15 minutes looking.
No luck.
Could it have fallen to the ground when the barrier was hit?
Could it have been cleaned up with the debris?
We may never know.

Visiting Auckland (from Wellington) with plenty of time to grab a few caches this morning, and this was one. Sadly, despite searching far and wide around GZ, nothing was found.
I thought it would be an easy park n grab, but nothing was found where expected. May be worth a look by CO. Thanks anyway
Another trip to the air port on a dot day so another chance to grab a few caches.
I searched all of the likely spots without luck.

Searching for places to stop on the airport road, this cache looked convenient. Quick find in good condition. TFTC.
Was picking up a family member coming from Australia for Christmas/New Year and thought a finding a few caches. Saw this on the map and thought finding it. There weren't to many muggles driving past today so finding the cache was a breeze in the usual suspected location. Thanks for the cache bluedahlia.co.nz. TFTC!!!
Find number 6071. A couple of days caching in Auckland. Doing the cycle trail from Mangere to the Airport. Found 45 caches in the day. Weather was trying to rain but so far I have managed to stay dry (apart from a little splash in a pond). A muggle at the nearby bus stop so checked the bike until her bus arrived. Then signed and returned. Thank you for the placement.
I have been known to tell a few tall tales in my time.

A couple of hours waiting for our connecting flight - so time to walk down here and see the planes. One hangar door has a hole cut out to fit the tail!
#618. Mr Northwood was taking Mother and Father Northwood to the airport after a visit. So he had time to look for a few caches around the area.
Got this one on the way home, just about a drive by. TFTH

Thanks for the cache, dropped a trackable in the container. I hope someone can drop him off at his destination.
Last day in New Zealand, great walk rather than spend evening in the hotel. Thank you for this farewell gift.
Thanks! Found one on the south island and one on the north to qualify for North and South island on one day challenge. We just arrived and thought to find this one. Pretty quick to find but nice to see A UK again!

Found it before my early flight today.
It is too early and the sky is still dark so I did not take a photo with my TBs.

A hot stroll around the airport passing time before a flight. The colour threw us off to start with but really was the only option. TFTC #266
After an amazing cruise on the *Viking Orion,* I and my dad headed out to the airport to await my flight home to Ohio. Of course there was a 6 hour wait ahead of us and we couldn't even check in for 3 hours, so with dad watching the bags, I got the folding geobike out and went for a ride. Amazing weather and I had no problems making the quick find on this one.
Out collecting a few cachea tonight in the car as it had been a bit too hot in the day for our usual walks.Parked up here and made a nice quick find.An excellent spot for a cache.Would enjoy sitting here and watching what was going on.
My last cache of the day before heading back home to do some overdue household chores. A nice quick find here of a nice dry cache
My last find before heading off to catch my bus into the CBD.
Nice quick find but no tall geocaching tales to tell here.

our first ever cache! my 2 little boys were excited to find treasure! we have swapped a few items, very cool! thanks. note: we found this little police man - didn't know the goal was for him to get to australia at the time but we promise we will find somewhere cool to put him
Dropped off the Little Policeman TB a bit closer to the airport so he can get to Australia!
Was out this way after work, and decided to grab a couple more caches for the month. Parked close by in the little driveway and made a quick find. Dropped off a small TB, TFTC
Found whilst waiting for our flight to Christchurch as visiting Christchurch was a cheap way to get to Blenheim for our son's tech course graduation as part of his RNZAF training. With a couple of hours before our flight we decided to fill in the time by doing a bit of airport caching.
This one was a quick find in an area where there were very few muggles.

My nephew and I had to drop a puppy off at the airport to fly down to Queenstown, and since we were nearby decided to find a few caches. Thankfully it was early, so there weren't too many vehicles around. Parked right by GZ to make a quick find.
Sweet spot great to see the planes getting fixed.

A bit early this morning for our flight, and very few people around at 3:30 am so the perfect time to look for this one. A nice quick find here with purply and darthcacher1.
Went out for a little tour to grab some easy Caches. The weather was cold and grey but fortunately not raining. Anyway, for most of the Caches I could park very close and make easy finds.
Quick and nice find here!

Found myself at the airport way earlier than necessary, so with time on my side, I set my sights on a couple of caches before I headed across to the terminal for my flight. Switching my caching eyes on, this was a quick park and grab before sunrise TFTC
I sussed out Air New Zealand Grab-a-seats from Palmy to Auckland and return last December, $19.00 each way, & paid with airpoints. Again two weeks later, another good deal for the following day. Weather forecasts for several days had been conflicting - but it was pleasant again today to be out walking. With the plane delayed, I had only two & a half hours today for my cache walk-about. I found six caches today, 1 DNF (because of time limit), & another had muggles nearby, in no hurry to go. My eyesight at present is not 100% (awaiting cataract procedure), and some caches took longer to locate than they should have. Thanks bluedahlia.co.nz for the cache.
Grabbed a few caches near the Airport before flying back to Australia. SL and replaced, TFTC.
I drove past this one on a previous occasion, being completely bewildered as to where I might park. Fortunately since then I've become much more competent at caching in an industrial environment so had no problem at all today . For some reason one feature first grabbed my attention but found the cache in the second place I looked. Thanks .
Passed by here on the way to work. Easy find thanks to the good hint, all dry and signed. No idea what the aeroplanes were but one was big and black with a silver fern. One was peeping through the hangar door. Nice pretty pond too. Good spot. TFTC
A quick find on the way back to the airport.
Thank you for the cache!

I arrived in New Zealand and after sleeping off the jetlag, I spent a day mostly geocaching around Auckland. Next day was even more lazy, I only went out in the evening and slowly made my way to the airport. Nice weather, though hot in the sun but chilly when the clouds covered it. Putting the coat on and off all the time ... Love the waterproof paper in film boxes and similar, it's not very common in Europe. Unfortunately mostly just in Auckland area.
Thank you for the cache!

Went for a walk whilst awaiting a flight. Found one other cache prior to this and gave a few more a miss as I'm a wuss when it comes to looking suspicious in public places. Fortunately spied this one straight away and no traffic passing at that moment, so thanks for improving the success rate of this particular expedition.
A nice easy find and very conveniently placed, it's rare to find a cache with its very own parking spot.
We enjoyed watching the family of ducks swimming nearby. TFTC.

Out for a bit of plane spotting. There were a few 787's hanging around at Air NZ and some fire fighters too that provided entertainment for some. TFTC
Found today after arriving in Auckland for New Years with TwigNZ. Nice easy find, TNLNSL. TFTC
This was a fun geocache to find and it gave us some fresh air before our flight.
A quiet place on sunny afternoon. Nice walk to stretch my legs after long flight.
I started today sitting on 198 finds, knowing full well that I was also due to fly up to Auckland from Paraparaumu this afternoon, and that I would have a couple of hours to kill up there whilst I waited to be picked up from the airport by my partner.
The weather as I left Paraparaumu was glorious, but on approach to Auckland it was soon very apparent that the airport was being hit by a very intense storm! So I hung around the terminal for half an hour until the worst had passed, and then thought I'd go for a walk to make good use of the waiting time. So whilst the worst of the rain had passed, there were still a few drops of rain in the air.
The walk to GZ was pleasant enough, although I was left wondering how I was going to search the area when I got there as all the cars around me were virtually at a standstill due to it being rush-hour!
But I spotted the cache almost immediately and decided to just sit there looking nonchalant for a minute or two until I could grab the cache, sign the log and replace as found over the space of a few minutes so at least the cars moved slowly past.
I used to be a planespotter in my youth in the UK, and have always liked aircraft hangers, so thanks for bringing me out to this spot, and TFTC

Found w/ darkangel and brand0n97 on a geocaching adventure. Brandon and Michael stayed in the car while Lisa went out to explore, until Michael got bored, got out, and went right to where it was by geocache intuition. Good little spot tftc

Nice quick find on our way to drop off campervan hired for few days and then fly home
finally get wifi, very poor in hotel! Quick stop on my way to Sydney. Glad it was a fast find...thank you for adding fun to my trip! As always. dipped my gps GC for mileage.
On the way back home from the airport &, for once, it was a quiet time of day which made it easy to stop & search for this hide, nice quick find, tftc
another good time to do this cache is at 5am on a Monday morning, there weren't too many cars around as I parked in the driveway and made the quick find, so felt safe enough when I backed back out onto the road. couldn't really see any planes - it was dark!
At around 5AM this morning I had to drop a group of hyped up East Auckland youth workers off to Auckland Airport. And so as I then had some time to kill between dropping them off and going to work, I decided to see if there were any caches in the area up for grabs. That is how I came to be looking for this particular cache at this time of the day. So thank goodness for the driveway to nowhere... once I parked it didn't take long for me to have the cache in hand, log book signed and cache put back nicely again. Now off to McDonalds for breakfast. Thank you bluedahlia.co.nz for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts. Nice!
One of the biggest log books I've seen.
Got a good picture of an Air NZ plane being mended.

#3711. I was up in Auckland for a few days on a work trip. Decided to stay in the city for an extra day to find more geocaches in the Auckland region. After picking up a rental car on Friday evening at the airport, it was time to find some nearby caches before going to stay at my sisters place. This one was the first and was a nice easy start for the day. Signed the dry log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Just in big airnz plane sitting in front of the hangar today - had fun plane spotting while caching. Got my first trackable!! all ok here
Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 23. Christchurch - Auckland
My last day in New Zealand, started with an early flight to Auckland. When I arrived there my next flight to Singapore was delayed more than 3 hours, so now I had 6 hours to “kill”. What a lucky man I´m who has cvaching as a hobby. I got rid of the luggage, and went out geocaching. I spent 4 hours around the airport searching for hidden boxes. I found 8 of the closest one. All of them was easy to find. Tftc
