Branch this was hidden has been broken by the heavy winds and seas we have had, wont be putting it back.
I didn't find it either, but it was fun looking all the same, so many little places to check, I checked both trees too all to no avail, I hope the tide hasn't swallowed it up!
After some foraging this cache was found, so many hide spots in this small area!
Brought the Western Springs College Orienteering Teams out for a Sustainability Challenge (a rogaine event) at Shakespeare Regional Park. (Good results too - Miss Jacksonz's team came 3rd overall, and Master Jacksonz's team came 1st). That left Mr Jacksonz with 3 hours to collect up the 9 geocaches that we hadn't yet done here.
Walked over from Te Haruhi Bay, collecting caches on the way, and was tempted out of the park by GCR0NZ Tradesmans Entrance having a trackable in it. The tide had only just turned, so wasn't sure I'd manage to get this one, but approaching from the South wasn't too bad. Spotted the likely place, though the GPS was a bit wonky under the cliff and trees. A bit of climbing and fossicking and my fingers found the cache.
Managed to get back to the beach without getting my feet wet either. TFTC.

No luck here, despite plenty of searching in nooks and cranney's...will be back for sure
After all the recent DNF's I wasn't confident of finding but found it in the second place I looked, lucky I guess. Found by feel rather than sight. As it was low tide took the opportunity to gather some cockles though disappointed with the small size.

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 15, In Auckland Region, Northshore and Shakesphere Park. I had to wade around the corner to get to this one but it was a great location and well worth the visit. It took a fair bit of finding as it is well hidden. Thanks.

Sorry about the late logging of a DNF. Only had the coordinates, and not the cache page or hint, so it may still be there, but had a good look without any muggles in the way.
Geocaching with 16 newbies for my silver Duke of Edinburgh Exploration.
Unfortunately we were a little to late to get to it when we came on the 30th, decided not to risk it as the tide was almost in.
We came back on the first and soon had it in hand.

GPS jumping all over the place, lucky that we managed to get the tides right, we were set for a long hunt but soon came up with the cache

Luckily we had the tides right and were able to get to gz. Thinking this one could take a while we started our search. Soon had the cache in hand and we were back on the hunt
This was a tricky little one to find. Luckily I had brought a friend who was more adventurous than me...!

This morning I had a chance to go over Whangaparaoa Penisula caches, checking that I had all the that I am entitled to.
I missed this one completely, didn't even look for it.
Looks like I've logged them all
at least I have 1 to find next year.
Till then happy caching every one
Thanks again 2newkiwis

Group Caching out with kiwifamily and sc1111 and they came up with the goods after a lengthy search.

Found with my friend Alex during an afternoon's caching in Shakespear Regional Park. Took a while to find this one. TFTC.
Stunning views with help from the kids it was an easy cache to find (lots of fun) lucky the tide was out!!!! TFTC
Would have been logging a DNF, but on retunring from a cache further up the beach we noticed a couple of suspicious chaps hanging about. As we passed I asked if they had found it? "Yes" came the reply & "Are you Helefant? We have been following you around all day." They still had the cache in hand, so I signed the log, while we swapped clues for caches that we had both missed, but the other had found earlier. TFTC
A cool cache in Shakespeare's Park. An adventure with "The Barrows." What a fun afternoon eh, thanks. As well bumped into some fellow Cachers who were back for a second try at finding it. Good times all around.
Hmm the former logs did put us off a wrong way of looking for the cache. No eyesight for us. After a long search I can add us to the words of Ishoot... We gave up...just one more spot to check....Yes found it. After a slippery look everywhere this is a nice reward to find it finally. Can imagine that there are a lot of DNF's. Luckily a find for us. Put the cache back as we found it and we think it should be.
Those rocks are slippery, I skated around a bit but managed to stay upright. Spent some time checking out a lot of possible spots...then I gave up..oh just one more spot to check and yes found the little sucker. Thanks for this one.
Tide was in and didnt fany getting my feet wet. Great spot will definately return.
Visible on approach...IF you happen to have someone with good eyesight with you. I completely missed it. Lucky Eyeofthemaggot was with me!

Bateyes' first find - I saw it on approach and spent an enjoyable five minutes watching her hunt for it... nice cache!
Needed my heavy duty wings here, and they worked well enough to reach this one. No wet feet thanks to the winged approach.
Easy find, could just see the cache as I was walking up to it. Timed it perfectly today to grab some tidal caches. Cheers Gav [8181]
2nd visit, we spent ages again, and still we can't spot it......obviously blind.....
Good timing with the tide at Okoromai's Edge - the pathway to the cache had only recently reopened. Had a good look all over the object at GZ and discovered the cache after a short search. Liked this one, thanks.

Not a quick find as I got distracted by what I thought was a fantastic spot for a cache.

Timed this one just right. Tide was pushing in but I managed to sneak around the corner with dry feet. Quickly figured where I needed to get too and found the cache. TFTC

#212: Had to do a bit of monkeying around, and met with success--that's good because the next cache after this one needed it!

We spent ages looking, but couldn't find it. Have to admit that we have now 3 micros in trees in the area unfound and that trees and micros have level pegging with how we feel about busstops!! now. hehehe.... For all that the spot was very nice....
Walked from the "A Small Sea Cave" cache over the slippery rocks - took a bit of searching but found it at the end.

I decided to do this one as there were a few K9s and their muggle owners at the nearby puzzle cache. Took a bit of searching in all the wrong places before putting my hands on it.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
We had quite a search for this. But just before we were ready to give up my hero found it!!! TFTC
Luckily the tide was out; failed on 1st pass so went on to do the others and tried 1 last time on the way back. Hurrah! great hide. TFTC

4905 The tide was out at Okoromai, so we decided to go for this one while in the area. Yeetrees made the grab from the edge, TFTC.
No issues here as the tide was out so managed to get to GZ without getting wet feet. A quick search with YuGeo4 and then bingo, found it, nice hide. Thanks for bring us to this scenic spot. TFTC TNLNSL (2044)
Decided to have a trip to Whangaparoa Peninsular to get a few more smilie faces on the map. We hadn't been to this bay before so thank you for showing us this secluded spot. Had to take our time getting to GZ as some muggles were close by. And yes those rocks are VERY slippery!! TFTC
2381 Nice quick find, despite one of the dogs attempting abseiling without ropes off the cliff face! Beautiful views and another podium finish for the out of towners (where are all the locals?) TFTC
Nicely hidden cache in a beautiful place, what more can we ask for. Very cool to see some new caches on the coast, only one more to go and then they are all done again. Keep them coming. TFTC
I am not normally one to chase a FTF (its been about a year)but when one pops up so close i just cant help having a go.
Knew from the spoiler photos where i was headed and luckily judging from the full moon i knew it would be about 2hrs past the high tide. The rocks were super slippery as advertised and I even tried the right spot on the first attempt but missed the grab. Spent a bit of time poking and prodding before checking the gps again and there it was.
Nice hide and this is a great bay year round. When the tide is out the cockles/clams are well worth wading outto fill your bucket
Great to see some new caches on the Coast. TFTC
