From our hotel we take a tour of the area. We are guided by the hidden caches. we couldn't find it
Woo-hoo! Third times a charm... A tiny tweak to the hint suddenly made it make sense to me!!!Upon arrival the recent CO note made my heart sink- my potential retrieval tool is broken. I decided to try it anyway but then disaster struck... The small piece of tool fell in and got stuck. I stayed calm and tried different angles to get my fingers in enough to get it out and TA-DA! Attached to it was the container!Signed as L.T and placed back in what I imagine the CO saw as the "easier of two spots"Clever hide that had me stumped a couple times. Satisfying find- fav point given for that and the lovely spot
Option 2 will be required saw resident of Nagio Marsh -retrieve and then drop it !
At last! I had a score to settle with this cache. With a CO nudge and the right tool, I made this my leap day traditional.
Not quite sure where it was hanging out last time - this time it was an immediate find and sign, skinny fingers did the work. Tftc
Wahoo! Several years after our first attempt, finally found it! Great hiding spot. As the cache was positioned correctly, only needed nimble fingers to retrieve and replace. Great cache and clues!
Cool hiding spot ... once we figured out the hint. Tftc, SL as Q-6, Dated 29/1
I scoped out the location a few days ago before biking over with my daughter and a suite of potential retrieval tools. It turns out all we needed were our nimble skinny fingers . Happy to find another near-new log in excellent condition. TFTC. Loved the hint BTW!
New logbook & put back in the easiest of the 2 positions. What more can you ask?
Tonight, after shopping in Papanui, we stopped for this cache, it took about 5 seconds for Mr9 to retrieve it. Dad was a bit angry he got it so fast. But it was quite a journey to get there. The first 5 visits were focused on a wrong place. We even purchased a magnetic telescopic pick up tool, but had no success. Looking at the description and hint again, I decided to get help from an online cryptic puzzle solver. It then all made sense, We had been looking in the wrong spot the whole time. Another unsuccessful visit alone later on the 24th, I decided to bring Mr9 for the handy work, encouraged by the CO. On 25th, we touched the cache with no tools, then got it falling down and couldn't retrieve it with our hands only. Today, we came back with a few tools and choosing the right one, it took seconds to grab. So yes, it took 5 seconds to retrieve on our last visit, but it took about 10 visits on many occasions. The hint is now more straightforward, and I would strongly suggest bringing a tool. Thanks for placing this here and for the support in finding it. I have a few more puzzle solved that I need to grab and unsolved that need some time.
Cache can also fall - so the alternative is something metal to retrieve ( come prepared ! )
This cache us proving to be our nemesis after several previous failed attempts, returned to have another go with the new clues. We are confident we found the exact spot as it matches the descriptions, clues, hint and previous comments. Alas, the spot is empty. This cache is only a few meters from our house, so will check there periodically.
Stopped by today with a new tool, using the new hint. I also now understand the cryptic clue and confirmed with the updated hint. Still no luck, will have to return with way more other tools...
Checked on cache today ( today could retrieve with only a finger ) - it was Liitle G at his sneaky worst ! Added a few hints
Feeling emboldened by success at the Tandem, and with a vague hint from TG, I came by to have a poke around. My tiny torch came in helpful, but only as far as confirming that the cache was not where all indications said it should be. Stuck the digits through the cobwebs to no avail either. Given the state of the cache in pictures from a few years ago I suspect it's not worth a return visit, though I'm very glad to have discovered this wee area.
After multiple shots at this one, Im finally admitting defeat. Not a clue what to focus on or what to do with the hint.
Logbook full so photo for proof. Didn’t wanna give too much away with the photo. Hint definitely helped once understood. TFTC!
We took a seat looked at a couple of past logs and the light bulb went off the hint was well needed TFTC
Got the "Not France" bit... I think. Papanui? Who knows. But then do I - don't I need some sort of tool even if I do get it... Who knows. Got a few more for the day to get done yet, so..... Yeh.
A nice quick find once I turned on my cryptic crossword brain and figured out the hint! Retrieved fairly easily without tools and placed back where I found it. TFTC!
Figured out the clue early on but had to use a few tools to fetch it out. Third time returning to this cache and finally able to check it off
Found after a lot of searching. No idea what the clue was trying to tell us though!
Finally. Was that the 6th visit or the 7th? So many wrong turns. Firstly, the word "not" in the hint had sent us in completely the wrong direction on the first few visits. We had missed something hidden in the clue. Furthermore, having read the many logs we had assumed that TOTT were necessary, and even bought an extendible magnetic grabber. When this failed we PAFed a previous finder who confirmed our approach. Tried a more powerful tool from work; still no good. The previous finder kindly checked it out, and said they thought it was missing. Contacted CO ... only to find out that actually, a TOTT is only required if it has been dislodged from where it is supposed to be.
Finally, then we returned today; and the team member with the thin fingers managed to feel inside and got it out **with fingers alone**. OMG! What a journey. We did! We found a blank spot on the log; but it looks to be full now. TFTC!

Having received a magnetic grabber for Christmas, especially for this cache, we decided to put it to the test yesterday. No luck. We confirmed just where it was finally with a PAF yesterday. With a little more information, and the suggestion of another technique we returned today. It really seems to be wedged in in a way that it cannot be dislodged. This is now the all-time nemesis; is it 6 visits or 7? We have lost count.
Out caching with brother for the aftn.
A team effort - with a tool - made for a satisfying find!

Great find with Demainiac….we had to use our Mcguyver skills to get this one! TFTC
Tregearp and I had made a couple of quick visits here previously whilst visiting family nearby. We were always time poor and hadn't fully read the cache page or previous logs. This time we had time, prepared properly and had success. All in good order although only about enough space for another, may be four finders, on the log sheet, so a replacement will be needed soon.
Thanks LittleG Magic for an entertaining and novel cache - an FP

SJT_NZ and I had visited this previously and ha d an idea where it was but didn't have the necessary tool. Today back in the area with tool and a quick find, logged.., about 4 slots left and a carefully returned. Thanks Little G
Came with correct TOTT and got it. A lovely spot and very quiet. Thanks fir rhis clever placement.
I have found the great spot, and tried the wrong item. I am now armed with further information and will be back, this will be a smiley!!
We came by quite. few times, with different tools, but we definitely don't have the twist to extract this container. It was great to hone our skills and equipment, but sadly, this will remain a DNF for u in the short term. Maybe it is too far for us to reach? Thanks for the hide, great playground nearby.
Iceman 88 was here
Looked around a bit
Think we found the spot but no tools try again next time with tools

Went to this location twice and didn't have the correct tool to get it, so we went back, but forgot a pen this time. Photo for proof
Our third visit. First time we had no tools. Second time brought screwdriver. Maybe they are not long enough? This time brought 2 screwdrivers and a long piece of wire. We still came away empty handed. We just don't have the technique...
We had come over this side of town to do a repair for friend. Checked out map and decided to look for this on our way home. What a beautiful little place and one we never been to before. We had the 2 TOTT in our pockets re one from job. Love the hint. Managed to sign Ccn3 for us. Thanks for the very clever hide and cache LittleG Magic.
Covid-19 Level 4 Its Simple
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.

The hint was a puzzle that we still don't understand but, reading through the logs was very helpful. Angie33210 did have to return back to the car to get a needed tool, without which we wouldn't have been able to retrieve this cache. A steady hand was also required. I don't think anyone has been in a while as lots of cobwebs. Very cool hide though. TFTC
As a side note, log is full.
As a side note, log is full.
After inspecting area we thought it was hiding in I went back to the car to retrieve the extending magnetic screwdriver.... Explored a few options again and voila all was revealed now we had the right tool for the job.
Log is full so CO might want to replace at some point.

After the event in town this morning, mum and I went for a wee drive to find some more caches while the whole world was still sleeping.
We aimed for some high muggle zones, and some that were new & on the way home.
Finally have ticked this one off!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!

Since we were already up (mostly) and about so early in the morning, we decided to go and find some caches of course with daughter! Came with the right tool this time for a quick find, although other side from expected. TFTC!!
Got to the road and couldn't work out what would match the hunt turned on the phone and started to correct where gz was, hubby spotted before I even started looking. Thanks for the placement.
I Took 2 bites at this one. First time I completely mis-understood the hint. Once I twigged to the actual meaning- it was an easy find. Thanks- what a great spot
Jude E was free so I went out for the day with her.

Found on a dog walk.
First to find this year - wow!
Despite not being able to understand all of the hint, it still led us to the right track and the tiny cache was soon at hand. It was a bit rainy so it was good that there's the shiny metal shelter nearby - we took refuge there to sign the log.
**Logbook is full** though! I managed to leave our initials in the form of "GM i_XX" at the bottom.

Another very sneaky LittleG Magic hide but came expecting that. The hint made sense after we found it. Thanks for a great hide

We didn't spend a lot of time trying to find this one- the nearby park looked inviting! I'd love to know if it was still there given it hasn't been found in 9 months and looked like a cool spot
Spotted it pretty quick thanks to a hint from a previous finder, but sadly out of reach. Another great reason to have a magnetic grabber stashed away in the car. GLB1719 TFTC (3805)
Found on a return visit with cab165... turns out tott should be traded out and I'll just go everywhere with magills forceps! Cheers LittleG
Spent half an hour trying to find this last time but didn't have the tools. Found immediately this time with odgersaj. TFTC
Came back for another attempt with a new tool, purchased with this cache in mind. But the place where I was sure it would be was not yielding anything . Finally tried another place that I had discounted after misinterpreting the hint and struck gold. Still no idea what the hint means though. TFTC - nice hide.
We visited the location over a year ago, but could not retrieve the cache without the necessary tools. But after recently stocking up and being ready for another cache trip to Australia this find was pretty easy and straightforward. Thanks for the cache.
What a beauty...I would have liked to tell a muggle it was in there and watch the frustration as they couldn't get it...definitely need tools for this one..as well, we had assistance from Jude E who had been on site on few times before. Good effort LittleG, we really appreciate these sort of caches..made our day and a good day it was, thanks. Favourite added.
I have tried this one a few time but this time had the right tool. The cache was where l thought it would be. Clever hide.
After reading the previous logs I came armed with some tools. The hiding place was soon spotted but, even with the kit I had brought, the cache was a pig to get to. I got it in the end though. TFTC.
Had been here once before but was very conscious of neighbouring windows overlooking the GZ. Returned tonight after day and managed to spot the sneaky hide pretty quickly. I had an appropriate retrieval tool in my car thankfully. Thanks for the cache.
Right tool makes all the difference. Actually the hint is very clever! Vraiment! Thanks Little G.
Absolutely no idea what to look for. Coordinates take me to a paved area. Not on LG's wavelength yet I am pretty good at cryptic things usually.
Second DNF for the day - both Little G caches. After a wee hunt around, I found a couple of likely spots. The hint ruled one of them out, but I didn't understand the rest of the hint so wasn't too confident that I was looking in the right place. I tried out a tool I had brought along but no luck, I might have to come back with a different tool for another go.
Took my two boys and their friend to find this in broad daylight - didn't read the logs first so had to leave empty handed. Had to watch for muggles very closely as seems to be a popular walking spot.
Came back when it was dusk, and after reading the logs we went straight to the spot and hit the jackpot, beautiful hiding spot. Couldn't get the cache for a start but with the help of the right tool it came out. No room for writing but was very rewarding to find. Well done Little G, good hiding spot!

Out with injeanious after work. Found quickly, getting it out slightly more difficult, tftc!
Such a neat little park and what an interesting instalment. I noticed a likely spot, looked inside and lo and behold what did I see? Such a good little hidey hole. We couldn't reach it with our usual TotT, so we sought out a better tool. Luckily we came prepared and soon had the cache in hand. Two easy Little G caches in one day, will wonders never cease! Thanks LGM.
Fortunetly as I turned up a geocacher was just extracating the cache with the appropiate tool. Stroke of luck TFTC
Not sure about the clue and the cache eluded us all. There was something damaged that I suspect may have held it but alas not visible to us today. Ill watch this still.
Quite a hassle to get to it, but when we finally did- the pen ran out! Will have to return again with a new one, but a very cool cache
On tour with Del84
After the short stroll through this green patch we came across this one. First I thought "that's where I would hide one" ... looked and nothing to be seen... searched some more... and got back to the first hunch and took out of my backpack a never before used tool. And suddendly I had a cache in my hands!
TFTC! Nice hiding place

That's a tricky one.

Easy found GZ No one around had a good look with no luck. Almost got my finger stuck where I thought a Cache would hide.TFTC.
Apologies for the delay - I tried to sort the container but it kept locking shut. In the end I got a new one and have now placed it back in situ. Good luck to the next searcher!
Finally got it! I've been here a few times with no real inspiration as to what I was looking for. For some reason this time I took a seat, looked around, and suddenly the hint made sense! Waited for a muggle to clear the area, had a quick look, and spotted it. Tried the tool I had on hand but no luck so I popped back to the car to retrieve the one I knew would work. First time I've needed it so I'm pleased to justify putting it in my caching bag. As others have noted I couldn't open it by hand so I have to admit I've brought it home to open with further tools. I wouldn't normally do this but this cache isn't visited that often now and I promise to return it asap. It appears that the o-ring has perished and gone and this is allowing the cache to be over-tightened.

We found it easily enough, but couldn't retrieve it from its hide no matter what tools we improvised with, in between passing muggles. Will have to return another day sometime when in the area.
Not sure if this counts as found. Found the location, but could by retrieve it. It felt like it was stuck there. I have photographic evidence of its location if that matters
Oh my goodness Little G - what could be trickier than this one. Got it when finally worked out the hint - I assume you are a cryptic crossword expert too???
What a mission. Looked in its hidey hole about 10 times before trying with a coat hanger. Luckily coat hanger more magnetic than surrounding metal! Clue didn't make sense to us at all!
We've been down this path a few times on route to visiting a rest home but have never checked it out. After reading the clue we knew exactly where to look before we arrived. I borrowed a tool from my father ... don't think I want to give it back now as it proved to be quite handy! Can't open the cache to sign the log - maybe a bit rusty? But have taken a photo if it's needed. Very clever. Tftc
