Thanks to the tenacious skills of Mrs Gumby, we unearthed this cache in its new location. New Co-ords are: S 14 40.938 E 117 51.700. After the climb we felt we deserved the reward whether the cache was there or not but actually finding it was a bonus.
after visiting the cache we decided to move it to another location so if it gets moved around a bit it won't be in the bush or in an unsafe spot - only trouble is we've lost the new cords so will need to track back up there again - sorry
Picked up while doing Devils slide and Waddys hut. A nice walk, particularly the karri oaks.
Found it after a good look around in the bush. Younger eyes than mine found it.
Found it after searching long time!! Lots of overgrowth! As last description but look deep amongst shrubs in front of rock there. View picture if need more help.
On me "not quite where I had planned to be caching" day, I set off along the "Nancy's Peak Loop Trail"
See what happens when you take a wrong turn in Narrikup !!
You don't find a 'power-trail', instead you end up in the Porongurups
But that was my navigational mistake.
A damn good mistake to make
I had already enjoyed the 'warm up' walk to Castle Rock and now was heading to Nancy's Place
The Porongurups are a granite wonderland
And granite is one of me favouritest rocks to walk on [^]
So off I trotted.
Upward, ever upward.
Well maybe not that far upward
But it was enough climbing, combined with the near 80 % humidity today to get me sweating [:o]
'Bout 20 minutes later I was *On top of the world Ma*
And a cooling breeze was mine to enjoy along with the views
But wait ... there was more !!
Not only do you get the steep climb up to the ridgeline,
also included, free of charge, in this cache chase,
is the scramble along the ridge line in the blazing midday sun to reach GZ
Act now and I could enjoy the cooling breeze free of charge !!
If I wasn't satisfied with the climb or views,
I could return them all free of charge minus P&P [:o]
Damn that Mount Barker TV Tower off in the distance !!
Me tooth fillings were picking up channel 84 [:o]
Back in the real world, I soon found that GZ was not a nice place to look for a cache [:o]
But I trusted the GPS.
A quality Garmin GPS
Not an I-Phone
And soon found the cache
TFTC , the views, the exercise [^]
PS: If you are having trubble finding the cache.
Walk back about 3 metres (eastward) from where the dirt track meets the granite.
Turn right and head through the shrubberies to a rock slab.
Look left and there is the cache
Hey !! After all the effort to get here ...
... it *should not* be hard to find the cache

Searched for ages, looked in all the obvious places, but couldn't come up with the goods!
It took us some time toclimb up to the cache and we were happy to be able to sign the logbook. Greetings from Holland and TFTC.
Well today wasn't the greatest to go walking up here, but the challenge was too much. Wanted to go to the next one toobut as it started to rain just after we left here Pa said it was not to be. Did I look sad? (Uh eh! Nope!) Log was damp so I inserted a new one in a new zip lock bag. TFTC TNLN SL Will award a fave just for the challenge.
Looked at the weather and decided that a walk in the Porongurup's would be a great way to spend a few hours today. There were a number of caches here that were still on our 'to do' list. We conquered Castle Rock and as it was still early enough, made our way to the 'tree in the rock' car park. We decided to do the circuit walk to Nancy's Peak starting at the Wansborough Trail. After a detour to conquer Devils Slide, we continued up the trail to the peak. Bit of an effort to get up the peak from this end, particularly after completing the previous walk. But up we went at a good steady pace enjoying the magnificent views along the way. Upon reaching the peak, the cache was located after a short search. From there, it was pretty much a long down hill climb back to the car park. We thoroughly enjoyed the circuit walk and it was well worth the effort on a lovely coolish day. Not too many others about either, so we enjoyed the serenity with just the birds for company. Thanks wefoundit for a great cache placement.
Comming from Satan's slippery slope we went for the circuit tour. Started getting hot as the sun came out - but still a cold wind blew from southern direction. Arriving on top a short rest and started to look for the container. This was quite a challenge and took ages.
Thanks for setting this cache on this top - we enjoyed it very much.

Unfortunately it was cloudy that day, but still a nice view TFTC!
Logbook was a bit wettish.

Well got to the top - did look everywhere possible. No logs for a while - clicked found it as right at GZ off the ledge really precarious. Attached photo of us up here. Wonderful spot. We did take a peak TFTH
Only three of us managed to climb to the top. My friend found it. I knew it was there. Just didnt see it. TFTH I got nice pictures!

I am so blind. I had a good search but obviously, it was not enough. I used both phone and gps too. I've been reading the logs and I wish I was up there again. The view from GZ is amazing. I would not have gone that way if not for the GPS. The others, (of course) left me and went ahead. They were perched somewhere on the top of Nancy Peak, taking photos of themselves and the surroundings. We enjoyed the whole trail. It was so good and there were so many "aaaah" moments. Must come back again one day. Good luck to the other finders and thank you wefoundit2 - Very sad to have missed it!
Found it in a tricky spot, took us between 5 and 10 minutes. Thank you TNLN. Remember to take water with you if your attempting this one.
What a magnificent view!!
We came here for our holidays and love it!

We did a detour Porongorups on our way back from Denmark to Perth. Well worth it, we did Nancy's peak walk and the Devil's slide walk, both were great and we had awsome views from the top!
"Zo zie je nog eens iets" Thanks!
"Zo zie je nog eens iets" Thanks!
oh wail…a long walk for little geo legs with no reward at the end, a bit too far from home for me to find it once they are back at school.
We were so lucky with the weather, in fact it was a bit warm, but what a great walk! We have done it a couple of times before and still love every minute of it. Found it, but got scratched looking!
Awesome views.. the geokids did so well to get to the top. Great day with The Institute
What an amazing spot and an amazing view. The little Rowstonians did very well to conquer this walk. Had a great day out with the Didize Clan.
The showers were on the way as we set out on the loop, such a lovely walk through the forest with moisture around after overnight rain. Arrived at GZ and waled right up to this one, nice container and exactly where the GPS said it would be... thanks. Really neat outlook in all directions, TFTC.
The day was starting to warm up after doing the Castle Rock hike earlier. We were the only ones there when we arrived at the peak. Amazing views all round in the bright sunshine. We had a good look for the cache at GZ particularly looking for any obvious geotrails but none were to be found.
We could hear voices approaching so we retired to the rocky summit to enjoy a bit of lunch while the muggles passed through. After a brief chat they moved on so geohubby headed back the few metres to GZ and very quickly had the cache in hand.
Always great to be able to log a 'found' after a great hike. Many thanks wefoundit2 for allowing us to do that [^][^]

This was a hard slog...36 degrees and very hot strong northerly winds...walked straight past it at first as gps went a bit crazy...all worth it...stunning views...ran into old friend nancy....first to find this cache in 2013...
What a nice hike and stunning views from cache location. I am glad we came up there. TFTC
We did this Peak and then carried onto the Devil's Slide. A great circuit and fabulous views all around. Left TB. TFTC.
Gotcha !!! Thankfully Park staff have just cleared the vegetation a liottle each side of the track. Made progress a breeze. TFTC
After a DNF at Devils Slide I made my way up and over to this one.
Quick find then back to the car to do Castle Rock.

We didn't set out to do this walk, but weather was hold off and we couldn't resist going for the cache.
There are great views and proud of the younger members for completing the walk without complaining...that much Dropped geocoin that we picked up on our last trip to France, hope it enjoys the view. TFTC

Found while doing the Nancy Peak circuit walk, cache was right on target at GZ. Despite it being a very hazy day (the Stirlings were barely visible today), still spectacular views from up here at 650m elevation, especially of the Devil's Slide on the other side of The Pass. A fantastic trail like this needs a few more caches (e.g. at Morgan's View, and Hayward Peak proper). Lovely place for a hike! TFTC.
Perfect motivation for the 2-5 yo team members. Nice view and nice walk. Go ccw to get the steep part uphill. In goat and keychain. Out: ball and scissors. TFTC
Just couldn't find this one much to Carson's annoyance! We were wondering whether it had been moved or if we were just having a bad day!
one hell of a walk, never thought to check the terrain, the family wanted to kill me as i had the gps and dare not tell them how far till the next cache!!!
Great hike, unfortunately it was really windy, cold and rained just before making it back to the carpark, so we couldn't really appreciate the views. TNLN TFTC.
cheers

A beautiful spot here - views for miles in every direction A great day for a walk and this was a nice little break before we headed downhill and then over to Devil's Slide. Thanks wefoundit2 - this was fun
Not that easy to find. Had lunch enjoying the views while the kids looked for it. TFTC.
I passed the ranger on the way to the cache as he was working on a new sign on the trail, so I stopped and had a chat then moved onto the cache. Sat back and had a snack before moving on to "Waddys hut", at least its all down hill from this point. Thanks for the cache.
Just the most beautiful sunny day to go and find a cache or two. Cool breezes on top. Clear views to the Southern Ocean and the windfarm. Could see the turbines turning ever so slowly. Had lunch at the cache. TFTwalk.
The Nomads have been waiting patiently to log a visit but waited until it had been found by a few others first .
WeFoundIt2, The Albany Nomads, and GR8T had a great time setting up this group of Porongurup caches.

Another great cache location and breathtaking views - kids were in their element on a cold windy and wet day! TFTC
The day started with the sun shining, a brisk breeze outside and the lure of at least two FTF’s that were still feeling lonely after nearly two weeks awaiting at the top of the magnificent Porongurup’s. Coffee made for morning tea before the walk and lunch in the bag for replenishing the energy levels after doing the loop. Spirits were high as we headed out Chester Pass Rd hoping to find the car park empty, thereby maybe assuring us of a FTF chance. Damm, a car in the car park, maybe we had been pipped at the top of the hill. Coffee downed and enjoyed, the Coasters set off chasing the most difficult of finds these days, the FTF, almost as rare as a lotto win. After the heady thrill of a FTF at “First Peak”, the second for the day seemed likely. A look of confusion between the Coasters and head scratching as we pondered; had we been beaten at the top of the range! No, just a log entry from “Albany Nomads & wefoundit2” to say they had been there when the Porongurup’s trio had been placed. Yes, yes, yes to our second FTF for the day.
Thanks for the caches at the top of the Porongurup’s, a location the Coasters had on the list but didn’t get around tuit!!! A truly great location to be enjoyed by all, whether ye be geocaching or not!
No third FTF for the day as the Coasters decided not to be greedy and leave “Satan’s Slippery Slope” for someone else to have the thrill of finding (or you could read that as too much for one day after walking the Nancy Peak loop).
