Day 5 of the KiwiFruitsNZ/Vamber Xmas Road Trip saw us head from Napier to Whakatane (via Gisborne). Our search for caches that met the requirements for the GIO Licence continued!
This was our final find of the day. Secured the cache after a lovely picnic tea in a nearby park.
DAM! Just realised that there was a 5 digit number in this cache for a nearby puzzle! Oh well, guess we will be coming back to Whakatane soon!!!!

Day five of our geo-cation with KiwifruitsNZ saw us tackle the roads to Whakatane from Napier, via the Gisborne route, for the beginning of 2015.
A quick find after we enjoyed some fish and chips for dinner in the sun at the park, after a long day's driving! Thanks for the hide.

We visited cloudy Whakatane and after 2 weeks without caching we had to find one. This one layed nearby the library, so we directly went to this place and Ms Icewiesel found it immediately. Tftc!
I have found a few caches of Mr Geckoh's so it's nice to see a picture. Found whilst waiting for friends. Thank you.
Found it together with SL_Wayne during our amazing holidays here in New Zealand.
Thanks for the cache!!
Thanks for the cache!!
had a bit of time to kill while waiting for the trip to white island so what else would I be doing but finding a couple of caches
Whakatane trip, the mission was 48 geocaches in 24 hours. It was epic, we got 49. This was Number 37 find. Nice little hide, cute container.
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Two big kids were seen on the Minature train, we even checked for our photos on the webcam when we got home! A few hours before we leave, so we collect a couple of caches, we missed a few, but they will wait till we return. Parking a little tricky, being a Sunday it was nice and quiet, but was able to reach. Thanks for the hide.

Its our last day, we are about to travel for home! We have just been on the minature train, collected the cache yesterday when less people were around. Now its time to look for other nearby caches. This looks like it could be quite a challenge! were considering walking the Kohi point walk, and then catch a bus from Ohope to Whakatane. Unfortunately no bus on a Sunday! so we will have to return, Whale Island is also on the list to visit. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
While travelling around in New Zealand we visited this cache.
Thank you for letting us see the country!

It would be nice to be fit enough to try an event like Monty's Revenge!
Many thanks

In the area for the long weekend and decided to go for a early morning walk while the family was still fast asleep. Pleasant walk to GZ after completing another nearby cache. Cache was found quickly once I got to GZ. Decided to collect some Butia Palm seeds which where lying on the ground nearby. These are really beautiful palms so glad to collect some fresh seeds. TFTC
Third cache of the day. Found easily thanks to the good coords and clue. Log sheet is getting full.

Great clue, loved being a Ninja! Popping up when muggles were walking past was quite hilarious.
Quick Park the bike and grab. Had to move my bike though, I had leaned it in the way.
Quick find for the kids after visiting the nearby train. Well done on your success in the race Gecko and TFTC. #200
Easy find on this beautiful day! In the evening, not many Muggles around.
CO thanks.
Greetings from The Netherlands.

Found whilst on a driving tour from Australia around the coast of North Island. TFTC
Contained a log, signed, full, needs replacing. looks like this has been done so must be a popular cache.
Also contained a café business card, we left it there.

Teamed up today with The Squirrel Nutcase, for an assault on Geckoh country.
Found the cache. Well away from the hint. Geckoh's hint's are reliable. The log book is full and incoming cachers are signing on top of older and less clear ones. The cache looked like it should be supported in a certain way, so that is how it was replaced and at the hinted place.
Thanks again Geckoh.

An easy find I did the cycle leg of this race about 10 years ago just after a bad storm so the track was very muddy and the river was up very high for the kayak guy many thanks
Could be considered a bit of a comedown being reduced to grovelling in bushes for lunchboxes. However, we know different. We have had reports from our trusty tramping trekkers, of Mr Geckoh running along bush tracks and mountain ridges with GPS in hand. And very likely with caches in pocket too, ready to tuck away in geckoh places. Monty's revenge lives on in his devious brain, keeping us all up to the mark. Go Geckoh!
Lovely little walkway and great cache. Thanks for the quick stop en route to the park to play on the jungle gyms. T4TC. Did with Mycro Man
Headed out early for a epic days caching, 12 hours and 52 caches, not to sure about the other stats about the day, but I've definiently deserved a beer.
No troubles finding the cache, now only just one more to go before I can go get the full Monty. Looking at the cache page, makes me want to attempt the race, but after today, maybe after a lot more training.
