I'm sure I found the correct location, but it looks like some work has been done there that changed the area somewhat.Cheers and thanks for the experience.

My second visit to NZ with joojoo57 and we will be collecting a few caches on our travels. Thanks to the COs for placing them for us to find.
First visit back to the SI since early 2020 and doing a road trip loop of the northern parts of the island. Our main stops are Kaikoura, Nelson, Westport and Greymouth with stops along the way to find some caches. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining their caches for our enjoyment.
I found this cache while on vacation in New Zealand Thank you for the experience Greetings from Germany
Quickly found. Logbook completely soaked and full. Have replaced with new slip of write in the rain paper. Have taken the old logbook and will throw away unless the CO wants me to send it to them.
Thanks for the cache, bumandworker

First find today. Great day to get a school cache with the place dead empty. No issues here, log a bit damp. TFTC B&W
Driving back to Blenheim from Gore Bay, after spending the long weekend there.
Broke up the trip a bit with a few caches for me, and some shopping for RG72 In Kaikoura.

Took a while to find the correct seat but pleased to convert the colour from blue frown to yellow smile. TFTC
We have left home for a wee holiday in the motorhome with our cat Coco. Staying at this NZMCA property to explore the area. This was our first one of the day all good here. thanks for this cache bumandworker.
Collected this morning before leaving for home with caravan. Nice quick find here. tftc
#10192. Day 6 of the South Island road trip around the top of the South Island (Canterbury and Westland) with Infoferret. This trip was planned to replace the Labour weekend Auckland Mega adventure. We have stayed overnight in Murchison and today are heading to Christchurch. The weather has improved in the morning and by time we reached Canterbury it was like a hot summers day.
Finally back to SH1 and heading south to Cheviot. We diverted off the main road here to find this one. Sad that this rural school has shut down forever. Guess the kids now have to sit on buses for more of the day getting to Cheviot. I wandered over to find this one. Didn't take too long to track it down. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for hiding it here and a bit of local history.

Another one found in GSEL's company, on the penultimate day of our trip. Always good to find some of the history of the area. TFTC.
Nice find. Log was damp as bag has split, so sat in the sun with it for a bit to dry it out a little.
Day 2 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Spent the morning in the Kaikoura area, before heading on to Christchurch this afternoon. Did the “Explore Kaikoura Peninsula” Adventure Lab cache(s) plus 5 others today. This was a quick find on our way south. #4036. TFTC.
Staying at the NZMCA Park, great place to stay, Seymour the magpie has said hello to me, found the cache fairly quickly, all in good order, tftc bumandworker
Thought this would be a great place to stay the night in our camper on our way to Kaikoura - an amazing friendly magpie here, so if you don't like birds dear say not a great place to stop - TFTC
I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Wondered how long this school has been out. Also wondered how many New Zealand schools are now permanently out. Many hundreds I suspect. TFTC .
Cooked tea then saw the cache nearby so quick leg stretch to get it. Lovely quiet NZMCA park.
Only a dog walker around today. Have looked for this previously so not sure why didnt find. Think muggles around. Tftc
I have looked at this spot often on the way past . It was good to have time to stop and collect the cache today.
Parked up at NZMCA Parnassus for a few days compulsory relaxing so took geopup for a walk to fi d this one. Nice easy find. TFTC.
We left Feilding n.z nearly two weeks ago and went from picton to reefton over Arthur's pass which we really enjoyed then Christchurch for a couple of days to get a trail done and of course some other caches along the way so far we have managed to get over 300 caches a great effort we thought we would try and average 20 a day.
Now we are getting this cache a nice area to discover a cache stamped the log and placed it back where we found it thank you for placing a cache here and bringing us to this location. Cache is all good here tftc had to do this one especially by the nzmca location big supporters we are.

This is day seven of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter there so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University. I am now heading towards Picton to catch the ferry. I counted and there are nineteen places along the road where you have to slow down or stop due to constriction.
This one was so small, I almost missed it. TFTC.

After spending the night in Christchurch we were heading north after staying in Waimate for the week for personal reasons, it was time for us to leave Christchurch and make our way to Blenheim for the night. As usual I decided that as I was going to be passing a few Geo caches along the way if the chance allowed I would stop and pick up one or two.
After finding GC31DG1 - Little Twin Tormore (Nth Canterbury), it was time to continue making our way north, as we were heading north I decided to take another small break and this was the next cache that we had on my list to find today, this cache had us taking a small detour off the well travelled route.
As we neared GZ, we soon found a safe parking spot that was close to GZ. The walk over to GZ which was just under 30 metres and it was a very easy walk to GZ, once I got to GZ, I managed to spot the hint object very quickly and then it was just a matter of finding the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks bumandworker for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot TFTC TNLNSL (13887). How sad is it that all these old schools are now closse, but I am glad that it is now used for something else other than left to go into decay.
Now it is time to get back into the flow of traffic continue on our travel North to Blenheim.

Staying the night at the NZMCA park and after dinner took the hound for a walk and to get this cache. Soon found and signed. All nice and dry. Thank you.
Found with NZDi on our way home to Blenheim after an overnight trip to Christchurch. NZDi and I had been in Christchurch looking for furniture and décor items to fill our new house which we shift into next month. Having scored a FTF on the way down to Christchurch yesterday, and only one other while in the big city, we decided to grab a few on the way home. As we wanted to get home at a reasonable time, we picked a dozen or so PnGs close to the State Highway. As expected we didn't find all of them and ended up with a tally of ten for the day.
As we approached, we noticed the NZMCA members using the other part of the school and hoped the cache was away from them. C:geo counted down to a place well out of sight and we made a QEF PnG. Unfortunately we bookended this one with a couple of DNFs, the Grecian one was definitely missing, but I think the Multi needs further investigation after more research.

My wife and I away in our bus for a week. Camped up at the NZMCA park I could not resist getting a smiley here to mark our stay here. Cheers
Sad to see these country schools close but at least the area has been re-purposed and not left to decay silently. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
Stayed at the motor home park last night ...sad to see all these small schools closing..but I guess if someone else can benefit from there demise that ok thanks B&W for the cache
Was going to stop yesterday but a guy was standing right where I wanted to park glaring at me so i didn't even slow down. No one in sight today thanks bumandworker

Quick park and grab on my first trip on the coast road to Blenheim since the earthquake. Thanks for the cache.
Found on the last day of 2017. We stay for a night at the NZMCA park, just a little stroll away.
Kaikoura
What an experience it has been caching in Kaikoura, every way you turned it was either mountain or sea scenery. We learnt so much abour the earthquake you had here last year,
Thanks for placing this cache bumandworker

I am one of the 'Old School' and am parked up next door for a couple of nights whilst I go geocaching between here and Goose Bay. I remember finding an earlier cache just a couple of metres from this one's GZ. Thanks for the cache B&W.
Last time I came past here- there were people nearby, so couldn't search. Today- we made very short work of it. tftc
Another find with warfi on a great day. Sad to see these little county schools closed. Thanks for the hide.
Driving south from Picton to Parnassus today picking up a few caches along the way. We are stopping here for the night in the NZMCA camping area, so this cache serves well to mark the end of our days journey Thanks.
Chelzea and I on a day trip from ChCh to Kaikoura, North up SH 1 and then return via the inland road through Waiau. A good number of caches both on the way up and back but not as many in Kaikoura itself as we would have liked but a good trip never the less. Found many cool places and caches and thanks to all the CO's for their placements.
On a mission to meet with the in-laws in kaikoura to give them some stuff that is too heavy to courier. So they are coming down from Blenheim to meet for lunch. Decided to stay over on Cheviot last night so we could get some caches on the way there and back.
Found, but not where hint said it would be. Muggly hubby asked if I was sure it was that tree, so turned to confirm not the other tree when I saw a indications of a typical caching gl hide. And there it was. Left where I found it.
It's a shame these skills were closed. Always thought a solution would be one stuck, several rural sure with resources shared. And since the wishes that's what we have in chch after some schools merged while they wait for the brand new school. Would have been less stress and traveling for local kids.
Thanks for the cache and the leg stretch.

Heading on a road trip north for the week. Day one from chch to Blenheim today and a few geos on the way. Tftc
Headed out for a wee drive today in search of some FTFs. We had a Did Not Attempt at one at St Annes Lagoon due to lack of equipment and decided to head this way before backtracking to Cheviot for lunch. We pulled off the main drag and through the mighty town of Parnassus. We pulled up and I had look at GZ and I spotted the hiding spot from the truck and sure as eggs had the cache to hand for a quick find and sign. Now off to find some lunch and play at the Cheviot school.
Thanks for the cache bumandworker.

A quick 24 hour trip away has been planned over the last couple of weeks and Greymouth was supposed to be the destination. Weather forecasts however were not looking too flash so late in the week we changed the booking and decided a night in CHCH was on the cards and let mrs capperz see the change from her last visit 8 years ago, how time flies! On the road at about 6.30 so able to avoid any of the potential traffic snarl ups and see the coast line in its early morning glory, nice. Over the weekend a little bit of caching diversity, plenty of wonderful places visited and a FTF to boot! Really windy day on Friday followed by drizzly rain on the Saturday but the explorers will prevail and sights will be seen, caches will be found!
Day 2 of our visit and a slow trip North to get back home via a few places. Have changed drivers over to mrs capperz and I'm navigating us to a few last caches before we get to the yellow smiley faced map that is my locale
Missed the first turning for this so came along and did a loop. mrs capperz took a picture of road name for her 'sisters'

Quick find to turn a day green while on the way to Christmas lunch with the rellies. TFTC
I love these abandoned places!! There is even a pool! Sometimes I wish the walls could seriously talk, so much history remains untold here. Great spot, thanks for giving me a good reason to detour from the main road a little TFTC!!
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland
