Hi geopopnz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
TheCoddiwompler

During our roadtrip through New Zealand I DNF this cache "Entry to the Sounds (Gateway Cache #1)(Nelsn/Mrlb)" from geopopnz on 6 maart 2020 11:27.
Maybe it was the ferry that made me overlook this cache, even with one of the comments I was not able to find it .
Groetjes/Greetings and TFTC from a Dutchman (a long way from home, but home is here the heart is, on the bus).

Logbook was quite wet during my visit on 27th of December. This cache could use some maintenance!
Today we made a beachday. We went to Moetapu Bay. On our way back to Havelock we stop here and find quickly this cache. Thx for the cache.

Found during our day in the sounds! Unfortunately the logbook was quite wet and needs maintenance. Thanks for hiding and making is stop here. This showed us where to buy some delicious and relatively cheap honey. Much recommended!
I have been past this spot many times but there has always been activity here, at the sign or across the road. Seized my chance for my first real look here and the cache was quickly spotted where I was least expecting it. Oh well, it’s still in good shape even if the log is a little damp. TFTC geopopnz.
A quick trip round QC drive after my first plan for a few caches tonight was scuppered a bit due to some cache maintenance. So, an impromptu trip here and it was a nice night for it. But as I was unprepared a few caches were found with no hint access. No problems tonight. Thanks all COs.

Stopped first time heading to Postage but tanker was filling. Stopped again on way out but then loads of muggles turned up and spent an age at the map. Third time lucky heading back to Picton. Log too wet though so left card as proof.
Nice easy find while biking back from Portage with ditzydi a few days ago, no phone signal here and I forgot to log later, so dates don't match. Ditzydi enjoyed finding her first cache. Smelly cow shed added to the adventure.
Offline, so we couldn't get any details but had a look in the area and was soon found using our geocache senses. TFTC.
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache after a few minutes search, thanks.
The Pelorus Cluster (of schools) held its Junior School Swimming Sports today, so before heading home I made a quick stop here. A five year old snoozed in the back and one of the teachers played on her phone in the front of the car while I popped out, searched the wrong hint object, thought about the warning about the electrical wire and chose a new area to search. Within seconds I was signing the log.
Thank you for the cache!

Für mich war es der Exit, nachdem ich eine schöne Nacht in den Sounds hatte.
Gefunden war der Cache schnell und dann ging es ab zur Tankstelle mit bald schon leerem Tank...

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day three driving from Momorangi bay to Greymouth. Thank you for the cache
Instant find in the only logical place. Was going to replace container and log based on the last few finds but it has already been done.
I agree with the other logs before. The cache itself is a quick find but it is broken and the logboock is wet.
Came to this crossing on the way from Nelson to Picton. But we stopped only on the way back from the sounds.

This was a quick find, the box is broken and the logbook is wet. Greetings from Germany, GolmarKlonk
I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.
Today was day 1. Picton to Nelson, Having travelled The Queen Charlotte Drive which links Picton and Havelock a few times now we were glad that we took it as the traffic on this road today was very low as it was off peak and we didnt have any issues with silly tourist. The only issue that we did encounter was major road slips but they were well signed posted.
After finding GC6CT9V - First Bach (Nelson/Marlborough), this was the next cache that we decided that we would pick up on our journey towards Nelson. Arriving near GZ, Mrs Yeetrees decided to park close to GZ and from there it was just a matter of finding the cache. After reading the hint Mrs Yeetrees so spotted the hint item and under closer investigation and I soon found the well hidden cache.
Managed to retrieve it without any issues, signed and then replaced it back as found. Thanks bumandworker for placing this cache here along this scenic drive, TFTC TNLNSL (13572). A very nice spot that I will need to come back and have a closer look as I havent being down this road yet.

Spent the day walking the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon. Buggered to say the least. Grabbed this one for a quick find before heading to the pub for fish and chips, and some beers. Earnt. GLB1721 TFTC (4391)
Quick find. Was uncovered so added a few more rocks to cover it better. Thanks for the cache
Busy with other board readers! Ant managed to magic the cache out and back again. TFTC
Today we were driving from Picton north direction Golden Bay. On the way we made several stops to admire the view and to look for some caches. This one could be found quickly. Thank you for the cache and greetings from Switzerland.
Read the information on the board and turned round to spot the partially hidden cache. Tried to hide it a bit better. Thanks.
A nice and quick find. Cheers.
Early ferry today, and off to Neslon for a couple of nights. Good to be back on the mainland.
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Easy find except for the 2 muggles who pulled in behind us and asked if we needed help while we were waiting to retrieve cache. Yes you can help by buggering off, we wanted to say!! Once they were satisfied that we were OK they drove off and cache was retrieved, signed and replaced. Tftc.
Another quick find as we continued along the road to Picton. The Haywood Hornet drove right up to it and I jumped out and signed
This was a quick find for Herts Skip - he had the cache in his hands before I had even got out of the car.
Parked right next to it it was not even covered by stones and so obvious that we walked by. Covered it now. Thanks for hiding.
Greetings from Australia, we managed to stop for this one as we continued our tour around NZ, log retrieved, signed and replaced as found, thanks for the cache and the fun
Got on way home as there were people near by when we headed into the sounds.A quick easy find .Tftc geopopnz
Arrived right at milking time, so had to make a show of reading the info sign while looking around for the likely hiding place. Managed to find and replace without drawing too much attention. Left a signature token
12:31. A much appreciated quick find, TFTC, loved the chapel conversion. Exploring further will have to wait for another visit....
TregearP and I stopped here on our way to Mautapu Bay where I spent many years holidaying some years previous.
Its really interesting to see how this area has changed since the mid 70's when I started visiting regularly.
Very quiet here on ANZAC Day mid morning, all in good order, TNLNSL & TFTC.

Enjoying four days in Nelson Tasman area with perfect weather, had a lot to do but found time for a few caches while out and about and heading back to the ferry TFTC
The fog didn't disappear in Picton so i started my way to Motueka. But a little trail had to be done on my way. So i changed the street here and made a little stop to sign the logbook. Thanks for hiding!
Heading back to Nelson after four days on a school camp. HorsegirlNZ and two classmates made up a tired contingent who were keen for a stop and a leg-stretch after the windy road down from Mistletoe Bay.
Knowing of this easy cache here, I suggested this would be a good place to stop, so whilst they grabbed some fresh air, I waited for a hire car and camper van to set off before darting across the road.
A quick park and grab that's done well to stand the test of time here, but that's the way it goes I guess.
Thanks

Soon found cache, then studied the boards, very interesting. Greetings from the UK. TFTC #7195
Our journey takes us to Wellington today. And on the way we could find a few caches.
Thanks for showing this place and hidding the cache.
Greetings from Germany!!!

Day # 9 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today's rainy tour took me from Nelson to Picton.
The morning was quite OK in Nelson, so I could get some treasures there.
But then the weather turned again to more than sh...y throughout the major part of the trip ..
Hey, South Island, what are you doing to me?
Rain, rain, rain [xx(] No stop...[xx(]
Needless to say, that most of the treasures that were waiting along the scenic road had to remain undiscovered due to flooding , heavy cats and dogs-rain [B)] and general 'I am not gonna leave the car now' - feeling [B)] .
But finally - approaching Picton - the weather cleared up a little, and so I could make a little evening-hunt in Picton. Cool!.
The day was a bit exhausting but finally was rewarded with 17 finds and 'home ‘n dry' [^] !
Wet is wet? - No! This one made me Superwet! [B)]
Hey - Nelson and Picton you have cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Cheers from Germany

today was another nice day for our holiday trip in new zealand were we of course also found some caches along the way from Hokitika to murchison.
This is one of them. thank you for maintaining this cache.

We got off the ferry in the early afternoon and followed the scenic road along the coast in direction of Nelson. Finally we didn't go very far because we stopped all the time for caches. Even a good park and grab takes a couple of minutes to log and to put back. Anyway, we enjoyed the stunning views until the light drizzle became a heavy rain, and we started to look for a campsite. Thanks to the owners for all these nice caches!
With the Grovetown CITO behind me, its off to Linkwater School for their fun day and a few caches on the way.
Great info boards here. Inspires me to explore the sounds. Cheers

Quick find. Had to park the car to shield us a little from the farmers and passing traffic! tftc
Easy find but covered in earth worm excrement haha. The sign is sure a good guise to seem normal to muggles.
A quick find on our way to Ohingaroa. Picked up travel bug here so will take it for a ride to some other destination. TFTC.
