Well it seems that OUCH has decided to go for a swim for the 2nd time in the rising South Creek, and hasnt returned to be faithful to the Geocaching Community. I thinks I may have to come up with a better method container, something a bit more appropriate for the location. Sorry guys, but hopefully this cache will be back online not too soon, Cheers

31-Mar-12
Should have read up about this cache before I left home as I too had thongs on. I only manage to get 3 Ouches trying to get to GZ. I had more difficlty with spiders trying to get to GZ. Signed log. TFTCM

Logging caches I found before I had my own caching name

22-Mar-12
Finally got this 1!!
FTF on the new log. Still very muddy on the way to GZ but managed it pretty easily in my work boots. Kids really liked this 1 once I bought it back to the concrete blocks so they could go through the goodies. SL took Cat Left Bottle Opener key ring.

Cache is back online. Hopefully its lasts longer this time !

15-Mar-12
Done a cache check. Since the heavy rain and the rising waters of South Creek, it appears this small container has been washed away to find its own GZ in the land of where ever ! Twisted
Cache will be up and running in a few days.

11-Mar-12
I thought I would re attempt this cache on Saturday but when I arrived at parking spot it was very clear that this area was well under water recently.
Suggest CO check the flood did not claim the find!

03-Mar-12
Well the track down so vey wet and lots of clay to navigate . Then we seen what our battle was to be, the flowers were in stark contrass to what lay ahead. Eventually found it. Tepee, TFTC

I was expecting a car wreck or similar. Once we approached GZ everything fell into place. Found with a bit of hunting..TNSL TFTC

Cache is back up and running with New Log Book. Happy Hunting !

24-Feb-12
Checked cache today to see if it had coped, (expecting it to have washed away) after all the Heavy rain and flooding that our district has been copping. Container was exactly where it shouldve been, but was full of water. I was advised by Malvic during the wet period that it mayve been under water, well he was correct. Sorry for the inconveniance, but cache will be up and running in a day or two.

It has been raining for a week and for some reason I decide to look for this cache when not in the 4X4 and I attempted this cache in thongs, (very silly idea) first the track was still underwater and of course there are ouchies. I limped around for a few minutes with feet covered in mud looking in all the spiky spots I could find, I decided to read description again and check GZ but we had flat batteries. DNF today so I can retrieve the thistle from my foot. Will be back when this dries out a bit.

29-Jan-12
fought through the spiders again this morning, i was 10 mins looking around the surrounding area only to find it in the most obvious position. left a couple more small treasures. A worthwhile cache_melmick

13-Jan-12
Hubby and I searched and searched, had just about given up when fellow cacher malvic appeared. He seemed to be having the same amount of trouble with his gps as we were. Then malvic yelled out that he had it, finally. So after numerous pricks from different things we sl. TFTC. aptly named cache.

13-Jan-12
Arrived at GZ to find fellow cachers rusjay already searching. Gps had us all over the place. Was about to give up when I found it. Thanks to the many sticks laying around. Such a simple hide but hard to see. SL TNLN passed to rusjay to do their bit and then I replaced it. Did quite well, only got two Ouches! That was whilst replacing the camo. What an evil hide.
Cheers Bagoogs.

the clue says you can drive in, I wouldnt recommend it, we have a 4wd, got in ok but was very tight getting out, that said, thanks for a great cache, probably the only cache in the world not likely to be muggled. we were guided in by locals who then sat in the tree above gz and watched us do our thing, then flew off as we were leaving sl tftc

Last day in Penrith for at least a month before I am back with the Caravan heading North for warmer weather. After missing out on six FTF down Warragamba way a few days ago I thought I would get a few more smilies out this side of town.

This would be my fifth and final find today before heading back to Geelong tomorrow. Happy to report that the thick leather gloves came in handy here so no pricks. The cache was uncovered so now it is well ans truly out of sight but if it is some locals that can smell something there I put some moth balls in all of my caches as most locals do not like the smell as some caches do not like the smell but I love it. Just a hint.

Thanks bagoogle1 for placing this cache.

10-May-11
Hahahaha, Thanks for the cache guys, we were walking around a bit trying to find the cache, it was looking right at us, not sure if it was supposed to be covered, but we sure did look like fools when we finally found it.
After replacing the cache we soon realised there was a fire only a couple hundred metres away, glad we didn't park in front of the gates to stop the fireman through.
Thanks again for the cache.

A fairly easy find and even managed without hitting a single prickle. Was more worried about getting prickled else where other than on the hands with all those smaller shoots waiting to get some one.
Thanks for the cache.

Found this one on a day with a little time to spare, pleasant walk in the morning sun to a nice easy find. TFTC

18-Mar-11
Found @ 1230hrs with MeerKat.
Nice easy one, but many a poor spider had his or her web destroyed as we made our way to GC.
Didn't get any ouches retrieving it, but tried to hide it well while replacing it and got a nice stab in the finger. Sad
Took a plastic frog and left a butterfly ring. There is definitely no TB here, but I already knew that from past logs.
TFTC.

Every one is right, it's so obvious where it is... However retrieving it isn't that easy! I drew blood but it was worth the laugh!

17-Jan-11
For some reason I got turned around while chasing this one. Maybe it was the confusion between Dunheven Circuit and Dunheven Road in two different suburbs.

Anyhow, I soon arrived at the right roadside spot and discovered a kind of rustic car park and the required concrete barriers, so knew I must be near GZ.

Sure enough! There was the likely 'prickly customer' not far away! It just had to be GZ . . .

I liked the idea of this one a lot. You more or less know where the cache must be -- but how do you get to it?

Anyhow, lots of fun and I didn't lose much blood at all. (Although later I fell over near the Nepean River and cut my hand at a very easy cache.)

Container was in good shape and the contents were dry. TNLNSL.

Many thanks, bagoogle1! I really enjoyed this one.

10-Jan-11
It got me. What a prick. Good one.

05-Jan-11
Oh, this was cool! Approached using GPS but no need within 10mts, Ouch was obvious! Took about a minute to find the cache, then a bit more to retrieve it, only a few small ouches but cache was in my hand soon, SL TNLN. Now I was worried about returning the cache without another ouch. I love this sort of caches! A bit of a challenge to find, but also a challenge to retrieve. TFTC Bagoogle1!

When I came to GZ & GPS was saying 8 metres that way, well I looked & I knew where ouch was. So out with the long length thick welding gloves & retrieve ouch without being ouched, acumpleshed. 1’took travel bug to move on.

18-Sep-10
Nice easy one around the corner from home I know what you mean ouch

18-Sep-10
This was the first of 13 today. We stopped by here on our way to Windsor and beyond, since this is the only cache we hadn't completed in this area. I extracted the cache, no problems, but the WaywardWoman had a thorn go right through her shoe! Ouch! I wrote in the log that I wondered whether I'd be as lucky getting it back into its hide. I wasn't. Double Ouch!

18-Sep-10
Even before we had reached GZ I had said ouch a number of times. I seem to be suffering for caching a fair bit lately-today it was a thorn in my foot. I was glad when geohubby found this one and volunteered to extract it. TFTC

14-Sep-10
In my effort to keep a caching goal possible I managed to grab this one with Geogirl No. 2 in tow. Took a shield so to speak with arms protected it was no probs, I was surprised to see so much of the plant slaughtered all over the ground, Good thing too as the GPS batteries gave up 30 metres from GZ!

Thanks for the cacheBig GrinBig Grin

Took a decent amount of time was looking in the wrong spot. Took the partner and kids saying think its over here? for me to look in the right spot.

Took mini-dice added little green guy!

I noticed this Cache says "No Kids" is that really needed? If the parents are responsible then there should be no issues.
My kids are 7 and 4 and had a great time and no trouble around this area.

2nd TF – 18:35 on my way home from work. Glad I had a torch in the geo-mobile followed the track and arriving at GZ realized the relevance of the cache name. No gloves with me so it was a delicate maneuver by torch light to retrieve and replace the cache. TNLN thanks.
