Climbed to the tree but if this was on the road side of the tree it aint there now, possible land slip in the three years since last find. Great views though.

Mmmm never assume the cache won't be there because 90% of the time it is! A short scramble got me to GZ and a quick scout around showed me the likely location for the cache and sure enough it was right there. Lovely views up here but sadly my photo doesn't do it justice. Well worth the drive up though and maybe another day when I have more time I will keep going to see where the road goes.

Been in Taupō for the weekend doing some biking. Heading home and collecting some caches on the Taupo-Napier road. Breaks up the journey nicely. This was a slight detour but well worth it. Surprised how quickly the road climbs and gives you amazing views. Searched around the tree but no joy. Widened the searched and surprised to find the cache close to the edge. Take care. A favourite from us.

Qwik scramble up the hill & cache soon found, great way to finish our day-tftc

A short scramble up the hill and we were at GZ. Went round and round in circles looking for the cache. Finally found in a spot we had previously checked. Large clumps of debris/foliage had fallen on it obscuring it from view.

Found it after a bit of searching. Thanks for putting this one out for us to find.

Having found the other cache by the same CO down the road we popped up to this one. Once we had clambered up we searched and nothing found at GZ. A wider search and like the last one this was found out in the open a little further from GZ. Log signed and placed back nearer hint object.
We did feel the DT should probably be higher than the other or swapped for each as this was harder to reach
Views amazing from here though and gets a fav for that
Also this hasn't been for over a year so qualifies as a resuscitator

Ssoooo hot needed to go get this one while hubby was on the mountain bike park, got some great photos for my page. Bag needs replacing, I would have left more swag but the container is very damp. Tftc loved the climb and the view. Dropped tb

The rain started not long after we left home, but we decided to continue here anyway. unfortunately the clouds were low, and it was grey all around, so perhaps not the spectacular view it sometimes is. Still, I love a good hill cache, so this was fun. Thanks for bringing me here.

Man oh man, I drew the short straw and was the one who climbed the slope to the trees... the grass was very wet and came up to my thighs so by the time I got up there I was soaked and then I made a rapid descent... T4tc

A Quick trip over to the Bay while Mrs Dragon was at work today to see what I could possibly find before heading back tonight.
has made for a long but memorable day

10.30: On the way from Napier to Gisborne, and as we mostly do not in the straight line but taking some detours through the back country instead. The location of the cache offers a wonderful view. Good coordinates made it a quick find. We watched another person searching the area after completing our log but it was not recognizable whether it was a geocacher or not. Now looking at the log and further to the profile we know: GRAHAM 7243 was here!

Weather: clouds, 20°C;
Wheelchair: no, steep slope;
State: wet and dirty, we tried to dry and clean as good as possible.

IN & OUT: nothing.

Found this one easily, the Photo I took would have been great but it was really overcast and is not worth logging. It just wouldn't do the view justice. Although the cache was sealed and in the wrapper it was still a little wet inside, and the log book was damp also.

We stopped at a safe place in the soon found ourselves scrambling up the side of the hill towards GZ, after a few slips and slides we arrived safe and the hunt was on. Before long Gaz hand the cache in hand

Diverted to here early this afternoon on the way to Napier. Cache was an easy find, it was sitting out in the open. The contents of the cache were pretty wet although the logbook was OK. Signed log and took geocaching DVD so that I could dry it out and prevent any deterioration. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to a spot with such a splendid view!

11.10am. Have travelled through the Esk Valley many times but never ventured off the main road up here. Great view very much as you would see the valley from an aeroplane! Must have rained in the night or been up in the clouds here as the long grass was very wet - shoes and trousers got saturated! Once I read the clue carefully I was onto it rapidly. Cache in good shape though items felt a little damp .Left a TB; Took the CD for a listen in the car.

What a fantastic view, after finding the cache I sat on the grass for a few minutes, taking in the panoramic vista TNLN TFTC

It was a nice day today so I decided I could nip and get this one during my lunch time. Found the cache in about 10 seconds once at the tree so had about 10 minutes to enjoy the view while having my lunch. So tranquil, hardly a sound, it's a pity more people don't take time out of their day to enjoy such natural pleasures. Grabbed a couple of coins and noticed that the cache seems to have been adopted by a guardian of the netherworld! TFTC
