Lovely to catch up with fellow geocachers, and the rain held off although it was a bit cold. Thanks for the event Martina und Philipp...SL...TNLN

31-Jul-10
Well turns out I couldn't make it because I'm still on the bus home after a week of skiing at Mount Hotham. Though I did enjoy a *real* winter grill up there three ago when the original event was meant to be held because the CFA was having a fund raiser barbecue. Complete with showing off their snowmobile fire engine. Though perhaps we will meet up some other time. At least I managed to do some geocaching this morning in Bright. Big Grin

Tut mir Leid dass ich kann nicht gehen. Bis später!

31-Jul-10
Managed to drop past for literally 3 minutes on the way to picking up some wine for the dinner party at our place that starts at 19:30. I had been at the Stephen Fry talk at the Regent Theatre so I wasn't expecting to get there today, especially as it went 30 minutes over.

However, a quick detour couldn't be resisted and I made a log entry and met Philipp briefly before jumping into the car and getting home again. Sorry for the rude-ish drive-by, but it was all I could manage!

31-Jul-10
Thanks for organising this BBQ. I met some new people and had a good feed!

31-Jul-10
Well the weather was better than was expected so it was time to drag the bike out & go for a ride.

It was a great day for the event some recon it was cold but i did not think it was that cold but then again i was was wearing full moterbike gear. LOL

31-Jul-10
Got along to this finally. Didn't bring the bike but wish I had...the wind was perfect for another assault on the WhereIgo cache nearby...could have set an unbeatable record on it Smile

Great to meet you Philipp! Looking forward to your next WhereIgo cache Very Happy

31-Jul-10
Sorry we didn't get there as we were looking forward to meeting Martina und Philipp. It's a long way from Murrayville (where we had a commitment on Friday night) to Ormond and we did quite make it. Oh well, perhaps we’ll catch up at the next event!

31-Jul-10
Great event, Nice to be able to put faces to the names!

31-Jul-10
It turned out to be lovely weather this afternoon (when the sun was shining) and, like last time, I enjoyed catching up with new and old cachers. Thanks to ° for organising another event so soon after the previous one. Nice to finally meet our hosts as well.

31-Jul-10

31-Jul-10
Attended today on One-Eyed's (my father in law) geo-training day, along with Mrs Iamapom, and the mother in law - Mrs One-Eyed. Good to see many of the usual faces, and some new one's too. Were very very entertained by Rob&Helena's amusing "We got spoken too by the Federal Police while geocaching" amusing story.
TFT Event.

31-Jul-10
Great afternoon. met other caches. learned a bit more about caches.

Again why I have not logged this event is a long and long reason which only I understand, but if it were not
for Team Crackers it still would remain unlogged, but the threat of physical harm is too strong..( why is my arm hurting??..lol).
Onto the event: In the company of team Crackers we attended this event and we had a great day catching up
with other cachers and meeting new cachers. Like all events the day went too fast.

Our thanks to Martina and Philipp for organising the event.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "waiting for Summergrillen..lol" Coffee Clan.

31-Jul-10
1st find of the day, and 2521st total find at 2:00 PM.

This was our second outing to Elwood, to again catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Whilst the weather was blustery and cold, when the sun came out it was a totally different story.

Thanks to both of the organisers for arranging the event.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks º for the cache

Tristan the Travel Turtle Tag (TTQWTC) has come for a flying visit back in time.

31-Jul-10
After dropping our youngest off to a birthday party, we made a late appearance at 4:00pm. Nice to meet up with everybody but brrrr, no warmer than last time. Thanks from D & HA B-A. Our 35th Event cache.

31-Jul-10
Thanks for the yummy Glühwein, and the opportunity to catch up with old friends, and meet new ones..

31-Jul-10
Thank you for organising this event and for the lovely sunny afternoon. It's a pity we could only make a flying visit, but we made up for it by staying much longer than anticipated. You know what happens when you start talking geocaching, time just flies. Lovely to cache up with other cachers and meet some of the newer to the sport (newer, goodness, we've only been doing this a year) Thanks again and cheers

Great to come to another event even if only for a short-ish time.
Wheeled and dealed some pathtags. Met some new people whose caching names I've come across.
Good to meet the event organisers this time too =o]
Brilliant we didn't have to hunt for the logbook this time round - haha.
A good time was had by all, until the next time.
Thanks Martina and Philipp!

We attended version 2 today, with the company of Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan on our way to do some cache maintenance in the area. As with all events it was a great chance to catch up with old friends for a good laugh and also meet some teams for the first time but as usual we never get around to saying hello to everybody, we did manage to say hello to the host before we had to leave.
Thanks Martina and Phillip for the event

31-Jul-10
We were able to get to the event travelling from Bendigo to Geelong and then Melbourne for the rugby. We were late starters but there was still a few in attendance as the sun sank and the chill rose. Nice to meet some new faces and thanks to Ian and Penny for picking us up at the train station so we could attend. Tnx Martina und Philipp

31-Jul-10
4 weeks later, same place, similar temperatures, met some people again and some for the first time. Thanks for organizing it again, and nice meeting you, Philipp and Martina.

We were amongst the first arrivers and left last, typical. We had a great time at version 2 of this event, and it was great to meet the hosts at last. We even remembered to bring sausages to barbecue this time. Thanks for organising this great get together.

[purple]What an awesome day![/purple][font=Comic Sans MS]

Thanks everybody for joining our little BBQ-event. It was nice to see the faces behind the names and it was as much fun as the very first version back in 2005: [url=http://coord.info/GCMM61][green]Münchner Wintergrillen 2005[/green][/url]. Fortunately this time it was about 25°C warmer Very Happy I still remember the night: it had -13°C which is that cold that we tried to melt through the ice of the nearby lake with the coals if the BBQ. It didn't work :bad:

There won't be a 3rd edition of Wintergrillen however the next major weekend-event isn't that far out: South East Meet-n-Greet II http://coord.info/GC2BHYC on 2. Oct 2010. And yes. We also plan to host another event somewhere in November Smile

Thanks Martina und Philipp for organising the event.

Will try to attend depending on how I feel in the morning after a driver last night wasn't looking for motorbikes. If I don't make it tomorrow then have a good time and I will catch up with you all next time.

Happy caching

30-Jul-10
hurry up we are here waiting for you.

30-Jul-10
[purple]Guten Morgen Very Happy[/purple][font=Comic Sans MS]

The weather is as expected: unsettled with a bit of sunshine. In other words: perfect Wintergrillenwetter. Enjoy your breakfast and see you soon.

Parking
Please note that parking in Point Ormond Rd. isn't for free (I think it was 4$ / h ord 10$ / d). You can avoid this by parking across the road - somewhere around Shelley or Lytton Street.

Logging Trackables
The will be a tracking sheet so please fill it if you leave or take a Traveller.

Will be there with Rog and Diala

28-Jul-10
Damn. I managed to get second from front row tickets to Stephen Fry on Saturday at 14:00. Unless I can get Stephen to change his dates I'm afraid I'm a no-show now.

28-Jul-10
Seems like everything is going to plan thus far.
We hope to make it there!

20-Jul-10
Really hoping to be there for this one. Looks like we may even have a fluke visit by Wal that weekend as well so maybe we will all be in attendance!!!!!

06-Jul-10
Sadly I can't make it, as I'll be on holiday. Tempted to cancel holiday for Glühwein. (Kidding.) Danke für die Einladung!

06-Jul-10
I'll see if the dynamic trio want to make another day of it!!!

05-Jul-10
Unfortunately, despite being so close to home, I have a prior engagement on that day. If I'm lucky, I may make it by 4:45, but whether anyone will still be there at that time is another question.

05-Jul-10
Its in the diary so I guess we'll be there, that is unless we get a wedding invitation from a friend Smile

04-Jul-10
Ahh..what the heck!
May as well come back and have another bash at it.
No hiding the log book this time...OK!

04-Jul-10
How about FTF goes to the cacher who catches the most fine examples of the rodent family !? Surprised
I reckon we will be there. Thanks for organising.

04-Jul-10
Refering to the note on July 4 by iamapom

"How about FTF goes to the cacher who catches the most fine examples of the rodent family !? "

I already have my entry for the FTF. It is alive and kicking as I write. Its a fat little bugger having consumed about 1 kilo of cashews from the pantry!
We have a bit of a rodent problem up here in Riddell so if you are looking for one just come up and catch one or two for us.

I really enjoyed this, so I'll make this my second event cache.

If this one isn't as good as the first one, you'll just have to keep organising these and not coming!! Wink
