This cache now appears to be in an area that is fenced off, has a big "no trespassing" sign and has owners who are not geocaching friendly. A beautiful spot on the harbour, a shame it can no longer be accessed.
Looked for a good half an hour, but couldn't find it. Thank you for taking us to a place we had no idea was even there
After a day of caching we finally found the right direction to attack this one from. More of a mountain goat track haha very sneaky and well done hide. TFTC
Not the first time we have tried to look for this. Has us stumped. Don't forget the areoguard, mozzies are massive and plentiful.
TFTC! Had a grand weekend away with Cravo10, mugglewife and ItsKate visiting Albany and just about everywhere in between.
We left Perth on Friday travelling via every known backroad and side road known to the maps and maybe even a few not quite so known! Managed to grab a bunch of caches between Perth and Albany on the western side of the highway including a FTF at Boscabel, yeah Boscawhere?? Never heard of it either.
Got into Albany significantly later than we otherwise should have, but managed to get up early the following day to grab a bunch of caches around frenchmans bay, sand patch near the windfarm and further down towards Nullaki and finally around to Denmark.
Got the car nice and dirty on the back roads near the windfarm much to the delight of mugglewife!! NOT!!
Unfortunately the weather didn't work in our favour as we had planned a trip out to bold head to cleanup all out there followed by some kayaking to pickup the Camp Q adventure trail caches but the stars weren't aligned properly for that. But there's always next trip!!
We got up early the following day and grabbed a few caches around town before heading on the road back to Perth, not just Albany highway but every road east of the highway along all the back routes through cranbrook, tambellup, Katanning, Narrogin, high bury and finally back through Willian's with some side detours on the way!!
Had a great weekend and even managed to sneak in a visit with the inlaws who were more than accomodating. Thanks to all of the COs for the caches and we can't wait to come back soon. Thanks

Great to get a find here after more than 12 months without one TFTH fav point
After recently returning back to Perth after my stay was cut short in Albany by a year it was finally time to return. Catching up with old friends, cache maintenance, FTF opportunities And more green dots to convert to smiles lead to a great reason to head back down the highway.
barnzy12 and I had both been planning trips back to Albany and soon realised we had picked the same weekend.(well that's they story the partners are getting)
The drive down was not the quickest due to the intense deviation needed to clear the map however very enjoyable never the less.
All caches were found and replaced in good condition. Thanks to the CO's for bringing me to the great locations that I got to see and drive past.
Happy hunting, Cravo10

Coastn had a good look for his cache and came up empty handed. Sad when the owner can't even find his own creation. Most likely just lost, not muggled, so will disable until mid September when the cache can be looked for once more or a replacement cache rehidden with new co-ords.
After a very long search along with hally4 and kiwinic we came up empty handed...maybe next time
As we were scrambling through the bush (off the beaten track) a voice in the distance yelled out, "the goat track is over here!" It had to be a fellow cachet as the description mentioned a goat track, and sure enough it was Stamstars to the rescue. They had been looking for this cache for about half an hour before we got there. We being ryno80 & Sophie, hally4 and myself. We spent forever looking but to no avail... Mosquito bitten and defeated we headed back to the car with this DNF, but enjoyed hanging out and chatting with fellow cachers on the 15 year anniversary
Second time to try to find this cache. Did not beat me this time. Great place for a cache. Just watch out for the bees on the track from the road. Had me running. TFTC
Hard find, but persevered and found in less than 10 mins. Bit discouraged with previous logs but had a thorough look. Got to get your hands dirty! Be careful on wet days bit slippery on track. Cheers thanks for the cache!
Very pleasant walk down to the water. Found the boat shed, then it was a bit of a climb back up the hill. By the looks of the vegetation, many 'goats' have been present, clamouring around GZ. Took us a little while, then as we stood back to survey the area, we spotted it. TFTC and bringing us down to this special spot.
Enjoyed the walk down to the water. Cool boatshed!! Up the goat track and found the cache. TFTC
We had a go at this once before, but gave up before starting, when we couldn't find a way to get anywhere near GZ. Maybe it should be mentioned in the cache description that access is from the south (via Bayonet Head Rd/Anchorage Vista) rather than via the north (via Elizabeth St/Allson Pde). This time we came from the right direction, and were able to find the paths to the cache quite easily, although walking by the HUGE and threatening red "No Trespassing" sign made us slightly nervous, despite the reassurance given in the cache description!
GZ proved somewhat hard to pin-point, and perhaps the bush vegetation made life difficult for my GPS, because I found myself wandering all over the place at the top of the goat track, struggling to nail down GZ. Eventually I stumbled across the cache, and was glad to chalk up another smiley. Judging from earlier logs, not everyone has walked up the right goat track - but if you follow the cache instructions carefully and start at the boat shed, it is clearly visible and easy to access and walk. If only finding the cache proved a little easier!
The water looked beautiful today, and we were amazed to see an astounding number of tiny hermit crabs in the water right along the shoreline. Definitely worth taking the time to stop and admire these little creatures! Thanks for bringing us to this delightful spot, we felt privileged to enjoy a part of Albany that very few people would have opportunity to visit.

Geo son found this one while I took some photos and enjoyed the view beautiful spot lots of mozzies had to bail out quick as they came out of nowhere! Found easy access and parking off anchorage vista in bayonet head tftf
Well seeing as this hadn't been found for quiet some time I was worried it wasn't there.. Walking past the warning signs made me feel nervous but we continued on.. Happy to say the cache is there and in good order! Hope more people take the time to find this one, it's a lovely spot!
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
didnt find cache though i went for a quick search the hard way down the track. i will go back for a longer look. i just had ants crawling all over me last time.
Even though i knew exactly where this one was i was beaten to it by my newby Mr TopGeor. We did go the hard way though. Adventure plus. Thanks:)
Loved this area. So picturesque. The terrain level was only a 2? Well maybe if you went on the right path the first time! We went down one and then up it again (which was about a level 4), then realising we were too far over, walked to and then down the correct one. The cache was soon in hand and after a quick perusal of the beautiful setting, we made our way back up again. Thanks for the cache Coast'n Along.
Wow the views , little tricky in the rain going along the goat track but worthwhile nice cache.
I wish I took the mosquito repellant but this was our very first geocaching adventure! Thankyou for the adventure.
Oops. Should have read the blurb closer. Approached it from the Lower King end. Still made it a bit of fun wandering through the bush. Joined by geoson, his mate and the geopooch. Cheers Bloffy
What a wonderful view, and the Boomers loved the area around GZ. We followed several goat tracks however found an easier way out. Perfect day for photo taking. TFTC
I did this cache the easy way I arrived via my boat and you get a totally different view coming across the water to this great cache. Discovered Morse Kid Travel Bug and he is now traveling with me for a short while.
We were not sure we took the right track in, but we did find a small track leading us down towards the water.
The GPSr was playing up a bit so our search area was large. Took a while but we eventually found the interesting cache container.
Loverly spot on the water.
Thanks, Robmc.

We followed your instructions to approach this one and were fortunate
that the heavy rain was still another day away as that slope could get treacherous
in the wrong conditions.
Then our fun started. I reckon we spent 20 minutes here before Rob spotted your hide.
Thanks for bringing us here

we had to do some bush bashing to find this one! even though the description say otherwise
In the company of Roader, we spent about half hour in searching for this cache and unable to find it. Thanks for bringing us to the beautiful location and the challenge.
2nd time and no muggles YAY. The ants are a bit stingy but not harmful.
TFTC lovely walk along beach on low tide.

Reperio at 1840. Parked as close as we could, and made the run to GZ to find a lovely old jetty, and of course, the boat shed. Hunted around for the cache a little longer than expected, but eventually came across the unorthodox container.
Gratias.
Gratias.
our last one for the day after tackling some of the Albany 100, nice place, TFTH.
Ralph enjoyed meeting a few local hounds en route to this one. Good beach for a romp too.
Interesting spot!!
Interesting spot!!
mmmm...what can I say....I intially thought this one was at the boat shed in town...I failed to look at the map! Geodaughter had her heart set on this one...so what the heck we went for a drive. Well....carrying a 1 year old and a 3 year old on each hip through that terrain from the top park....it felt like I had just come off the hockey field again! Luckily it was an easy find at GZ. I don't know the area at all....so it was interesting at the waters edge..a boatie had run out of fuel...so he joined us on the way back up for a lift to get some fuel...what a great day!
found by geo daughter, me thinks we might have parked at the wrong end, walked through the bush down a VERY steep hill, then had to walk through the water to get back, a long walk back to the car via the road DOH DOH
A great little spot. walked/waded here once from lower king. Thanks for the cache Rainbow Coasters a great cache to get back on the caching bike after a long caching drought.
The goat track is a super highway now. It's our third visit, finally with success. Thanks for the extra info Cruznoz.

Nice area. It was a beautiful day so decided to go for a walk after finishing morning bus run. New Coordinates were spot on.
A visit to the cache today revealed the co-ordinates may be out a little. New co-ords in listing and extra information in the description to help make the find. The Coasters did not intend to make this one difficult at all and hope all who venture down to the Boat Shed in the future will find the cache without to much trouble and enjoy another beautiful place on the shores of Oyster Harbour.
Found on the second attempt. The gps had me searching miles away from it last time, but today it took me to within a couple of metres of GZ. A nice spot.
We returned for our second try at this one. Geopooch Chloe was happy to see fellow Geopooch Dylan, with Albany Nomads, already there. However, whilst Dylan happily played in the water, Chloe tried to help!! Tripping us up as we went up and down the many tracks like mountain goats. OK, so McFonz said the GZ was 10 mts out, BUT which way????? N.S.W.E.?????
Luckily Cruznoz turned up with his GPS and managed to find it. He didn't tell us where it was, but said he was only 3 mtrs away from it, which gave us much better odds on finding it. Which we did. Our GPS was showing 13 south of GZ!!!!
Thanks CN.
Yes, it is only an arms length from the track...BUT which track?? There are so many I can't remember. No, it is not obvious, even once you know where it is, you still need to look hard!!!
No hints - but take a mountain goat...... - look for an obvious place to hide a cache - and there are many of them.... Take little notice of your GPS, in case it is like ours and is playing games with you.... BUT DO stop down on the jetty and enjoy the view.
A nice little hide-a-way spot.

Dylan was more interested in the water than rambling around the bush.
As the evening was coming upon us - Nomads, GR8T and Cruznoz hit the tracks to find this one. Obvious spot once you find it but not so obvious if you are using your GPS. Up to 13 meters out. A real nice place to visit at dusk.

The GPS was all over the place and we ended up on a goat track, which was very slippery after rain. No idea where to look as co-ords took us to the middle of a wet bank. Decided it was not worth the effort if the cache was on the bank somewhere! What a nice spot down by the shed and the jetty, on the pathway. Chloe liked the walk though.
DYLAN..7:30am this morning):- (" Woof..woof !..get out of bed you two..I've been reading the geocache sites and I'm getting a bad rap from a fellow cacher that all I do is sleep in..when its you two that sleep in..not me)"
We headed off to the "Boat Shed Cache" with hope to clock up another cache..although Dylan got us out of bed..he was only interested in going for a swim.
Unfortunately the Nomads had no success at finding this cache today...there has definitely been more than two other cachers looking for this.

I too failed with this one. An amount of damage is been done to the area though. Maybe when a small cache is hidden in the bush it should be closer to the main track.
The description has been amended to make finding the cache easier. There is definitely no need to do any bush bashing or vegetation vandalism to make the find at GZ.
Ok, we'll admit to being the first dnfs - no, two others logged dnf while I wrote ours.... Came to look on a beautiful still autumn evening, took the open gate towards the water and hesitated as the track parted. A wide path leading to a dwelling and a goat track leading down the hill. Not knowing if the dwelling was occupied we chose the goat track and went on a terrain 3 1/2 decent following the pointer on the gps. Surely not the track people would walk with their pooches?!
Ok, when we got closer we saw the gravel track. Now just find that cache and then we are out of here. However we were not sure, if we even were on a goat track, trying to get to GZ. As dusk (and mozzies) set in, geodad, junior and small geokid headed back to the car (via the gravel track) while geomom and middle kid kept looking for another 5 mins, before they headed back with a sad dnf as well .
Will be back to this nice spot, maybe with the pooch, past the dwelling and down the gravel track

My arrival at the gates to the 'private property' was announced by what seemed to be about 100 of those small green face birds. Leisurely walk down to the jetty to check that out and wonder at its history before making my way up the goat track to commence my search. Found the cache after walking up and down the tracks and examining what was not too far away from the track. Although I located the cache about 10 meters from GZ, there is definitely no need to tread on any vegetation.
Thanks for bringing me to this place and the cache.

Not sure what happened but we had logged this find previously through the iphone but for some reason it hasn't appeared?
We were very surprised to be the first to find given the obvious evidence that others had been there before us, must be shy about logging DNF's
I'm surprised the Nomads havn't been on the task, Dillon obviously slept in [|)]
Thanks for another interesting location Coasters and thanks for the FTF prize - Yummy
