbook, the logbook is very wet and the container's lid is missing but we didn't have a spare in the car. TFTC
Today we decided to pull up camp and move further south on our maiden voyage in our first ever caravan.
Have to be selective as we don't want to get too off road with the van in tow, but this was a quick and easy find on our way to Donald for a couple of nights.
We pulled over off the corner, and as happens in local communities, a concerned person slowed to see if we were ok.
Again the long winter grass and weeds made me feel a bit unsafe, but I took the long way around.
Cache has been wet, as lid is missing. Now dried out and log book writeable. Sorry, didn't have a smail enough zippy bag to replace, and greg has put all our mint tins in a cache we own.

Bogged in mud on dirt road near GZ. Rescued by 3 angels disguised as farmers. I'll look another day.
On the way from Sealake to Ararat today, stopping where I can with a van in tow. TFTC
Thanks grass very over grown be careful in the heat. Also muddy/ be careful driving in
Dropped the lid for this in the dark, that was fun refinding! A quick cache before heading into camp for the night.
A very quick find while on the way to Donald from Wycheproof. It is so hot and windy here.
Found the cache but the log book is mangled. I returned it to it’s location and sat the lid back on (the best I could do as it’s broken). TFTC
TFTC. With regional victorians able to travel we decided to take the opportunity to head to Mildura to attempt the PS series. First we had to drive from Maryborough, so of course we stopped where we could find a cache. Thanks to all the cache owners. We will make special comments where applicable.
We found the lid on the ground and then did a bit of a scavenger and came up with the container. We repositioned the magnet and fixed the container back to where it should be. The lid is not connected to the container anymore.

A quick easy find. There does not appear to be enough houses around to have ever supported a school. Incredible how times change.

Found at 1.00pm, we had spent some time relaxing at lake Watchem and now heading home for lunch. Another snippet of history consigned to a small sign.

After a trip to St Arnaud we headed home a different way just because we could. The lid of the container is missing but other than that all is good with the cache. SL TFTC

Staying in St Arnaud for the week for the mega.
Today we set off for a day trip to check out the silo art trail and various caches along the way.
Rather slippery grass on the way to this one. Ended up on my bum. Should have brought a toboggan.
Thanks for the placing and maintaining this cache, tigersden

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks tigersden for the cache.

On our way to Mildura (neisha07, boo09, chan02 & myself) we stopped for a leg stretch, drink and cache. A nice quick find by the youngest kiddo. No matter how many years I cache, there are still more Tigersden caches to find. TFTC
Found on my way home after spending a few days in the area following the Silo Art Trail. This ca c he was within easy reach after sliding down the slippery incline to get to GZ

Found it, interesting bit of graffiti on the silo from 1986 which a friend of mine may know who the artist was..... tftc
After a great weekend in St Arnaud, today I was heading to Mildura today. A nice quick find and a chance to stretch the legs.
My thanks to tigersden for the cache.
My thanks to tigersden for the cache.
Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find of the cache in a logical hide. Unfortunately the log was in very poor condition. So we left a temporary replacement logbook in its own plastic bag with the original log. Thanks tigersden for the cache.
This was a quick easy drive by. It is astounding to think that there was once a thriving school on this site. Certainly wouldn't know that if you just drove past. Thanks for the history lesson, the cache and bringing it to our attention.
Today papi4506, the occasional geoturtle37 and BeckNmonts joined forced, and decided to do some caches on our way homewards bound. Thank you for placing the cache. Along the way we learnt some history, saw some historic features, or simply good artwork! It was a great drive homewards with rewarding caches. TFTC tigersden
Taking this way home and breaking up the drive by finding a cache or 2.
Another state school that has dissapered
I parked close by and after a gingerly walk through the long grass I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks tigersden TFTC.

Missed the turn onto this little road so after u turn we soon fond the hide. TFTC
Managed a quick park and grab while passing through, although a little slower while walking through the long dry grass on this rather warm day. The cache though was quickly located and logged, thanks tigersden for the hide.
Found on our way to the "Welcome to the Border" event at Cox's Windmill in the Ngarkat Conservation Park before tackling the Border Track that involved 2 days of awesome 4x4 and awesome company.
A nice quick find here today. I swear we have found half of Western Victorias old school sites with Tigersden geocaches :d Not that I am complaining. TFTC!

A cool spot for a cache find with friends! We took some cool photos here with our back to the cache.
Well what an unexpected wonderful adventure this week turned out to be! I was meant to be in Alice Springs, but plans needed to change, so a relaxing trip to Victoria was the go.
Wozzle68 and I buddied up, and we ended up being great travel companions [^]....OMG, so much laughter , loud music [^], off-key singing and fun was had [:o)] [^]. We also teamed up with ChooknChunk and travelled in convoy to attend Mildura for '3 States in a Day' caching and events. What a great 4-some we made [^]....certainly brilliant dynamics [^], fabulous conversations [^] and loads of giggles [^].
Thanks for the cache tigersden!

Found with Wozzle68 and GoodLook on the way home from our '3 States in a Day' caching and events fest.
We were here very late in the afternoon and the setting sun was still catching the nearby silos - really pretty stuff!
We are always amazed at just how many state schools were out here once upon a time, but also just as pleased to see they were important enough to be recognised with various plaques and signs.

Thought I'd go for a drive before the bonfire was due to be lit, so with the promise of letting geoson drive for some of the way, the 2 of us headed East to grab a few caches. This was the first one. An easy find with plenty of room to pull off the road. TFTC Tigersden.

We were on our way home from Mildura, taking the scenic route! Weren't going to stop here but we hit a big bump in the road and the step on the van came out so had to stop and once again lucky there was a cache close by! TFTC
A very quick find as it was pouring rain. What a shame all these little country schools have disappeared. At least there is a sign showing where they were. Thanks tigersden.
A short detour and another quick find - enjoying finding out about some local history of the area...
