A morning with baby Cottontail and [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PR16461251) riding the Bulimba Creek Bikeway whilst visiting and finding the first instalment of the *Bulimba Bikeway Bison Bash* (BBBB) series. Regarding our bike ride, I parked on Holmead Road opposite McKinlay-Davey Park, and I rode a total distance of 17.0 km across an elevation of 185 m, with a moving time of 1:20 hr and elapsed time of 3:40 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/10691382505). It was an enjoyable ride that passed through Maisie Dixon Park, Malinya Place Park, and Holmead Park with plenty of shade, completing a large circuit as we returned to our vehicle. After farewelling [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PR16461251), we visited Priestdale Road Park, and cycled north-west along the motorway's bikeway.Whilst on bikes within the area, grabbing this geocache would be ideal given our transportation mode. We arrived at GZ, and I was pleased that this cache was a quick find; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks culture50 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This morning, baby Cottontail and I joined [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PR16461251) to ride instalment #1 of the *Bulimba Bikeway Bison Bash* (BBBB) series by bike, riding north and then west from Holmead Road to Logan Road through the Maisie Dixon Park, Malinya Place Park, and Holmead Park, before returning along Holmead Road. Baby Cottontail and I then hopped across the Pacific Motorway and visited the Priestdale Road Park, and then cycled north-west along the motorway's bikeway. An enjoyable couple of hours of riding adjacent to Bulimba Creek on a nice/pleasant morning.
Back into routines this week and even though it's a public holiday today my kids still have dancing lessons this evening. So I dropped them off and headed down to grab some caches along the M1 bikeway where I knew it would be much quieter than usual today. I parked at the Holmead Dog Park and rode from there to the southern side of the motorway. It's a hot day and I was soon drenched with sweat but somehow it always feels cooler when you are going fast on a bike than when walking.Despite the original description this section of bikeway is now very busy on most days. Being a public holiday it was fairly quiet today. There were still a few crazies out in the heat riding for fun though (like me) and I had to be careful not to be seen. I checked a few spots and soon spotted the cache. Thanks culture50 for the cache and for bringing me down a new bike path.
On a rather overcast morning in Brisbane,I headed out after this mornings event to chase a few caches on the south side. After finding a safe place to park the car I pottered over to ground zero and quickly located the much sort after prize. Log extracted and moniker applied I quickly returned to the car and took was off to the next find.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for fellow cachers to find.Cheers
The journey down the bike path certainly was. Quick encounter with a caching log soon ensued. Thanks for the cache and

Had to leave work early and found it without the pressure of passing muggles. Thanks!
Decided to drop in on my escooter and take a ride on the bike way after a hospital visit. Had a little trouble with one of them but managed to do this one.

We decided we couldn't leave this one sitting all by itself so we took a slight detour on our mornings walk to grab it. This is a very busy bike path here and you have to be alert all the time so as not to run down .

A very aptly named cache… as I approached GZ I finally got passed by a cyclist but he appeared to pay me no attention…
A quick find at GZ, and after replacing the snap lock bag I returned everything as found… tftc…

Out for a nice afternoon stroll and found myself heading along the pathway towards this one. With a quick hunt the cache was in hand and the log signed. Replacement was delayed as a peddle powered muggle went by.

A quick scooter ride 500m from last cache. Found quickly but got a jump scare from the gecko who was guarding it. TFTC.
After work I decided to take a bike ride around here and this was my last find for today. At gz I lent my bike to start looking and there it was. Yippee. Enjoyed the ride along here even with the noise. Thanks for the fun
GPS took me str8 2 it, despite all the metal...PARDON TFTC, which I did on foot
Wow, almost ten years now this cache has been here, taunting passing geovehicles into nudging their owners to walk here from afar.
Except i have a bike, and seeing as i was rolling on by, i figured why not stop and hunt some noise.
Quicksmart too, then off i zoomed.
Thanks culture50 for hiding a cache here to taunt the non-cyclists.

Having a new bicycle I was able to do some legal excising around this area with a few stops finding geocaches.
This was one of them which could be found easily.

Took way too long to find for such an easy hide! I thought it'd be the same as round the twist, but it's a bit different. Interesting little side track. Seems like it should meet up with the road that 'road to nowhere' is hidden on.
Started my November challenge by a morning walk to this cache.
Last cache close enough to work for a walk, feel proud of myself for not grabbing this one much earlier.
All I need now is to find another 289 before the month is over.
I could complete duties at GZ without any cyclists running me down.
Thank you for hiding this one.

I found this cache (Mrs STW on her own) after the nearby "Round the Twist", making a mistake of assuming it might be a similar cache or similar hide. The longer version of the even longer saga of the bicycle tube is included in the other log, the short version of that being that due to a flat tyre, Mr STW hadn't come along.
I managed to search every one of the possible hiding spots before discovering the cache in the VERY LAST ONE! I love the bicycle path, and agree that it is very noisy! What a great resource! Even though today was a public holiday, there was little traffic on the bikeway. I'm assuming that the noisy and utilitarian nature of the path would tend to attract cyclist commuting to work and other places of interest, and that most cyclists out for a weekend cycle would choose a more attractive or quieter place to spend their leisure hours. Of course, that would not apply to cyclists who engage in the questionable and addictive pastime that is geocache, who today had the bike path almost all to themselves!

After lunch with T-Tech, I gathered a couple of caches before heading home.
I walked down from Miles Platting Rd, and was surprised to not see a single bike rider! A quick find at GZ. TFTC, culture50.

Out with Geopartner for a few caches in the area.
Oops not supposed to be walking.
If anyone comes I will have to pretend to pedal.
Very noisy along here. Cant concentrate or even think.
Heat pounding off the wall when you have to keep left on the way back.
A nice quick find and signed the log and returned to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks culture50 All good with this cache

Quick find. I just followed the old Indian couple down the path and then waited for them to pass before making the grab
hmmm … well that is confusing
gps says to walk this way to garden city
co says cache is accessible
but as i walk along the path the signs say 'cycles only'
oh well too late now
not turning back

TFTC... 21/8/17. Tough Mothers out for a drive. Eh! What you say? No bikes, lots of traffic. Noise too.
Found with lisylou, bennyboppers, jemillalucy and REMSJW (aka the tough mothers)
Sure is noisy here. Needed a cache for my daily fix but also needed a cache for my souvenir, so I took the hike down the track to collect this one. Quickly had it in my hot little fist, signed the log and replaced cache as found then off for my trot back to the car. TFTC
Out on my new MTB today to grab my daily cache. I'd targeted this one today to let me have a good run on my bike to build my leg muscles a little bit
Great feeling of freedom and exhilaration when riding down the hills [^] When you get to the hill climb parts that feeling soon dissipated though You can tell bike riding is not something I do every day lol
My ride today was only eleven kilometers round trip, so I didn't exhaust myself too much thank goodness
It was a fairly quick find at ground zero. I dutifully signed the log sheet, but now I'm thinking I put the wrong date [?] Definitely Thursday today, so should have put the twenty third of February. I'll check next time I ride past, and change it if needs be
Thanks very much for placing this cache here culture50
Edit log: I should note here that some of the online logs for this cache are not to be seen on the actual logsheet [?] I have a feeling there may be two caches at this location [?] The cache container I found was a painted eclipse tin with magnet inside.

Well, this cache had just been sitting on the map looking back at me every time I was near Mount Gravatt for a little too long. So today I decided to do something about it.
Feeling up to the walk I parked at Garden City and wound my way along the footpaths and such towards the best access point. I was glad I brought my lunch in a shopping bag to eat along the way as there was plenty of rubbish to pick up, well I filled the bag and could probably have filled another 10 if I had them and the hands to carry. But hey one bag is better than none.
Anyway cache was quickly found once at GZ and I got it signed and replaced before retracing my steps back to the car.

Although it was a little bit of a risky hike, I couldn't resist the opportunity to take this one off the map today as well. A fast walk in the middle of the day took me to GZ but I missed the cache on the first pass. I looked all over before trying again, more slowly. This time, a familiar shape made its way into my hand and all was well. After another fast walk back, I decided to take the adventurous shortcut over a small fence and then a large one to get back to my car faster. The labyrinth of the office park then almost consumed me, but I lived to tell the tale and hopefully have not triggered alarms via any security cameras recording my antics.
TFTC where all is fine.

Tried to get this one on Thursday but went about it the wrong way. Tried to come in via the side street and came across a fence and then a gated housing complex, so had to call off the attempt and try the long way.
After dropping hubby off at the airport this morning, and as it is a Public Holiday today, traffic would be less than normal. Parked near OPAL home and took the walk along this bikeway to GZ. Traffic still buzzing by but probably not as noisy as on a week day.
Cache found, signed my name and returned it to its hide. Now for the walk back to the car. Had to watch for cyclists buzzing by as well.

It looks like it's been taken found place where it look likes it has been.
Found plenty of clues such as sticky tape, glue marks and scrathes on the suspected area, but no cache. Possibly stolen?
After a work meeting this morning, I decided to find a few caches. Nice easy find. TFTC Culture50!
So noisy, yes, but even more noticable is the smell of car fumes, How do cyclists breathe while expending so much energy? And yes, you don't have to bend, so TFTC. Found at 12.30on on 24th Jan 2015.
Not as small as #2, thank goodness.
I've always wanted to ride down here. Thank you.
I saw a building by the bike path with huge letters on it saying "NOISE". Shoulda brought my camera along :/
I would not come here to read a book.
You may not need to bend over to grab it but you surely might to see it. I admire your misleading ways, Culture50.
Nice hide. TFTC.

#8 little further down the track then No:2 but a fair bit easier. Find 3 for the day in nice little area for hunting.
So after finding our way to the previous caches this one was easy to get to as we continued along the path. I was lucky enough to make a fairly quick find here. TFTC culture50
Kestal and I tried to approach this from the wrong direction, I living nearby kept thinking it was an easy cache to pop in and do one day. Hmmm you can't do that, duh, think, got it, back in cars ahh that will work, nice walk and kestal had it in hand in no time. TFTC
Out for a Sunday bike ride. Found after looking on the wrong side for a while. TFTC.
5183. Had a look at this area the other day but didn't have time to do any caches. Went back today with a sort of plan to do about seven caches. This was our first success - very easy - didn't see the sign about cycles only! Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
Up North for another dentist appointment today and another opportunity to check out some caches.
I had just found "Round The Twist" so I took the bikeway to here and it was so much easier approaching from this direction.
Boy talk about Nosiy!!
I liked the hint as it narrowed my search area, I looked around for a little while and then I spotted my prize.
It really blended in with it's surroundings.
Thanks Culture 50 TFTC SL

Cache #23 / 25 on my 150km geocaching cycle day from Mt Cotton to Boondall Wetlands and back through the city.
I made this one much more difficult than necessary. But eventually I found it. TFTC.

We probably should have taken the cycle path, but we did find another way to GZ this morning.
This was a close to where we were staying - so a must do cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 1022. The 2nd cache of the day and certainly not as easy to access as the 1st. We were parked nearby and unfortunately not finding it by bicycle. Some sneaky bush-bashing had to take place and eventually we were able to get onto the path next to the road and walk to GZ. Didn't take us to long to find, log and hide and so we were on our way back to the car. TFTC
Finding access to this cache from the nearby back streets was a challenge. We knew where we had to be but how to get there. Turns out there was a way and not so hard after all.
Once on the cycle path it was a 100m or so stroll to the cache.
Thanks culture50

Really enjoyed this one! Found it much faster than I expected to but great spot TFTC!
