Beautiful day but cache looking a little sad good fun to throw some stones and do some rock hopping
Not sure if I spotted D'Urville but yes the container, unfortunately without a lid.As the description mentions he can't maintain it, maybe the next finder reads this and can bring a new container? Sorry I didn't have one with me today.Enjoyed a walk along the waterfront on this beautiful sunny Sunday.
A fun one to find. Its rather salty and you cant write in the logbook but its worth looking for.
I came here with Marchwood to redeem my DNF. As I looked in a few places, he read the cache page and a few logs. After that the find was quite easy. Nice view. TFTC.
Almost finished our camping holiday at Mapua… so before we leave I made a conscious effort to locate this one that has eluded me all week.
Need to be careful of the cyclists and dog walkers in both directions but eventually got there.

No lid on the cache but could be easily replaced if someone had one spare! Log book and pen present but soaked!
I'm disappointed we didn't find this one. Maybe next year when we come back.
I tried a few approached in line with the T rating, but reading previous logs it became clear that a different approach was needed - and that lead to a quick find. Container lid missing but cache in reasonable order. Lovely spot also! TFTC!!
We missed finding the closest parking spot to this cache, so had a longer walk than needed. Once at the cache location, with some misinterpretation of the hint, it took us a wee while to find the cache, which was soaking wet. As it was in a somewhat precarious location and very visible, and we were unsure exactly where it was supposed to be, we replaced it on top of the hint object, with a rock holding it in place. TFTC
Located with Ricardinho on our adventures today. This was a tricky one & we spent a bit of time trying to locate it. It was a stunning view at this location, so I wasn't too worried about the time it took.
I offered moral support & took selfies in RNZ's glasses

Last of the day.
We parked up and enjoyed the short walk of a few hundred metres to this one and the nice view of D’Urville Is all the way.
We were not sure what to expect, so started searching according to the detailed hints. A wee way into that, I checked previous logs to discover that the finding of this cache is a bit hit and miss, and that the cache could do with some love. So about 10 minutes in I had a thought about where I would replace a very damp cache and found it in the first place I blindly poked my hand, higher than I initially thought it would be.
It’s true though - the log book is unwritable so a photo will be added to this log, although we did scratch something down. TFTC andrewsclan.

One very soggy cache found! Not sure if it’s in its original spot as there was no rock on top.
We’ll replace as found but suggest CO do some maintenance on this one!

Couldn't find it!
Might try again soon. Lovely surrounding though for a beautiful beach walk

Found it, log and inside of container is very damp. Perhaps it needs a more waterproof solution. TFTC.
Found. It was a step in the right direction that helped with this one. Second step from the bottom was missing. Nice to be able to safely cross the large rip-rap rock revetment. TFTC.
A quick find and a lovely stroll down the beach with SJT_NZ enjoying the crashing waves. Thanks andrewsclan, timed perfectly between other parties using the walk over.
Found with Tregeap on a walk along the a path we hadn't been on before. The cache was a quick find and all in good order. Thanks andrewsclan for the cache.
I needed to find 6 caches today in order to bring my total for the 5th February to 26, and thus into a deeper shade of green on GC's Statistics Find Calendar. After signing off all five unfound caches in the McKee Memorial Reserve it was time to search further afield for cache #6. This time by bike introducing a mate to the Great Taste Cycle Trail. We biked down from McKee Memorial Reserve with the intention of catching the 10:00am ferry to Rabbit Island. With a few minutes in hand before ferry departure, a stop was made to sign off this cache. The nice quick find didn't hold us up at all. Yea, that is cache #6 done and dusted. Thanks for the cache andrewsclan.
Walking the dog with 2 kids on bikes who were super excited to find the geocache , swapsies done

We had a while to wait to meet the rest of the family for lunch down at Mapua Wharf so decided to do a bit of a ride. A quick easy find on the highest tide if the year. Awesome spot. TFTC
Great cache full of shells and pretty rocks so added a few more treasurers. Tftc
We found this one when we were camping at Mapua, and we biked with the kids to here. We had no idea if there was a cache here, I just said to the boy, this looks like a good place for a cache, go find it. And find it he did, with no phone, GPS, or idea. A great little place. We went over and there was a big drop off from the bottom step. We had a paddle and turned back for camp. I think it was the 18th we found, or could have been 19th. A beautiful hot day. TFTC
Geo cycling the GTT over 3 days, picking up caches on the way. Was curious to see how this had survived the storm. A lot better than the track! Cache is fine
Walked along the beach front track we walked past this one on our way to get another .With the help from paddle chick I found it . Tftc andrewclan
After success just at the last cache we headed to the obvious feature along the beach. Read the hint to assist a quick find and upon looking under I spotted the cache out in the open. No problems with the cache and stashed it away a lot better away from prying eyes. T F T C samyl/andrewsclan
With a mild winters day on the cards for the weather, and daughter staying at a friends for the night, mrs capperz said she was keen for a trip ober to Mapua and piossibly lunch out too so I planned a modest trip with a couple of small walks and not too many caches (for once). We had a great lunch at the Sprig and Fern and a stroll along the beach and a generally nice day out. We even saw the Seagnoid caching around in the area too, Marlborough must have been quiet today.

I have decided, that since there is more than enough local caches for me to complete my calendar project I would try for the Ten Multis in Ten Days Challenge in Paremata, just north of Wellington. But there are not enough multis left in Blenheim, but it can work if I come to Nelson for a couple of weekends. So here I am, with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby in tow. On a puzzle-only weekend. Well, puzzles, and just one multi per day. The multi done, and with my GPS loaded with nothing but solved puzzles, we set off.
Well, it's supposed to be a puzzle day, but I have run out of solved puzzles before we ran out of daylight. So we are finishing off with finishing off Mapua.
This seems to be a crazy place to place a bridge. Could not decide on which road end to put it so they decided that neither would have it? And me, I am just as happy to climb over the rocks, and those that would be less happy to do so prossibly might want to walk to the bridge either. Still, a nice large container , thanks! Dropped in an emerald and a path tag.

The Seagnoid has finding his solved puzzles and an odd multi on the radar for the weekend - in Nelson. Yes!! Zara and I arrived on Thursday, with The Seagnoid and Toby completing the team Friday night. With the multi out of the way its on to puzzles thanks to The Seagnoid solving abilities and thanks to the COs for the extra mind boggling effort.
The Seagnoid had only loaded puzzles for the weekend. But we are running out and are near Mapua so its over to the trusty Cell Phone so we can cache around here. Its time for a walk. Too much time in Toby today.
This was a quick easy find as it was on top of a rock, playing troll. Tagged and replaced as found. No longer hidden and great size container. Cheers

Besides a bruised and bloodied finger another nice find on our Mothers Day walk
Found on our Family bike ride along the great taste cycle trail between Mapua & Tasman. Today, I found 15 geocaches, which is a personal best for me & I also cycled past some lovely places & found some geocaches as well along the way. This cache had a very nice view out to sea. took a while to find how to extract the cache. good to see a few regular caches along our cycle ride. Find #274
A constant stream of bikers out enjoying the good weather. Managed to squeeze in a quick find without detection!

What an awesome walk thanks for bringing me to this place I didn't even know existed.
Tftc sorry we had no pen so I poked three holes in the pad one for each cacher myself justajem and scr0tum
Found with Scrotum, Dr.Davis and the kids, on a Labour Day excursion. Unfortunately we didn't reaslise no one had a pen so couldn't sign it!
Stunning stunning evening out here, really enjoyed my walk.
Took me longer than it should've, I focused too much on the p word in the hint. Had to do a troll impression as some walkers came by and I don't think they saw me!

Nice quick find. Enjoyed the view while muggles were slowly walking past. Great views, nice spot. TFTC
A calm day today but it looks like it can get very rough with debris right across the path. Cache tucked away safe and secure. TFTC
We went for a walk in the beautiful weather and managed to find this cache.

Strong winds could not stop us from finding this cache, although there was no view of D'Urville.
On our travel through New-Zealand we visited some really nice places.
Thanks to all Owner to show us all this places.

Find #2476 while on a 5-day explore of the Tasman district. Last day, this time cycling the Great Taste Trail from Mapua to Tasman return. Perfect day with little wind early on. Collected caches on the return journey. Cycled right past this before I realised but a quick return and quick find. SL TFTC
Cycled here to find the cache just before dusk. Big caches are always a joy to behold.
