Since I was already up at the correct altitude, I continued over to find this one. I recall being here on a previous trip without success. Today, I found the log paper sitting out in the open. There was no container, so I returned it between wire and the post. TFTC.
Found the log out in the open outside of its cache. Couldnt sign it so sent a pic to co for their attention.
Well it wasn't where it would be at gz by 2m.
Wider search to an obvious place that I had looked before, but this time spotted something different.
Weird tho, the log sheet was empty and no mention of a replacement log sheet.

General:
Finally both Dutch Kiwis had a few hours together without kids, which had been a long time ago. What better way to spend the day than go out on a joint geocaching adventure! Great weather, nice tracks and 0 DNF's, which is a first on a longer cache day in NZ . Thanks to all CO's for the placement & maintenance!
Specific:
The location was pretty clear, no other obvious place to hide it. Still took some time to find the cache thanks to it's original hiding method, tftc!

Found after a brief search having just visited the Centre of NZ.
Signed the log and carefully replaced the cache as found.

We headed into Nelson city for some retail therapy & to visit the market. I got hijacked by a local reporter asking about the proposed new Nelson library...I was honest on my views! We then headed up the Centre of NZ walkway to complete an Adventure Lab & grab a few caches. We avoided the rain on our walk too which was a bonus
I was lookout on these caches as the track was quite busy with walkers & runners RNZ took a little longer than normal locating this one. A good hide!

This morning we headed into town for some shopping and a bit of caching. Struck the weather right, it rained either side of our walk up to the centre of NZ.
This was a bit of a tricky find, but I made it harder than it should have been by not thoroughly checking the spot I thought it was. Took a few minutes, all good in the end. TFTC ricklc.

Did not find this one. not many hiding places to look if i don't jump the fence or roll down the bank.
Hot walk along the track. Figured I needed to leave the track but as had two dogs in tow and sheep grazing nearby, decided to leave it until next trip
“Boom” was little Miss 6s responses when she found it. Finally after 2 DNFs along the track we found one. Nice to get out for a walk after also much rain this week.
Headed over the hill to meet up with my cousin for a nice chat over lunch. Afterwards I said to myself "Walk" or "shopping?" - and the walk seemed way more appealing.
There is 4 along this way for me to grab - including the virtual at the centre of NZ. After taking a few selfies in front of several tourists I heading off up this path. I was on my own along here so was pleased when I was struggling a bit to locate cache. Got there in the end though - tucked away nicely out of sight.

Out with Missnboyz again and today shes determined to kill me on the hills! Up ...up... up...up Nearly there. Ah..My poor Legs! Worth the smiley... Was chitchatting to much here and walked straight past the cache. Retraced steps and then a jump and shove up the hilly bit and ta-da cache found and signed. TFTC
Third time and short before got crazy. Good place good shot good view good cache. TFTC
been up to check. cache still in its original spot. replaced with a new one anyway.
What a stunning morning. In Nelson for the day due to work time to walk some serious miles and see this sea side city cleaver hide nearly had me stumped
On holiday with my dad (Hole-in-one2) who is visiting from the UK, we were staying further along the track above the founders village decided to walk along to the centre of NZ this mornign before we left the area. Overlooked it first but got it on the second pass. TFTC
It must be behind that post I said, just grab it - ouch. I was blamed of course for saying so.
So I had to jump up and look for it, this time avoiding the prickles (just as description suggests) and saw the little 'something', pulled and got it.

Out for a morning walk and grabbing a couple of geocaches. Last time I came up here it was muggle central. This morning nobody else about. Quickly spotted , signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache.
Gosh this took some time! I thought I’d checked that spot but hubby approached from a different direction and spotted something out of place. TFTC
Finally one we could find although it took a while. We came up from Walter's Bluff end. The first cache we looked for seems to be missing. The second cache looks like it might have been in the midst of February's fire, the third one had muggles sitting at it, so this was choice number four. But it was find number 1. Luckily there were no muggles around while we checked the obvious and some not so obvious places. Then something was spotted. A bit of playing around and we knew we were on to something but couldn't retrieve it. We hadn't planned on coming this far along so didn't have our bag of tools with us but we did have a MacGyver tool which eventually retrieved the cache. After signing the log, I adjusted the cache slightly so that it will be reachable in the future, even if tucked in too far. Glad to finally get one along this track. tftc
Woohoo, the challenge here was not to find it, but to get it. Waited for two sets of muggles to pass before returning it. Tftc
SJT_NZ and I checked quite a few prickles prior to reading further and discovering that wasn't where we should be focusing our efforts. A little further exploration and had the sneaky wee spot sorted, TFTC
Found with TregearP on a Saturday afternoon walk. This one took us longer than it should have - although both our GPSrs had us some 10m South. After no avail we widened the search area and soon had the prize in hand.
All in good order, took nothing, left nothing, signed log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache.

We were nearby so decided to wander along and try to find this one as well. Thankfully ML made a quick find - although it was not in the first place we looked. Thanks ricklc for the cache

Not not in the prickles either.
Oh I get it, you hid "nothing" in the middle of "nowhere". Yes, you're very smart.
The travelling fox is frustrated =u_u=

Made the incorrect assumption this cache would be at the Centre of NZ, so popped up, or was that puffed up? after dinner. Bugga still away to go and it was getting dark. My Sister and I returned the next day to walk the Bluff track, she quickly had cache in hand, pretty on to it for a muggle. What an amazing walk, the views are spectacular.
SisterCorny travelling Asia and Oceania for four month, now in New Zealand.
Before leaving for Abel Tasman later the day, we used the perfect waether so make a little walk to the Center of NZ. What a great trip...
When we arrived t GZ, we found something which looked like the cache is gone and we were about to log a DNF, but then we figured out that there was another hiding spot where we found the box. Very well hidden... TFTC

Tricky little hide. I was all over the fence and almost ready to give up when, taking one last look, I spotted something of interest. A little pull - yep, that's the cache!
Thanks for the cache!

Easy find for the morning The Mr. got it immediately. Thanks for the cache!
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Finally made it to Sunny Nelson, definitely one of my favourite places.

I am assuming this is not at GZ, which is 8m on the other side of the fence. But then it is a Diff 2.5, so I am okay with failing here. Spent quite some time hunting around, guess I'll just have to come back sometime.
I guess i found it. But it seems there was a grasshopper (or something similar) living in the Container. But he was nice and let me log
Checked cache this afternoon. Its still in place. But did replace the log sheet and made it easier to remove
Didn't look too hard but not immediately obvious. Looked at previous logs and several others had not located this one so assumed it may no longer be here.
Like Puddick, did not find...although did find a suspicious hole that was empty. Maybe it is very tricky indeed! Will check back after February.
If the hide was as cunning as I'm thinking it was....then the cache may have been stolen....didn't find it on this occasion anyway
This one almost stumped me. I walked away and came back to the same spot a number of times before I finally spotted the tell. Very cool. Thanks for a great cache.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Found on a two night stopover in Nelson

Honours go to Master B for this find as I don't think I would have found this one unaided. He stormed ahead along the Sir Stanley Whitehead track to get the first attempt at the find and then bluffed that he had not found it just to see if we could track it down. When we couldn't, he triumphantly produced the container from behind his back.
Nice one and a good container.
Thanks
