What a very interesting site to visit. Not seen a monument for an animal like this before. Cache was signed and returned as found.
Quick find here today cache is all goodOn a week long trip to Melbourne for work and to watch the AFL prelim at the MCG, I decided to drive over and make a bit if a caching trip out of it as well. Stopping to find the odd cache here and there along the way. Thanks for the cache
This is the first time we have visited a memorial for a stud bull - unique situation for us. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks tigersden for bringing us to this memorial site.
Thanks for bringing us to this rather unique location. Was nice to see that the owners of this horse had such respect for him that they honoured him in such a way. Quick find amongst the ants. The log was a little damp but doesnt require maintenance.
I lived in Beulah from 1972 through to the end of 1976. I attended the local primary school from Prep to the end of Grade 1, and my father was the Methodist minister there. I was in Beulah today for the funeral of a longtime family friend and one of my honorary aunts.
After the funeral, it was back into the car and the long trip home, with several geocaches to be found on that trip to break it up.
Seeing some of the places I remember from my early childhood was lovely.
Thank you, tigersden for this Traditional cache

We have had an interesting adventure trying to access this cache, given the muddy roads after what looks like a very good soaking.
Third attempt and we arrived no worries.
The grave looks like it’s at one of the rear entrances which would have been very grand when Floodlight was bringing in the money.
However, it’s all in a poor state now.
He certainly must have been a very special horse and stud.
The cache and log are in good condition.

I was on a road trip with sushilord heading to Bendigo for a few days and finding caches far and wide. We weren't after numbers just out of the way places and caches with lots of favourite points. We had an enjoyable and fun time, but I was stuffed by the time we got home.
Can't say I have visited the grave of a horse, very interesting.
Thanks for the cache tigersden.

JJ52 and myself had a fun and productive three days traveling to visit Bendigo and finding some caches along the way. Any excuse to stretch the car's legs.
Wow, the things you learn while out caching!

Today was Easter Sunday so we decided to spend it by going for a drive up to Sheep Hills via Minyip, grabbing the caches around the area that we haven't yet got. A total of seven we had to find plus one stage of an Adventure Lab at the Sheep Hills Silo Art. And of course Geodog Penny came with us the outing.
After visiting the Sheep Hills Silo Art and doing the caches there, we then headed for home along a back track to grab the final three caches in the area we had to get.
From the Sheep Hills Cemetery we made our way here. Cache was quickly found, then we took time to look at the grave and read the headstone before heading onto our final cache for the day.

Found with my youngest (LukeSistema) as we meandered our way from home (Ballarat) to Lake Albacutya for a weekend of geocaching fun. I love the amazing history you find on the way - this was totally unexpected! I came in from the Sheep Hills side as the other road was far too wet! Thanks for the cache.
Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. With the van in tow we didn't try and stop as we travelled.
We headed for Brim and spent 3 nights there at the lovely community camp and collected some caches in a couple of loops from there.
What an interesting find in the middle of nowhere. The road was pretty soft coming in so we flicked into 4x4. Log was very soggy so we have replaced it.

Logging cache after doing a 3000km silo and water tower art trail lots of fun
On the start of a Mallee road trip, perfect time to tackle these roads when not baking hot or mud pit slippery.
Would love to go beyond this gate and see the lifestyle of the houses. One can only wonder.
Thanks for highlighting this spot.

TFTC. We were camped at Rupanyup and decided that with the wind and showers it would be a god day to leave the Motorhome parked up and use the car to go and explore a bit further afield. We were doing the Silo Art Adventure Lab so we headed toward Sheep Hill and Brim. A great few hours 10 caches found and 1 DNF at Sheep Hill Silo.
Working our way north towards the Murray Sunset we just had to visit the fantastic SiloArt along our route....not to mention a few detours to grab the caches far and wide.
The sun is shining down on this local stud of times gone by. A great memorial for him.

The second day of our rather twisty and winding route to Mildura, with many stretch the legs stops as directed by the GPS'r!
Another bite of interesting local history.
Our thanks to 'tigersden' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Our first break for freedom since isolation began. Such a lovely day to be out driving around the district with the kiddos. Beautiful start to the long weekend and looks like many others had the same idea. Roads are packed today!! Enjoyed finding this spot and paying our respects to Floodlight! TFTC

After several false starts along gravel tracks I finally realised how to access the GZ from where I was. I am amazed that there is a grave for a horse and that it has a headstone etc., I have never seen or heard of this before. I am grateful to the CO's who suss out these locations for us mere mortals to find.

Suscoe's second day of caching in Horsham and the countryside around this region.
Another brilliant Winter's day.
Sunshine all day with a breeze from the north. The car said 17 was the top temp but it felt warmer at times.
Quiet locations for the caches that we visited and lots of fun as we wandered the back roads of this region.
Thanks to tigersden for this hide, nice to see this piece of equine history.
Sad to see the grave rusting

Grabbed this one as hevwalker, Bron and I were caching our way back to South Australia after spending the Australia Day long week-end at St. Arnaud
It was much cooler coming from Victoria as the cool change had finally arrived the night before.

We LOVED cisiting this site, but we sadly didn't find the cache today. I rang ChooknChunk as I saw they had found it and hoped they could be our PAF - it wasn't where they said they'd found it. We widened the search, but no luck today.
A great location for a cache.

Found on our way up to the Border Track for a weekend of fun, friendship and four wheel driving.
Being of the horsey set, we just had to visit this site and get this cache. Getting up here was easy enough - just nick up the road from Minyip. No issues there.
This was a truly loved horse to be given this sort of a memorial. There are many people buried in cemeteries with less than this.
After finding the cache, our next stop was the Sheep Hills silos to see their artwork. According to the map, that should have been easy too - just nick west across the dirt road leading straight from Floodlight to the silos. However with the rains earlier this week, the dirt roads around here were rather deceptively boggy. They really mean it when they say "dry weather only". Even though we had retrieval gear with us, we weren't keen on using it today, so we found our way back to the previous dirt road that looked nice and firm. But after a couple of corners, that too turned to mush. Eventually, after finding our way through what was the equivalent of a maze of dirt roads, we made it to our destination. In hindsight, I think it would have been quicker to go back to Minyip and then back up to Sheep Hills. In the dry, none of this would have been an issue. Anyway, it was lots of fun and it has since become part of the story of detouring "briefly" to visit Floodlight.

Travelling around the area from Warracknebeal where we are camped on our way to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter. Took far too long to find this cache as it was right in front of us all the time. Many thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. TNLN SL
Took the dirt road here (even though my GPS wanted me to drive around and come in from the East -which is dirt as well) and was amazed to find this at the driveway to someone's farm. It doesn't look used much now though. Took me a while to find this one, stepping in a few ants nests as I looked. But then I found it cleverly hidden out of harms way. Would definitely need help if you were in a wheelchair. TFTC and the history tigersden. Its amazing the things you find when you go places off the beaten track.
Although it was quite dry, we saw some lovely scenery, on the inland roads of Victoria.
Visited a variety of historical and interesting locations.
Cache was located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, tigersden, for us and others to find.

After all the rain of yesterday we were a bit nervous heading out into the rural areas, not being sure which roads would be 'Dry Weather Only' but we managed to find most caches without any problems a few we had to find another road in but all was achieved.
Being from WA all the history and old buildings are so much fun to see.
Thanks for your cache to feed our GeoAddiction.

Very unique cache location. This horse was obviously so good, even death didn't stop him leading the competition for another 6 years!!?? Easy find and thanks tigersden for bringing us out here on a unique tour of the area.
A interesting spot for a cache, managed to make this a quick park and grab this afternoon, thanks again tigersden for the cache and the tour of these back roads and various landmarks.
Another local spot that we didn't know existed. I like this little history lesson/tour. TFTH
well i set out tonight to find a couple of caches, leaving home (st arnaud) at 8:30pm, yes very late to be heading out, and after getting home at 1:15am with 15 finds in hand and after being questioned by the police to see what i was up to, it was quite a long night, the geo mrs loved this hide, thanks tigersden.

We were very fortunate that there wasn't a great deal of work on this weekend and we were able to sneak an extra day off so headed across to Skippy's 50th birthday event zig zagging and grabbing a few caches along the way.
As far as we can remember this only the second horse grave that we have seen and both of them are as a result of geocaching. As we pulled up here we made the comment to each other that it's been a long time since this was a working horse stud but apparently this champion didn't require green grass or tender loving care as it seemed it loved it's job so much that it kept coming back from the grave for several years to complete it's business The cache itself was a nice easy find and we have now added our name to the log.
Our thanks yet again to tigersden for the cache.

Our 1100th find. How do people find these places to hide caches in. A very unusual location. This stud farm seems a far cry from the lavish properties dotted about an hours travel from Melbourne such as Kilmore, Macedon etc. Maybe times have changed. SL TFTC
This was a little different from your run of the mill cemetery cache
With all the recent rains some of these backroads have been a bit squishy to travel along.
Fortunately this one was OK
A nice easy find in the end.
Methinks this is not the main gate to the property anymore.
