The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

This general area has certainly caught my attention in the last few months, and I vaguely recall solving this one fairly quickly and leaving it alone for a streak day where I could pair it up with some maintenance, in case that was ever needed.Adding some grocery shopping to the mix as well, today was an excellent choice to tick everything off.It was a classic September day with the sun shining brightly and almost making me regret wearing tracksuit pants! There were a few magpies about the place, and I thought I might be a thematic target in attempting to find this cache, although they largely kept to themselves today (indeed, the only one to approach me was a rather friendly one who helped me out with the maintenance inspection nearby!)The hint guided me to somewhere less shady than where I'd gravitated towards and I quickly caught sight of the container once I was close enough (evidently, this hide was from a time where such structures weren't quite as outlawed for the purposes of cache placement as they are today!)I pulled it out and found it in a pretty unfortunate state, as has been addressed by prior logs - I did my best to scribble my name but I'm not sure if the condition can be described as legible!I did immediately think that there was a high likelihood that a spider might want to hang out here, and upon putting it back, I noticed that a pretty sizeable one had scurried out due to my disturbance of its abode! Thanks to flim7790 for this puzzle and hide!

This cache is currently quite wet and broken, putting it in an unpleasant and largely unsignable condition. This issue appears to have been present since 2019, with 4 NMs logged since 2021, the most recent of which was 3 months ago (none have been publicly met with a CO response).

The container was damaged and needs replacing, the log was wet and mouldy and completely unuseable.

Find Number 2895 found at 14:49. Today we found 8 caches, 0 Adventure Lab stages and had 0 DNFs. Came up to Canberra with GeoSon NationalSteel plus grandchildren Charlicorn1500 and SteveCat3D to visit the Canberra Vintage Computer Exhibition 2024 at Radford College. After that we found some caches.A quick and easy find, but we weren't touching the log book as we didn't have any rubber gloves. See NationalSteel's phot of details. The container was damaged and needs replacing, the log was wet and mouldy and completely unuseable. We took nothing, left nothing, and replaced the container as foundThanks flim7790 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Out pottering around the suburbs picking off a few more caches. Day 7 of our Capital Geobash mega-holiday. Forecast was for rain, so we planned to do mainly Adventure Labs today. However the rain turned out to be a lot less than forecast so we found quite a few extra caches as well. This puzzle was solved prior to leaving home and happened to be one of those we were near to in our travels. 22:24Happy Easter!Capital GeoBash Day 3.Today, it was back to my main focus of Challenge caches... but that's signing and noting, not logging. After attending the GeoBash closing ceremony, I realised that I still needed to find a Mystery cache to fill in this calendar date.So I rewatched a couple of videos and took a short drive, and a bit of a walk. And there was this cache, neatly tucked away. A little worse for wear, but hey...Thanks, flim7790.#8669

No swoopers today fortunately. A different type of puzzle, in some ways. Not too tricky to solve fortunately. The puzzle material is interesting viewing. Cache container has seen better but days but the external zip log bag is doing a decent job of protecting it, despite a hole beginning to form in the bottom corner. Thanks flim7790. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. Today sees the opening of the long awaited geobash. While it might not be the official opening it was good to get in an early start. I had car park duties first up this morning, it was nice to meet and greet the cachers as they came in. Registration done, bags picked up, car flag, check out the stalls and ok I'm ready for caching. This is just nicely organised and well set up. Pathtags will be tomorrow. I wondered off and did some of the gadget caches before I meet up with my team mates for the day and we worked out what we were doing.ok sorted and we are off, there were multis and challenge caches, a few puzzles and a few targets for the day. It was not going to be a huge day, well it is a late start and there is an afternoon drinks event and then dinner.A nice multi cache and a fun puzzle to solve.

Something special or unusual goes here:Enjoyed solving the puzzle. [^] Didn't enjoy finding what was left of the cache. Twisted The container is badly broken and inside was a bag containing a big blob of mould that was once a logbook. [xx(][xx(] Ended up stamping the inside of the lid next to tank engines sticker. Need maintenance is an understatement! The Generic Bit:The Capital Geobash Adventure 2024. Day 5: Cruising Canberra Big Grin Today myself, Anymules and Muff1 set out to try and find a few caches.Big Grin A lot of puzzles were solved over many months preparing for this trip so we wanted to grab a few of those. Solved at home in readiness for the Geobash. A bit disappointed when we arrived at GZ and the logbook was saturated. It seemed to be moulded shut so we didn't try to open it in its present state and signed the torn bag instead. We enjoyed the puzzle, TFTC flim7790.

It is so good to be back caching with barb2e and Isopeda on a Monday morning. This was the first find for the day. Oh, what a mess it is in. The cache is broken, the log is completely water logged, and the plastic bags won't seal. The cache was found easily, and I signed some paper as SG.

Catching up with A missed log.We joined forces with Alansee, maccamob, McLookers, micaparamedic, moonb1, Muzza, Pprass and Rabbito to try our luck at a few Adventure Labs and any thing else that was close by.We were doing a stage of an adventure lab here and weren't going to leave without looking for this one as it was only a couple hundred of metres along. We wandered across to gz and everyone converged on the same location but found nothing. We spread our search out a bit but there was no where were you could hide a cache except where we first were so we did bit of scratching and about 30ml under the surface we spotted something and sure enough that turned out to be the cache, we have no idea how it got that deep.We happily added our name to the log before returning everything not quite as deep.We signed as Vic1 to save room in the log. Many thanks film7790 for the ca

#2665 I remember viewing the clues to this cache quite some time ago, but somehow lost track of it and never got to GZ. Discovered it again by accident and reviewed the videos. Calculated GZ and headed over for a quick find. It was extremely waterlogged. Dried it as best as I could and inserted it into a fresh ziplock bag. TFTC.

Success! But I was so excited to get outside after the first day back to remote learning that I forgot to bring a pen. Whoops.

With COVID-19 exercise time limited it was a sprint from cache to cache. It was sunny ?? , a little overcast ?? and windy but at least it wasn’t raining till the very end. Great to be out and about.

As I had used my spare cache container on another cache down the road, I placed this log book into a new plastic zip lock bag to protect it from the elements. Then placed the log into the old plastic bag. This should protect the log until the CO can replace the container.

Fun puzzle. Quick and easy find at GZ. TFTC film7790.

22-Jul-21
I was able to solve this without too many problems and whilst in the area today took a short walk to GZ where the cache was easily located. Mind you, the area was swarming with muggles on my approach and I felt very obvious; of course once I'd retrieved, signed and replaced the cache they all vanished and I saw no-one on the walk back to the car.

Great to give this cache some love after over a year unfound.

As previous finders have mentioned this cache container is very badly cracked, although the log is dry. I think the CO may be inactive now, so perhaps the next finder could bring a spare container?

Big Grin With my original plans for the long weekend being cancelled, I decided on taking a look at Geo-events that were around. I discovered a nearbyish CITO in Canberra. I had a bit of a catch up with people while also meeting lots of others for the first time. Nice to meet/re-meet you all. After attending the event a group of us took a run around the area collecting caches that have been on the solved plie for quite some time plus a few lone caches that were nearby. Most of these caches were the newish Harry Potter mystery caches. Even though I don’t like HP, I do enjoy caching. After we went our separate ways I took the opportunity to take quick snapshots for the GCA ‘Watson Testline Trig-points’. That gave me an extra 11 finds added to my GCA finds total. Next it was time for some grub before leaving Canberra. Earlier in the day I received a couple of emails telling me of some new caches one of which was on my way home in Binalong a quick stop off here and a FTF was made. Just as I was getting into my car someone else pulled up behind me and I met TheTreeWhisperer for the first time. Nice to meet you. After getting home, I had some dinner and ask Swimmagurl if she would like to join me to attempt a FTF out the Wagga road. She agreed to come and when we arrived at GZ we made a quick find. The only question remained was it a joint FTF? When opening the logbook we found we were the FTF. Now time to head home again. TB visit on all caches and on logbooks/sheets, I signed as 24/1 JM, 24/1 JohnoM or 24/1 JohnoMawbs depending on the size. Most caches were quick finds and a great day was had by all. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for placing them so I and others can enjoy. Big Grin TFTC’s and TFTTP’s Big Grin

I really enjoyed your cache. I grew up on a farm and the spring ritual was walking around with a stick in the air. Loved the clips you used here and I made a plan to find it today. Really smoky day up here but the cache was easily found but it pretty badly cracked.

Canberra Day 5: Northern suburbs (Mitchell - Watson - Dickson)
The goal of today’s caching was to clear off one of the mysteries I had solved from the northern Suburbs. I particularly liked these puzzles, so if anything, I wanted to get these so that my efforts were not wasted. It was going to be a hot day, so I started off early this morning, and hoped to finish a good amount before the heat starts to make geocaching unfortunately. All went well, and I ended the itinerary for today just before 2 pm with a total of 38 caches found.

This is the specific log for this cache:
As someone who was stalked by a swarm of magpies while caching yesterday, this particularly resonated with me. Funny videos, I must say, thanks for showing! The cache was easily found in the open area, but thankfully the magpies were too lazy in the heat to come after me here. TFTC!

First of a few pre-dinner caches for me tonight. This has been sitting in the 'solved' pile for some time so tonight I decided to see if I could turn it into a smiley. Thankfully all worked well and I was soon signing the log at 17:00 to finally take it off the list. Big Grin

Find #16 on our geocation to the Mega at Cataract Park via Canberra for a couple of nights.

Day 5 of trip to Queanbeyan/Canberra for the Clear Waters Mega Event, travelling with RLD4963.

We had nothing planned for today, no tours, no bookings, so we decided to head to a few particular caches that had been recommended to us. This resulted in us doing a great big loop around Canberra over the day, but we had great fun, and saw some great caches.

This was the last area on our list for the day, with a mix of caches we wanted to visit. Prior to our trip I had attempted to solve a few mystery caches, so that if we happened to be nearby we could grab them. This was an interesting one to solve - the video made very interesting viewing. Glad the magpies in Tasmania are not as aggressive as Canberra - I lived in Caberra for a year back in the last 1980's and can remember being terrorised by them walking to and from work.

This is located in a great area - lots of people out and about walking their dogs when we here, would love to have a few areas like this near where I live to exercise my dog.

A nice quick find at GZ, although the container is cracked and needs a bit of TLC. Thanks for the cache flim7790.

Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
A few days stopping at the EPIC.

A great funny film clip to watch, over the years I have been swooped by magpies

Spent a morning around the lake, hubby rode his bike & I wandered to find a few caches.
We then had a tourist trip to the mint where we had to spend $3 & turn it into a $1 ( were so smart)
The afternoon was seraching for caches not far from the EPIC.

I’ve been sitting on 300+ solved Canberra Mysteries for the last 4 years. With enough corrected coordinates on the map, it was time to convert solving efforts into finds! I teamed up with 154Crows for the day and we tackled caches in the NE section of the ACT. A big day spent outdoors totalled 73 Mystery caches (10-14%) with 10 DNF’s. Thanks to all CO’s for their puzzles and hides.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Flim7790!

I remember seeing these videos when they came out. Hilarious stuff. So the moral of the story is that you have to ride around wearing a big black fro. All I need now is a bike and a fro. No such magpie dramas out here tonight. No magpies and no muggles about. Found the cache easily enough. The container is damaged but the contents are fine. This is day 128 of my daily cache streak. Cache time again. I gave my mate Knightech a hand disposing of furniture this morning, then he made us coffee, and now we're off caching. It was cool earlier in the day, but now it's very warm. So park and grab with short walks is the order of the day. This is our third one. It is a puzzle cache we solved a fair while ago, today is finding time. We parked nearby, walked the requisite 120 metres, duly grabbed the easy find. TFTC.

Third cache for the day around the northern end of town.... wow it is really flat up here, apart from Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie of course. I am used to the south side with its undulating hills in most directions.

Container is cracked and has a small hole, but its location protects it pretty well I think, I made sure to put it back with the hole in the best location to avoid water.

F(H)ound It! #1766 - @3:29:41 PM

What a lovely puzzle - great idea and I really enjoyed solving it. Although I do have some problems with the assumptions made in this experiment Big Grin. I used to get swooped by that very magpie when I worked at Discovery many years ago, and I remember the video coming out. She really hated bicycles!
I made a quick trip to the other side of town today while there was a break in the thunderstorms. I saw lots of magpies on my walk, but I was more worried about getting hit by lightening today than being monstered by one of the local birds. Thanks for the cache, flim7790.

Getting into the Mystery Caches, worked this one out at work for the ride home. No swooping magpies but a few muggles exercising their dogs. TNLNSL TFTC

Chris is the puzzle solver in our house, and has a long list of solved-but-not-found caches. Today we thought we'd head out with The Woofer and Saf's bike, and grab a few of them among some trads and multis in the area. 20 caches, 20km and 4.5hrs later we were done - and despite a complete moron on her phone almost killing Chris and The Woofer on a pedestrian crossing when she SPED UP as they were half-way across, we had a great morning!

We thought we had the right coords for this one, until we reached GZ and realised our mistake! After entering the right ones, we decided to make this a park and grab after our ride/run. We wandered over and made the nice quick find. Left some goodies. TFTC! Smile

A satisfying find to end our puzzle pickup day. So cold. So windy. So wet. No swooping Smile Tftc!

I solved this last night so decided I'd grab it today after dropping my son at youth group. TFTC.
(I've been swooped a few times here in Canberra, but the first and worst was mountain biking on the port Hills near Christchurch, New Zealand. A steep downhill. It wacked me on the helmet several times. The first time very loud and hard. I got such a fright as I didn't see it coming and very nearly crashed.)

Didn't find. Looks like some trees have been cut down recently. GPS was jumping around a bit so not sure if I was on the right track or if cache has gone.
