Out and about today targeting some D/T's that I am after as well as some much unloved caches, and while in the area, others nearby.TFTC SL
A walk in the park with a stranger muggle skedaddling ahead in a very odd manner. A beautiful day with ducks and their spoons eating quietly at waters edge. Lots of steps forward and a few ant nests contended with and soon the cache was in hand. No problem with the coordinates and a suitably appropriate hide for the name. TYFTC SL TN LN
Finally, yay. Took the grandson. Thought if nothing else will have a good walk. Followed the reflectors. Took a detour to grab another Trad for grandson. On the way back, we were hunting for clues, divide and conquer. Mr Unssys soon came up with the goods. Thanks Tiedyesmileys and MCKee clan for maintenance of this cache
Very exciting experience. I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night.
Some of the bridges were flooded but could be detoured. Some of the reflectors on the bush have fallen off, so use the description in the text.
The final location is close by and should be completed at the same time.

Followed the trail and found where the cache is suppose to be but the cache was not there. Will be having a look again in the morning, but may be stolen
Our first night time cache!!
We found it in two sessions. The first day we came in the evening with our torches (kids were super excited). We found the capsule with co-ordinates but not the cache itself.
A few days later we came back for a day time search and found the cache!
Excellent cache and good fun!!!

Found at 17:50. Yes, I found it in daylight, but that made for a fun challenge. Is it safe to walk in this park at night? Who knows what strange creatures you might encounter.
Daylight slowed me down a bit, and I did lose the trail once. It also took a while to realise I was looking for the clue, but then immediately spotted it. Great TDS cache as usual.

Also, Amanda says, “I almost died tonight but it’s ok because we are listening to Midnight (Willow Tree) and I’m sweaty Betty! Lastly, can I get a t-shirt that says, ‘I survived geocaching”

So happy to have done this now the maintenance has been done. Well worth the time to get out (must be at night with a decent torch) and complete this one. Warning though there was a lot of bitey ants at the cache zone. Recommend moving fast. Tyftc. Jones Family
This morning I decided to head north and collect a few caches around Salisbury/paralowie area. Went for a nice walk around the wetlands collect the few caches in the area.
I started this multi back in 2018 but due to the markers being impossible to find I couldn’t complete it. After seeking help sometime in the 2 years I returned to finish this one today.
Arrived at GZ and soon spotted a likely hide and sure enough it was the cache. A lot of bugs and that live with the cache but the cache is all good.

Only found two reflectors at very start and could not find any more at all followed path through to other side still no reflectors at all maybe my wires were crossed or reflectors have been removed
Found. Wow that was tough. Reflectors simply need work. Huge gaps in the trail and some reflectors have lost their reflective ness.
Funny how the last person to sign log was Nataliec1234 not the person who last claimed a find.
Anyway, got there in the end.

We've spent the last week-and-a-half slowly road tripping from Hobart, along the Great Ocean Road, to Adelaide.
Along the way, we attempted (and barely succeeded in finding) our first night cache in Anglesea ("Fairyland for Kidz at Night", GC6T6BE). We were woefully unprepared that time, having assumed that our iPhones in "torch" mode would be sufficient (hint to night cache newbies - they're **definitely** not). As such, we decided we'd purchase a decent torch in Adelaide, and try another to get a feel for how night caching *should* be done.
We found the first couple of reflectors for this cache quite easily, before hitting a dead end. A slight backtrack got us back on course for a good few hundred metres, before we lost the trail again. This time, no matter how much backtracking or poking about we did, we simply couldn't find the trail.
Reading some of the previous logs, we elected to keep following the current path, hoping we'd pick up the trail. Sure enough, several hundred metres later, we were happy to see the merry glint of a reflector shining at us from beside the path.
A short while later, we were once again stumped. The path seemed to have gone cold for the third time. Then, after adjusting our aim a little, we realised we'd actually found the bush with the many branches!
Finally, we were on the track to the final location of the cache! Heading off to the cache's coordinates, we found that we were being repeatedly directed to a fairly thick clump of bushes. No amount of poking in, around, or under the bushes revealed any sign of the cache, resulting in a good 15 minutes of frustration.
Resolved to not come so far without finding the cache, we elected to approach the problem from a different angle, and stumbled across the cache mere seconds later.
After quite an adventure, we finally managed to get the log signed, exchange a little SWAG, and drop off a TB.
TFTC, and for the adventure!

Found with Malco!, Csaba! and SupaOrange. Walking in the dark is sooooo much fun. Turtle Out.
Found with Malco!, Csaba! and SupaTurtle. Set off with the right gear and had a lot of laughs along the way. Tra La Laaa.
I'm really enjoying the night caching. Found with Malco!, SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. A couple of hiccups along the way but after some persistence Malco! made the final cache find. Thnaks
Teamed up with Csaba!, SupaOrange & SupaTurtle.
We got off to a good start and quickly followed the alien trail. But after a few easy discoveries, the trail went cold. Maybe we were getting our wires crossed. After exhausting all the possible areas, we decided just to follow the path we were on and hope we found some more clues. After a couple of hundred metres, we again found alien evidence, and this time it led us down to the bush where the hidden alien gave us further info. With a bit of unnecessary bush bashing, and four pairs of eyes, we spotted the gleam of the shiny UFO and its treasure trove.
We all had a great time - Thanks for the cache, McKee Clan

Tried this one in the early evening. The strong torch helped us find many steps in the multi, but not enough to find the cache ..... we'll try another time. It's fantastic so far. Looking forward to finding the end.
Found with hevwalker!!!!! The cache is in excellent condition and well stocked!! Thanks for the hide!!
Found with CPwanderer...it's been a long day...cache all good...
Thanks McKee Clan

It has been quite a long time since we have had the opportunity to do a night cache, and this one was certainly worth the wait. We were fortunate tonight as the aliens had decided to visit.
Hanging onto Dennis securely just in case one of the aliens decided that they may take us with them and I certainly did not want to go by myself, we hunted throughout the night to find the hidden UFO. Thank you for such a fun time.

a return visit with the kids tonight just as much fun as the first time contents all dry lots swag wet lands seem very dry but wow the trees have grown lots since last visit nice walk by torch light TFTC
What a great day/night adventure. Left home at 3.30 p.m and got back home at 5.00 a.m. the next day. In between visited a plethora of caches, an event and watched a total eclipse. Certainly a once in a blue moon adventure. Oh yeah, there was one of them too. [:o)]
The first part started with me picking up Anymules after work and caching our way out to pick up Mrs. SA Sewer Rats. [8)] That done we cached our way to pick up Black Adders. Now it was time to cache our way to the event. [8)]
Time for a walk around the Kaurna Park Wetlands. Stopping and collecting caches as we went of course.
Close encounters of the flora kind for me. As Anymules approached for the trunk side he suggested I come from the closest spot. I started and was soon choking on blossom from the impenetrable foliage. [B)] [B)] As I recovered once again Anymules made th find. That is three in a row. Am I losing my mojo.

I’m not having much luck with this one. I think I’m making good progress but just can’t seem to get to the end.
Tried again with brighter tourch lost the trail for a while could be due to some work in the park but picked it up again and got to 2nd spot went to the final spot had no luck finding space ship but might try in day light
Used ph to put coordinate into and found cache during the day finally found after a few attempts. Put into handheld gps and took us 2km away. Mystery solved
What an awesome multi and what a beaut night for a walk. Found with the help of SootCache & NuttCache. TFTC!
Came back for the night one,
with Purrfect Di, muggle Alex, and Sebastbat.
A soggy wander revealed an abduction in progress
where we saved a bovine from further probing!

Found it... best adventure at night... kaleb ally kerrie nick bottroff. With d40 clan
Awesome night for a walk in the bush was a lot of fun spotting the spiders all over the place.
spent a few hours at night searching for the cache after finding the creature. couldn't find it at night, so we came back the next morning had a good lool around but still could not find it
After catching up with friends for a late dinner and a long movie... we thought it was a nice calm, clear night to finally give this a go before heading home :c) With our head-lights, we wondered thought the bush, following the reflective scrapes on the trees and bushes. At one point, we were unsure which way to go... but soon realised the correct direction. Zig zagging further into the bush... we soon came across the creature... a friendly creature... who guided us to their hidden UFO. There were many strange objects inside and a visitors log book to sign. What a wonderful night adventure :c) TFTC TiedyeSmileys and McKee Clan!!
Had a great night walk with kids but final gps coords were scetchy on phone..went back in morning and found
Awesome walk with the kids. What fun. Couldn't find the prize but have promised them we will come back to look. Thanks heaps. But lucky I had the kids as they were better at seeing the alien substances than I was!
This cache had us on an adventure! We lost sight of the glow and wandered for a bit before recovering the glow and working our way to the final! Longest night cache walk we have been on, but great fun nonetheless! Tftc!!!!
We decided to brave the weather and attempt this cache tonight. Was a cool 2 degrees but we were dressed well.
Headed off and the first lot of alien slime was seen quickly. We raced off in excitement!
Just before the second bridge we lost the trail and had to double back to relocate the path off in a different direction. This threw us a little but we eventually ended up on the right track.
Found the bush and eventually got the little bugger in our hands!
Thanks for an exciting and good length night cache! Fave point well earned!

Went out at last night (22/4/15) with team_kilosierra (mum and dad) and almost gave up as it seemed we were lost, but we stumbled upon the waypoint for ground zero, by that time it was way past my bedtime (im only 5) so we headed home with mum and dad promising we will come back. So this morning while dad went to work mum and I came back to have a look for it and I found it!! I liked the design of the cache and the glowing cluster we saw on the night we first went out.

We went out last night with Amazing-Zaliea (geodaughter) to find this cache (22/4/15) but got a bit lost. As we were heading back we found the track again and followed it to a glowing cluster, where we found the waypoint. 1 out the team went with Amazing-Zaliea this morning to find the cache with success. There were a few muggles about so we practised stealth mode and also pretend we were looking for birds and bugs. Enjoyed this adventure thanks.

a classic container for the way point has been done, two containers for the final coordinates to assist those that follow the tacks. the trail still looks good
It's not often you find a night cache in broad daylight, but I managed it while cleaning up during the nearby CITO event. It looked like rubbish, but it wasn't. Good camo. TFTC.
Geo son and i got so far and it was like the alien track just disappeared, we looked in and around everywhere we thought possible but came up empty handed with no more ideas. We will read all logs and come back another night
after an impulsive idea to do a night cache i met up with cassie and we stubbled around in the wet and dark following the aliens but it appeared a vital part was submerged after some much apreciated help from a previous finder cassie and my own frozen feet led us to GZ i must say one of the most interesting and frozen finds so far ill be coming back in drier weather with josh TFTC a favourite point from me despite being an icypole
Some last minute organising and with Trailblazer Venturers had a great night wandering the Park (so different in the dark and with all this grass!). We got a bit worried when the glowing alien tell-tales seemed to disappear on the track but persisted a bit further and we were away again.
Near GZ we found the tall plant and glowing cluster, with a quick call to the CO and got the missing final coords and what a final! Zoe made the find of the cool-looking but overgrown UFO and looking at the logbook we think we're the FTF it properly since last years maintenance!
Thanks for a Heaps Good cache and definite favourite from us! Cheers 'scargoes (P)

Out and about today with Ben7726 we found a few caches through a couple of areas, we spotted the tacks during the daylight hours and soon found GZ, we found a card in spot and a empty cache at the base of the tree, we signed the card and dropped that in the cache. TFTC
Followed the trail , got near the end and some one has trashed it . Don't even know where to leave it . What a shame
Maintenence someone had trashed it fun one to look for untill the end with no suprise
New tacks out today and a slight detour added to the trail to make it more interesting. Basically a new trail for those that have done it before. All good to go. Oh and a surprise when you find the cache a family of mice have made a nest with babies right next to the cache final. they are still young babies but the kids found them fascinating. Just adds to the fun. good luck and happy caching
The family and I were out on a night time caching hunt and we thought we would finish up the night with a night time cache.
We had to jump the fence as the car park was closed but it was no drama and soon we found the seat where we had our first encounter of the night. It was an encounter of the eight legged kind, and it was the biggest spider i has ever seen and it was sitting on the bench. We found the first set of eyes and made in the direction, we went on a crazy night time walk and eventually came to the end of the eyes we found the cache and were a little disappointed at first, but as i went to signed the log i noticed it was a little thin. I was so excited when i made the find it was so cool, clever and just plain awesome.
Cheers Mckee Clan.

Found last night the first part was the easy bit but the last bit took us about an hour to find the cache I don't know if it was lack of effort or lack of light but it was very rewarding in the end well done to a great cache
ready to go, please re camo as much as you can, the bush isn't as bushy as it used to be. thank you.
Thanks for the cache. This is a new joint account for both afitzger88 and Kareng097.
Found the spaceship but there is no cache and log, it appears to have been muggled. Was going to drop a trackable but not this time
Found with help from Angela&Dewayne with the first section as I only had the daylight to try for this cache.TFTC

Absolutely amazing!
Let me tell you a story...
This is probably the closest cache from our house. For the last few years we have mainly done caching while travelling interstate, never had time to do it while at home. Recently we started doing a few caches every weekend. Unfortunately the old data on our GPS resulted in many trips to non-existent caches. (20% success on 2 weekends)
Second part of the story: it would be pretty correct to say that we know (correction: we thought we knew) the park inside out. For five years we have been there every day. Sometimes more than once. We have been through the park in all kinds of weather and at all times (day and night).
A couple of weeks ago for the first time it was not a 'ninja' mission but we had torches while walking at night. At one point we saw something that we had never encountered before. We found it amusing. We knew that something was going on, but made no connection to caching.
In an unrelated move, I read the story and the description of this cache and suddenly a light-bulb moment happened. We had to do it. Tonight was the night. Great idea, loved the story - Thanks a lot. The best cache so far and it's so close to home!!!
We left a butterfly and a ladybug - hope the aliens like them.

Ah.... finally we found ourselves in our element after an unsuccessful night of caching. Although it wasn't completely dark when we started, the UFOs were glinting brightly (loving this 100 lumen headtorch). Wandered through the dry swamp and on and on... great night for a walk. Found the the penultimate spot with ease and then spotted a likely visitor at the final coords. Lovely execution for a night cache, definitely one of our favourites.
all good to go now.'
WP1 was missing and has been replaced with a camo small. very appropriate for the area.
cross fingers will be muggle free now.
also the final WP is all good checked that too.

We found Yoda a few months ago but got scared. Today we traces our steps to the bush Yoda was under but he's gone... Muggled?
Close Encounters of the night kind was transferred from TiedyeSmileys to user McKee Clan
All back in place and please ensure the final is well hidden, especially in summer when the coverage is a little lighter. Still is a regular container well cammoed with the traditional TiedyeSmileys twist. Uable to locate original anywhere near by. All good to go now
Unhappy to report that on my evening walk through the wetlands I witnessed a bunch of kids no older than 10 loading the cache and contents in to a school bag and running off with it. It's no longer there although space ship is. I was going to replace cache but the hiding spot is no longer secure and I fear will be robbed again if I put a new box there so I leave it for the owner to sort out
Finally got to do this one with ceradivine, dragged out partners out not wanting to do it at night with just us 2 TFTC was fun
Took my son boyfriend and cousin with me for this one. Was fun following the little flecks of light in the darkness. Took caching on the moon gc and whistle replaced with rainbow rubber and green kitty cat pendant. highly recommend this cache it really is so much fun
All still as it should be

Followed the firetacks into the night and soon Yoda did we sight.
From the swamp we did flight, into the middle of the night.
The force we did follow, until found we the alien's hollow.
The cache we did find, the log we did sign.
Then the alien did we, leave to see, the next cacher after we.

Wow great stuff after doing Night Owls this one was next on my list...
Completely enjoyed this one... Very spooky area, while shinning the torch around there were plenty of eyes running around looking at me.....
Was sitting home bored decided to do this one pretty late at night was close to seeing the new day tick over, was hoping to burn off some extra energy for a good nights sleep.
