As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Disabled while maintenance is carried out in the area. May be necessary to replace WP1 once all of that is complete.
I have made several visits to WP1 but have been unable to determine the coordinates of GZ. I have looked in all the obvious places for WP1 and GZ.
I have read that maintenance work is programmed for this bridge so if I do not find it soon maybe I never will.

I had a quickish look at WP1 at what I assumed was the hint object. So many muggles out walking or on bikes I couldn't stay long without looking creepy. Something may be there but it didn't leap out at me.
No joy today. Found what we think was the obvious hint object but nothing of interest there.
Yay! Found it under the guise of checking out the blackberries.
Swapped our Army guy with binoculars ( how appropriate) for the fingerpuppet.
Practiced stealth as sooo many muggles out today! [:-)]

Looked for a while. Got intrigued by what turned out to be a Munzee but no sign of what to do next at WP1
We found a munzee but that didn't lead to anything. It was a lovely walk, though, with beautiful views.
Found while out and about with Niqill & Pengus, and also a lot of muggles! Weren't able to collect first time round, but with some good work by Niqill we managed to get this on returning to our parking spot. Thanks for placing
Quick find on the waypoint (this time around).
Took a little longer at the final as there were too many muggles.

First waypoint very neat hide. Final ... too many people making us paranoid. So off we go to see the white wizard and claim his cache. On the way back through we pick this one up no fuss. Found with toniaivy and Pengus. TFTC.
Quick and easy find at WP1 just as the rain started (again). Bit of a wander to home in on GZ then a quick find where I first put my hand. Yeah!
Spent a few minutes looking for WP1 without any luck. Got muggled in the process: he thought we were inspecting the graffiti on the bridge! As more muggles kept appearing we decided to give up for today, there will be plenty more opportunities.
This made me laugh. Co ordinates so obvious when you realise. Got muggled twice by dog walkers. Luckily these containers are good to pretend your eating and the distraction of my four legged friend chasing theirs. Tftc
A quick find of both the wp and the cache this evening with all in good order. TFTC
Found wp1 quickly, the final location may nolonger be there due to earth works and flooding.
Seventh of 8 in the Upper Hutt area today. Bit of a challenge locating WP1 but we managed eventually. The final didn't take quite so long. A good little adventure.

This cache gets a favourite point too.
First time over swingbridge...wondrous views both ways. Drama at WP1 as TreMichLan found the remants of a recent burgulary stashed there. Business done it was trip to the Upper Hutt Police to hand in the booty: A full unused Business Cheque Book. Top spot. TFTC

Find #1381. Spent a few hours cycling the Hutt River trail from Petone on a sunny day with a southerly tail wind. Being a week day, there weren’t too many people around so had the chance to take a good look. Something about the clue for stage 1 stuck in my mind, the light switched on and hey presto, there was the answer. Didn’t go for the final straight away but cycled on up the trail towards Birchville, then came back down the true left side of the river trail to locate the cache. SL TFTC.
Found on my 3rd visit (previous two frightened off by continuous muggles), and a helpful hint from Oresom4some. Still not particularly easy for us in the dark ... but brought a smile to my face when we finally found WP1. Quick & easy after that.

What an amazing bridge to have in your backyard. Muggle rich zone though. Mr Orsome4some tried to act as a decoy by pretending to admire the view while the rest of us hunted for WP1 but it was difficult to hunt and not be detected, even mid-morning on a Monday.

Took a few minutes to track down both WP and final.
Very nice bridge and well patronised by walkers and cyclists.

#3337. Given where we parked, it was Bridge from Totara. Good to try the bridge out. TFTC.
This one requires a little work, you may think you're backtracking, but you'll be on the right track, a little "gardening" may be required. TFTC.

The bridge was busy with bike riders and walkers and had to wait.

Took us 2 visits as assumed "2 stage Multi" meant 2 stages and then final so was looking for another WP clue!! Doh!! TFTC
Found while cache hunting with richargr and bkj97. Find 23 of 34 for the day for me. T4TCSL While waiting for muggles to disperse there was a chance to gather more blackberries.
Know the bridge well as we have brought students here for earthquake studies for many years. No quakes today but lots of muggles. Triggered a LCD as the cache was replaced and had to do a quick defuse.(however it would have helped for night finds as the box started to glow) TFTCSL
Found wp1 yesterday (quickly due to the hint, nice one) and logged the cache today. Not so easy with muggles appearing from all sides

Making the most of the holiday season to get to know the Hutt region. Found this cache as part of our Hutt journey.
Find was straightforward, cache was found to be in order, rehidden safely, as found, after signing the log. No swaps.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

First find for 2011 while out completing the cache at the top by Cannon's Trig. TFTC
A nice wee multi, and younger EU crew members enjoyed the bridge crossing. Swapped TB's. TFTC
Well this was a challenge today, fortunately there were a few gaps in the "traffic" so we were able to find both in the end without compromising the cache, just took us a bit longer than if no-one was around. Harry the geodog made a good decoy too. TFTC

5135 Enjoyed our excursion across the fancy foot bridge over the raging Hutt River. Nice multi, TFTC.
In my case, this is the Bridge from Totara. Earlier efforts were thwarted by muggles but I had no problem today. Nice work, Petriez.
Tried to do this one on Friday night in the rain. It was still a bit of a struggle in the daytime, what a cool bridge TFTC
ok ok so we didnt find the waypoint and went straight to the cache...and easy as far too wet for anything else here today.
Lovely cache.. The first WP took a little time to find.. But after that the rest was a breeze,, Lovely bridge and awesome view of the river today.. Thanks for the cache..
Nice bridge. All quiet here today making it a fairly quick affair to find WP1 and then the final.

An interesting and unusual bridge design. The waypoint didn't take too long to find, and the cache was then a quick easy find. TFTC
Love the first waypoint. Very neat.
After we got that, the final cache was easy.

Arrived at WP1 to discover muggle arborists were busy muggling a tree only a few meters from the WP. Decided discretion was the better part of valour and searching was not wise. Tried a little cacher's intuition to see if I could find GZ, and sure enough, there is was, in the first place I looked.
Nice to see a cache here, as I had noticed and admired the bridge on a previous visit to the park while doing other caches.

A rather fun multi. Enjoyed hunting for WP1 and then we were off to the final. On the way we bumped into a friend so stopped for a wee chat! Found final without any problems. TFTC.
[275] Finally tracked this one down - Timing is all essential due to the soccer ground nearby and many muggles walking their dogs! Had contemplated putting a cache here myself and liked Petriez's methodology on this one Well done and thanks for the fun hunt!
It was raining quite steadily when I arrived and I couldn't decide whether to do the cache or not. In the end curiosity got the better of me. I must say despite some of the negative comments you read about the quality of the camera in the Oregon 550, it was invaluable this morning to record the co-ords for the final, when trying to write them down would have been nigh on impossible. Nice multi enjoyed doing it TNLN SL TFTC
Was passing here this morning so called in to hunt down this one. A 2-minute find at both WP1 and GZ. I like the elegant bridge architecture, there are almost no cable-stayed bridges in NZ and you see a lot of them overseas - some of them very large. Signed log, TFTC and for bringing me here.
Was in the area finishing off some work and decided that it was time to grab this cache, a quick find at WP1 after initially looking at the wrong spot. The final wasn't a issue spotted out in the open and hide it back better. Dropped off Kiwi OE TB for a visit. TFTC TNSL (1935)
