Sadly we couldn't find this one, my son was very excited to find the ammo box. Maybe another time
Found with 1minniemoo and saintsmadhouse today on an outing to turn these greenies into smilies. After discussing this adventure for the last month or so, we had decided that today was going to be the day....and that was about as much planning as had been completed prior to meeting up in a semi central location. From there, we had a more solid plan at least until lunch. It was a great day and I got home roughly 13 hours after I left :> We have plans for our next adventure but no dates - we'll get there :>
29/10/2022 Find #5585
It was a Girls’ caching antics day today, and although we didn’t have a KBreeAHH with us, SaintsMadHouse, Cosmonaut97 and I did have Signal the Frog standing in for her, and fully intended on a day of fun and frivolities.
The GPS circumnavigated where we needed to be today, meaning we basically did a wide circle around until we got to our GZ, where we found nothing to suit the hint. Widening the search and ignoring the now defunct hint, we made our find.
The poor container has seen better days but everything inside is dry.
Thanks for the cache fire_boy72.

A quick stop on our way from the rat race. Cache has seen better days, understandably after 12 years. Log was damp but still signable. We used our stamp, stretched our legs and got back on the road. TFTC
An interesting cemetery location. This was one of the final stops of my long day today. My initial search wasn't too successful, and I soon discovered that the hint was no longer applicable. Taking a wider search, I was then able to spot the cache. Alas, the cache container and logbook weren't in the best of shape, and showing its age. Thanks fire_boy72 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, I joined E_Smiley with our plan to hike at Crows Nest National Park, targeting a few Q100 oldies that included Perseverance Pays No 1 and 2.
We had arranged to meet at Toogoolawah, and I elected to take the drive north of Lake Wivenhoe via Wivenhoe Outlook and Red Cedar. We took a few stops at the small cluster of geocaches north of Lake Perseverance that took longer than I had anticipated, and so we eventually arrived at Crows Nest National Park for our walk. The river and pools were great, but I hadn't anticipated the mapped track to essentially be non-existent, so it was a much tougher slog than I had thought. If that challenge wasn't tough enough, we thought we had just enough time to take a drive south to another Crows Nest National Park section, where we then hiked up to Perseverance Pays No 1. A friendly walk along fire tracks, but the last scramble section was challenging, but the views were terrific. We made it back to Toogoolawah well after our planned end time, but it was a fantastic day nevertheless.

After a DNF at our last stop, we were hopeful of finding this one. Sadly there seems to have been a clean up at GZ and the cache and the cover are now gonski
Not sure where else to look. What a beautiful day. I will return as I travel up this way a couple of times a year
Recent tree clearing has moved the cache. ‘Under the cement’ no longer applies. It remains reasonably close to its location on the map.
2nd find for the day dropped a travel bug off to continue his journeys good luck little guy
Final cache of the day for our first attempt at geocaching. A good one to end with.
Found m, always amazing going through these places and seeing the history of our past. TFTC
Heading to Toowoomba for the day. This one has been in the outer ring of my 1000 unfound from home. Not anymore as it is now found
Thank you for hiding this geocache fire_boy72

What a long and varied history this little piece of land has... I reference Siemons House in my Ipswich AL so I was quite excited to find the resting place of some of the family...
The find here was quick and easy... but I do enjoy a good cemetery cache... and the German pioneers certainly make this an interesting place to stop... tftc...

Day thirteen of my outback Queensland trip and the girls have asked me to come home, so I’m cutting the trip short by a couple of days. It has been fun but I still have a couple of must does on my list. The two oldies in this area are a must do, so with one being a short drive in and the other a bit of a walk around to get the plan today is to complete these two and then grab a few I missed on the way out. Still continuing my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day.
On my way home I went to grab a few that I missed on the way out, this was one of those. It was an easy find and with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was on to the next. All good with this cache, thank you for placing it here.

Big random adventure today. Started in Beaudesert, Harrisville, Peak Crossing, Waloon, Helidon, Murphys Creek, Mount Kynoch, Toowoomba for lunch, Cambooya, Warwick, Killarney, Boonah then Beaudesert. 450 kilometres, 13 hours of driving, many memories and an absolute delight.
This was cache #4 of a total 10. After driving down Raysource Road (seriously who names a street that, the resident would be forever spelling the street name. Parked up in we went, Mrs Rogersclan got distracted by the plaques, and I went straight for the cache. Unfortunately it was out in the open which amazed me that it's last this long.
Cache is still in good condition, so we made our mark, hid it as best we could and off we went, racing these storm clouds.
Thanks for the cache fire_boy72

So today I pick south of the city. And then west of the city. I need some caches out that way, for the 360 from home challenge.
Grannysmith1947 came along for the ride today.
We found 26 caches today. There where one letterbox, multi, 2 mystery and 22 Traditional.
Sorry for the generic log
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. fire_boy72 TFTC *542* streak. *3258* Finds

With find #7 today, was enlightening with a scout around the graves to see how old some of them are. With Taneal1989
first geocache find! wandered around for a little while looking at all of the gravestones. such an interesting and historical location ♡
I didn’t even know this was here nice and tucked away. Left some fairy dust. Thank you for bringing us here all is good with cache
