Works are finished and area significantly changed. Cache can be archived and after I have a better look around I may place another cache at this location. E

This area is still in construction as per previous comment. Due to 2019/2020 bush fire activity and then COVID-19 works have halted. It is anticipated that the site works will be completed by late November, 2020.

I was looking everywhere whilst on a camping trip with the kids finally found it, great hide

Nice little easy cache thanks started a new log.

Out with the geo fam exploring the area. Lovely quiet spot. Not a sound of city noise to be heard, just the peaceful sounds of the bush. Made a quick find.
Logbook was full but we had a sheet of paper in the car to act as a log for now.

Nice easy one

Lovely spot here. Ready to walk to blue pools. Daughter needed to climb to reach this one. Log book full.

We’d been Caching north of Stratford all afternoon so far and still had a couple of hours of daylight left. We had an interesting drive through the forest on roads which weren’t marked on our various GPS maps. Somehow we got here! It’s a delightful spot, especially with birds everywhere! We must come back to spend some time here and enjoy the location.

Checking out Freestone Creek Road as a way to get through to Dargo, but in all honesty it has nothing going for it.
Stopped here, but didn't check Blue Pool for some reason, with the cache in a nice hide, but could see the edge easily. Still a great hide in a great spot, must come back again one day.

The last time I stopped by here was when we were heading home from Dargo and it was pouring with rain so we abandoned the search. Today, however, the weather was nice and sunny so after locating the cache we took a short walk to the Blue Pool. I can see why this place is very popular in summer!

A bit tricky for me but my trusty caching partner was able to locate this one. Had a lovely walk around the area as the weather was lovely, just not warm enough yet for a dip in the lovely pool though.

Great location and a great find. So much fun!!!

We were on our way to Dargo with the MX-5 Club for Sunday Lunch and made the short detour to Blue Pools. After we had all walked down to the pool for a group photo, I had just enough time to find this cache before we all left in convoy. "Caching time" is not something that gets built into the schedule so you have to grab what opportunities you can...quickly...I didn't have time to rush back to my car for a pen so I hope a photo of the log will do.

Awesome camping weekend with friends. Surprised at how busy it got, particularly with day visitors. A first quick search and we came up empty handed. Some eagle eyed campers had seen us with the GPS and came up to ask us about it, they had heard about it but never really tried. So we all headed back to the geozone and with some monkey like tactics the cache was soon in hand. Definitely need a bit of reach for this one.

Had a good look around, but no luck! But enjoyed the walk down to the pools & definitely will visit again. Great for a swim but unfortunately to cold & overcast when we were there, but next warm day past there we will stop for another look.

After looking at the standing log I extended my search and found the cache nice and dry ! Amazing drive along next to this river ! Tftc

After visiting the beaches at the sea just south of this place we got a tip from some local about this camping site, and since the sun was about to go down we decided to have a look at this place, despite the detour.

After setting up our tent and taking a bath in the "pool" we made a try on this one, and found it quite fast.

Came to walk the pup & return to the spot where I broke my leg on a mountain bike in 2007. River to high to cross so back to peregrine point on another visit.
No writing tool in cache so I found a pencil & trimmed it to fit. Took nothing.

Had a beautiful overnight camp amongst nature at its best. Need to be able to level caravan if considering camping. Weather wonderful and water coolish but refreshing and SO clean and clear. Cache terrain a bit of a challenge but Poppy became a young athlete again and won the battle!!! What a wonderful cache. Will be back. TFTC.

Found it when we were camping in the rain at the blue pools. Very nice spot for a swim but make sure it a warmer day than today.

Due to the Australia Day long weekend there were people everywhere, the camp site was full and there were even people camping within sight of GZ. Someone in the camp site was playing Triple J's Hot 100 which was nice since I was out of radio-reception range most of the day. Close to GZ people were walking all over yelling and looking for their lost dog. Even with all the people around, by pretending to read all the provided information allowed me to have a good look around for the very well hidden cache's hiding spot. Noticed something out of place but a large guardian spider made me hesitant to investigate more, however after looking at all other places there was no other option. After a bit of a scramble and jump soon had the cache in hand, signed the log and another scramble to replace it.

Needed a clue, coordinates take me to information sign.

Great spot. Well hidden. A bit off the beaten track!! TFTC.

We arrived here to check out the camping area and decided that it is not the best spot for us. We then went to have a look at the pool. We liked it. It would be a great place to spend a summers afternoon. The Kids (and I) threw some rocks in the water as you do trying skipping stones and just had good clean fun for a while.
It took a few looks to find the cache hidden away but once spotted the hiding place it was a matter of how do we get it. Miss CI succeeded in retrieving the container.

what a great start to the high country... an amazing water hole so close by... a real treat for South Austrlians to swim in such a wonderful spot in a park... SA the driest state... just wonderful
