Definitely an oxymoron. We were in our mobile home, having a working vacation, left our adult children behind. Our vegan bacon got freezer burn, so we headed for an open bar where we broke the deafening silence by playing a virtual reality game.
Trouve ! / Found it ! 4467me cache trouve.Merci Skindo pour la cache 4467th cache found.Thank you Skindo for the cache

This is definately a oxymoron. But what was really stupid is that I thought to then forgot to look at the actual state of the river. So its a Schrodinger of an oxymoron!
Found during a circum-navi-cache of the lake.

It was a blustery old day and thankfully the cache was a very quick find. Didn't stay long enough to check out whether the cache title was correct!
Travelling down to Wellington via Cape Palliser for the second week of school holidays. Stopping for a few caches on the way. Once here we worked out the oxymoron. Thanks Skindo for the smiley and reliable hides. Cache all fine.
Wandering in Wairarapa between Easter and Anzac day. Started at Cape Palliser and ended up in Martinborough. Found several hides along my way. This hide was one of them.
Great hide. I'm cache description. Thanks for nice lesson.
TFTC too.

Picked this one up on the way down to the Pinnacles and Cape Palliser. Yes, it's definitely an oxymoron - what a weird statement!! TFTC )
Over here for some time out and doing some geocaching as we go.
With all the rain this weekend, definitely an oxymoron.
QF under the stone as noted in previous log. Left as found - TFTC.

Yep an oxymoron today. Found a bit too easily as cache was in plain view. After signing I put a stone over the top to make it a bit less noticeable . Thanks for the cache.
Came over the hill from Wellington for a meeting this afternoon. Had enough time to grab this cache. I was dropped off a hundred metres down the road and walked back. Nice quick find in the obvious place. TFTC.
I came here after lunch and a dry white wine at Coney wines. I can confirm there is absolutely no sugar here.
MrJAG has been fascinated with oxymorons so we made this our last find for the day on a trip from the Cape Palliser lighthouse to Martinborough. Had to park a bit further down the road and backtrack to find the cache. Quick find in an obvious spot. Yes it’s definitely an oxymoron! TFTC
Destination Cape Pallister today. A big drop in temperature. All ok here thanks skindo
Oh bother..where has all the water gone...?? Farmers??.
Found all good here thanks Skindo

I have passed by this cache many, many times over the years but on the couple of times I have made the effort to stop I have been muggled. Today took a little while to make the find due to the passing traffic and local vineyard workers, but I got there in the end. Cache in good, dry condition. The location certainly was living up to its' name today, despite being late winter. TNLNSL TFTC
I like the cache title.
I was expecting in someway the cachers oxymoron “hidden in plain sight” but it was something different here.

Another road trip to the Wairarapa, this time to pick up caches for the Mystery at the Museum. I headed out to Cape Palliser as I haven't been out this way for a few years - before I started geocaching so there's plenty for me to get.
I had an inkling as to what the cache name meant, and I was glad to find that I was right on the money! Parked on the other side of the bridge and walked back. Found the cache quickly enough - that's four visitors this weekend! All good here. TFTC

Too busy insulting D with oxymorons we had to walk back across the bridge. Thanks skindo!
I looked this up in Google StreetView before heading out this way, so I knew exactly what I was looking for, and where. Easy find, and surprisingly, the second visitor of the day!

Ah, oxymorons. B favoured me with a few of his thoughts but was surprisingly uninterested in my gems. Quick find - TFTC Skindo!
(# 5176). A day trip to the 'Rapa. Decided to go around the lake. A quick find. Everything in order. It was indeed an oxymoron. TFTC
Yep think it is When I visited this afternoon the area below and either side of the bridge had water in it but further up and down stream the river bed appeared to be as in the name of the location. Thanks for the cache.
It may well be.
After the 2018 WENZ Mega event

MEGA TRIP 2018.
As usual with the annual MEGA event, we partook in our annual MEGA Trip. However this year was a little different from others, with much more sleep and a little less time caching than usual, but just as much fun being had along the way.
The general goal for the trip was to focus on all the new Virtual caches published over the last year, visiting Cape Palliser (for the Southern most cache in the NI), and Castle Point, along with spending time at the MEGA Event. With this in mind hiring a campervan from Hamilton and seemed like the best way to tackle this goal, plus sleeping in a car with four people, would just be too cramped!
The trip was a great success, and our goals were achieved. A big thanks to all CO's for there hides.
LEG 3: Mega, Cape Palliser and Castle Point: Todays plan was to spend some time this morning at the Mega Event before heading off to Cape Palliser and then working our way North to Castle Point. Two places that have been on the to visit list for a while now.

Well it's the WENZ Mega Weekend and a plan was hatched to motorhome (as we thought it would make a difference from sleeping in a car which is our normal accommodation method) down here in the company of HKCB, 11HPG11 & Alpenmilch80 and head for a few caches along the way.
As time was of the essence and we had planned to spend bugger all time at the actual mega but rather head for specific caches that we would otherwise not collect.
The record keeping for this trip was a total of 1750kms, (fuel = $450) and less than 100 caches, plenty of Beer & Wine and I still call it a complete success as we got what we came for.
After an amazing trip along the south coast it was time to cache back up to Castlepoint the next point on our itinary and enjoy the Waiarapa countryside.
thanks to all the CO's for whoom without this trip would not ahve been possible.
thanks for the placement

During lunch time on Friday I flew into Wellington from Auckland to meet up with some crazy Hamilton’s (11HPG11, Cats&Dragons & HKCB) to spend some time at the 2018 WENZ Mega and then driving the huge campervan back to the Tron.
After the night spend with a hearty meal and good drinks we refreshed ourselves before moving in the direction of the mega. Afterwards we left the Hutt to drive out to Cape Palliser. And now we are on our way to Castle Point collecting geocaches on the way. TFTC

It's Mega time! This year we decided to hire a motorhome and travel down in relative luxury, very different to the last few years. Our team this year consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB and later on Alpenmilch80, and myself, logs were signed as MEGAHOAC. We went on a bit of a whirlwind trip round the lower half of the north island, chasing virtuals, earthcaches and anything a little bit different.
No problems sussing the oxymoron out here, soon found and signed

Day 13 of our NZ adventure. An early morning bike ride from our accommodation in town to grab a coffee & set about locating some caches. All found without any problems. Returned to our accommodation and set off with our friends to Cape Palliser. Climbed the steps to the lighthouse and nearly blown way. Admired the seals and then headed to Lake Ferry for a late lunch at the Hotel enjoying their famous fish and chips. A quick find here on the way back into Martinborough
Found while in Martinborough for a weekend of cycling around town on Saturday morning and then driving out to Lake Ferry in the afternoon for some sightseeing. Whoever named the river had a very dry wit. However it may change dramatically after heavy rain. TFTC
Love this word Oxymoron: some examples....
Clearly confused
Act naturally
Beautifully painful
Deafening silence
Pretty uglyl
Definitely maybe
Living dead
Happy sad
Disgustingly delicious
Run slowly
Won't mention the oxymoron at this cache, will just let fellow cachers realise it for themselves. Now, the 3 of us rusty and Rebel are of to Patuna farm and the rather cool chasm walk. Cheers skindo.

Still laughing at this one! its a fine day, we have had 3 days of perfect weather! but can imagine these rivers and stream become a torrent after its rained. Thanks for the hide and showing us this spot.
With a group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98 and gorby) on our last day of this caching adventure

I have a full day meeting in Wellington starting early on Monday morning, so I decided to take a leisurely route to it, via a two day tour of the Wairarapa. Booked me a cute little Airbnb cottage in Masterton and planned a route to an area that I have never been before. Left the Manawatu in the pre-dawn light to make the most of the day and it has been an awesome day, with springlike weather, and full of lighthouses, seals and of course, braces, powerpoles and caches.
Another quick find at this site of the oxymoron. On to the next one. TFTC

loving being down here again to clear up this area and visit some lovely places, thanks for all these caches you have taken the time to put out - hubby is calling a moron for not spotting it sooner
#3377. Had an early start today as I teamed up with Infoferret and The Wandering Dragons to walk up the Pylon track behind Featherston and do a series of mystery caches in that area. We finished by 2.30pm so I still had time to pick up more caches over near Martinborough. Somehow my caching trips to Martinborough area have managed to miss this stretch of road. So today it was a case of stopping to clean up these caches along the main road. Had to laugh when I saw the road sign. Yes its a statement of fact once you look under the bridge but the name is an oxymoron. Thanks for the cache.
9.50: On the way to Cape Palliser. Nice place and - yes - we would consider the name as an oxymoron, too. Fast and reliable find at roadside.
Weather: sun, fine, windy, 21°C;
Wheelchair: not a problem;
State: all good, logbook almost full.
Thank you!

Over in Martinborough for the weekend, and a drive to the coast. Grabbed a few caches as we passed.
Log full and falling apart.

We all cracked up when we arrived at this oxymoron. Thanks for sharing with us
Found on the way back to Ngawi after visiting Martinborough during the day. Clicked into the location pretty quickly having read the description. TFTC
Left the womenfolk at the Martinborough Fair after I’d done my dash there. Trotted off to do a handful of caches. Soon became obvious what the oxymoron referred to! A reasonably quick find.. #1108. TFTC.
Technically it is an oxymoron - however when I stopped, it was an accurate description. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Today was a biking day from Martinborough to Dry River Road (Coney Wines) and back with a few caches along the way. TFTC
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Wellington to Masterton. We saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

13th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
Was wet today.. Quick find while on a bit of a caching trip around the area TFTC
