Day Three: Keith to Adelaide
Weather: cool with light rain.
My second other-side-of-the-tracks cache for the day, and this time I parked on the same side as the cache, and then continued along the service road into Coonalpyn. Just missed a passing train here too.
Thanks for the journey breaker Beaker.

TFTC. Totally waterlogged. Dried everything as best we could. Lid badly damaged. Added a few pages for log in new plastic bag and placed glad wrap over it. Baby left.
Having come down to Naracoorte to explore the caves and do some caching, today was the day to finally drive home; of course, though, I had to find a few caches along the way. I left this cache as I figured it would be easier to do on the way home, take the dirt road, park, find the cache and continue on my way. This plan turned out to be easy to execute. I took the dirt road, parked, walked to the cache, quickly found it, signed the log, returned it, and I was on my way. An enjoyable cache in an enjoyable area.

Another move was made to go a bit further north with goingplaces2 and just doing a bit of caching along the way. This cache was quickly found, signing dutoes were done and we were on our way again. TFTC.
With another fine day happening we were on the road again with ilook4geo. This was one of the caches we found and both names were soon noted on the log to mark our visit. Thank you to Beaker for placing this cache.
Caching day out and a wee tour of the area with Wollaston, Liz&Bruce and HoneySucker.

Found room on one of several extra log sheets that are here with the full log book. Very quiet side road.
Stopped at the Showgrounds for lunch on our way home. Given we were already on the wrong side of the tracks, we stayed there to get this cache. Quick find once we reached GZ. Unfortunately a train had past whilst we were having lunch - would have been a good place to watch it go by. Tftc
Day 424 ( Monday 25th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. Heading out of Keith today. A total of 3 for the day and 7422 the trip. A grand total of 17,390 caches. TFTC
Missed a date in the South East earlier this year due to the dreaded plague.
Took a drive that way this weekend with Sebastbat to make up for it a little.
Went to the dark side of the tracks.
We found your cache -Beaker- thanks for putting it out here!
Stay safe, sanitise, exercise, cache the regions ! ! !

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Glencoe and Mount Gambier for some scuba diving, 4WD and geocaching/sightseeing adventures. Saturday was spent cave diving, Sunday was used to dive Ewens Ponds and 4WD along the southen coast from Port MacDonnell to Blackfellows Caves, while Monday we drove back to Adelaide via Millicent, Southend, Beachport, and Cape Jaffa. A busy long weekend in the south-east.
Today, we made the drive from Adelaide to Glencoe. We left after work, and so it was a long drive mostly in the dark, making a dinner stop in Naracoorte.
We were on the side of the railway tracks opposite to the highway, which had placed us closer to this cache. So perhaps on the right side of the tracks today! This took a few minutes for us to find this one, and it turns out it was wood covering the cache, not a small pile of rocks as per the hint's suggestion. The cache container had a small amount of water at the bottom, and the and the logbook was full with added paper, so it may be time for a replacement logbook soon. Thanks [@-Beaker-](http://coord.info/PRN1VJ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found as we passed through the area, we have never been to this side of the tracks before so was fun to find out about those on the wrong side, not sure which is the wrong side through lol, The youngest team member made the find, log signed and we soon passed back to the other side TFTC and the fun
Found on the way back from Melbourne. Good to stop and get some fresh air and stretch the legs. Left a couple of pathtags. TFTC
We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero where fortunately having followed instructions we found ourselves on the right side of the tracks! We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. We had camped overnight in Tintinara. We decided to use that as a base today to venture further afield to feed our caching habit. The day would see us complete 76 caches and 4 DNFs. The number was helped by the Pope’s Trail. Had a good day enjoying the sunshine , the Silo Art at Coonalypn and a run up the Yumali road. Thanks to all the cache owners for a great day’s entertainment/
Quick find
Today I was going from Ballarat to Adelaide, with 2 events being hosted I was restricted to the time I spent in Ballarat for the morning so I went around picking up multis and puzzles with some very enjoyable locations visited. I collected a few along the way to the 2nd event of the day in coonalpyn and then finished off with half a new series in Murray Bridge. A total of just over 50 finds for the day and 500km driving.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Love finding caches in stange places - dont love the spider webs, but that's not your fault !! What a lovely walk and decent rocks to clamber over!
After spending the long weekend in Tailem Bend on a spur of the moment caching trip it was time to head towards home and pick a up a few caches on my way to my next stop St Arnaud.
As I was taking the back road for this one I was actually on the right side of the track for this one.
Now what Category do I fall in for this one.
Thanks Beaker TFTC.

Found on Australia Day on the way to Mount Gambier. Thanks for a stopping point on the way. Great way to break up the trip.
A few days away with Freddo and Four Fun down to Mt Gambier.
We picked up caches as we went.

This has been a long standing unfound for me, in fact the only only up to the border, but it's on the wrong side of the way on the way out and n teh way home we dont have time.
Today we made time and it's finally off the list.

After leaving Naracoorte late this afternoon I knew I would be on the right side of the track on my way home...even though it was daylight saving I was hoping to beat the sunset...
I arrived at GZ with just enough light to work out where I was & GZ...
A cache I have been wanting to grab for a while but until now was always going the other way...

Day 3 of 3 - Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache from Adelaide to Wedderburn, Victoria. The aim of the trip was to attend "A Day Out in Wedderburn 2016" all day caching event (TICK [^] ) and then enjoy the Evening Meal event (TICK [^] ).
During this weekend we found some fun and creative caches and caught up with our Victorian geofriends once again.
The funny one-liner comments flowed all weekend and my belly hurt from all of the laughter!! [:o)] [^].
Unfortunately we had a minor car accident Friday night whilst traveling to Wedderburn [B)] - lost control of the vehicle (fortunately we were traveling very slowly) and we got bogged on a wet and slippery Victorian country dirt road [xx(] ...ummmm.....at the time we may have been heading toward a possible gold which we missed , however we did eventually get out of the mud after a long wait and exchanging a fair bit of cash [:(!].
I LOVE geocaching [:X], but I HATE mud [:(!]!! LOL
Thanks for the cache

Day 3 of the roadtrip with GoodLook and CPwanderer to attend the A Day Out in Wedderburn event We left early to head for home and so we didn't attend breakfast Next Year! [^]
Driving home involves a long drive and lots of caches and all up, between the first cache find at 8.38am and the last cache find at 00.36am the following day I found 36 caches and only had 1 DNF at a cache that we already presumed to be missing
We had a blast finding caches by The Old Blokes around the area and vowed that we Must come back to find more, they are so good! [^]
Muggle partner kindly drove up to meet GoodLook and I at the bottom of the freeway at about 2.30am so that she didn't have to drive for another 2 hours in order to get me home [^]
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
CP kindly explained to us which was the right side fo the tracks and then the cache was found
Me, I'm always on the right side of the tracks and never on the wrong side

A quick find as we make our way to Victoria for a caching holiday,no train as we grabbed this one although it would have been cool to see a train. TFTC
We've driven past this one a few times now but today seemed like a good day to finally make the stop and find. The walk in was booby trapped with spider webs strung between the trees but battled through and made it over the track (no trains today) for a relatively quick find. TFTC Beaker onwards to Adelaide
After meeting up in Bordertown last night with Team Crackers, The Drovers and Micaparamedic we headed off to cache the SA series and some local caches. We found a variety of different caches and this was one of them.
We signed the log as CDKM as we made our way to Mannum for the night before we head further west.

Bashed our way through the bush and over the railway line and then found there was an easier way to get to the cache. Easy find despite the spiders and webs everywhere. TFTC
Crossed over to the Dark Side and found it. As I crossed back I thought about laying my head on the tracks to check out the "Old Wives Tale" to see if I could hear a train coming but thought better of it. No sooner I was back in the GeoVan and on my way when sure enough a goods train came belting along. Phew!!!!! TFTC

This was one of the caches I found on my travels.
It was another great day for caching, with the first signs of summer in spring. (Bring it on.)
After staying in Ouyen over night, it was a new day and also there were caches to be found.
Yep I went to see what was on the wrong side of the tracks and found a cache! The log was duly signed.

On the road again - Tailem Bend to St Arnaud. The occasional cache on the road.
Are you sure this is the wrong side, it could be the other.
Personally, I would say this is the right side as we found a cache here!
A nice detour off the Dukes.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 8399. Today's journey takes us from Tailem Bend to St Arnaud so we start with a few in town and find a few along the journey.
We found the road to the wrong side of the tracks. I did not want to bush bash and go over the line to find this one. There is a nice house facade in the paddocks nearby. Just the kind of place I would like to renovate.

At first I didn't realise there was a road on the other side of the rail line, made finding the cache much easier when I found the right road. By the way , the trains go past very fast, we saw one.
A night time find for me, missed this one last few trips east. Actually my bestie got out in the dark and signed this one for me, I was nice and warm sipping my hot chocolate in the car. TFTC
