Hmmm went to retrieve my archived cache but could not find the container! Also discovered I have lost a lot of flexibility& the hike now seems much more daunting & scarier than previously ( & the %$#@! gorse has grown, making handhold more difficult)
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
sorry folks, been meaning to get out there to check if it is actually missing... and to replace with a new container in a slightly better spot anyway. but the spot is free now for the mo, so will see if someone beats me to it!
Had a good look around GZ. Couldn't see the cache. Carried on up to the top where the post is, great views from here, very windy. Please can you replace. its a great spot for a cache.
Went as high as I dared along what appeared to be a likely path, but decided that discretion was the better part of valour. Got a good workout though! And the view was amazing!
We decided to give this a go after no luck with "Guided by the Hwæl" in the carpark. This track gave us quite a workout but we were rewarded with stunning views at the top. We got part way up the unformed but obvious track before the height and I had a disagreement. HappyFacedBandit pushed on best she could but couldn't see the cache either. Will have to pluck up a bit more courage/fitness to try this again
#534 I gave up on this cache and started heading down. Stop! Did I seriously have a good enough look or was my respect for gravity and hatred of grouse affecting my judgement? I scampered back up and crawled to GZ. This cache should be visible. It's not a camo micro hanging in the woods. Found and not too difficult. I do need to work in my flexibility. Going down was not super easy. TFT(challenging)C.
Oops dropped it as retrieving it so had to go down the bank to get it! Left our pen behind so didn't write in it - gorgeous views
found out on a grey long weekend day. no writing stick so unable to log our visit on site. cache very wet! awesome spot. great views up top (high wind made for an exciting climb!). thanks for placing
Our last cache of the day and what a memorable find it was. Mr P went up to the top and lumbered up with my hobbit legs and surprised myself. Not good with heights, rocks and gorse I still made it and made the find. (A favourite point). T4tc
Up to stay the weekend at Taurikura Bay, so did the loop track walk from Tiller Park. A steep ascent. and wonderful views. Mrs Jackson stopped on the grassy knoll, but the rest of us continued to the top (after a failed hunt by Mr Jacksonz). On the way back down Miss Jacksonz easily spotted the hide. Thanks for the cache, and incentive to go to the top of this peak.
Good place for a nice easy find, log was dry and there was a few items inside put a small shark in and didn't take anything out. Tftc ☺
Began the ascent on the offtrack trail but 'the follower' got chicken after the heavy rain last night and stopped 20ms short....so not really a 'did not find' but more like a 'did not attempt.'
Tough walk, great views. Glad to pick this one up after the effort to get there. Went all the way to the top since we were so close. TFTC
Mature people who are not as flexible as they once were, should take care. An easy find once you have reached the co-ordinates. TFTC
Only just figured out how to log finds! Found it on the 02/04/12. Too windy to make it too the very top. Cache almost fallen down but reattached it. TFTC
I'm not sure if this truly needs to be disabled?....
The track is still officially closed from the Tiller Park side, but friends have tramped through anyway... I still have not had time to check on the cache itself though. It may still be there & accessable, but please use common sense & caution.

Thanks for the notice Riser5; still haven't been out to check on it, but just read a notice on the District Council website saying Alert: track closed until further notice due to a major slip. It will be closed indefinitely.

Had to drag my family to find this one, gps said 200 meters from the road but soon found it doesn't indicate vertical metres. However view from the top was fantastic! Had no pen so took a photo of the cache and view from the top. TFTC
An overcast morning and a perfect oportunity to tackle the steps to Mt Aubrey. I looked at that very pointy rock and thought the Mermaid has lost her scales (& marbles !) if she has put it on top of that. Well lucky for me it wasn't at that location and managed a find with out too many heart wrenching moments. Wonderful views...even if my eyes were closed being so close to the edge. TFTC
A great little climb up to this one. A lot of gorse at the top slowed the search but reading the clues again soon had the cache in had. A hot day for it though.

Was planning to plant a couple of caches out here but beaten to it. Always wanted to go up Mt Aubrey and loved the walk and views.Found the cache easily and co-ords bang on.In bangle, out Pirate TB.TFTC.
First time up here, found cache easily and carried on to top, saw some muggles on top of the other peak.TFTC.
#172 YAY FTF a week after publishing. Had to go to work early this morning and then decided to go for a cache hunt. Asked ryrinator99 if he was keen to go find it, but he was already on his way out there. Met him at the top of the hill and got a combined FTF.
FTF. Tried to beat riser5 who tipped me off about a new ftf. Beat him to GZ by 10 minutes but couldn't find it. WHICH ROCK? Oh well, riser 5 turned up and graciously noted it a combined ftf gctp drop
