Tried for a quick find between Thames and Waitomo, but under time pressure could not find this one. Got within 1ft according to the gps and dug around in the brush but no luck.
Had a good look around and rummage through the flax but dnf lots of false alarms with the rubbish about.
Stopped in cute wee Matangi for a coffee and catch up with friends. So quick drive and quick find while so close. Tftc
Day 2 of a short trip up here from Canterbury. Another lovely day- first stop- and nice quick find. tftc
On a geocache/apple picking trip with the kids. How many can we find in 2 hours? The answer is 5
Last find of the trip. Took a bit of searching by the 3 geocaching kids. Got it in the end.
Thanks for the cache.

Gps no help and phone wouldnt work properly so thanks for the logical clue. Had a wild rabbit help us.
After a long day working not too far from here I had a bit of time to find a few caches before heading back to my hotel in Hamilton. Coordinates spot on and cache found in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
I found a few geocaches in this area today. Thanks for the cache and bringing me to this odd little rest area.
Early start to the day, off to the Dawn parade to see son in parade then time to do some caching. Sneaky little spot, great military camo. TFTC
Had some time on hand between flying in to Hamilton airport and my first appointment so a little caching was in order! Certainly plenty of Pylons in sight from here. TFTC
Found it eventually. When will I learn not to assume !!! - thanks for the cache
I did, but they weren't listening, humming their own tune it seems. Impressive, and not a place to get your wires crossed obviously.

Thanks for an interesting cache. Found while out locating puzzle and cluster caches, so good to have a quick cache to locate.
It was time to take a nice good break. And notice the picknick table attribute....so that must be a good one We parked our campervan.....Yes in front of a big pylon. Took the chairs and sat in the sun. Doggies enjoyed their big bone and after a good rest went for the cache.
Hmmm not so good idea for one of the doggies as she was more black than brown and needed a shower before entering the camper.
Thanks for putting a cache out here

Found once we finally sorted the GPS out. Was getting dark which made it interesting.
Nice easy cache to find on a circuitous geocaching detour on the way home from Hamilton. Made the drive much more interesting! TFTC
Out getting some fresh air with Jabberstott. Cache soon in hand but stayed a while so boys could climb trees!

Had to think about this but luckily grandpa was handy to help me put on my geocaching gloves to save all those scratches. Climbing the trees afterwards was fun too!
Another great cache find with Dashtastic. Looked suspicious with two blokes in some plants!
A flying visit Up North. Visiting family and caches in marginal weather Thanks for the hide.
Out for a country drive to collect a few more slightly further afield. Have passed this spot so many times, but never stopped. TFTC.
First day of the school holidays. Set myself a goal to make the hunt more interesting. Didn't count on heavy rain though... Left Rotorua in rain. Once over the Mamakus, the sun came out and looked very promising.
Wandered about a bit before locking onto ground zone. The nephew had a 'boy' look and didn't spot the cache. I had a go, and found it immediately. Also noticed the remains of some sort of potted plant... Not what you would expect to find in this well-concealed hide. TFTC.

Found it while biking, haven't done it for a while so standing up typing this
GZ was a mess and someone had thrown the cache away - so retrieved, made sure it was secure and dry than replaced with care where I think you intended. t4tc
Out with Z-masterNZ, trying to achieve our 250 cache geocoin today. Need 12 more.
#18 for the day.

This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!
I did say no to the pylons, and yes to the cache, so I collected it up quickly and easily.
TFTC!!

After working in Hautapu for the day I took a slight detour on my way back to Hamilton and the motel to do this cache and a few others. TFTC
Love the original cache container. Nice to find a non-standard cache. Fav point given.
Wasn't keen on the weird buzzing from above! Done on our little Tamahere night jaunt. Cache much appreciated.
Log a bit soggy and smelly.

Quick find while in the area - love the photo on the cache page. Log was quite damp, TFTC
Nice park and grab with a friend who has now been introduced to Geocaching! When we found it though it was a little wet inside, including the logbook, signed as carefully as we could!

Last one for day and on way home - Yes these things are huge but what would we do without power TFTC
Found it out on the ground, replaced it to where the hint said. Pencil may may come in handy to retrieve.
Thanks to smart phone spied this one nearby on our journey. Found it out on the ground, replaced it to where the hint said. Can see why people are upset with these big monsters all over the place. SL. TFTC.
Had to kill time on my way to my "boss" and so decided to do this one not too far from his place.
