As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. No wonder why we couldn't find it!?!

05-Sep-12
As I have had 2 "did not find"s for this cache, I will disable it until I check it out.

Sounds like it has been muggled.

If so, I might try a different location, as this would be the second (or third?) time.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out - even after we utilized PAF! Looks like lecco (Log 22.8.12) has struck!

NOTE TO CO:
1. If the hint is accurate then this cache is not a Terrain 1 classification.
2. Suggest you disable this cache until it can be checked out - with a bit of cameo there are some great spots to place a cache that lecco would find.

Thanks for the hunt anyway PS Hiker .

DNF at 3:04:37 PM. Spent ages searching - just could not see this - are you sure it's a terrain of 1.0?

22-Aug-12
Another day of caching around Corlette and Salamander Bay. This is an interesting piece of architecture supplying copious quantaties of iron oxide to the bush below. Took a little systematic searching to locate this one. Would seem it could be in danger of being found by muggle lecco. Thanks again PS Hiker

Look at that, there building our house just over there

14-May-12
I should note, there was no sign of TRAVEL REX (TB). In this cache.

02-May-12
We were here to find the old cache so knew the best way in, and this cache was just about in the same place too. We took the 2 TBs but left another 2 TBs. Thanks for a good hide in a strange looking piece of artwork.

17-Apr-12
Had a nice walk up the hill in the rain and soon spotted this piece of art work and great cache name I must say, searched below decks and soon had cache in hand left two TB on board the
Titanic to continue their travels....TFTC....CoolCool

31-Mar-12
Great find, took TB wanted to drop off our TB but not enough room in cache. Will move this on soon TFTC.

24-Mar-12
Second attempt at this one, dropped off TB, TFTC PS Hiker!!

02-Mar-12
Parked at the bottom and walked up. Felt like we were on a floundering ship when we walked to the end of the titanic. TFTC PS Hiker.

04-Feb-12
This is a very nice housing estate this one, I could easily live in one of these flash houses. That titanic is a pretty interesting bit of work, I went for a walk out onto the bow and was surprised at how much movement was there. Browngang and I scratched our heads for a while on this one, can't find it, it must be here its only a terrain rating of one, couldn't possibly be down there.......... Got it in the end thanks for the cache PS Hiker.

04-Feb-12
We started off looking in all the terrain 1 spots, but they soon dried up. We read the hint and thought "hmmm this is more than a terrain 1". Blackie_71 and I were soon in terrain 2 country and before long made the find. I can't see anyone in a wheelchair ever finding this one, unless they have Go Go Gadget arms.
What is this rusting metal thing in aid off? It started out as a nice sculpture on our approach including the bits across the road, but as soon as we saw the shakey rusting hull, well that's another story.
It took a bit to navigate to this one as some of the streets weren't on the GPS. Thanks PS_Hiker
Cheers from Browngang

Clever name, great clue!

02-Feb-12
First find for the new member of the team:)

26-Jan-12
Great clues - all makes sense as soon as you get there

22-Jan-12
Like others before, I couldn't figure out how to get to GZ, so I parked below and walked. What an amazing structure! And the Opera House over the road!!!
Left TB Dwagon Fwy and some toys.

29-Dec-11
Another walk uphill for toriaz to find, thanks PS Hiker.

29-Dec-11
My GPS didn't show maps for the top of this hill, so we ended up parking below and walking up, which was obviously unnecessary, since there is a new housing estate here. The garden structure which is the subject of this cache was most impressive. The cache itself was found by Toriaz while I was still looking around. Thanks

29-Dec-11
While we did this the hard way by walking up, it wasn't too bad. The structure was unexpected, but explained the cache name. And I managed to find this one before anyone else spotted it, a rare occurance on today's trip.

Thanks Smile

Whoo hoot - our 250th cache. OH WOW! It is amazing what new subdivisions are doing now. These were quite interesting structures. Found cache and SL. Took keyring and left car. TFTC - this was a really good size especially for the area - well done!

03-Jul-11
Tftc. Nice. Easy find. Well done!

17-Jun-11
Tried not to squash too many plants on the way to the cache. What is it for I wonder? Not too many icebergs around here anyway. TFTC

17-Jun-11
I afraid I can't see the point of destroying koala habitat for these structures. Enjoyed the cache, though. Thanks.

05-May-11
Found with Bedmaker.
Great lookout! Beautiful area but lots of red backs!

05-May-11
Found with TassieGirl while here on holidays.
This is a very interesting feature.
We did the tipical king of the world thing on the end...sorry.
With that out our system the hunt was on.
Plenty of spider webs but once you get them out of the way I was able to stick my head into a spot where I could finally see the cache.
TFTC.

27-Apr-11
Gee, Google Earth still shows trees here. Pity. Anyhow, they look like they are trying to keep most of them. The art work left me wondering. Good thing there was a decent cache on it. It was useful for something. Is this art? Clear skies.

22-Apr-11
Cache number 6 for a Marathon cache hunt over the Easter weekend. A busy weekend of Madstars, great views, smelly spots, lovely beaches, high mugggle challenges, bush bashing, rock hopping, wet feet, meeting other cachers. Thanks to all the owners of the Geocachers in this area, you certainly made a great weekend away for the dkmacca team.
Cheers

We really enjoyed this find. Thanks for bringing us here. We loved the walk through the bush (saw a lizard pretending to be a snake), the lookout, the landscaping, the sculpture, the views. It's all good. TFTC

A great location. Thank you.

Reperio at 1320. Stopped by here on my last visit to NB, but was unable to search for the cache due to some young lovebirds standing on top no doubt doing their best to imitate Leo and Kate. This time there was no one around, and after a good search around the area, the nicely placed cache was found.

12-Jan-11
I said PORT around it! Arrrrr, it seems we have hit land. TFTC

04-Jan-11
Had a hunt around but couldn't see it. Maybe landscaper muggles found it??

01-Jan-11
Found while on a New Years caching run.

After a previous DNF I was determined to find this today.

I walked along the top of the deck to pinpoint where it should be.

I then looked over the edge and there is was! Lying on the ground.

Muggles had pulled it out and left it on the ground still all intact.

I signed the log and put it where I thought it should go.

The owner will need to check it at some stage. Could be some cache creep.

It appears that the muggles that always got MADSTARS cache here came back looking, they knew it would be hidden somewhere there.

The Opera House is now built across the road. Maybe the Titanic hit the Opera House?

Thanks PS Hiker great spot.

24-Nov-10
Decided to spend a beautiful day out caching at Port MADSTARS.

This is the second time I have been here for a cache and the second DNF.

Try again soon I hope.

Bruce the motorhome couldn't make it up the hill so a stomp for Mummy Stomper but no sign of Rex the TB. FOund after a short search. TFTC

#4772 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. This is certainly and interesting structure with a well hidden cache within. I bet you this one wont sink like its name.
Thanks

20-Nov-10
Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.

A very interesting structure and not a bad spot to build a house.

TNLN and thanks PS Hiker for the cache.

20-Nov-10
Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and FarmerFrentzen.

A nice spot for a cache on this interesting structure. I think The Rats almost stepped on a blue tongue as by the time I went past he was pretty excited (the lizard that is). TFTC!

17-Nov-10
Had a bit of trouble with my maps getting here, but eventually found a way. Lots of new real estate. Interesting landmark, and I spent a while looking on the wrong side, but saw it immediately I changed sides. Thanks PS Hiker.

24-Oct-10
Awesome view on a wet day.

Left a Port Arthur Isle of the dead coin. Took the US Dime.

TFTC.

Was busy driving around looking for a nearby cache (the GPSr has very different streets to what actually exist) when we pulled up to check if there was any other caches around. Turns out we were only about 15 metres from this one.

Geodaughter and I initially looked high, but soon went down below and had the cache in hand.

T - Nothing
L - TB

Lovely views up here, would love to be able to afford to build a house nearby!

TFTC!!

03-Oct-10
What a lovely spot fir a house. We didn't expect there to be so many houses near the cache! We can totally understand the name of the cache now. TFTC

12-Sep-10
This is our 4337th overall find.

Found at about 3:09 PM. Shell and I approached this from below and once we looked up the hill we realised where the GZ was and that we had been here before. It took us a bit to locate the cache but we got there in the end.

Thanks to PS Hiker for the cache.

11-Sep-10
When we got close to this one we realised that we had been here before - MADSTARS used to have a cache here called "Walk the Plank"! We got close to GZ after walking up the hill - our GPS still doesn't seem to know how to get to the road up here! There were a couple of muggles nearby with their dogs but we were hidden from their view while we searched. It took us a little while as we were misled by the previous log telling us it would be hard for the vertically challenged - but we eventually put our hands on it. TNLNSL TFTC

01-Sep-10
When the gps pointed up the hill and I was looking for titanic I though what are you on.
When I arrived I see why. I was expecting a magnic nano with all that steel to hide it on so was plesently suprised that it was a easy find.Although it may be a little harder for the verticaly challanged.

30-Aug-10
Wow what a structure and a great view from here too. This new estate not in Tom Tom, so came from below and walked up the new pathway. Now off to “Corlette Tops”.

22-Aug-10
Looked high and low, went back to the car for a mirror, looked all over again, got me tossed.

22-Aug-10
Thought we would make a day of caching at Nelsons Bay so ibar29 was dropped at our place and off we went for a fantastic day.

We can see why the titanic sunk with all the gaps in the bow. Great hide thanks

22-Aug-10
Found OK with TezzaB

Cant see how they expect it to float

21-Aug-10
I don't think this boat would go as fast as the last one I was on.

21-Aug-10
Mr S made the find on this one, despite never having seen the film "Titanic" (and vowing that he never will). There were some landscapers on a nearby hill, but they seemed busy with their work. Took Snow White, left Sid from Ice Age.

25-Jul-10

Well it is nice to have a few caches in the bay to do.... So we all enjoyed another single cache this weekend...

It was nice to see someone place another cache here. I spent too much time replacing them here. Mind you I found my last cache I placed here but without a lid.

So after signing the log I removed all the toys from my old cache and filled up the new Corlette Titanic.

Thanks for the great day out... We will get the other caches over the coming weeks...

Hopefully in that time there will be more for us to do... Our little Zander is just starting out.... 3 months old and onto his 3rd or 4th cache...

Cheers

MADSTARS

15-Jul-10
What a beautiful view! The trees may be an issue in the future when they grow though!! Loved parking so close to this one on such a windy day. The cache was on the ground out in the open (perhaps blown there??). We put the cache back into a less conspicuous spot where we supposed it should be using the coordinates. TFTC TNLN SL

08-Jul-10
Dropping off a travel bug and putting the log in a ziploc bag.

03-Jul-10
We had visited this location with another cache that had been here previously. The hunt took us a little longer than with the previous cache. An interesting location with some great views. Another FTF for the day, TFTC PSHiker. [FTF 37, C 610]
