Away for the weekend and caching along the way. Quick find on this occasion. TFTC.
Not a great fan on crane caches but thanks for not making it a nano. Quick find. Found with Mogni and JJ52. All logs stamped as JAMS. It was a day when the JAMS crew got together again or at least three out of the five of us. Plan A was to do the Abandoned railway trail on e-bikes but Allister is out with injury so, Plan B was a day the three of us ( the remianing one is STILL on holiday, that is a dam long holiday ) and host a CITO in propect ( i need a CITO in that LGA ) on sunday and find caches " in that general area ), Mogni decided we needed to attend a event on the yorke's on saturday. So Plan C was born. Off to the Yorke's it was, the first cache found was in Kulpara and then working down to Port Victoria then over to the Welcome to the Yorke Valley Dam event and some tasty food provided and then some more caching to our overnight accommodation in Adrossan. Sunday saw us caching along the coast on the way home, somehow taking a detour through Mallala before getting to prospect to host Cane Reserve Clean up CITO, I even got a cacher from England at the CITO. 80 finds plus labs for the weekend away, it wasn't about the numbers, it was about a relaxing time away. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
Found in plain sight. Replaced the log book Grabbed a photo then had a picnic nearby
Today out and about on 118 of 122 days to get my daily cacher Ruby Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!The cache is in damaged and the log book has lots of space Thanks for the cache.TFTC
On our way back to Adelaide, thought we would have a look and found it. Was fun.
Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis, Kingscote and Im now in Adelaide for a week.Well it is half way through Mega week for me and I have had a lot of fun with lots of different caches along the way.So after being with Roaming Howie for a day of LGAs and other caches on Monday. Then a day up north with GARP (Gemma, ahomburg, Roaming Howie and Posums) yesterday for the Premiers of South Australia series and the Its a small world series yesterday. Now its time to head even further North for The Sad Fisher series, part of Postman Pats Mail Run series and for some of the Gone Fishn series as well.GemmaSistema joined me again as my navigator and we met up with The Tritonz, Roaming Howie and TheBelgainKet at Port Wakefield for breakfast. So off we went and it was getting hot and dusty and thank goodness for the aircon in the Geowagon and there was also plenty of banter over the 2 ways along the way.So after 2 and a bit of trail caching GemmaSistema and I tapped out and we parted ways with the others to take a more relaxed afternoon of caching to check out the sights of the area and to slowly make our way back for the first official event.I first thought railway goods loading crane but not if and where there was a railway.Cache was soon located and signed. Thanks Southern Cross Caching TFTC.
After smashing out some numbers on nearby power trails it was time for a more leisurely look around with Posums at the small towns and history that make up this area. Nice easy find here - thanks for the fun and adventure.

It’s wet and miserable in Adelaide this morning so no bike ride for me……..instead, why not head North for a day trip and see what caches I can find along the way. At least there’s some blue sky and a bit of sunshine peeking through

The CO advised that this cache had been muggled and thrown up high to a T4 location.Turned the blue to yellow after a slippery ascent. Cache is now where it is supposed to be. TFTC
When we approached GZ we were a little concerned about what we would be looking for. This structure was amazingly free of spiders and any other form of creepy crawly's which is always a bonus. Hubby was the one to find the cache in the logical place. SL TFTC
The big red monster didnt want to let go. Finally prized from its clutches.

Headed over to Moonta today, to do some family stuff, and to knock off a few caches! As we pulled up I cringed a little...these things are as bad as Cannons! Luckily we didn't have to search for long before we had the cache in hand. TFTC
Took some serious muscle to convince the magnet to give up the prize.
Super quick stop, interesting spot

Decided to finish off the day's caching with ilook4geo at Paskeville. This was not a hard one to find and the log was soon signed with two more names to record our visit. Thanks go to Southern Cross Caching for placing this cache in a quiet little place. No muggle problems around here.
Paskeville offered some more caches for the day and these were found along with goingplaces2. No problems in finding each one. Log was signed and replaced. Job done. TFTC.
We had a lovely time caching and exploring in Moonta, but now it was time to head home. A nice little series in Paskerville had us distracted.
Usually feel quite daunted by caches on structures like this, but fortunately RoadieR had the cache in hand in no time at all.
Thanks Southern Cross Caching.

Today, the weather was forecast to be dismal with thunderstorms and a rain drenching! Consequently, gridge98 and I retreated to the more dry vicinity of Upper Yorke Peninsula. Other than a few drizzles, we had good weather. We visited Paskeville, Kadina, Moonta, Balgowan, Point Pearce, Maitland, and Arthurton, with highlights of the mining relics, 4WD-ing along the west coast beach, and finally dinner and heading around Maitland. A long day out and about, arriving home just after midnight.
This had us looking for a short amount of time, until finding the suspect cache type. The logbook was in good shape, but the container lid was missing, so it may need attention soon. Thanks Southern Cross Caching for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today With the weather more promising on the yorke peninsula than in Adelaide, Davidwazza and I decided to head over and clean out as much as we could as well as doing quite a bit of beach 4wdriving.
In total 87 finds within 1 DNF for the day.
Thanks for the Cache

With restrictions about to ease even further, I think we can safely enable our caches for people to start finding again. Please remember to practice safe hygiene measures while out an about, remain safe and most importantly, have fun.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone, in these terrible times and with the current government directive for people to stay at home unless it’s essential. We’ve made a decision to take our caches off-line to stop temptation and encourage people to stay home. If this goes longer than the allowable 2 weeks period and geocaching hq decide to archive them, then so be it. But let’s hope this is over as soon as possible with as little damage as possible, so we can all get on with our lives this great game in the conditions we are accustomed to.
Cheers and stay safe and healthy,
Shane and Josie

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Hiding from the Kadina Show crowds at Paskerville, it is cold, windy, wet and bleak. So spent the better part of the day trying to solve puzzles. Not having much luck with puzzles, and a break in the weather, lets go and find a local cache or five.
Very quick find in this piece of red machinery. Good, that means I can get back in the car. Thanks Southern Cross Caching.
