When Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were at the Moffatdale Ridge winery, the host told use that Booie used to the wine capital of the South Burnett. We are staying at a place that used to be a winery but I dont remember anyone saying there was also a cemetery. This one is definitely amazing. Did they build the road first and then just throw people off the back of the cart, or did they build the road out so that the kids could have fun playing amongst the graves? Definitely weird! tftc
These small country cemeteries are always inspiring and sad at the same time. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 09:40. A FP even before we got down from the GeoPrado. M loves cemeteries for the carved symbolism of the headstone designs and the social history from the epitaphs. Much to see here, and M could have stayed for hours. You could research the Perrett family history here. There is an unusual grave marked by a saw and a hammer with a border of horse shoes. Our thanks to Garfield69au.
Thanks for this teenager hidden in the bush. RIP all that are here. It was a bit exposed so I put it back in the hide a bit better. Tftc
Day 3 of our stay in Nanango.

What a tiny cemetary on a quiet back road. Once again we would never have seen this if not for geocaching. TFTC
On a weekend getaway with wombles and 1MinnieMoo to celebrate my 10th geocaching birthday! After locating the cache we took some time to wander through the cemetery. Thanks for the cache Garfield69au
Nyssaflutterby, 1Minniemoo and I were on a road trip from north Brisbane to Munduberra and back via Kingaroy. We had a few planned caches and some extras along the way.
Nice quick find here and then a wander through the cemetery.

11/7/21 Find #4904
Road trip day three, our final day.
Today was the day to make tracks for home, but we had a few caches we still wanted to look for around Kingaroy first.
Pulling up the car right at GZ, the cache was found quickly. We then took some time to pay our respects to those buried here.
A number of the occupants are rather young ones buried here - The tombstone of a 9 month old happened to be right by where we parked.
Thanks for the cache Garfield69au.

I like visiting all these small local cemeteries... so many pioneer families to be found.
Glad to see people still enjoying this one. As it's been a while we're going to head out here today to service the cache.
We have replaced the cache container today and put in a new log book.
Have fun!

Found it! Our first find, thank you for the adventure. The container may need replacing though. It was nice coming somewhere off the beaten track and showing the kids the cemetery.
On our way south after the QOGM event Blackall, grabbing a few caches on the way. We visited your cache at 2:41 pm Logs signed Coongoola or CG. Thanks for placing this cache Garfield69au

Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Nice little cemetery in the middle of nowhere. TFTC!
Staying at Lee farmstay And taking geokids for a bike ride. Nice quiet flat roads. Found easily all good with cache. Lovely little resting place. TFTC.
Enjoying a 2 day stopover in Kingaroy and doing some geocaching. A quick find after spotting a geocaching trick that is commonly used. This cache is a bit wrecked the lid is cracked but that would have been reported before and of course it has taken on water. Only the cover of the original log book are left there was a ripped page out of somebodies note book in the cache to serve as a temp log, but it also was wet. So I placed another logsheet in a ziplock bag. to keep it going. TFTC.
While camping in the Nanango area with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out & about finding some caches in the surrounding areas.
The poor cache has seen better days

My apologies up front for the copy 'n' paste logs...not my usual thing but the unusually high numbers found (for the Eskies) necessitated this to get the job done.
Mrs E & Kestal hit the road early this morning for a numbers run as the Eskies prepare for the next milestone...a really enjoyable day with many scenic roads travelled. We were very thankful for a reprieve in the hot weather after the scorching temps this week...some areas in the region obviously copped a battering at some stage with many branches and trees down in spots. Our thanks to all the COs for their contribution to our day...a total of 41 found!
Interesting swag left in this one...a cigarette lighter which we removed and binned.

Out today with Eskies5 as she builds her numbers towards her next big milestone. We left Toowoomba just after 6 were about 5 hours into our day when we pulled up at this one. Sadly the hide and log were very wet but we were able to sign our names. I let the cache dry out in the sun while we sorted the logging out. Looks at the headstones intrigues me when coming to little cemeteries like this. Thanks for being part of our day Garfield69au
Had no trouble finding this cache in its good hiding spot. What a lovely little country cemetery that we did enjoy visiting - this being our 4th cemetery visit recently due to geocaching! We liked this one the best due to its smallness and country place.
TFTC Garfield69au and bringing us here to see this nice little cemetery - much appreciated.

#7788 Cache Found
After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure Garfield69au
This Day in History
Friday, August 10, 1990. : The Magellan spacecraft arrives at Venus to begin mapping the planet's surface.
The Magellan spacecraft was named after the sixteenth-century Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Magellan was the first planetary spacecraft to be launched by a space shuttle when, on 4 May 1989, it was conveyed by the shuttle Atlantis from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The shuttle took Magellan into low Earth orbit, where it was released from the shuttle's cargo bay. After its launch, it arrived at Venus over a year later.
The Magellan carried an advanced imaging radar to enable it to map the surface of Venus in detail. Portions of other space projects were salvaged to produce the Magellan spacecraft: its radio dish came from Voyager and the central control system came from the Galileo project. Magellan remained in orbit around Venus for four years before it lost altitude and crashed on the planet's surface in October 1994.

Diamonjs and I have been staying in Nanango for a couple of days sight seeing and also grabbing the caches along the way today we decided a trip to Kingaroy was in order, we decide to go up one way and come back another way. TFTC
I love these type of caches, I love reading the ages and always get sad by the ages of some of the children. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
We decided to head off for a couple of days in the caravan and do some caching while our non geocaching friends were red clawing on the Bjelke Peterson Dam. We loved the rural countryside we encountered and while we were on our rounds we did maintenance as we went given that we were there at gz and sometimes it is not so easy for the owner to attend. Thanks to Garfield69au for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
Easy find. Swapped a soccer ball keyring for a little something I found in the car and stopped a little while to read the stones of the sleeping.
A nice quick find. Interesting detour and surprised to notice how many of the graves were kids. TFTC!

The hardest part of finding this cache was the road into the cache.
We ended up going down a bush track to get to GZ.
Once there I headed to GZ and found the cache in the first place I looked.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Garfield69au All good with this cache

Spending a few days up in the Kingaroy and Nanango districts and places closeby from my place in Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found, I have decided to do a generic log. To all the CO's, a big thank you for bringing us to your area and the many varied caches we found. Thank you for bringing us along the country road. TFTC
Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
Lovely little spot.
Lovely little spot.
Taking mum on a Mother's Day caching run. On our way home now just picking up the ones we pass on the way. We made this one a park and grab without even leaving the car. Pity my camera wasn't working. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Garfield69au.
Very very nearly a true park'n'grab, with me leaning out the car window to remove the covering. I decided to open the cache itself outside the car, though, in case of arachnids. The cache was in good condition, as were the graves. I quite like these little out of the way cemeteries, so thanks for bringing us here and TFTC, Garfield69au. =^.^=
This was literally a park and drive but la Kedi did look funny leaning so far out the window to achieve that status. Talk about determined! Cache safe and dry. Thanks Garfield69au.
Todays trip we moved camp & have set up at Kingaroy. All the caches we found had great co-ords & hints. The regular & large containers were packed full of swaps.
This was our first genuine drive by cache.
Thanks for placing this cache Garfield69au
