Day 19 - Labour weekend extended road trip - last day. The caching mojo is waning, so let's see where muggly hubby and I go before flying out early evening.
The place was humming with muggles, and possibly somw workme n chatting nearly so didn't risk compromising the cache. But there has been (is having?) a bit of a clear out. See pic.

Tried with the family, but DNF. Will yry again some day when we're back to Lonestar.
Was in town and wanted to grab a cache to mark the journey. Nice easy find late at night. Good water too. Thanks for the cache!
First find ever . Made an early morning stop as im sure it gets busy around here. Thanks for creating this one, it was fun.
Easy find. But took a while as lots of muggles in the area. Thanks for placing the cache
Arrived early for dinner at the Lone Star tonight. As this cache was only metres from where we parked, we had little choice but to go after it! One or two trees could possibly have fitted the hint description, but the coords took me pretty much to the right one. Found reasonably quickly. #3931. TFTC.
What fun dad 6ft2 scrambling in the bushes with us to find it, left a rock to take and rehide
In petone visiting weltec. Fired up .cgeo to see if there was a quick find I could tackle on the way out and elected this cache.
No issues locating. Cheers.
No issues locating. Cheers.
Surprised to see it out in the open. However, daughter placed it where it should be.
Found it out in the open but I hid it to the instructions so it wouldn’t be muggled. Nice fun cache on a drive with my grandma.
Made an early morning stop here.
Quick find then then to the nearby earthcache .
Thanks

Tried for this one a couple of years ago. Very pleased to turn it yellow today! All good at GZ and TFTC.
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal).
Reasonably quiet at GZ today. Found after a short search. All good in cache, tftc!
Found with the stealthy assistance of UnicornLex and in the excelente company of Lissyloo113
Nice easy park and grab. It’s super funny watching an 8 year old be stealthy while hiding in the trees when muggles come near TFTC
Late Saturday night out on the toon! Quiet as seeing as everyone partying two days ago.
Passing through Petone doing the AdLab so I called by here for a quick find. The nearby Earth Cache must have been one of the first that we had ever found back in 2008.

First thing on a Sunday morning and out for a walk with the fur monsters, with coffee in hand. Not too many people out this early so a nice easy find. Thanks for bringing us here
When we're in Petone we often visit the spring to fill up our water bottles but it's always been muggle-y when we've visited. Today we came to the trampoline park nearby and the kids were very thirsty afterwards and needed to refill their bottles. It was later in the day and quiet at GZ so we topped up our bottles and my youngest son made a quick find. TFTC
ttfc a quick find on my way home from Lonestar and filling up my bottle at the amazing fountain
Time of day was a bit too busy so had to leave. Had a few attempts at looking around where we thought it was but no luck.
Great find! Well tucked away which made it a little hard to spot but that just adds to the find. Lots of muggles stopping to fill bottles, I fear we may have looked very suspicious rummaging around
Found with @peadub on a beautiful sunny day. First find in Petone. Our GPS a bit off but found fairly easily. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Nice hint and find. Did a bit of CITO to teach Muggle sister about stealth. Ttfc
Found eventually. Just had to eliminate a whole lot other hidey places first. What an interesting site. Loved reading up about it and tasting it. TFTC
Found by trayc.g while i was still shaking from being under the wharf - don't ask. Tftc
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #739, still there, coordinates a bit off.
The muggles lurking by their car fiiiiinally left and I was able to make the quick find. Lots of people filling their bottles here! Must be some good water. Thanks for the cache
Overnighting at the Petone Workingman's Club before catching the ferry tomorrow. Went for a bit of a wander to gather a few caches. What an amazing spring, and so many people filling so many bottles with the water. Amazing. Mrs S finally spotted this one after a bit of a hunt. It was hiding pretty well and it was only by chance she saw it.
Thanks Yeetrees.
Thanks Yeetrees.
Had a rummage around the area and found it! Sister needed to fill her bottle to continue the cache adventure. TFTC
A nice easy find in the late evening. Thankfully I spotted the cache in the failing light! Great spot to visit! Thanks Yeetrees
Found with aeshna_uk. Back in Petone to visit the UK Goodies store and grab myself some Alpen We were parked nearby so stopped to give this another try. Very quick find this time. Makes me wonder how I missed this last time! TFTC!
ha dont know WWWWHWHHHYYYY this was so hard last time - nice quick find, and it was broken so no one around - thanks for the placement.
Was out in the area attending the Palindrome Day Geocaching event on the Petone waterfront. Looked for this one after dark due to the high muggle activity during the day. Was a quick find with the help of a torch - no muggles present. Was able to park right next to gz while charging my phone just enough to take a reading, not enough charge to take a photo thou! Loved writing the 02.02.02 in the log. TFTC.
Friends are op-shopping which is not my thing. Luckily there was a nearby geocache to keep me occupied. Very interesting, obviously the water is valued as there was some serious container filling going on when I arrived. Thanks for bringing me here.
#5 great spot many muggles around though stealth is very key... SX2 for the win

After dining at Seashore Cabaret we decided to burn off the burgers with some geocaching. Great end to the evening, tftc
My phone got me within 2 to 4 m. I reckon the GPS would be more accurate.
Found with Seattle’s best and @lui_thedog Who is not yet a geocaching asset, but makes a good decoy. Visiting Wellington over the holidays and love coming out here for flat walks in the evening sun.
Thanks for the geocache.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Didn't find it but, from other logs, looks like we're in good company. Ah well, another time, perhaps. At least we had the nearby Earthcache too!
Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

Visiting Welly from Auckland and had to come and check out Petone where we lived 37 years ago. Petone seems strangely to have changed little really. Different shops and cafes but all very familiar. This spring and sculpture weren’t here then of course. Surprised at how busy it is with constant stream of locals filling bottles. Interesting! Found cache easily despite GPS all over the place. TFTC
I was here with the CO tonight, as we had just spent an exhausting but gratifying afternoon/evening chasing FTF's through Butterfly Creek and up towards Days Bay and I was desperate to find a nice easy Earthcache to log for International Earthcache Day 2019.
So I figured that I could grab that one, he could check out whether his cache needed any maintenance after the previous DNF log, and I may as well grab this one too as I was here.
It was after dark when we were at GZ, and after a bit of a search by torchlight it became apparent that a replacement cache would be required, so I was able to sign the log whilst the new container was being camouflaged by the CO.
Thanks for the cache, and the great day.

No luck for us today. GPS was all over the place and so we just checked every single knarly one in a 10m radius but eluded us.
Quick park and grab on the way home from the shopping to pacify the kidlets. TFTC
On a road trip north, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

Found, amazing the procession of people through here filling bottles. I could understand if the town supply was crap but it's not and it comes from the same source.
“New Scotland to New Zealand” Greetings from Nova Scotia, Canada. We are travelling through New Zealand for a month and hope to enjoy many caches. Thanks to all cache owners and to this beautiful country.
We have been here years ago, today we did a walk from Ava. Still interesting to see the spring water coming. thanks.
Waiting for pizza forgot my pen . Muggles filling water but we were stealthy! Sending photo as proof. With LM05 and F08
