I dragged the geokids up here on a whim. Unfortunately the cache has gone missing/destroyed as the area has been weed eaten and there are traces of log book scattered.
Cache # 1,746 - after a DNF this morning, I had lined this one up to be the backup. Quite interesting walking up the slip track in the dark, even more interesting trying to find the way back in the dark. the torch was only of limited use. However, it was a near instant find at the GZ, and log, while slightly damp, is in good shape. Wonderful to see the view up here at night, and only wished I could have been a bit earlier to see more stars in the sky. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Cache #132
Have had a long break from Geocaching, so decided to hit Blinky to break my 38 day slump streak.
Nice easy walk up to GZ, had always wanted to come up here for the last 20+ years.
• Easy Find
• Log slightly damp

After a walk along Lyall Bay beach to watch my daughter's flight take off, this was my closest unfound cache. Breezy walk to the lookout but found a more shelter vantage point on the southern slope. Spent a while watching life go by and a yacht battle the northerly wind. Geo girl got the cache again!
My GPS hates the south coast......and I was running short of time....fortunately this one was exactly where described. TFTC
Quick find as the drizzle evaporated and the day really started to come good. Great view - TFTC !
Found it during a trip around Kilbirnie - Newtown - Lyall Bay - Kilbirnie. Nice sunny day with strong windy Thanks.
Probably I wrote wrong date in logbook (29.9.13).

Out and about on a quite good Saturday.
Quick, straightforward find on this one.
Cache all in order, log signed; then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

I cheerfully ignored the track being closed and made my way up the hill. Met a young mugglette at the top who mentioned the track that heads down to the Lyall Bay side of the reserve was being rebuilt (hence the closure). Great views today. Thank for the clever hide too. TFTC
Nice spot, behind the cache area there is a loose water pipe with a tap on it, good for a top up of water.
The track to this cache has a locked gate on it - "Track Closed - dangerous". Yeah right. Around the gate we went. There is some track maintenance happining, but no workmen and no real excuse for the gate sign. Found with Bijootoo's family, young master 5 made the find.
Great view from up here..The trickest part of this one was finding the starting point for the track and parking...not being locals. But we figured it out. Looks like there are some other interesting caches to locate up here but we were a little short on time and energy today.

Found as the first cache of the day and the start of a hike to the southern walkway and into town - picking up 'prizes' along the way.
Good cache and site, thanks Felix!.

Thanks so much Felix! for all your hides- I've enjoyed chipping away at them! It was so lovely up here this afternoon- could've stayed so much longer than I did but alas, more caches to find!
Walked up to this one on a superb morning - calm, sunshine and blue sky. Checked out a couple of false trails at the top, then quickly found it using the hint, TFTC Felix!
Great spot. Was a little tempted to see if I could get Binky-Blinky to blink during the day, but then the sensible voice in my head told me to leave it alone. TFTC!

Came in from View Road and found Binky-Blinky easy enough, but the cache was nowhere in sight. Hunted around the clue object but nothing. Hopefully we were looking in the wrong place otherwise it seems it might have been muggled. Continued on to get the other caches in the area on a lovely sunny day.
Another great location, and a seat to sit on while logging, and to enjoy the fab views.

The gate at the bottom of the hill was open but I thought I'd better walk up. Mysterious muggle vehicle present and open (see photo) but no one in sight. TFTC
I had an early morning drop off at the airport today so decided that I would try for this cache before heading off to work. I arrived at the gz just as the sun was coming up so was able to enjoy the great views while I did the honours with the log. TFTC
Neat spot, as we were logging it a muggle came by with his dog, we ended up following him around the other caches in the park too.
Got a little lost, and then walked around the long way. But fantastic once we got there!
Find #647. Sixteenth for the day, the afternoon really started to show by now. Having just finished lunch at "Baywatch" we proceeded up View Rd and parked to knock off this cache. We had been up here to fetch "Suby Ridgeway" so we are baffled as to how we could've not picked it up previously (looking at the date of our find on Suby Ridegway and the date of publication on this cache, it becomes pretty obvious ).
A muggle kid and his family were at GZ initally, but they moved on as we closed in on GZ. A quick find, cache was quite obvious from even a distance away, so we tried to rehide it a bit better. Spectacular views from up here. SL TFTC.

Nice clue was good my gps was spot on ''BIG WALK TO THE TOP'' but fantastic views worth the walk
Couldn't have picked a better day to do these caches on this headland. Georgeous sunny afternoon with virtually no wind. TNLN TFTC
Found on a beautiful still evening waiting for the big Queen Elizabeth boat to sail by. TFTC.
A nice day to be in this part of Wellington, enjoyed the walk with great views from Binky Binky area. TFTC
Found by mistake while trying to find another geocache

Wonderful views of the harbour doing this series of caches with the Taybee Team. TFTC
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Blinking' amazing view! Worth the fairly steep but relatively short walk up the hill. Easy find.
GC had been logged out from the physical log today but not yet in here as there was another visitor before me today.
Unfortunately I did not bring my camera today but such a spectactular all round view that you would need a fish eye lens (which I do not possess) to do it justice. This place must look amazing round dawn or dusk!
Santa (TB) and his helper (GC) paid a visit to spread some Christmas cheer. Also a virtual visit via their 3P passport TB from a class from Dewinton, Alberta, Canada- bet they are glad they didn't have to actually physically climb the hill lol.
TFTC, another of those lovely "I would never have found this place without caching" spots.

Nice views and bright day. We gave away the idea of trying yesterday due to a screaming southerly.
Left DDRAM coin, moved down from Auckland.

Took Ms M for a nice walk up here today. Great views on another perfect Wellington day. First time we've been on this headland. I've spent many years looking at those lights during a past life.

I used to walk here quite often when I lived in View Rd. Did the 'Felix 4' in a loop starting from View Road, doing Ballymoana, Blinky- Blinky!, Suby Ridgeway, then Thai-Angle. I then drop down to the coast road and walked back to the car. TFTCs
Second cache find of the day. Nice spot and walk up to the cache. We considered doing the other two caches nearby but Mrs bjtrekker had a date with a show that she just had to catch, so we decided to leave the other 2 for another day when we had more time. Thanks Felix! for the cache.
What a great day to do this cache. Views were fantastic.
Cache secure and contents dry.

A nice spot on a nice day. Surprised more people haven't visited this nice spot. Not really that hard, just a short steep leg.

#416. A busy day for this cache, we were the third group to sign for the day. Quickly spotted a likely hiding place upon arrival and found the cache with no trouble. Great views from this entire area, thanks for the walk. SL, TFTC. -tb
Sounds like the whipper snipper trumps cache - thanks Tmann for your help here. Will fix cache container asap. TFTC Felix!
Yep DOC style industrial Whipa-Snipa has destroyed the cache whilst maintaining the area and tidying the trackways. Thanks to Tmann421 as not only were the cache contents, logbook & trackables preserved - A whole new large cache container was in it's place... Have relaced with a smaller and re-hid. TFTC Felix!
Good news and bad news - Bad news is that cache container has been destroyed. Good news is that the WCC maintenance guys that accidentally damaged it left contents and log safe and even tried to protect it. When I arrived there was a ute with two workers in it at bottom of track. I went to cache site and saw it completely mowed and cleared. Parts of cache were spread over a wide area. However cache contents in good condition and in a plastic bag covered with a stick. I got talking to the workers on the way down. They were even sorry they damaged it and said that they got a plastic bag from their ute down the hill to protect. I was quite impressed as they could have just left the site or taken contents. Will need a new container soon and I moved cache to front of cover where it was easier to conceal.
Waited for the recent downpours to abate and the track somewhat. Was surprised to be only the 4th visitor for such a close cache - though the padlocked gate upon arrival was a tad disconcerting.
Would have tried for Felix's other three hides here but didn't have enough time.
Swapped coins for two others.

A joint FTF with Yeetrees. What better way to spend the morning than going for a walk in the rain. Both of us had a pretty good idea on where we were heading after having been here not so long ago. A nice little hiding spot, quite a nice view from here this morning despite the weather. TNLN SL TFTC
Went for a short drive to find this one at lunchtime today as it was a dead calm day and the rain had almost stopped. I happened to have a pair of gumboots in the back of the car and these came in useful along with a large umbrella. The last time I visited this place was with founder Kae Miller herself, it was the 1970s and she had ideas of starting a small alternative-lifestyle settlement in the area. Good to see the plaque in remembrance of her, she was quite a unique person. Found the cache quickly and a 2TF - no competition with Boxhill and Yetrees who were miles ahead of me! Signed log, TFTC and for bringing me back here.
WOW second joint FTF (09:05), Was another nice walk in the interesting Wellington weather, no issues here as it was a track that seems to lead to the correct location, had my trusty gumboots and raincoat on to keep dry. Dropped off Birthday Geocoin for a visit. TFTC TNSL (1920)
