I have revisted the cache, l knew the spot where l last logged it, it seems to have gone missing.
I even checked the ground to make sure it did not slipped thru the cracks in the stump.

After texting my pff (previous finder fried) they gave me the exact location of cache, but it was not there, however a few rainbow lorikeets have taken up nesting in the hollows of these trees, and they were not liking my presence especially sticking my hand in their nest. Probably needs a new hiding place if CO ever decides to get this up and going again
This cache would appear to be in need of owner intervention, therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Add another DNF from me. I have a theory that once you have one DNF logged, even if the cache is still there any subsuquent caches who come along might not try as hard to find it and will log a DNF. This of course is amplified as the DNFs add up. The only way to break it is for someone to find it. Then of course there is always the chance that it really isn't there...
Edit:Changed to a Didn't find it after I accidentally logged a find.

First go at it so not that disappointed... With @carkisser and @sando23468 #DNF #illBeBack
@16:33. I was out caching with Burge today and despite 28 finds on this run so far, this was our first DNF. We gave this one a good look but when we couldn't find it, we decided to press on.
My apologies, I accidently logged this one as „found“. Thanks to MasterIschi I got aware and changed it to a “not found”.
We looked high (not too high) and low all over the place but couldn’t find anything.
We looked high (not too high) and low all over the place but couldn’t find anything.
Arthur and Dent together with MasterIschi decided to come back for another cache run to grab a few caches out here and along the Yarra river. Many thanks to all cache owners for all the effort they put into their caches.
I'd read the logs and did not really expect to find this, so I'm not disappointed. Actually, I'm still laughing from when I first approached GZ. A camouflaged micro here? hahahahahahaha! There were no muggles today, just a few driving past so I did have a long look and feel around but still came up empty handed. Ah well, I enjoyed the challenge and I'll try again another day.
Another one that has been bugging me as this was the second attempt. My advice.. Don't give up. Very nice hide! Tftc
I checked this cache about a month ago. It is still where I found it and still had my pathtag in it.

It's interesting to see so many finds in earlier logs with so many DNFs for more recent logs. Add us to those who DNF this one. We had a good look around but did not find the cache. This is either a very difficult cache or possibly missing considering the numbers of recent DNFs.
Searched with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic without any luck, maybe next time.
I'm down in Melbourne with T-Tech visiting relatives for Christmas, and while I'm here I want to grab as many caches as possible to fill in gaps on my Jasmer grid, as well as some of the more unusual icons. We saw this one as we headed off on a walk to some other caches, and on our way back we thought we'd give it a go. But after searching diligently for more than 30 minutes, I came up empty-handed Either the difficulty rating on this one is too low, or the cache is not here. Add me to the DNF's
Armed with torch and geoparents still our 20 minute search found nothing. The annoying part is that this cache is on my watchlist so I will get an email highlighting my failed search!!
Following the TurnerfamilyFTG's log, I thought I should write a note to say that I have returned to look for this cache three times (yes, I know, obsessed). I have emailed CO and he confirmed where we should be looking and still we couldn't find it. So don't feel too bad Turners! We might give this one more shot next time we are in the area - but I'm starting to fear it may not be there.
Surely if only 1 person out of the last 12 can find it, perhaps the difficulty should be raised above the 1.5 it is now. Just a suggestion...
Looked around for quite a while but to no avail. Saw the lorikeets coming and going though! Also, be careful poking around in the holes. We spotted a number of Victorian funnel web spiders. Use a stick. Will have to come back and try again another day.
Feel like I'm very intimate with these logs now after poking around in every nook but still didn't find it! Master D had fun climbing around so we will be back to try again!
This afternoon on our way home from lunch we decided to pick up a few caches, when we first cached this part of Westerfolds a couple of months ago we had not even attempted to search for this one due to so many dnf's. After seeing Datruk had noted the cache to be still be in play we made our way here, with spot on gps coordinates and after quiet a bit of searching and poking into dark places we came up with the well hidden cache. tftc Datruk, we left behind our new pathtag as a prize for the next finder of this tricky hide.
Tried to do this cache today with no luck. Could the Cache Owner please come and check on it as with all the DNF's on the cache page I suspect it has gone. Thanks Datruk

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! The resident magpie kept a keen eye on what we were doing.
NOTE TO CO:- Given the number of recent DNF's since 11/5 (7), this must be a very tricky 1.5 (and perhaps needs a DR review) or it's missing. Just wonder if you'd be able to check to ensure it's still there please Datruk.
Thanks for the hunt anyway Datruk .

Another dnf despite a considerable time spent searching. It must be a very good hide, or it's missing in action.
Crusty.
Crusty.
Had a quick look but recent logs suggested there would be no cache so after a quick search in all the obvious spots moved on.
Looked high and low and couldn't see it anywhere. Its right near my nannas place so ill be back for this one.
I had noticed a string of DNFs on this cache so I had a look while I was passing. It wasn't where I found it 5 months ago and it didn't seem to be anywhere nearby. I'm guessing it has gone.
Spent a good 30 minutes looking here today. No one at all in the park which made searching easy but couldn't come up with anything. Seems very hard with a lot of potential hiding places for a difficulty 1.5. Either that or it's not actually there. (Reminds me of "Hidden Diamond" where I have exactly the same problem).
At the end of a long day I noticed this cache nearby. I had a climb around and a search but with no luck. May need a longer search and a torch!
Tricky little hide that had us scratching our heads for awhile. A cool little spot climbing between the trees. No one was around at the time which gave us time to search for the cache.
Took my nephews and sister for a walk during the school holidays. Was great fun teaching them about geocaching. This was our third and final one for the day, We spent ages searching for this and could not find it anywhere. looks like it may have been moved or destroyed. Any additional hints may help.
Looking at the hide location and the cache description I was expecting to have trouble finding this cache but thanks to some good co-ordinates and the GPSr behaving itself, a quick find was achieved. tftc
Finding the cache was not as hard as it first seemed. The coordinates were good. tftc

Oh very hot day but still few muggles around.
I almost loos hope but after a small break, I decided to give a last shoot.
luckily I managed to find it.

At last, after 3 DNF's, I have found a cache today...one is all I wanted to keep my "cache a day" sequence running but it was such hard work... This was my second attempt at this cache. The first time I came, nearby muggles meant that I was restricted in where I could search.
Today I had the same problem of nearby muggles but fortunately they were in a different location and this allowed me to search where I couldn't last time. And this time, I found the cache. I was able to extract it, complete the formalities and return it without being observed.
Thanks Datruk for this cache.

An earlier attempt at this had proved fruitless during a period of drought for this treasure.
Today though when the park was being fully used the bananas made a second attempt.
Long studied searches with minimum technology gave us an understanding of the whole site.
But today we came up trumps. Well done bananas

SanguineDragonflye and I set out to tackle a whole bunch of caches in the area today, and this was find #12 out of 15.
This area is wayyyy too much fun for a pair of twentysomethings to ignore! Thanks so much for the cache, Datruk

Excellent hide! After giving up yesterday afternoon, we returned this morning to give it another go. Fantastic place as there are so many possible hiding places. Frustrating search but fun in the end. The beautiful residents came out to say hello as we were leaving. Tftc

My dear companion laughed as I swore when we drove into the car park and saw what was obviously the object of interest. This hunt had the potential to be a nightmare.
The first stroke of luck was that, though one of the barbecues was in use, it was the one obscured by the Resting Fellas, so we could search in peace. The second was that I managed to lay my hands on the cache within the first minute, much to my surprise.

Great tree. My kids have played all over this tree when they were younger. TFTC
After having some lunch we headed to Westerfolds Park for a "walk"... This was the first cache on the list although we didn't find it until after we had found the other's first
The GPSr was certain on a spot and we began the hunt... Coming up with nothing we widened the search and eventually ended up at the start again, taking a second look no luck. The kids were getting sick of it so I decided to move on
After finding the other caches in the area we headed back to the car and decided we would have another quick look I looked at the cache page and saw that Sushi Wushi had just found it [^] So it was definately there, and I wasn't leaving until I found it! Luckily I spotted it straight away, I must have been looking it at it from the right angle
This is a great park for caching and probably worthy of a few more TFTC Datruk Cache is in good condition and dry.

Good little hid - had me 'stumped' to begin with but eventually found it. TFTC!
Have just joined. Finally logging after finding several weeks ago. This was our first film cannister find and were pretty happy about it!
A small collection of muggles inspecting the BBQ nearby. They kindly moved on quickly and this allowed me to locate the cache without doing too much climbing ( which was probably wise for a person of my seniority and lack of good balance. This was my 4th for Westerfolds today - an enjoyable morning's 'work'. TFTC
Came back for a second look after being chased off by angry "residents" last time I was passing. Got it today but some new "residents" still weren't too impressed with my presence. I must look like a cat or something!!! Great park and wonderful facilities although no one was making use of them today.
We found this cache today at 12:30pm as the 9th of 10 on a Sunday Lunchtime wander. When we were last here about a year and a half ago there were people everywhere and it turned out that the cache was missing anyway. Today it was in our hands within a minute of arriving GZ. Always satisfying to log a find on a previous DNF. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
A lovely sunny mid week morning. Just right for a walk in the park. I'd considered this one before but it had always been too busy. No one around today. My gizmo took me where others had looked. Not there. So I widened the search and there it was. Thanks Datruk.
You know, my husband and I had our wedding photos in this very place 10 years ago. It was so great to go back with my five year old daughter today and clamber over the huge old logs together. Must confess, I couldn't find the cache, but my little girl did. Great spot. Thanks so much, lovely day, lovely spot, lovely memories.
Found with Rebel Acts, This was a quick find this time for the Rebel, we have ridden our bikes along here several times. Thanks for the cache.
Found while out caching with Crazy! Nat Girl, after spending an hour looking for this last time I was here, this turned out to be a nice quick find in a very familiar location, no personal training going on today but dog training was in progress. Thanks Laurie for the cache.
Magnificent trees. Dropped gc, picked up tb. Tftc

Went our for a walk with geo friend and dog. Dropped off trackable. Picked up geo coin.
Slipped out of the office at lunchtime today to get something to eat, some fresh air and a cache. I came here a while back to find some other hides in Westerfolds Park but this one was missing at that time. Being a cold and drizzly day there weren't many muggles about. The GPSr took me thereabouts and then I spotted the sneaky hide. I retrieved the container from its hidey-hole and then signed the log at 2:15pm.
TNLN. Thanks Datruk for putting a cache in such an interesting spot. It must have been a massive tree in its day.

Found at about 14.00. Although the cache description mentions a camouflaged container the camo appears to have gone leaving a standard film canister. (Thinks - with the movement across to digital photography are these 35 mm canisters destined to become collector items. But I digress.) Certainly a very open site which is difficult to approach and search without attracting the attention of others in the area. TonyGold
Found this one whilst passing by.. a brisk walk in and a quick find, thanks mostly to the good coords.. I've got this park on my list for a daytime pushbike ride to collect the further in caches.. Thanks Datruk for the hide and the cache a day.. I attempted to convince the gate to allow me to drive in, theres a trick that involves a bit of wire pretending to be a car, however the gate was smarter than me this time, thus I had to walk in.. nice night for a stroll.. my second stroll for the night nowever and my little legs were getting tired.. Thanks for the cache and find #2753
What beautiful trees these have been. I walked in circles at GPS co-ords, stopped, then tried again and soon had cache in hand.
Found this one a while back (sorry for the late log and am uncertain exactly which day I found it - it was a weekday probably a Thursday in June 2012). I had previously looked for this one with Irontoad with no success. On my second attempt, it was a nice quick find as something looked out of place and viola there was the cache. Took nothing, left nothing and signed log.
Thanks for the cache Datruk.

The new resident was pretty grumpy today and obviously didn't like us hanging around so we abandoned our search. Will definitely be back!
Spectacular trees Like other posts wow where could it be but found relatively easily tftc
