Another day on the caching trail. A variety of caches were encountered and eventually conquered, making for an enjoyable and liesurely day out. How nice to be outdoors in the fresh air rather than being cooped up inside.

Many thanks 379Jonti379 for placing this cache Cool.

I made this one harder then it should of been.
Luckily micaparamedic found it Smile

One of 71 caches found today during a big cache run up to and around the Bendigo region. I had a handful of puzzles solved and finding those was high on the agenda, as well as biking some more of the PPPT series. On the way back I managed to squeeze in the Fryers track series south of Castlemaine, and that was a great little adventure in the middle of the night. The weather was perfect all day and even at midnight it was still a balmy twenty degrees. I had a great day with 71 finds and 3 DNF's and my thanks go to all the CO's that placed and maintain the caches.
After not finding anything during the first five minutes of looking, I read some of the past logs then searched a little further afield, soon spotting the cache. Sneaky 'hide'.
Thanks for the cache.

Sneaky just sitting there

03-Nov-13
In Bendigo for a caching weekend with Julz76 and 2 geokids.

Arrived at GZ and kids abandoned us for favour of the nearby playground. Julz and I searched the obvious places near GZ then when re-reading logs we noticed others had widened their search. I then spotted another likely hiding spot and said what about trying this one - and sure enough there it was 'hiding' in plain view! Thanks for a great hide.

02-Nov-13
This one took some finding. Read some of the logs which gave us an indication as to where it might be. Spent a good 10 minutes looking in the nearby possible places, then Cathylm said have we tried that one. Oops, I hadn't even seen that one there. Within seconds we had the cache in hand. Thanks for the fun.

30-Oct-13
After searching all the obvious places, there it was - staring us in the face! Great hide Jonti - tftc Smile

17-Oct-13
It's always the ones hidden in plain site that are the hardest...

Visiting from the west, out geocaching with my cousin, sister, 2 nieces and my toddler! A great morning! Love the idea of this cache. GPS jumped around so was glad when geoneice said 'what's that?' TFTC

gpsr had us round the wrong tree. geomum scored this one. sneaky little devil. one good thing about caching in winter is that it makes tham easier to find I suppose. sl tftc

29-Jun-13
My second cache find!

The insomniac inside me found myself continually thinking about finding a new cache since my last one.
Therefore at 11:30pm I reached ground zero and commenced my search.

Took me a few minutes of searching, however GPS co-ordinates were only approx 5m off.

Well hidden and awesome use of micro camouflage!

23-Jun-13
Geoboy played while I hunted. TFTC

08-Jun-13

06-May-13
This was our 3rd cache find in the caching run & we found it at 12:18
So this now makes our total find count 6303.

[blue]
After DNFing this one some time ago (29 Jan 11), we just had to give it another try. The GPS was pointing all over the place, so we just looked in the most likely spots - again to no avail. We read in some previous logs that said the coordinates were a bit out, so we widened our search and found the sneaky thing. As we were logging the cache the GPS started to behave and indicated that we were around 1 metre from the cache
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Spot on (within 1 metre).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing
Thanks 379Jonti379 for the hunt today.

#1410 Found while in Bendigo for a funeral. No muggles or mini-muggles around which was just as well as I spent a fair amount of time here. It wasn't until I checked prior logs and saw the co-ords were a fair way out that I expanded the search area sufficiently and made the find - bad habit of mine concentrating too much on a 5m radius. Thanks 379Jonti379.

13-Dec-12
Finally found on the 3rd attempt! I was about to give up yet again, then re-looked in one final place. My eyes were literally only about 10 cm. from the cache when they re-focused and saw the obvious. After that, I couldn't work out how I had missed that before. Nice camo, and TFTC! Returned with the family to sign the log book on February 2nd.

Search search search and nothing! This type of cache is quite hard for me to see...even with Tamzy watching me almost get hit by it...I was still unable to see it! Coords were a fair bit off but got it in the end! TFTC Smile

After searching for sometime, digging a little bit of sand up with the near by equipment and finally about to give up, I decided to look in one last spot and sighted the cache, was very amusing to watch Nadsalators attempt to find it! TFTC

Found 10.00am
We left our car by the last cache and walked round towards is little park. We searched in all the obvious places and had to widen our search before spotting the container.

Thanks 379Jonti379

20-Sep-12
Took about 15 mins to find. Coordinates a bit off but good hide!!! Tftc

16-Sep-12
We searched for at least 20-30 minutes before giving up. After we left my wife read some of the logs suggesting that the cache was several metres away from where others had been searching initially, so we returned later in the day with renewed confidence. We widened our search and must have been there for at least 30 minutes before finally giving up a second time. This one had us thoroughly stumped, but our 5-year-old son enjoyed an extended time in the playground while we were searching.

12-Sep-12
Nice camo. Not what we were looking for, but got there eventually. TFTC!

12-Sep-12

Found #1104 @ 1510 Hrs whist in Bendigo to attend the Tigersden - 250 Hides Event. A couple of milestones this Weekend with my Son (Warrior99) achieving his 100 finds & me able to log his first hide... Cool

This one took some finding... Once we broadened our search, we finally made the find with the GPS having us 9-10 metres from GZ (with Warrior99)...

Took: Nothing

550. A semi milestone for DNFs. We had no idea and time was running out so we didn't spend as long as we should have it appears.

30-May-12
This was to be my consolation for not finding The Pledge, but alas I had no luck here either after spending a long time searching Sad

26-May-12
We looked for a while then spied what looked like a spot for a crafty geocache only the cache was missing.
Hopefully we were wrong and it is still there.

25-Feb-12
Found this neat cache on the way to the F.M.E in Bendigo.
Many thanks for breaking the Journey and thanks for the neat cache.
TNLNSL.

I was hoping somebody was going to pop their head over the fence and tell us where it is. Next time...I'll get you...you little sucker.

Found at 1435 in the company of Roostaman. This one was eventually found by Mrs Fred about 7 metres from where we were searching.

Thanks 379Jonti79.Smile

Well Jonti this made us look for ages. We searched high and low and everywhere in between and were just about to ive up when I spotted something, something not quite right.
This was fun just as a playground should be. TFTC.

29-Dec-11
Took a little while to find this one. Our coordinates were out a bit (as suggested by a previous log). Introduced our niece to geocaching here. Great location for the children.

23-Dec-11
After Sully1 and I failed at finding this one after the Flash Mob event, we had another go here today. After about 5minutes, I heard Sully1 say Aha!! and the clever unusual hide was in hand. Nice work Jonti

23-Dec-11
Found with bogonghazy on a daytrip to the area to retrieve our Secret Santa KK's. This one got the better of both of us last time, but pleased to say that we won today. BIG Smiles. Can't believe we missed it last time. Very good Jonti. Giving this a fav, 'cause it beat me last time. Thanks, have a Wonderful Christmas and hope to see you in Febuary.

Our 5340th overall find.

Found with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats on our Victoria Invasion trip. This one was an extended search but Mr Rat came up with the find and replaced the log. We tricked steeba into thinking that the cache still was in play..

Thanks to 379Jonti379 for the cache.

TNLNSL

18-Aug-11
Found with Big Matt and Shell, steeba and The Rats during a quick 4 day bash down to Victoria.

A quick find for some of us. Payback is always fun!

Thanks 379Jonti379 for the cache.

18-Aug-11
Out for a caching road trip through parts of Victoria with FarmerFrenzten, Steeba and Big Matt & Shell. This was one of the many caches we found.

Poor old steeba was left wondering what was going on here. We searched for a while before pulling a swifty on him.
thanks

18-Aug-11
Found with Big Matt and Shell, Farmer Frentzen and The Rats on our 'victrip2011'.

This took a good little search to locate and then the joke was on me as I was left searching for a cache that had already been found and logged! TFTC!

24-Jul-11
Finally found today with a little clue from Jonti. My GPSr was reading coordinates about 6 meters off. Thanks Jonti for the cache.

17-Jul-11
Tried in vain again to find this clever hide. But alas - no luck. I hope it is still there as it looks like Tigerden lucked out as well.

04-Jun-11
No luck with this one. Even broad search failed to find. Try again another day.

02-Jun-11
This was our first for the day, and no luck.
Spent ages here and even widened my search but no luck.
Will get hubby to help next time and see if he does any better.
Is it a MICRO or a NANO that we are looking for?

01-Jun-11
It is MICRO. If it was a nano I would have indicated...

25-Apr-11
Took a while to find. GPS about 5 meter's out.

19-Apr-11
TFTC Jonti. Had trouble finding it yesterday but today with Jonti giggling that I was standing right in front of it, I eventually spotted it.

27-Mar-11
I took the kids will be helpful clue too literally but I had featherdown with me which made me feel better when we couldn't find it.
After phoning and fanning out much further that I thought I should the hidden container suddenly revealed itself.
Thanks jonti

27-Mar-11
Even though I didn't manage to find this one alone, I knew that feathertop was glad of my company here.
I have my uses even if I don't find a lot of caches.
Thanks

20-Mar-11
#1182 @ 10.30am. The name of this cache certainly echoed our sentiment for this weekend - we think Bendigo is micro city Wink. We were searching around a little at the place that our 2 Garmins agreed was GZ. After reading previous logs we broadened our search a little and Dad found the sneaky blighter. TNLNSL TFTC 379Jonti379 - had to deploy the GeoPrincess here but luckily no one else utilising the facilities [^]

14-Mar-11
Found at 12.30pm After visiting here yesterday with Toy Car and having no joy came back today after visiting the local master and being told that the container had changed and the hint didn't reflect the new location. Today it was a find although the log was wet - so added a new log sheet (rain rite) which will stand up to being wet. TFTC

27-Feb-11
Another one we DNFed on Friday. After some extra guidance at the Pub last night, we returned this morning for a second attempt. Even so, it took a while. We searched in two places before finally finding it at the third spot. Our GPSr showed 5m at GZ, which is well within normal tolerances, but just enough to lead us astray on Friday. Our thanks again to 379Jonti379.

27-Feb-11
On a day's caching with bogonghazy, this one eluded us today. Looked around for about 15 mins, but time was becoming too precious.
Obviously another of jonti's clever hides. I'll be back..............
