Love old history like this, even though I'm not from the shore so it doesn't have a huge amount of meaning or nostalgia for me. Find was nice and easy with the hint. Tftc.

As is usual with Team SEAC caching expeditions, a loose plan was made to walk the new treetop walkway and grab a few caches in the area, seeing how the day takes us. Today we had NurseDr, Keylev, LiverKiwi, Laval., and a few international students who have now learnt what geocaching is all about. At this point the majority of the group headed off to find ice cream, and NurseDr continued on finding a few more caches.A nice quick find, exactly where the hint said

Having done an adventure lab, and trying to grab a cache on a seat, only to find a muggle sitting on it, came to get this one. TFTC and the historical information.

Another great weekend in Auckland with Lis's Crew to complete this months challenge and find a few extra caches in and around Milford area.

This was a quick find at GZ. We parked close by and walked in a loop finding various caches on the way as we had completed lots of park and grabs this morning and had a 2 hour drive back to Whangarei once we finished this afternoon. Thanks for the cache.

Yvettetb and I are down in Auckland again for a geocaching weekend. We had a great day today at the event then collected all the different types needed for the souvenir around Auckland. That was a sucessful outing and although rain constantly threatened it only spat on us occasionally.

The forecast for Sunday wasn't much better. As luck would have it we had another dry and productive day. We even managed to get 5 ftfs in Whangarei to finish our weekend off.

I was keen to clear out some of the Takapuna Milford area today. We parked by the rock cache and went for a big loop walk around the whole Milford area. We followed the description given and quickly spotted the hide. Thanks for another one of your caches

Agapanthus was just being cut back so had to wait awhile. Log is mostly full but managed to find a spot to sign. Probably our last for 2022. TFTC.

On a sunny sunday afternoon, we had a look by the plants… after little cachers got sidetracked looking in the agapanthers….it was located with a bonus spider! Thank you!

It's a 3 day weekend for us this weekend what with Auckland anniversary and all that so a decent break from work for me. We have arranged to have 2 of our grandchildren for the weekend too, 4 year-old twin boys so our hands are likely to be full, and not much opportunity for any caching.
But we said we would collect the precious cargo from their home so that means a jaunt up into Northland and there's a chance of a half-dozen prior to collection.
Not much caching either on Sunday with just a couple whilst down near Milford Beach and a trip to Auckland zoo prior to handover at Wellsford stopped the mini-streak in it's tracks. I am glad though.

Out with NZ Travellers and NewlynFam for a walk from Long Bay to Devonport (although we only made it to Takapuna as we ran out of time with all the stopping along the way ).

I had no idea mini golf was such an old idea with a storied history - I've assumed it was an 80s thing. Shows you what I know.

The cache itself was reasonabily quickly found - we operated off the assumption of not to trash a garden or pick apart a wall and it was easily enough to find the cache with eyes and gently hands.

Easy find tftc

Arrived in Milford, met up with our mates and found we were basically on top of this one! Had the cache in hand quickly. TFTC!

Sunny day bordering on rainy when I found this cache, relatively easy find with no hassles and no muggles
Quality of this cache is amazing and was nearly unrecognisable when compared with the rocks around it

Another quick find for us today on our walk in the sun. Nice and quiet over here compared with the beach, so able to make a straightforward find without too much effort required. All good here - TFTC

Third time lucky. We tried to find this one twice in January without any result. Having gained some more experience with G-2 ingenious cache types, I returned today and found the cache quickly and in good shape. Satisfaction! Tftc

day in Takapuna: headed up to Takapuna today after helping my Father with some errands this morning. Spent the day walking from Akoranga to Milford via Takapuna Beach, and experienced some really good caches, especially since this appears to be G-2’s playground. Nice views and good fun all round, so a productive day it was.

The specific log for each cache is as follows:
Fairly quick find here, though there were workers fixing the cables nearby. Had to use my max stealth ability here, and I got the cache out and back in with no trouble. TFTC!

I love mini golf and geocaching. No success with the geocaching today!

This one was tricky. Had a good look around the first time and came up with nothing. Took a break to have a look for some others in the area and returned, to find this one without a couple of minutes. Great camo and TFTC!!

Searched for about 15 minutes and gave up, only to come back later and have Jess? find it in less than 2 minutes. Very cool cache

After attending the nearby IGD event, we took off for a stroll along the beach with Kirstim and vistra to grab a few of the caches we hadn't yet collected in the area. Vistra put his hands on one cache, while we put our hands on another container! Two caches in two different places! We collated the logs, and replaced one container where seemed the most logical while Kirstim took the other container to return to the CO. Thanks for the hide!

After attending the nearby International Geocaching Day event, I joined up with Vamber and Kirstim for a walk along Milford Beach and to find a few caches, signing the logs with either our user names or some variation of KKKTT. Arrived at GZ and spread out to look for the cache, with both Vamber and I finding a cache at the same time - there were 2 at GZ in different places!! TFTC!

I ran into michaelteacher and hayleyfcy, so we spent the afternoon getting the needed caches for the souvenirs. We looked for a few minutes before we were 'taught' how to read the cache page in its entirety. TFTC.

Michaelteacher and I decided to make an afternoon out of it with Agazo since we all needed a number of caches to get our World Turtle. Got to GZ and all 3 of us started looking at what we thought were obvious places for a hide here. Once again, we've learnt that it pays to read the descriptions before searching! Tftc

Our team of three made a good go of some North Shore caches this Sunday afternoon. We were looking for a while, until I had a glance of the hint and found it straight after. Thanks!

We didn't pick a very good time to look for this one as the owner of the property was doing some tree trimming on the other side of the wall. Then a mobility scooter appeared on the scene driven by two teenage girls and towing another two in a trailer snuggled under a white rug!!!
We have never seen a mobility scooter go so fast and have no idea what was going on but hopefully the owner of the scooter was aware of the shenanigans.
Once they had passed by we made a quick and stealthy find undetected by the nearby gardening muggle and headed off before any more antics ensued. TFTC.

What a glorious day for a Friday off! Decided to head out to claim my first ever souvenirs but it turned out to be a bit a of gnarly caching session. Definitely wasn't the easy day I thought it would be. Thankfully this was found just a described, so I managed to claim a smilie on what was about to become a frustrating muggle-filled afternoon. TFTC

Decided to get our tired kids some fresh air so set out for a couple of local caches we've been meaning to find. This one was well described so no trouble picking it up, though we'd forgotten to bring a pencil to write on the log. Thanks for the cache and the local history!

Nice work on the old fotos G! Peaceful times eh!My how things change and quickly these days, too quickly for my liking. Initially I walked past the cache then eventually my cellph settled and walked back 10m. My GPS has died so looking to buy the Garmin 700. It has wifi as well as bluetooth! Getting it on E-Bay, hopefully in a week. Anyway I'm digressing... cache all good G.

Starting to get a bit hungry so when we didnt find it straight away we were ready to give up and then with a bit more attention we found it was exactly where it was meant to be.

I was over this way tonight and I was quite concerned as it was about 10.30PM at night and I still hadn't found my cache of the day. So I left the meeting I was at and decided to try and focus on this one. Love the old photos on the cache page... very cool. Anyway, after parking as close as I could to GZ I made a nice quick find thanks to your hint. So the log book has been signed and the cache has been put back all ready for the next finder. So thank you once again G_2 for all of your efforts in setting up your caches. As always, I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. Nice!

Forgot to log, but found it early yesterday morning 9/3/18.
So after finding the one at the park we walk this way back to the car. Hoping this one wouldn't take as long as the one before it. Safe to say it didn't, ended our little trip to the beach on a good note TFTC

Went to the beach before work for a swim. Only to find a poo'tastrophe had happened at the beach. So no swim today. Cache quickly found with no muggles around.

After a lovely swim at Takapuna beach yesterday we popped back for another today here at Milford beach having managed to get the only shady park on the street. Any nearby caches? Oh yes - this one. Easily found by KrystalKath. (She’s got to find her own share of the finds occasionally!).
**Postscript;** upon arriving back at our accommodation at KK’s Mum’s, we hear on the radio that there’s been a major sewerage overflow into Milford beach earlier today. Bugger, that doesn’t happen back in Taranaki! and a first time for us. How disgusting! Not good for Auckland’s reputation as a beach, seaside city. Anyway TFTC G-2

The family ended with splitting in our Sunday activities today. Wife and oldest daughter went to Rangitoto, and after initiating the remaining children with outdoorsy activities (that is, throwing them out of the house - with no screens!), my day was free to go geocaching/bicycling

A great result: 8 caches found, one dnf, and a nice trip in the good weather.

Just enough time before dark to zip out and look for a couple of caches. Still a surprising number of muggles about in the chilly evening, but managed to avoid them whilst looking for this one. Thanks to the good clue, it didn't take too long to find this one, although in the lower light conditions, it was certainly quite well camouflaged. TFTC

Today dawned a beautiful day in Auckland so after Master SethRavens swimming lesson this morning, we headed off to the North Shore and picked up my big son Tim and off we went . . . . . . Tim knew there had been a Mini Putt course here, as he used to spend a lot of time here visiting his Dad some weekends) . . . . I parked and was right in front of it . . . . . after a quick search, Tim came up with the goods (I had stepped in dog poo and was dealing with getting it off my shoes so it didn't go into the car ) we signed the log and Tim rehid and off we went to find another. . . . . . . TFTC

Took a bit of scrabbling around to find this one but soon had log signed and replaced. a TFTC

I've never been to Milford Beach and lake before so I decided to bring the kids for a walk around and pick up a few caches along the way This was the fourteenth find of the day and another quick one thanks to the hint. The log had been mostly eaten by bugs so I put in another piece of paper in a ziplock bag, TFTC!

There were little bugs inside which seem to have been eating the log. Shook them out then signed the log before replacing. Tftc

I can remember the miniput being there, but it had been closed down and was in disrepair by then.
However I was passing through Milford today so this was literally a nice quick park and grab before I continued on my way. TFTC
