Apologies to all - especially those who got the last couple of DNF's.
Think it's fair to say I can't replace this one, since the rather particular hide has fallen! Was a bit of a giggle -thanks for so many great logs!
Happy caching! Team Goanna.

10-Oct-12
Think it may be gone, was able to have a very thorough search. Thanks anyway

Another legendary night run with the The Demolition Crew (TDC) being myself, TrailRunning and Quasar3671. Again
with us tonight for the run was Roostaman from Wagga, to enjoy another champion run. The nights agenda was to
focus on "Night Caches" which may sound strange for our group, considering we do 99% of our caching at night,
but so few of them are actual night caches. Numbers were needed for myself and Roostaman for the "Night Caching Masters Challenge" cache. The target areas were Frankston night caches and the Point Nepean night caches, both areas by push bike. Lots of fun at night, with a torch gaffa taped to the handlebars of a bike... Cool.

The highlight of the night for me, well there were two, me getting my 4000th GC find at Above The Commanding Officer - Carbine, and the celebrated find, in driving rain, at Puzzlemania 7 - Maths Test. Weather was not the best on the night, but we still managed over 60 finds for the entire day, including the run to Melbourne. Another great night, can't wait until the next.... Stay tuned all you caching folks out there.....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a ripper. We initially tried me on TR's shoulders, that didn't work, so TR got on my shoulders, and wits a little effort, the chache was in hand, signed and put back. Great and fun. A Favorite.

19-Jun-12
Found on another great nite trek with The Demolition Crew. The weather was clearing for a while so it looked like a dry night but it changed and the rain turned on and off for hours. We had a fun bike ride to log a few good caches and abandoned the 2nd leg of the bike tour of the Peninsula due to the weather, but found more caches driving around instead. Overall, an excellent night to remember.

Another coastal micro with a difference, found in the dark and rain and with TR & BL doing acrobatics to reach it. TFTC,
Roostaman.

19-Jun-12
Awesome!!

19-Jun-12
It was another legendary night caching run with my fellow TDC (The Demolition Crew) team members Quasar3671 and Blacklegend. In tow, once again, was our good caching buddy Roostaman from Wagga. While Q and I already have more than the required numbers for the Australian Night Caching Masters Challenge, our country kin needed to grab a few more to get them to the required numbers. The really weird thing is that TDC almost always cache at night, but 99.9% of those caches don’t count for the challenge! So here we were lined up to do Frankston Area night caches and the Point Nepean night caches by bike. The Frankston area night caches (5 in total) and quite a number of traditional caches were cleaned up in less than a few hours. It was then a matter of collecting a few of the harder puzzle caches on the way to Point Nepean. We were having so much fun on the Peninsula that we eventually decided to abandon the Point Nepean night caches leg of the journey and continue to score some big numbers in the Dromana – Portsea area. In total it amounted to a night of 53 caches being collected.

The absolute highlight of the night was watching Blacklegend pull himself up to reach “Above the Commanding Officer – Carbine” for his 4,000 GC.com cache find. Blacklegend you are an absolute LEGEND!

After the obligatory photo of the cache in hand, we hit the tarmac, dirt tracks, streams and cow paddocks to continue the run. While the weather was not the best, it’s something we have come to expect, and all being well prepared, we had a great night. Added to the morning cache total of about 13 caches I think my personal total for the run was well over 60 caches for the day. You little ripper!

Cache log - What a laugh we had here! I stood on Blacklegends shoulders to make my way to the top. Throwing the cache to him I slid down to make my mark and we were able to replace the cache without the need to leave the ground. Thanks it was fun. A favourite.

Big GrinFound with Hearse068 and some help from geopartners. I wasn't going to post this pic but I see a couple of others so decided I would. Hearse068 and I found GZ and decided that we couldn't do it as we couldn't get to it. Geo partners arrived we mention our predicament and to our amazement they said they would help. That is where the fun began geo partner tried to climb up but had thongs on and the Hearse068 said she would give it ago. Geopartners helped hearse068 up there who was laughing that much she was crying, I am trying to take pics and not laugh at what is going on. Next thing out of no where 3 bike riders ride past Geopartner who seen them coming said "Try not to act to suspicious". Well that was it we are all laughing, I am sure the bikers must have wondered what on earth we were up to anyway they didn't stop just kept riding and we kept laughing.
We where all laughing that much at geopartners comment that they nearly dropped hearse068. Finally after some searching of GZ all the while hearse068 was trying to compose herself she finally found it. . This cache would have to be the funniest cache we have ever done we are still laughing about geo partners comment now. Thanks for a great fun cache and all the laughs we had. TFTC TNL1

Big Grin Found with Gonefishen07 and thankfully Geo/Muggle Partners. What more can I say Gonefishen07 said it allWink. This will go down in history as the funniest cache retrieval ever for us and we will be laughing for a long time about it. Thanks Team Goanna for the laughs and the cache. PS the lid dose not stay shut to well may need a new one.

As there was no friend on hand, I had to improvise, which worked out quite well. My friend was red-headed and very patient.

Hello, logging my personal tracker to calculate distance Smile

06-May-12
6/05/12 1:40 PM Find #943 Just as well there was two of us! Its not as simple as knowing where the cache is to log it as a find you've actually gotta get it and sign the log. So heres me and Square Pegs looking at this and thinking how are we gonna get it? Its been drizzling and its slippery. Not wanting to walk away I go for it and within seconds I have the cache but not before a confused walker passes by and then the ranger appears...bugger. I thought I'd be in trouble but Square Pegs lets him know what we're doing and he was good about it because he knew what geocaching was and even gave us a heads up for the next nearby cache. Thanks Mr Ranger and Team Goanna. I think I'll give this a favourite because of the adventure and tricky approach.

06-May-12
Well abl973 took the honours of making the grab of the cache. But just as he got his hand on it, the ranger appeared in his four wheeler from the around the corner. A friendly chap, he thought we might be surveying the tree to chop it down. Who would have thought we looked like arborists? He didn't need any explanation of geocaching, he just didn't know there was one here. He was however keen to point out that he had discovered one further along the foreshore, but he wasn't sure if it was still there. As we discovered a little while later, it was Smile. Thanks Team Goanna for the fun and the cache.

28-Apr-12
we should have had our cameras for this one, Bexta did a great climb and got down safely, a few muggles but they thought we were crazy, tftc

28-Apr-12
AWESOME!!! I love these hides!!! Out with Nufrat and Gruntassms on a cache raid of the Mornington Penninsula. One look and I was excited, the inner child in me was overjoyed!!! A lovely muggle granny came and asked some questions, she thought we were crazy. Smile TFTC

28-Apr-12
Very enjoyable cache. Probably because I wasn't the one taking the risks. Bexta you put on a perfect spot of entertainment for the granny muggle. I wonder if she even understood our explanation of what we were up to. Signed the log, Bexta replaced it and we were on our way to the next cache.

17-Apr-12
Out on a maintenance run with covert...
We had a ball on this - quick pick by covert who volunteered to retrieve the hide - I was not going to complain as I could have easily made the climb BUT getting down would have seen a few injuries ...guaranteed

Awesome hide - will recommend.
Thx for the hide Team Goanna

13-Apr-12
I'm glad I was with Rob. He is taller , my shoes were too cleated. I had heaps of excuses but up he went even though he has logged this before. Down came the cache, up went Rob again, such service!
Thanks Team Goanna for the biggest stump I've ever seen

Found and ROS managed a scribbly log as MAR was back in the cache mobile catching up in the logs. Great fun, favorite for us TFTC.

Had a great time at this one, Defiantly had to bring someone along. Very Happy

31-Mar-12
Beautiful beach, wonderful weather. Smile Thanks for this break on our trip. But are you sure about the terrain? I think it is a 3 star cache.

Best regards
Stefan

31-Mar-12
Great view of the beach from here. I saw a lot of kite surfers on the water nearby and enjoyed the view for a while before getting down to locating the cache. Have to wait for muggles to clear before doing some stunts to get the cache. TFTC!

Together with Liz and Bruce, we had a day on the ‘other’ side of the bay. This was one of the many other caches that popped into range as we endeavoured to conquer the Jack Speak series in one day. Sure did need our friends here.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Team Goanna.

Not having visited the Mornington Peninsula before we were excited when Phetlern suggested a caching day in this locality. We made an early start and caught the 7am ferry and booked our return on the 7pm ferry. If little is achieved without enthusiasm - we were not going to fall into that category. We had our list organized (most of them walenators caches) and came prepared to do as many of the Welcome to and Jack Speak caches as we could. The weather was not too kind but again enthusiasm did not wane and we ventured into the rain. Luckily several of the caches were under trees. The afternoon saw the sun shining down on our activities. What a beautiful area this is to cache in. Thanks Team Goanna - we did this near the end of the day as we were heading back to the ferry. Luckily Bruce had 3 friends to support him in his quest. Nice one

Love it, Sheppythekid! Thanks for the pic!

Thank you for the lovely feedback, Ridersofroryhan!

10-Mar-12
Amazing hide guys!!! Tried to get to it myself, but my friend took one for the team and headed up there himself. One of the best! TTFC

09-Mar-12
A really really inventive cache, probably one of my favourites of the nearly 50 I've found in my short career! Really nice hide. Got some strange looks from nearby beach-goers. A big fave, TFTC.

29-Feb-12
To celebrate geocaching birthday, sheppythekid and i decided to do this cache on the way home from work, check sheppy's log for the innovative way we found the cache! Don't look at the photo if you don't want to see a spoiler photo! Happy Birthday geocaching!!!!!! TFTC.

29-Feb-12

06-Feb-12
Some fun treasures in this geocache and a great spot to put them

04-Feb-12
The location was quickly found, but a group of picnicking muggles thwarted our efforts, so we came back tonight. With no one around the Moose made the climb, and grabbed the box, which was well in the hole. Log signed, path tag left, cache replaced and back to our accommodation in a jiffy. Our two muggle friends watched on in slight bemusement at this 'hobby' of ours that they hear so much about. One muggle friend still thinks we're nerds! Tftc, tn l: pathtag.

20-Jan-12
Like morcs4 found but could not retrieve to log - does that count?

20-Jan-12
Found with kel279 tftc

07-Jan-12
Was in the area to do the Portsea Twilight Run so did some caches as well. TFTC. Had to watch ourselves with all the muggles nearby. Hubby did the job and spotted the cache but it is too deep to retrieve to actually log. May need tools to retrieve now.

24-Dec-11
Ran past this in the morning but couldn't access it friendless. Came back with geoson to help achieve it, quickly had log in hand. Tried to tuck back more securely as it was very obvious when we arrived! TFTC from NZ

19-Dec-11
Lol.. Who needs friends when your past life you were a monkey?? Nice location. TFTC (New T-Virus member...)

10-Dec-11
Yes there it was...a bit obvious.. and I don't think I was able to hide it away well enough either....played monkey to get it but my grip was not too certain.

10-Dec-11
GrahamT couldn't boost me high enough so I acted as a prop as he played monkey. No muggles in the way today. And what a lovely spot to gaze over the bay.

08-Dec-11
Brought some friends along- thank god! TFTC~!

06-Dec-11
Haha so happy I brought along friends XD good spot haha

27-Nov-11
Found this with Vicki.
Unfortunately, the cache was lying on the ground in the open when we arrived.
We signed the log and tried to replace and cover the cache as best we could.
Good name for the cache. Thanks, Team Goanna. Big Grin

18-Nov-11
Lucky we had a friend or 4 for this one. Great spot for a cache. In luck with the weather because no muggle around on this chilly wet day. TFTC

05-Nov-11
Know where it is, know what we need to do to get it - as well as get all those muggles enjoying and absolutely magnificent 30 degree day on the beach on the Peninsula. Back another time when the coast is clearer.

05-Nov-11
Too many muggles around for standing on someone's shoulders.

29-Oct-11
Lucky for us we are a 2 woman team and manage to get Judith up there to retreive the cache thankfully there were not too many muggles about.

TFTC SL

15-Oct-11

30-Aug-11

30-Aug-11
I was the friend who was sent to get the cache. Found with murch1. TFTC!

23-Aug-11
Absolutely no chance on a day like today - so many muggles in the area. I'll have to come back when it's raining.

06-Aug-11
Found by caughtatwork at 12:50 on 6/08/2011
OMG! This is a terrain 2? Well, I could see the cache and so I attempted the cache climb solo and without damaging myself too much, had it in hand in a few minutes. Getting down was a challenge as I couldn't step and couldn't slip. A quick push back and I was off with no damage,
Replacing the cache was simple. I piffed it up and it landed just right Smile
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Team Goanna for this cache here today. It's a brave hide and a brave cacher (or fool) who attempts it during the wrong season.
*Overall Experience: 3*

31-Jul-11
Found on the way to Point Nepean with Robmc, who turned out to be just the sort of friend I needed to bring along! Thanks Team Goanna.

31-Jul-11
I brought a friend, but Jaffnut was too slack to the dirty work to grab the cache (She did point it out though Smile)
Loverly morning for a bit of a stretch.
Thanks Anna, Robmc.

29-Jul-11
Found at 7.55am, all I can say is lucky I had the right vehicle with me today!! And a warm jacket and beanie, hehehehe

25-Jul-11
Having just done a nearby challenging terrain cache, I was glad I had company to get this one. With the help of C@H I was able to retrieve the cache and sign the log while he did all the work down below. Nice hide and definitely bring a friend. Lucky I'm a light weight. Thanks for the hide.

11-Jul-11
nice tricky find

09-Jul-11
This is my second visit. This time I brought along the tallest friend I could find. This was a rather interesting challenge but one achieved and an experience I will be giggling about for years. I pass this cache on my way home from work; from now on I will be driving home each day with a bigger grin than before. (The cache was a little damp inside - dried it out but the containers seal isnt totally sealing) SL TFTC

09-Jul-11
Thanks to LeanneH this was my introduction to Geocacheing and i must say i haven't laughed so much in a very long time. Yes i was LeanneH's tall friend and i was not quite sure what i was getting myself into, but after a few hours of Geocaching i am hooked. Thanks LeanneH & thanks Team Goanna for a challenging and very humorous cache.

06-Jul-11
Love this one!!!

Had fun getting to it between breaks in the pouring rain, but finally got it with a couple of friends.

30-Jun-11
i am glad ikkibrady was here to help me get this one i dont know how i would have managed otherwise. what a cool fun cache. loved it. thanks

17-Jun-11
On a nice wet afternoon of caching, we should of brought two friends, but we did grab it in the end.

05-Jun-11
This cache is in a great location. I am completing a seachange having recently moved to the area, all i need to do now is "find a friend" to help this vertically challenged geocacher complete this cache. So if your out there, and thinking of letting this one go because you dont have a friend handy drop me a line.. . . Thanks Team Goanna and thanks to my friend Spladem and co for getting this one back up and running again. [^] Cheers LeanneH

03-Jun-11
Thank you ever so much to Spladem & C@H for resurrecting this cache for me - and without even being asked! What truly good sports you folks are! Especially appreciated since I'm "stuck" interstate for a while....
Cheers all, and happy caching! Team Goanna.

01-Jun-11
seeing this container had been replaced and i just happened to be in the car so off i went. got to gz and my heart sank when i realised where it was as i had not brought a friend with me. doh! so up i climbed with my amazing tree hugging skills found the cache signed log and made a very ungraceful jump down. tftc

28-May-11
Spladem and I decided to take a look at this one since I had noticed the cache had recently been disabled. Spladem is like a spider monkey and had no trouble getting up this one. After checking the 2 obvious spots we decided to replace it with a container at the highest hide of the 2. The cache is ready to go again if the owner is fine with that. TFTC

28-May-11
As C@H says, I was up the tree in no time.. and soon discovering why there were soo many DNF's we debated for a few minutes if we should replace it or not, and eventually settled on the larger of the two containers thus it couldn't get lost in the big hidey hole.. we placed a piece of wood in the hole to avoid it getting buried.. Thanks Team Goanna for the great location..

26-May-11
this cache has been offline for quite a while now, is it coming back online?

16-Jan-11
Sorry - high muggle season. Will get to it in the next few nights.

15-Jan-11
This would have been so cool!
MMelb (Geo-Junior) was the only one that could get to GZ as JMelb just doesnt do that sort of thing and GMelb is recovering from surgery.
MMelb had a pretty good look couldn't find the cache.
There was no-one around when he was getting to GZ but by the time he had finished looking a family had arrived to play at the beach in the twilight but that was ok as he didnt have the cache anyway and I just took lots of photos as a decoy.
Thanks for the fun anyway - got some ace photos with The Spirit of Tasmania and the Moon in the background!!!
GJMMelb

30-Dec-10
This wasn't a DNF - as soon as we pulled up I realised it would be a DNA(ttempt) - a million muggles were right at GZ. What would you expect on such a beautiful day! Strolled over for a casual look just in case a bit of stealth was possible but quickly dismissed even that. Having now read the logs I can see why this would have to be totally muggle free to attempt! Thanks anyway Team Goanna.

27-Nov-10
Tricky extraction, TFTC.

23-Nov-10
I know where its suppose to be, but its definitely not there Sad
Went there twice just to make sure I wasnt going blind.

Found with Rebel Acts. A very good hide which caused plenty of mirth. We have a standard method for getting some caches, but it wasn't ging to work here. We tried a different, and succesful method, but as the log was being signed in situ, he said something and we spent the next period laughing loudly. Great fun, thanks Team Goanna.

01-Nov-10
This was cache # 14 of 31 for the day in the company of Alansee on our tour around the peninsula. I was with a friend and soon had him on my shoulders and the cache was found. My thanks to Team Goanna for the cache.

21-Oct-10
Great morning to get out and about. Arrived at GZ with geodaughter in tow but were stumped as to how to retrieve such a creatively hidden cache. We soon worked out the best way however and the cache was soon safely in hand. Signed log and returned cache to its safe hiding place. TFTC Team Goanna

18-Oct-10
I didn't but I wish I had, It was easier to retrieve than replace.
A good challenge for my aging body.
Thanks Team Goanna

17-Oct-10
Great cache. It was a good thing we had shortstuff95 with us for a day of caching. Easier to put back.

17-Oct-10
Easy to work out where GZ was- lucky we had shortstuff with us so we could lift her up to retrieve it. SL TFTC

We certainly had to bring a friend in the form of the youngest geodaughter, and we quickly had this one in hand. TFTH...SL...TNLN
