Replaced the cache

This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

Has been stolen..

Found the cache container but the lid has been unscrewed and taken away and the log has disappeared as well. I have taken a photo of the cache container as proof of the find and to show the state of the cache.Otherwise, a lovely place to hide a cache. Great views from the seat.TFTC.

I wasnt really up to any swimming action today, so decided I ought to walk a bit further for my exercise quota! Again, signed as Mrs grob1 TFTC

Quickly found and signed the log book and then sat and enjoyed the views. It really is lovely here, I think I could quite easily retire to Russell one day. TFTC

So we have a thing where we drive around and try to find and sign a cache without getting out of the car. This involves dangerous driving and irresponsible parking. Right up our alleyWe have only achieved this a small handful of times over the years. Today we added one more.

In my previous visits to Russell I had never ventured over the hill to Longbeach. I'm glad I did today.

It was a beautiful day and the hint lead me straight to it.

Resuming my walkabout on a wet and windy day, after a kind local gave me a lift back to Russell from Tapeka.
No luck here despite a careful search all over the seat.
I’d be very surprised if this is still on site somewhere.

Found after a lovely walk along Long Beach. Great spot to sit and sign a log. The log was a bit damp and susceptible to ripping. Cache otherwise ok. Thanks!

Making up time for a rained-out morning, we did a bit of exploring this afternoon as the rain had cleared. There was a ute parked close by, but the occupants were engrossed with something else and were not paying attention to us. Thus, it was a quick retrieve of the container. I signed the log a bit away from GZ so as not to attract attention, and then returned everything as found.

Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Up to Northland for a few days, cruised around Russell and Piahia today. Another great day, though a bit windy with squally showers.

Nearly broke a nail getting it open but I need to cut them anyway: holiday nails! Saw someone pick a bag of mussels as we sat and enjoyed the view. Thanks Fullofun.

Quick Easy Find TFC

Day 3 of a little tiki tour with Mrs NZ Travellers and today was explore Russell day. Quick car ferry over - they are sooooo efficient - and we were on a roll.

Such a lovely spot here! Bet it gets quite busy in the summer but nice and quiet today.

We saw a couple out and about on their ebikes a few times today. At this one they had parked them leaning on the seat.
Made it a bit difficult feeling around for it, but we found it soon enough without looking too suspicious. TFTC Fullofun.

A well deserved holiday break for Mr and Mrs NZTravellers saw us heading up to Russell with Geodog in tow.

Our first morning in Russell and Mr NZT tacks Geodog for a morning walk. Geodog loved the beach running around like a mad dog when let off the leash. He also meet some new doggie friends and they all ran around like a pack of mad dogs! Well as least Geodog will sleep well tonight.

#13,071. Park and grab on Long Beach Road in Russell. Fortunately GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Came on a sunny morning, looked for about 20 minutes & did not find. We are wondering if someone has possibly moved it? Lovely view though

#10,568. Today I am heading north on a 2 day trip to try and pick up most of the northern geotour caches. Its another super hot summers day. After doing the nearby TMGT cache I headed up the hill to do a trifecta of seat caches. This was the last one. Muggles were out on their decks enjoying the evening views so it was not easy to be stealthy here. But found it quickly and did my best. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks Fullofun for hiding it here. Some lovely looking beaches up here in the bay. Be nice to own a bach in this area to relax over summer but it will always be a fantasy I expect. Back to my tent at the campground inland from Paihia for the night.

Over in Russell enjoying looking around and of course, getting a few caches. We have cached very briefly here once before while travelling with family so it was nice to be back with a chance to have a look around a bit more, and at this time of year, not too many folks about so getting parks was easy!

Nice to come down to the beach and have a look - the light is really fading by now so happy to get a fairly easy find here. Thanks for the cache - all good here.
