In recent months we have become interested in looking for and finding archived caches. As we travel around I check to see if there are any likely candidates that might still be in place and findable.
We decided to have a look for this one, which was exactly where the coordinates suggested it would be. It is still in fantastic condition. It is such a shame that this one has been archived as the sculpture is something everyone should stop and take a bit of time to appreciate = it is simply fantastic. The artist certainly has talent.
Anyway thank you for placing this cache so that we would be lucky enough to come and see this art, and of course thank you for the smiley

Easy night-time grab on way past to pick up the Wigo. Had my hat on to reach the GZ, not getting scalped here. Found the con not hidden and some muppet had shoved the log down to the bottom of the con and punchered the bag with the pencil so after the bags were changed, I removed the sharp object and rolled the log together and rehid the cache. **BYOP** Thanks for the cache Onslow Fisherman
Gps out slightly, yes took me & BF (Trish)max (dog) 15 mins had to stand back and think " were would I put it" but it wasn't there until BF signaled out Got it! Max wasn't much help he just does what dogs do! Tftc
Quick find on a beautiful day. Not a person in sight, but plenty of vehicles.
Quickly found. A great work of art, would love to stay longer in Roxburgh, but must keep trucking!
Today was another day of driving and caching in New Zealand. The scenery was magnificent we drove from Wanaka to Queenstown to Owaka.

TFTC!My daughter Nunika and I found it in a lovely and very interesting rest area!
Really great piece of artwork we likely would have missed if not for the cache. Thanks!
After two hours of driving in the rain from Omarama to Dunedin, there was a brief pause in the weather to grab this cache.
Heading back to Dunedin and 2nd time looking for this one. Once in the right place it was a quick find. TFTC
Just about to give up but a last wander round and there it was. Gps all over the place
A quick find after visiting the Roxburgh pumpkin festival. This was our 500th find! TFTC.
Second stab. Should've worn my cap. Not so subtle plunge at GL to the curious hide feature at GZ. SL TFTC Had no extra bag and wrapped up log with the ripped bag as best I could against the conditions.
After lunch in the park it was a nice strode down for this cache. Great site who we have never noticed before so well worth a stop and look.
Lunch Stop and time for another Cache, thanks to P&VEE for letting us in on this one. Good information of the area
Stopped on my way though to get a pie (mince and cheese of course) and went for a wander to get this. GPS had me in the right place and I quickly spotted the tell-tale sign of the hide. TFTC.
After cycling the Roxburgh Gorge Trail and after a good dinner it was off to find a few cache in town.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Beautiful sculpture and a great spot for the little cacher to stretch his legs. Thanks
Greetings from Canada. What A very interesting sculpture. As for gz, took a few minutes to figure it out but did find it in the end. We just hope the branches survive future geocachers. Cheers.
I really enjoyed this piece of artwork - thanks for pointing it out. Log full so I added another notebook page. TFTC #7603

Last one for this visit. The art work is quite amazing and has so much in it. You can pour over it for ages and find little hidden mysteries in it.....I hope to include some photos but for some reason. They are not down loading from my cell photo to my tablet...... some do AMD some don't???
thank you for bringing me to this little reserve. And it rocky out crop above it. Lovely.

Found with haydn seek while visiting. Great park, and very interesting sculpture. Thanks from bringing us here.
Wow, how cool is the feature next to GZ, going to just have to give your cache a fav for bring us here! talk about the most original town celebration feature! And the cace was nice and cosy tucked away under its fur coat. Log is totally full - signd the side.
We’re here from the UK on the trip of a lifetime with Geocaching as one of the ‘must do’ elements of the trip.
What a fabulous sculpture; thanks to the cache owner for making us stop here. This is what Geocaching is all about, making sure cachers don’t miss out on sights and experiences.

Cool area, GPS out had me up bank looking. Got it on way back to car. They are always in the last place you look thanks
A tricky find due to interference on the GPS, but we made the find in the end. TFTC Onslow Fisherman!!
Heading back to Dunedin after a few days in Queenstown I decided to grab a few caches on route.
Took me a while to find this one because GPS jumped a bit and I ended up searching in nicer areas.
Got scratched and covered by the branches and had to use the gps to extend my arm length to get this one.
I suppose no muggles will accidently stumble onto this one but would suggest to HookedNZ to consider moving it.

On my way from Dunedin to Queenstown I was happy to make some cool finds today
(Allthough there are quite a few "dead caches" along the route! [xx(])
Thanks to the owners for hiding and maintaining the the "living" caches that I was able to find today [^] [^] - and cheers from Germany!

16.30: Indeed, Roxburgh is a nice little town. We stopped here for coffee on our way back from the Old Man Rock. Due to the bad weather there was no need to care of muggles. The challenging part was more or less to cope with the difference between GPS and real life. But by looking sharp we made it in the end. The sculpture is nice and unique, displays all the families of the area on the back (which interesting to read even for tourists from quite far away) and definitely worth a visit.
Weather: overcast, drizzle, 15°C;
Wheelchair: no problem;
State: all good.
Thank you for showing us this place!

The sculpture was very good. Unfortunately I did not read the clue properly so took a little time to find it. TFTC
Very hot day. Found on the way back from a premium weekend in wanaka. Found with grolivkesny and a wee crew
#979 - There were no muggles in the area, so we made a walk into the green - deep into the green... TFTC.
Found after short search in wrong place, then paying closer attention to GPS and going straight to cache. Cool sculpture. TFTC.
Have no idea why we didn't find this last time. Maybe we just couldn't concentrate as we were on the way to Dunedin last time. Love the art work.
This was our second look but didn't have much time on either occasion. I was hopping for a better look today but there were too many people around. We might not have been in the right place, but we couldn't find the cache. The most obvious spot looks as if it might have been pulled apart. Lovely area and amazing piece of art work. TFTC even though we didn't find it this visit to Central Otago
