Wow, another old cache. A quick find, should it have a container? Everything was nice and dry inside. The seat was rather cold to sit on well before 9 in the morning! TFTC.
Found it! Sad I didn't bring anything to exchange with the stuff in it. An unexpected storage method in a lovely place I've unknowingly visited before.
After joining my fellow geocaches for a breakfast event, I seen that this cache had been replaced since my last visit. Time to turn my blue to a . Another cache found and time to look for yet another one to keep the numbers climbing.TFTC AlexKeep smiling

Today I came back for another look with 2 previous finders, and was still not able to find this cache.Perhaps it will be third time lucky, perhaps it needs checking, perhaps I am not where it is?TFTC alex Keep smiling
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??

WHY being the word that was used the most. GT37 managed to make the find here. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
So pleased to add this cache to my 'found' list. I love attempting to find the oldest caches in the area I am visiting. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.

Adelaide day three: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to check out Adventure Island. This was our next target due to its age. Upon arrival, we checked out the stone and how it was balancing. But why is it here? What is its purpose?Anyhoo, GT37 spotted the sneaky hide, and our names were soon added to the logbook. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, alex ~~
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences.Easy. GoodThanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
We have arrived in Adelaide for the MEGA Leapyear 2024.We were last time in Adelaide in 2004 so it was about time to refresh our memories and get couple of more caches. This was one of them. Tftc Alex

As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip. Now has Ellen Sch, MrVon sr and Insve started on their jurney home to Norway so we now sign logs with our nick.
Travelling with stensbye. We are here for the Megaevent and will stay in Australia for two weeks. We signed as TA. Thank you for this cache.
Thank you fo the cache!I arrived in Adelaide with my bestfriend geocacher Ironford for the Leap Year Mega. We spent the morning at the Mega location, and then we took a bus to the city centre to do more exploring and geocaching. We managed to cover a lot of ground, including a beautiful walk through the Botanic Garden, and Park Lands. We followed River Torrens back towards the North Terrace and even got to see fruitbats flying out at dusk. Adelaide was such a lovely place to discover! After hearing warnings about all the deadly poisonous critters of Australia, we were a bit reluctant to do a lot of blind searching and poking, but a stick was very helpful.
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. We started in Adelaide and fell in love with the city and the geocaching community. The main goal was the Leap Day Mega Event, but Adelaide was so much more than that!My Leap Year conquest continues after the Mega. I am very excited to log a 2001 find. What a treat in a beautiful place. Many thanks for an invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
After reading the description and with the aid of my sticky thing and a bit of probing the cache was found. I certainly didn't expect a container of this type especially for such an old cache. TFTC.
bunadoorian and I came here today as I needed a cache placed in this date. bunadoorian found this cache first. TFTC and for placing this cache so long ago - alex.
Came into the CBD for lunch and had a few old dates on my list to grab while I was here.Parked behind a guy with a NT theme and a croc on their car. I had a bit of a chuckle. The cache is doing well. A very quick find today and a nice breeze was blowing at GZ. TFTC
Continuing with the South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. There is so much to do and in such close proximity. Today it was leaving Adelaide and venturing north through Gamber and then a little east to grab caches in Waikerie to start the onslaught on the bike series of caches and locals. There is always time for one more cache and that seemed to be the theme for the road trip today. We left the airport and started our trip. Some great variety of caches today and some fun along the way. We got to see a huge moon a rising with some awesome pics. Thanks to all the COs for the hides and caches we found today, awesome caches. Caches were signed BOLD 7 This was not far from where we had digs for the night. a nice leisurely walk.
GC29AE Where am I?Down in Adelaide from Brisbane for the leap year mega. After arriving today we headed north east to our accommodation in Waikerie grabbing caches along the way.Signed as BOLD 7 to save space in the log. Thanks for keeping this oldie going.I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more.TFTC alex
Finally arrived in Adelaide for a week of caching with the mega event on the 29th February. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache and happy caching everyone! Logged with Geo Mega 29th Feb nickname BOLD7.
Not too far from our accommodation for the night, so we made the slow stroll down after lunch! Small but of searching, before the big discovery.
Our largish group was keen for a game of cricket. Disappointing as there were no locals to take us on, therefore Qld wins on default. Would have preferred to grind the locals into the prime / lush turfed field. Signed as BOLD07 TFTC.
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we do prior to heading north tomorrow. Here for the week for the Leap Year Mega! Thanks for more amazing SA caches. Oldies are a must! Fab hide
We are on a trip around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Beside visiting beautiful places we also do our hobby geocaching. We found and signed this cache in good condition. We specially came for this old one Alex, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
Strolling along the river, Torrens, trying to find geocaches along the way.I now feel much more comfortable with my place in the universe. Because I know where I am.
Clocking up cache finds whilst working toward other challenge goals and milestones! TFTC AussieGal88 South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Let's show the rest of the Geocaching world what Australia is made of at The Great Leap Forward!
In town for a few days, figured Id explore the city while caching. This was a quick grab as I scootered around in this beautiful area. TFTC!
Looks like this cache has been found by muggles. The cache was emptied with all the belongings scattered all over the stone. Tried to replace all the belongings in the cache and back where it belongs but the owner might need to come and make sure it’s all here!
Found it
After having coffee with irishalan, parked up nearby so he could visit GC965MP Log this and took the opportunity to get in some to the 10,000 by waking round the zoo, this was not on the way, but why not, so walked to the nearest bridge, for a quick find.
